I’m finally watching The Flash movie and I’ve got to say, I’m only a few minutes in but Batman here is more enjoyable (at least to what my mind thinks when I think Batman) to what was happening in The Batman movie. Im not even sure why, but it just feels more right. And it’s not even because I like Affleck more out of the two.

Also, you best believe I started fangirling when Diana’s lasso wrapped around his arm. I’m just here for the wonderbat and that’s it.

to make up for the dramatics here's a few paragraphs from the give and take sequel (which will hopefully be done soon!) <3

“I’m home,” you said softly as you padded into the kitchen, trying not to disturb him. He hummed in response, and hummed again when you kissed the top of his head. It always flustered you how domestic the phrase was. I’m home. As though you were in the sort of movie that would feature San’s smiley-face breakfasts. It was made all the more honeyed by the fact that, excluding a week or two every now and then and a few scattered nights, you didn’t even live with San. You couldn’t picture yourself saying something like that to your flatmate who you lived with, and yet when you stepped into San’s house it felt wrong not to say it. 

San went about his work while you poured yourself coffee from the half-full jug San had made earlier, the kitchen and living room filled with the click-clack of his keyboard and your teaspoon clinking against your mug while you mixed in two sugar cubes. You couldn’t help but think then that as cheesy or overly domestic the phrase I’m home was, it was never a lie. San’s house always felt like home to you lately. 

He paused his typing when you sat down beside him, glancing quickly at your mug of coffee and then at his own empty one, pouting as he no doubt considered whether he should refill his mug. He gave up the internal argument quickly, refocusing his attention on the screen while you focused yours on him. He looked the same way he did when he’d been your professor, only now you didn’t feel guilty or embarrassed when you watched him make that expression. Now you could admire him while he worked and feel only butterflies in your stomach. You sighed when there was a break in his typing and leaned in to kiss his temple, smiling at the sound of surprise he let out.

“You’re so handsome when you work,” you said softly, making him turn to look at you. “It’s so cool how much you like your job.”

The kids have been very into Mario Kart lately and it makes me laugh every time either of the girls say Luigi. L pronounces it Uh-wigi and A pronounces it f’ligi. It’s so cute, I’ll be so sad when either of them start saying it right.

Hey! Just popping in to say that I think it's super cool to run into a dedicated fan of Matthias, ha ha. I liked all of the relatives finally introduced in Hopes (aside from Gregoire 🤪) and thought it was a shame that the fandom's reception towards Papa Gautier was on the more tepid side of things. He's a deeply flawed and troubled man, but that's exactly what I like about the guy!

Thank you friend! I agree wholeheartedly. My favorite part of Hopes was how they fleshed out Matthias.

He’s a very gray man (personally I think he has good intentions behind his actions - they’re just not always…well executed 😅), he’s been through a lot in his life, and he’s certainly lost a lot.

I can understand why the fandom has reservations about him, I’ve never said he’s winning any awards for parenting, but it is a bummer he doesn’t get as much love. (If nothing else, people gotta love academy Matthias running around and getting into shenanigans with Lambert and Rodrigue, right?! 😉)

I’ve got a cold again and I’m pushing through and I’m at work because it’s still mocks week so my workload isn’t as heavy. Nancy walked in and asked if I was okay and then was like if I’m not feeling great I should just go home. And she reminded me none of them would ever think less of me (which I know but hearing it meant a lot) and then she was like cos you look like shit so we know your lying. I laughed. I know she’s teasing. She gave me a hug and it almost made me cry because how lucky am I?? Like honestly the support system I have in this English department is unbelievable. I’m so grateful

thinking of closing some of my current "series", at least for the time being (it's starting to feel weird knowing people are waiting on things that i'm not sure i can deliver) and also hoping to drop a yeosang fic sometime soon? maybe some classic hurt/comfort <3
