Only Forever, 2023.
I ask for so little. Just fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave.
*The Goblin King is probably why I love villains.

A labyrinth is a living breathing maze, designed to entrap its explorers and kill them within. After centuries with none, it finally feels its first adventurer step foot inside after hundreds of years. It can’t let him die, not when that means the return of the silence of its walls.
It starts small, the delayed and slow triggers of traps making death easy to avoid. The floor rumbles and gives him plenty of time to step away from the arrows about to fire from the walls. The slowly-falling ceiling falls slowly for him to go under with ease.
When he slips into a pit of spikes, the tips mysteriously flatten under him. When he’s chased by a monster or trap, the walls open a seemingly perfect escape path for him. The intention of the maze starts to grow more obvious when a ghostly animated skeleton soon to ambush him is suddenly smashed under the supposedly slow ceiling again and again and again and again.
Messages start showing themselves in the walls, simple and short but carved clearly into so-called indestructible brick. “Please take this path” when the road diverges. “There is a gift ahead,” before an empty room that is strangely shaped like a heart. “I love you.” I love you.
It eventually reveals its darkest secrets to him, opening up its heart, its Minotaur. He knows very well that with the death of the heart comes the death of the body and the destruction of the labyrinth. He wants to stay and make it content, but he can’t bring himself to image the idea of letting it live for god knows how long in solitude. He slays the Minotaur. The stone walls cry with fear, yet satisfaction. With the last of its energy, a staircase rises, an exit out of the eventual destruction of the walls around him. Each step has one word carved into it: “Goodbye.”

Witch, familiar and labyrinth concepts from the first guidebook, You are not alone
The images go: Gertrud’s labyrinth (looks like mostly episode 1 but maybe some 2); Gertrud, Ulla and a bit of Charlotte’s labyrinth; what looks like very early witch ideas featuring early Gertrud, Roberta, Ulla maybe, Charlotte and a more current Walpurgis; early Grief Seeds or Soul Gems; more early witches feat. Walpurgis, Charlotte, maybe an Inu Daruma brother, Gertrud and some more final versions of them plus Daniyyel or Jennifer and Uhrmann; an early version of Roberta’s labyrinth featuring more of the doll head theming; an early version of Patricia’s labyrinth with an airplane and balloons that look like heads; and finally an early version of Elly’s labyrinth with an early version of Elsa Maria’s labyrinth below
I absolutely ADORE early concept art and seeing how it changed from initial to final, so these are wonderful

AU where Tim's family is connected to the Court of Owls rather than Dick's, and Tim decides to go undercover as a member of the Court
alt version and explanation under the cut
(Disclaimer: I know the court of owls storyline happens in the n52 continuity, but for my own sake (as i don't really like tim's whole deal in it lol) this AU is using pre-n52 backstories and characterizations)
In this AU, Janet Drake was a member of the Court of Owls, unbeknownst to Jack and Tim. Bruce eventually finds this out, but chooses to keep it from Tim to protect him. Tim, of course, finds out that Bruce is keeping this from him, and, feeling betrayed both by Bruce and his own mother, decides to infiltrate the Court on his own. The court has been sending him cryptic invitations ever since Bruce announced his initiative to improve Gotham, looking for a way into both the Wayne family and WE. As a member of the Court, Tim is able to gather information to help stop them, but in order to maintain his cover, he is forced into many situations where he is forced to choose between compromising his morals or compromising his position in the Court.

“Sonic: Nightmare Labyrinth” level concept.
Level 1: Undersea Boneyard
“This level/dream portrays Sonic’s fear/dislike of water. This underwater level is gloomy and devoid of all life. Because careful where you step, though. There still may be something hiding underneath the sand…”
