Aragorn: Lady Galadriel, in your educated opinion, how will I die?
Galadriel: Murder by an angry god. We never find the body.
Aragorn, nodding solemnly: That's a shame.
Pippin, excitedly: What about me?
Galadriel: You crave toast while taking a bath.
Pippin, under his breath: I do love bath snacks.

Rings of Power have many flaws. But Sauron / Halbrand's writing is not one in my opinion. Lots of people say there's a flaw in his character because his evil plan doesn't make sense (forging the rings) because he doesn't really do much to achieve it. Except... it's a bad reading of what the series did with this character. Here in the series, Sauron's only goal was to retire and it was Galadriel who made him deviate from this goal. I mean... the show tells us outright at the end. Sauron no longer had hope in what he was doing, he decided to live the rest of his life quietly except that Galadriel showed up and ironically gave him hope in his twisted cause. No more no less. The series has plenty of flaws, but Sauron's writing is at least consistent in the series. It's just that you're obsessed with the idea that Halbrand being Sauron must have had an evil plan in mind for the beginning of the show. Except that's not the case.

I'm baffled by the fact that people don't believe Galadriel was a "strong female character" without being a warrior and that she needs to go on a quest and kill some things to be called as such.
Literally look at this quote about galadriel from Sam in the two towers book :
But perhaps you could call her perilous, because
she’s so strong in herself. You, you could dash yourself to pieces on
her, like a ship on a rock; or drownd yourself, like a hobbit in a river.
But neither rock nor river would be to blame.
You're gonna tell me that isn't a description of a strong character? That Galadriel needs to prove her physical strength?

Next on my elves illustration set
Lady Galadriel from Lord of the Rings: the Rings of Power
I liked her in the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies (even tho I found her a bit scary) but seeing her 'origin' story in the Rings of Power makes me like her more, so I decided to paint her version, Also because her armor is great

'And now at last it comes. You will give me the Ring freely! In place of the Dark Lord you will set up a Queen. And I shall not be dark, but beautiful and terrible as the Morning and the Night! Fair as the Sea and the Sun and the Snow upon the Mountain! Dreadful as the Storm and the Lightning! Stronger than the foundations of the earth. All shall love me and despair!'
She lifted up her hand and from the ring that she wore there issued a great light that illumined her alone and left all else dark. She stood before Frodo seeming now tall beyond measurement, and beautiful beyond enduring, terrible and worshipful.
I always loved how terrifying this scene was in the movie as well, cause that's the whole point. Even the Lady Galadriel couldn't use the Ring without it turning her into a nightmare
'I wish you'd take his Ring. You'd put things to rights. You'd stop them digging up the Gaffer and turning him adrift. You'd make some folk pay for their dirty work.'
'I would,' she said. 'That is how it would begin. But it would not stop with that, alas!'
