Miraculous Fanfic Recs for ongoing Miraculous fics

So I got an ask requesting me to give some ML fic recs, so I decided to focus on some ongoing Miraculous fics! All of these have updated within the past two months. Feel free to tag anyone who I didn't know the tumblr username of!

Once upon a time, magic was wild. The two princes of the kingdom have been tasked with choosing their brides by the end of their 21st birthday celebrations. Crown Prince Adrien Agreste will have to choose between a woman who can protect his kingdom, a woman offering the power to wake his sleeping mother, and the woman he has loved and admired for the past year. Then there's also the seamstress that he is suddenly falling for. By the time he realizes he doesn't have the power to choose at all, it may be too late.

Kind of a Medieval Fantasy AU here, though with more resemblance to regular Miraculous than I normally expect with such AUs. Kwamis are actually fae, but aside from needing some sort of "deal" in order for humans to draw out their power, they function mostly the same, with Ladybug and Chat Noir being activated in order to help fight against Hawk Moth, even.

Oh yeah, this fic was written pre-S4, so there's some oddities because of that, like Felix actually having a good father, for instance. Adrien and Felix are both still sentimonsters though.

Lows And Highs (Of Adrien Agreste) by @blackcatsbutterflies

Adrien Agreste- Teenage supermodel, son of Gabriel Agreste, hero of Paris... Type One Diabetic. When Adrien is diagnosed with a chronic illness, he goes through the mental struggles of dealing with this new life. Nothing will ever be the same again, and if anyone were to find out, he'd be humiliated. The world would find him repulsing. Who would want to love someone who was constantly giving themselves shots? Marinette would. (Based off my real life, when I was diagnosed at 13 years old.) TW: Mentions of drugs (no one does them) and the following stuff that will appear in chapters: - Needles - Blood - Paralysis - Seizures - Fainting

Oh man this one is a real treat! I know some basic stuff about diabetes, but not so much what people's day-to-day lives are like, so it was interesting watching Adrien go through this, what he has to do nowadays in order to, well, live. And since he only just got diagnosed, he's going through major lifestyle changes which is pretty overwhelming, and he's feeling pretty awful about it because well, this is gonna hit hard. Though thankfully, Marinette is able to help quite a bit.

Ladybug is the Miraculous Hero of Gallia. She has spent the past number of years fighting the minions of the tyrant Hawk Moth, only for the war to come to an abrupt end. News reveals that Hawk Moth was brutally slain by his own champion and captain of his own elite guard - the infamous knight Chat Blanc, known to wield pure destructon itself. With the disintegration of Hawk Moth's army, Chat Blanc is captured and imprisoned until his certain execution. Being a beloved hero and instrumental in the realm's defences during the war, Ladybug is offered a reward of her choosing. Instead of choosing a title or luxuries as expected she chooses...custody of Chat Blanc??? A new threat is rising in the chasm Hawk Moth left behind, and Ladybug believes Chat Blanc's knowledge and skill will be vital in what's to come. And perhaps he could also answer some questions that have plagued her since even before the war with Hawk Moth began..

This fic is awesome so far, I adore a good enemies AU and Fantasy AU, so both of them together is great! There's a lot we don't know yet, like the specifics of how akumas work in this AU, but I'm eager to know more. Just as Ladybug's eager to try to find out what happened to an old childhood friend of hers who vanished around the time Hawk Moth rose to power...

Summary for "Found", the first multichapter installment in the series:

Chat Noir and Ladybug need to tie up some loose ends. Unfortunately, one of those ends is Felix.

I've really been enjoying my time with this series, and if you like Felix-focused fics, you might too! In this universe, Nooroo and Duusu actually used to play with Felix and Adrien when they were little, but Gabriel made Adrien forget that happened - Gabriel and Emilie edited out a lot of little inconvenient things from Adrien's memory, as it turns out.

Anyway, we mostly follow Felix post-Strike Back as he figures out what to do now that he has the Peacock Miraculous. The heroes bursting in and confronting him about it kinda forces his hand.

He goes through a lot of character development here, which I adore, especially when it comes to realizing "oh crap, I sold out living beings to someone who I knew would mistreat them." This series tackled that subject better than any other fanfic I've seen, with Felix directly helping to recover the Miraculous and free the kwami, feelings guilty upon realizing how badly Gabriel had hurt them, and having to deal with a lot of the kwami not liking or trusting him for very justifiable reasons - though they ARE willing to understand why he did what he did.

Kintsugi - The Beauty in Broken Things by @xaran-alamas

When freed from Mayura's control, and given a chance at a normal life, the Sentimonster clone of Ladybug must learn what it is to be not only a hero, but also a human being, and part of a family. Meanwhile Marinette needs to figure out what to do with a hyper-energetic Kwami with a broken Miraculous. Updates Sundays and Wednesdays

I've always loved Sentibug Lives AUs (as you might guess from my having written two fics where she gets to stick around), and this is one of the best ones I've seen, and certainly the longest.

