Hazel Levesque in TSC

She is a warlock. The high warlock of LA, which just means she is the boss. Her warlock’s marks are cat ears and tail. Her magic color is a combination of purple and gray.

Hazel was born in 1928 to her mother, Marie. She was 13 when her ears and tail appeared, and she was disowned soon after that. She moved back to her home of New Orleans, where she explained what she was to Sammy Valdez, her boyfriend. Sammy understood, because he had a secret of his own. He was a Shadowhunter. At the time, marrying warlocks was illegal, so Sammy left the Clave (shadowhunter government). He and Hazel adopted abandoned warlocks and orphaned Shadowhunters and helped them find a home. After Sammy died, Hazel fled to Alaska, the last recorded place of her mother. Her mother had died several years before however. In 2000, Hazel relocated to LA, where she positioned herself as the high warlock. She works closely with the LA institute to help train Shadowhunters. One of the positioned Centurions, Frank Zhang, had captured Hazel’s heart, but she fears to fall for him, lest she be alone again.