I love how we get to follow Centi (as she names herself) as she tries to figure out what to do now that she exists and is likely to stay that way, and as she tries to cope with the knowledge that her creator controlled her and when she disobeyed, tried to kill her. She's a nicely developed OC, her feelings are really delved into!

“What’s wrong, Marinette?” Marinette wiped her tears with her sleeve, and pulled away just enough to reach into her pocket. She gripped the pregnancy test and held it out to her mother. Sabine’s eyes widened as she took in the results of the test in her hand. Her gaze flashed back up to Marinette’s. “You’re pregnant.” And it wasn’t a question, but it was enough to send Marinette into devastated tears once again. Her mother pulled her back into the hug and just held her. “It’s going to be okay.”

Teen pregnancy fic here, which I know isn't everyone's cup of tea. I love how everyone comes together to help figure out what to do and to offer support - and not just to Marinette either, since Adrien's about to be a father as well.

Golden Bug and Chat Grise are the heroes of Paris, fighting to protect civilians from Hawk Moth and his akumas. Marinette is Gabriel Agreste’s young apprentice, training under the famous designer to become the next big name in fashion. But one day, Marinette finds an open safe with a beautiful peacock brooch in it... and suddenly, she’s not sure who the villain is anymore.

I love Enemies AU, as I've already mentioned. This is a more unusual one, with MARINETTE being the one on Hawk Moth's side instead of Adrien. I love how Rosie painstakingly weaves together Gabriel's manipulation and lies so you could actually believe that Marinette might be willing to help him - maybe not very enthusiastically, but believing that it's the best option she has. It's pretty impressive!

In the small town of Bellerose, Marinette and Adrien are childhood friends while secretly pining for each other. They lead happy lives until one day a long, forgotten promise is stirred awake; changing their lives in ways they couldn't imagine. With time marching on, Marinette is left to chase after ghosts of her past as a strange creature appears in the depths of the mysterious forest. Arc 1: Chapters 1-11: Complete Arc 2: Chapters 12-?: In Progress -- Werecat!Adrien x Marinette

Fair warning, this is an M-rated fic, and it earns that M rating, given it has several extensive sex scenes.

Anyway, I love a good fairy tale AU, and this is one of the better ones I've seen. I love how it's clearly inspired by Beauty and the Beast, but doesn't constrain itself by it. Adrien is not a jerk nor does he capture Marinette. Instead he randomly changes into a Werecat and is abandoned by his family, mistaken for a lumbering beast by the townsfolk, left alone for a year - until Marinette comes to visit the Agreste mansion, the home of her friend who just suddenly left one day, and she sees him in his werecat form...

I love this, Marinette is drawn to Chat, even with him looking pretty terrifying. Adrien's pretty insecure about his whole situation, but slowly opens up as he gets to reconnect with Marinette.

Late but Regarding why the Miraculized were able to use all the miraculous Felix traded Gabriel, I have to ideas.

During passion, Gabriel specifically says "Remember Safari, you can't use more than six powers at once" it's possible that the limit was only for her due to her body already failing her. Though on the possibility that it was meant for every Alliance user then it's also possible that due to how all of the Miraculized looked identical it could be that none actually surpassed that limit but due to shot changes it might have appeared as if they did

Probably the more likely option at least in my opinion due to how Gabriel had a Global size Army worth of them he likely didn't cared if they slowly started to die off or if they're ring slowly give out from the stress especially due to how far he was gone as well as how his wish was going to destroy the world anyways.

That's a decent idea, but here's the problem with your argument: In "Transmission", Kouki, a perfecly healthy person, was wearing five Alliance rings, which Monarch took note of.

Monarch: So much anger in one single person! With five Alliances to boot? Rejoice, dear Kwamis! Five Alliances enables as many Miraculous powers to transfer at the same time! This villain promises to be exceptional!

They clearly establish that it's one Miraculous power per Alliance ring thanks to this episode, and we can't use the frail body excuse because Kouki isn't sick like Nathalie is. Not only that, but Kikou never shows any signs of fatigue from temporarily having access to five Miraculous powers at once. Therefore, by the show's logic, there should only be just over a dozen Miraculized rampaging throughout the world.

Supreme Identity theory

Wang Fu if he used the Miraculous to win WW2.

We know from Origins that Fu had tried to entrust Miraculous to holders before when he told Wayz he “only got it wrong once”. We also know from Backwarder and from the first ep of S5 that he was in France during the Nazi occupation, and that he was running from Nazi’s who had somehow discovered the Miracle Box and the powers it contained. We know this because we hear soldiers shouting to retrieve the box.

Now, we know from the episode Feast that the temple was destroyed and he lost the Grimoire, the Butterfly, and the Peacock because he was too young and frightened to think to simply end the sentimonster’s existence with the power of the Peacock.

Imagine this, what if, in Hesparia/Betterfly’s universe, Master Fu’s resentment of the Order of the Miraculous that took him away from his family was far stronger? Imagine if that Wang Fu had created a Sentimonster to destroy the Temple ON PURPOSE, but was able to use the Peacock to destroy the Sentimonster after, and as a result, he kept all the miraculous and the Grimoire.

But he would not be able to return home after essentially becoming a murderer, especially when his family had emphasized what an honor joining the Temple was.

But now he is still an angry teen, with a magic box of unlimited potential, and, having grown up poor, certainly now he can change that… And he has a spellbook that can help him.

Keep in mind that the Temple is in Tibet, which is a part of CHINA, which was originally Imperialist, then Nationalist before becoming communist sometime around the 1950’s.

Now, the ONLY reason Germany and Japan surrendered in WW2 is because they were scared of the Soviets. China was an ally at the time because they hated Japan, and Germany, but they have also always hated Russia. The atomic bomb was a waste of time because Japan did not care; they were willing to keep fighting the allied forces even if the Americans nuked them off the map. They only surrendered to us because Russia advanced on them and they knew the USA would be more merciful.

THIS is why after WW2 we delved into a cold war with the Soviet Union, because even though technically the Soviets won the war against Nazis and Japan, the Atomic threat of the US was nothing to sneeze at, at least until they could develop nuclear weapons of their own to be an equal threat.

REMEMBER that Marianne wanted Fu to use the Miraculous to fight the Nazi’s during the occupation of France, but he refused.

WHAT IF HE HADN’T? What if Fu used the powers of the Miraculous to fight in WW2? He could’ve created a magical army of super-soldiers that could’ve beaten back germany AND japan because the Manhatten Project even became a daydream, and would’ve made the Soviet’s wet their pants.

Of course, by this time, he would’ve had enough time with the Grimoire to uncover it’s secrets, and found ways to exert control over the kwamis and their miraculous even if they were lent out to holders.

As the owner of the magic jewels that brought an end to the second world war, he would become a VERY powerful man. And, based on the values of his homeland, he might even wish to re-shape the world in a more Centralist fashion, appointing himself as the Supreme Leader.

This world would frown on mutual aid. And, as many comics have suggested, (both Marvel and DC) without the creation of the Atom bomb and the effects of nuclear radiation mutating DNA, things like superpowers would not exist (at least not without Magic or extra-terrestrial beings like Majestia). This would mean you can forget about the Untied Heroes of America. And the world would be ruled by one leader, who could grant power to those he saw fit.

We know that in the parallel world of the Paris Special, Gabriel is different because he chooses to move on rather than become obsessed with Emelie. We know that Sabine is NOT a calm and supportive mother her daughter can rely on and find comfort in… which also means no Socquliene (is that how you spell it?) was asked to watch over Marinette, and that is probably why no one else dared to try and talk to Marinette either (let’s face it, before Alya, the other girls were never really Marinette’s friends. None of them were willing to stand up for her or defend her, and not a single one of them even knew she liked Videogames until the Gamer episode, despite having known her for years). We also know that Adrien became obsessed with his grief over his mother’s death and had no interest in making friends.

Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that in that Universe, Wang Fu was not interested in upholding the values of only using the Miraculous for the greater good, but instead decided to use them for his own personal gain.

That would also explain why Adrien and Marinette are the ones who get the ring and earrings. Wang Fu chose them, albeit for different reasons.

This also means he knows who they are; He gave them their miraculous for the purpose of causing havoc, probably because he sensed that they would be tempted to use the miraculous for revenge or to vent out their frustrations, which would draw out the man who stole the Butterfly and the Peacock. And by not warning them of the consequences, he ensured a sort of dependence on him- if they want to live, they NEED the Supreme to fix the damage the Miraculous has caused their bodies, and to do that, they need to Hunt down Hesparia/Betterfly.

The fact that Tikki and Plagg were muzzled suggests the kwamis have tried to rebel/escape before, and the fact that Gimmi was blocked means the Supreme has already anticipated the possibility of being betrayed by holders of the miraculous… It shows he is prepared and has thought ahead.

Meaning he KNOWS who Marinette and Adrien are, where they live, go to school, etc. Also, since the Supreme rules the world and knows/controls all the post powerful people, it would not be difficult to retrieve the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous from the foolish teens who dared to defy him by joining his enemy.

We can conclude that the Supreme does NOT know that Gabriel is the one who stole from him because Adrien Agreste is STILL a famous model and his father is STILL busy creating clothes.

The Supreme rules the world, so obviously if he knew it was Gabriel, then he wouldn’t need to hunt him down, and wouldn’t allow his son to enjoy a comfortable life of being rich and famous, nor would he entrust a Miraculous to the son of the man who stole from him… Just as the Wang Fu from the main universe would not intentionally put the black cat miraculous under the same roof as Hawkmoth. Rather, since we saw how easily he was able to break in to drop off the miraculous in Origins, and how easily he snuck in to take them back in Feast, we can conclude that if Wang Fu had known, he would have just Ninja’d Nooru and Doosu back instead of trusting two kids with the most powerful jewels in the world.

Wang Fu being the Supreme also explains why their is no Natalie by good Gabriel’s side; she was an artifact hunter, a female Indiana Jones. But if Wang Fu never lost anything, there would be nothing for Nathalie to find, thus no reason to hire her.

This could also imply that Felix does not exist in that Universe, since we know Felix is younger. Colt Fathom was obviously a powerful and spiteful individual, so even if Gabriel could not bear to let someone else come to harm from using the Peacock, it is also safe to bet that he could not risk telling Colt his secret because Colt could in turn betray Gabriel to the Supreme. This leaves Kagami’s existence up in the air, since we do not know when she was created, but if she is younger than Adrien it stands to reason that she does not exist because again, Gabriel would not wish to risk anyone else suffering Emelie’s fate, and sharing the secret could lead to not only his destruction, but the destruction of Adrien, who has obviously been kept in the dark about everything for his own protection because knowing you aren’t human is already traumatizing… Knowing you are the cause of your mother’s death is almost guaranteed to make you seek out an express ticket to the afterlife.

MY QUESTIONS:

How are the newly reformed Ladybug and Paw Noir supposed to fight against the Supreme? They are 14 years old. They can’t go home or return to school because the Supreme knows their identities and would come after them where they live, and obviously threaten their families snd use their influence to forcibly take the Miraculous back. So by agreeing to join Betterfly’s resistance, they have become homeless fugitives.

How do they not already know Gabriel Agreste is Betterfly? This question applies to the episode Cat Blanc as well; they tracked him down to his butterfly lair, which is located underneath the Agreste Mansion. Can you imagine Spiderman finding the Green Goblin’s secret base in Normon Osborn’s basement and going “Gee, I wonder who the Green Goblin really is under his mask? My buddy Norman sure will be surprised to find out a Supervillain has been living in his house this whole time!”

The Design of Betterfly’s secret hideout is identical to Hawkmoth/Shadowmoth/Monarch’s lair. Even has the same butterfly window.

So Cat Noir being shocked that his dad was Hawkmoth, even after discovering his lair under his house, and Claw Noir complaining about his dad being busy designing clothes, despite having discovered the butterfly man living under his house, is really difficult to accept coming from a kid that excels at particle physics and seems to have an eidetic memory concerning history facts and speaks several languages fluently.

I know I might get bashed like hell for this but I don't care: Chat Noir and Ladybug are realistically the weakest Cat and Ladybug miraculous holders of their respective legacies.

And it's not just them. Every single Parisian hero of the current generation, from Rena Rouge to Viperion, are significantly weaker in terms of skill and power than their predecessors.

This isn't their fault entirely, as Ladybug and co have more disadvantages than the heroes that have come before them and there are those who don't take the job seriously [Chat Noir and Queen Bee].

They're Very Young

The first most glaring issue is the fact that they are still minors. The most consistent rule of the show is that a miraculous being used by a child is like the free trial version of a streaming service. Five minutes after using their special power, they will de-transform and will need to feed their kwami to resume their transformation. Unlike Hawkmoth and Mayura who can keep up their transformation even after using an akuma/amok, Ladybug and Chat Noir have to proceed with caution because they aren't grownups which limits their ability to fight all out. This is especially the case with Chat Noir and Ladybug as they are the main superheroes and characters used to emphasize this rule.

If the wiki is to be believed, then previous Ladybugs like La Déesse Coccinelle, Piao Chong, Tentomushi, Jeanne d'Arc (in the mlb universe), and Mudangbeolle were all adults according to their respective time periods and didn't have the same restrictions that the current Ladybug has. The same could be said about previous foxes, bees, turtles, snakes etc.

They Lack the Necessary Training

The second drawback that Marinette and Adrien have are their backgrounds. More specifically, their comfortable lifestyles. Marinette in particular, went from a clumsy girl who lived a normal life to a beloved superheroine in just one day. Not that there's anything wrong with that on a character level, but on a logical level it makes sense for her to be ill prepared for the duties of a hero at first. She was thrusted into it suddenly with no training [something I see is regularly addressed in crossover fanfictions with Batman and the DCU] or any background in combat, the latter she had to learn on her own. Though it's hinted at that Sabine is an exceptional fighter, it's pretty clear that she taught none of it to Marinette.

Adrien at least has some combat training in the form of fencing which is evident in the way he uses his staff like a fencing saber. But as someone who has been fencing since I was seven and been up against many talented opponents, Adrien strikes me as mediocre at best. He beats Kagami in Riposte sure, but by real fencing standards Adrien would be slaughtered by someone who had been trained their entire life to be an Olympic worthy fencer [Kagami].

I'm bringing this up because literally every past Ladybug, Black, and others have experience in combat, were vigilantes in armies, were warriors before using their miraculous, or fought in actual wars therefore becoming hardened veterans. In this category Adrien [again, even though he's mediocre] and Kagami are the only heroes of the current generation who have previous training in the form of a combat-oriented sport. Though, in my opinion, Kagami as Ryuko is the only hero that can hold a candle to her predecessors.

Alya, Nino, and Chloe are also very weak in this regard due to the aforementioned reasons above. They all have comfortable lifestyles and were thrusted into the world of heroes without any training or focus. Chloe nearly ran into a wall because she wasn't paying attention and Alya needed to be guilt tripped into giving the miraculous to Ladybug by Trixx. You can make the argument that the miraculous costumes make up for their lack of actual experience, which is 100% valid, but I can also argue that having battle training or any sort of athleticism can make a hero even more effective. I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion, but Kagami will always be the most effective and skilled temporary hero as evidenced by her being able to piece together her transformation phase, her attention to detail, her impressive battle awareness and her ability to right her mistakes [jumping into the fight without listening to Ladybug's plan in Ikari Gozen] with her quick thinking. Say what you will about her, but Kagami is objectively the best candidate to be a permanent hero, especially since Chat Noir has been demoted to sidekick/temporary hero status.

[Kim is also an athletic person, but his skill is in swimming, which isn't helpful unless he has an aqua form, which he doesn't so ehh]

They Have Little to No Knowledge of Their Own Powers

The third thing that the heroes have going against them is their lack of knowledge about their powers. By this point in the series, the heroes are just going with the flow and figuring things out for themselves as they go along.

As we know, these are the first heroes since the Order of the Guardians was destroyed. This context is important because in Feast, we learn that countless grimoires and Miracle Boxes burned away or eaten.

The miraculous date back to Ancient Times so there had to have been thousands of years of documented information about the miraculous of the Chinese Miracle Box. I'm not even going to say it's an assumption. It has to be a fact that there were secrets about each miraculous including how to train each Guardian that would have been extremely helpful to Ladybug and the others if they had access to it. Master Fu is responsible for tens of thousands of years' worth of knowledge being snuffed out in just one night.

This puts the heroes who wielded a miraculous after the Order was destroyed at a significant, almost sad disadvantage to those who were heroes before the Order fell. It's highly likely that after gaining their miraculous, previous heroes had access to the archive in which they could learn to utilize their powers to their absolute fullest potential. Whereas with the current heroes, it feels like they can only use a fraction of their miraculous's abilities.

Another problem with their lack of knowledge is the time separating Ladybug and Chat Noir from their predecessors. Bo Rua and an unnamed Vietnamese Black Cat were the last LadyCat duo before Feast swallowed the Order, with Adrien and Marinette being their immediate successors. However, Master Fu was confirmed to be in his 180s when he relinquished the Miracle Box to Marinette and Austruc confirmed Bo Rua and her partner to be in their early twenties, meaning that Bo Rua and LadyNoir have over 200 years separating them, confirming that their knowledge was lost over time after they died and can only be recovered by speaking to their spirits like in Reunion [which I have several complaints about]. Master Fu is obviously lacking knowledge about the miraculous to a severe degree, so it makes sense for Chat Noir and Ladybug to as well.

I'm not bashing Adrien and Marinette and co for being objectively weak because it makes so much sense. They lack proper training, they're kids with set limits on their powers, and they don't have access to crucial information that would've probably led them to defeat Hawkmoth by now. Sure, the two of them [more so Marinette] are the strongest heroes of their generation but if you put them up against their forebearers, they would be massacred with no difficulty whatsoever.

The show would be 100 times more interesting if this was acknowledged, which would lead to the introduction of the previous holders in a more natural and useful way.

Tell me, is there anything you wish had gone differently on Miraculous?

There are quite a lot of things in all honesty. In general, I enjoy the show the way it is now. However, since I'm just another individual with her own tastes lmao...

Here are a few things I could do with and without in canon from what I can remember.

What I didn't like:

-- The whole love rivals bullshit. My immense dislike for Luka and Kagami aside, I've always hated love triangles and stuff like that. What got me and many others into the show is that Marinette and Adrien were their own rivals of their alter egos for each other and were chasing each other in circles. It was refreshing and cute and silly! I don't care if "oh, dating other people before you come across your true love is the norm" is more 'realistic'. THIS IS A MAHOU SHOUJO! FUCK OUTTA HERE WITH THE STUPID LOVE RIVALS.

-- Episode Qilin. Rewatched it the other day when it came on TV and both Officer Roger and that nasty ass bus ticket checker should have gotten their ass beat.

-- All those heroes in the NY special. It just made Ladynoir lose their uniqueness as well as downplay their powers as well as Le Papillon's. I would have rather that Marinette/Ladybug inspired Aeon and Jess to become heroes just like she did with Fei in the Shanghai special.

-- There are way too many people with a miraculous. The only 'big' team I want is Ladybug, Chat Noir, Rena Rouge and Carapace. Everyone else can get lost HAHAHAHA!

-- Chloe should NOT have gotten the miraculous more than once.

What I would have liked:

-- I really wanted a Guardians vs Ladynoir arc. It would have been so cool to see and emphasise the "Me and you against the world!" line! I wanted to see their morals and beliefs clash and for Ladynoir to overcome them and show what amazing heroes they are. And then they could have teamed up to take on Le Papillion and his akumatised army or something amazing like that.

-- I wanted Felix to have a one-sided crush on Marinette. It would have been cute. Adrien has evil, mean girls after him so Marinette should as well!

-- I also wanted Felix to continue doing his own thing before officially becoming part of the miraculous team. He looks so out of place.

-- I wanted at least a whole season of Ladybug thirsting over Chat Noir and Adrien thirsting over Marinette before they got together. I also wanted them to get headaches over 'loving two people at once' and drive the kwamis insane.

-- Chat Blanc should have been one whole season long!!!!! I also need more mentions or references to him!!!

-- I wish they kept the animation consistently high quality throughout the show. All that budget went into film! Chloe's hair.

-- I really would like more Cheng lore. I'm so curious about Sabine's sister and their parents and if they ever met Marinette. I hope we get that in season six.

ML Reboot: Miraculous: Heroes of Miracles: Lieutenant Liberty

- Lieutenant Liberty was born in 1923. Born and raised in Harlem.

-Born with the name James W, Rodgers.

-He joined the US Army during WW2. Despite times when that was rather difficult to do.

-While working as a support, he ended up getting protecting a young child from a bombshell.

-The boy’s parents took in the soldier and helped him heal.

-During that time, they saw a valiant spirit. Having cowered and stayed hidden as the war was going on, they saw this soldier and hand him a necklace as a show of gratitude. He accepted as they were insistent on it.

-He left shortly after and tried the necklace on. That’s where he met liiri

-The young Kwami had been dormant for decades and was excited to finally have someone to talk to.

-James and Liiri became friends and James learned about how the miraculous worked.

-He transformed into Lieutenant Liberty.

-Using this power he helped turn the tide of some key battles in history.

-He encourages his Allies, freeing them of doubts and panic. He also freed Countless war prisoners and concentration camps.

-He killed hitler (Miraculous has a whole revisionist history, so yea. He kills hitler.)

-He met Fu and Marianne during the time he helped liberate France.

-After the war, he was given the Medal of Honor, He also revealed his identity to the American people during this time. (His costume covered his body entirely, so seeing his true face was a surprise. This did however help give great strides in progress to America.

-Now in the public eye he helped deal with several issues back home.

-James married his Childhood sweet heart Olivia and they had 4 kids. Their Eldest, Jerome volunteered to take over as Lieutenant Liberty after his father retired.

-He stayed in contact with Fu during the time. He eventually passed his miraculous down to his son, Jerome, who passed it to his daughter, Jessica the current Holder.

-Jessica is the current holder of the Eagle miraculous and she was trained by her Father and Grandpa.

Trivia:

-Lieutenant Liberty is based off Captain America, even his names have individuals that have held the title. Though his main inspiration was Falcon.

-Lieutenant Liberty is African American.

-His costume covering his entire body was a reference to Black Panther.

-Comic books of Lieutenant Liberty were printed during World war 2, they were stopped briefly after the reveal of his identity only for an outcry from the public to have the comics put back into publishing.

-James was very aware of social issues and always pushed the envelope, always wanted freedom for more people.

-Liiri believes James to be someone with a spirit of freedom greater than many he has seen.

-When Jessica took the mantle, she wanted to change the name to Freedom Falcon, or Freewing. But After learning why her family never changed the name she kept the legacy alive.

Alright, let’s see…

Maison Kurtzberg is dead

Nathaniel discovers the Coven Box in his room on the anniversary of his death, finds out he’s 1/64th warlock, and that his father was Scarlet Warlock, beloved underground hero of Paris until his untimely passing

With Maison now gone and seeing that Nathaniel has come of age, he is now the Guardian of the Coven Box and next in line to become the next Scarlet Warlock

Of course, Nathaniel’s freaking out, becuase how can he possibly live up to the standard his dad set?!

But the Kwamis assure him he’ll do well when the time comes

A week before the start of school, Nathaniel comes across an old man who introduces himself as Wang Fu, the Guardian of the Chinese Miracle Box

He has Nathaniel follow him to the massage parlor and warns him about the Butterfly Miraculous being discovered and used for evil purposes by an unknown user

He explains that the Ladybug Miraculous can be used to purify Akumas, but it needs a worthy holder and need to be balanced out by a holder worthy of the Black Cat Miraculous

So, naturally, he wants Nathaniel to choose someone

Nathaniel: WHAT?!

Master Fu: Yes, I trust your judgment.

Nathaniel: You just met me five minutes ago. How do you know I’m not some psycho?

Master Fu: You would’ve incapacitated me and ran off with the other Miraculous.

Nathaniel: … True. Okay, I’ll choose someone.

When the first day of school arrives, Nathaniel is terrified, because he’s worried he’ll choose the wrong holder and doom Paris once the Butterfly holder sends out an Akuma

So, Loki gives him a hand. After transforming into Nostradamus, he gets a glimpse into a limited number of possible futures, showing different people in his class with the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous

And, the best possible future is the one where Kim has the Ladybug and Max has the Black Cat

So, he’s got his answer

It works out well, they defeat Stoneheart… Then more Stonehearts appear, but they’re frozen, so that’s good!… The. Ivan gets Akumatized again and leads his Stoneheart army

After calming Nathaniel down and assuring him he made the right choice, Screech prompts him to transform into Scarlet Warlock and aide Scarlet Beetle and Ikati Black

He amplifies their powers, allowing Scarlet Beetle to create non-physical lucky charms such as a bright light to blind the Stoneheart army, and allows Ikati Black to destroy whatever he commands, and makes the ground crack under the Stoneheart army’s feet, trapping them in a deep hole

The Butterfly villain makes their appearance through a bunch of Akumas, introducing themself as Malachite (Malachite is a species of butterfly)

After Scarlet Beetle purifies the Akumas and defeats Stoneheart, Scarlet Warlock makes himself known to the other heroes

Of course, they’re freaking out, becuase there’s a new incarnation of the previous Scarlet Warlock

He informs them that he chose them to wield the Miraculous and that he’s the new Guardian of the Coven Box. Whenever they need backup, they can let him know until Master Fu is ready to make himself known

So, meanwhile, Nathaniel is scoping out possible holders for each Miraculous. He takes one Kwami with him to school so they can get a better look at those with potential

It’s not long before the media eventually catches wind of the new Scarlet Warlock, and now he’s being swarmed by reporters questioning if he’ll ever be able to live up to the previous hero, which pisses Nathaniel off a bit

While Scarlet Beetle and Ikati Black help take some of the attention off of him, there are still some nosy people

When a new Akuma arrives, Scarlet Beetle and Ikati Black realize they need a new ally, and Scarlet Warlock has the perfect choice

They meet Lady Nevermore, the Raven Heroine who’s able to defeat the unpredictable Akuma using her power to see into the future

And surprise, surprise, it’s Juleka!

She’s actually had a suspicion Nathaniel is Scarlet Warlock and it was confirmed when she caught him transforming. Of course, she let him know and gave him his word she wouldn’t tell anyone since she knows the consequence

It eas at that moment, Lokii found their holder

Meanwhile, in his civilian life, Nathaniel’s become quite enamored with a certain writer but has no idea how to go about it since Marc is clearly out of his league and probably has dozens of guys after him

Let this be a lesson. Even gorgeous people can be super antisocial introverts

Also, he’s been meeting with Master Fu on weekends to learn how to become better acquainted with the Coven Box. According to legend, Miracle Boxes part of a bloodline can form a connection with the Guardians, but as it gets passed down, that connection needs to be formed again to build familiarity

Soon, Nathaniel is able to turn to pages written by previous Scarlet Warlocks (And one Witch), which were locked by the Coven Box

And the best part… SPELLS! They kind of got the same vibe as Eclipsa’s spells, but they’re totally safe… Yeah, they are

Nathaniel doesn’t really have a reason to use them as Scarlet Warlock, but it’s pretty cool to know how to use magic

As more creative Akumas show up, Scarlet Warlock calls in more allies for Scarlet Beetle and Ikati Black- Scorpix, Pack Leader, Spotlight, Charmer, Nocturno, Killer Croc, Jane Doe, Wydowna, Kero, Sarcophia, Trioceros

They’re allowed to keep their Miraculous, but only transform when the situation calls for them so that so many Miraculous aren’t out all at once. It gives the users time to train themselves a little bit more, too

On a Scale of 0-100, you’re an Angel four times over: ch 4

Training with the Amazons was far more intense than any of the basic martial art classes her mother had once enrolled her into. The differences between the two were laid out in plain sight as her body became every bit the weapon she was learning to wield under the Amazonian’s teaching.

Sadly, Adrien couldn’t join the training as often as she wished. He did join whenever there was a break between his civilian and alter ego’s lives, but that wasn’t very often, between photo shoots and their alternating patrol schedule. They have been using online communication to stay in contact through enchanted communicators that acted the same as any regular phone. The only real difference was its ability to appear and disappear at will.

The guardian, while Adrien is away, learns a great many things during her time on Themyscira. She learns not only from the Amazons but also from a former miraculous holder who had once been a part of the order. With Hippolyta able to teach the guardian about the old order, as well as lending the bluenette what few grimoires the amazons had in their possession, the current wielder of the ladybug miraculous learned much more than she ever had under the previous guardian.

Still, some things couldn't be taught to the young guardian. Some things had to be learned from trial by fire, and what a great fire it was.

The world was lit a flame as ash rained down through the air. An army of creatures, no, magically corrupted humans, Akumas, stood amongst it all. Death and destruction spread much farther than the eye could see. The black cat falls and soon so does the ladybug. The universal balance weighs too far one way as a figure, a man, dressed in purple, glowing a bright white while floating above it all. A single poster falls before her feet, having been carried by the wind. The only thing she could make out on the poster before it too burst into flames was a date printed on the paper.

The guardian gasped awake, heart pounding as blood rushed through her body. A sharp ringing pierced her ears, as her eyes burned from the overflow of tears.

"-... you're okay! It's okay- everything is okay. Shhh… you're safe here." Tikki cooed, rubbing a gentle paw up and down her wielder’s cheek in a calming motion.

The other kwamis were flitting about nervously as their guardian attempted to calm herself, despite the pearly silver tears that continued to fall in place of clear watery liquid. She pushed herself up off of her bed in a clumsy hurry, running out of her current living quarters towards the pull of creation’s faint magic residue. The path she followed led her to one of the meeting halls the amazons had just off the shore of Themyscira, which allowed their male allies to come to meet with them without breaking the laws placed upon the island.

It was a short trip when you use portals as your method of travel. She arrived at the hall's large doors in mere moments, pushing them open with a simple wave of her hand. Strong winds move the heavy stone with ease, drawing the attention of all those present in the hall.

“I need to speak with Hippolyta.” The Guardian states, her sharp sapphire eyes cutting across the room, landing on the amazonian queen.

“Of course.” The Queen agreed before any of the people present could object. She walks over to the guardian, gesturing for them to step out of the meeting hall.

They only just get out of sight from any peering eyes when the guardian explains her reasoning behind urgently needing to speak with the amazonian queen.

“I’m pretty sure the way things are going doesn’t change, then the world is going to be destroyed on September first when the only two active miraculi on the side of good fall into the hands of the corrupt butterfly.”

“All right. How do we prevent this tragedy from coming to pass, little miracle?” Hippolyta inquires while gently wiping away the guardian’s tears.

“...You aren’t going to ask how I know this?” The bluenette asks in place of an answer, causing the amazonian woman to chuckle.

“Child, you are not only the last guardian but have also wielded and been blessed by the majority of the kwamis. There are simply some things that the gods in play have deemed worth your knowledge.” Hippolyta explained. “It is how you will use this knowledge that is the real question.”

The bluenette nodded her head in understanding, thinking over every detail she had seen. Her eyes widened as the answer revealed itself.

“There had only been two miraculi in play. What if I add more?” The guardian suggested, biting nervously at the dead skin of her lower lip.

“Do you have people you trust to aid you in battle?” Hippolyta questioned, reserving a somber shake of the guardian’s head. “Then how would you add more mircauli if you have no one to wield them?”

The bluenette was quiet for a few moments. Her hands fisted into the many layers of silk her nightgown was made of, causing her knuckles to turn a shade of white not unlike the cloth.

“Be gentle with yourself child.” The amazonian queen scolds gently, taking the young guardian’s hands into her own.

“I don’t know what I’m supposed to do.” The bluenette whispers into the air as a new round of tears began to fall. The sound, carried by the wind, makes it just far enough for the older woman to hear.

Hippolyta kneels at the young guardian’s level, with her hands still held in the amazonian’s own.

“There is only so much one can do on their own, and you, little miracle, have been tasked with so much more than any person ever should be tasked with,” Hippolyta informs the bluenette with a sad smile.

“If it’s strength, of both the body and the mind, that you desire, we can teach that here on Themyscira, but if you wish to learn more about the magic that is seeping into your very being, I’m afraid you will have to learn that else were.” The woman explains, looking back over at the meeting hall’s entrance.

"My daughter, Diana, has befriended a fair number of magicians over the years." The amazonian queen begins hesitantly. "I had called them here to ask for assistance in how to teach you, but perhaps what you need isn't more second-hand knowledge, but for someone to help you shape your magic."

In Le Choix des Kwamis, Monarque loses because of the choices the kwamis make. It comes back around on itself.

Gabriel wouldn’t have found out Ladybug and Chat Noir’s identities.

Adrien feels violated by the Alliance rings. His image, all around him, using his voice to say words he never spoke. He didn’t want them. He didn’t even know what Gabriel had done until the public release.

He’s too scared to push back against Gabriel. It’s easy to manipulate him into putting the ring on, but as soon as he’s not being watched he takes it off. He hates those rings.

Marinette won’t wear the Alliance because of her(in this case justified)paranoia. She doesn’t know Monarque is behind them hunting her, but she knows they track and record their location. She borrowed Soqueline’s ring for twenty minutes and it nearly blew her secret identity. Unfortunately, Marinette thinks this is an issue for her scatterbrained self and fails to realize Gabriel spies on every movement.

Ladybug and Chat Noir’s identities were safe. If Plagg and Tikki had never made that choice, nothing would have gone wrong.

Alya and Zoé both wear Alliance rings. Marinette could’ve warned Alya, but she didn’t know to. Marinette likely assumes Chat wears one, and he’s fine.

Scarabella and Black Minette’s first battle exposes them to the worst possible person. With fifteen Miraculous, Monarque can release an akuma and turn himself into a tiny army of invisible men with paralytic venom. With whatever morals he has, Monarque has no issue lying in wait inside a stall in the women's bathroom to attack a teenage girl.

Monarque almost won. He had the victory he’d been fighting for, but the kwamis stopped him. Tikki, the spirit of luck, cast her lucky charm to the wind to fall in Marinette’s lap. Plagg turned his cataclysme on his own Miraculous, destroying his connection to the human plane.

Why did that happen? Tikki has clear morals. She doesn’t want the wish made, and she’ll fight villains on principle. Plagg does not. Déflagration makes sure to reiterate that Plagg wiped out the dinosaurs. He goes to kill Chloé in this very episode. Kwamis do not have to be good.

Plagg and Tikki fight back, giving Marinette and Adrien the chance to reclaim their Miraculous, because of who Gabriel, Marinette and Adrien are. It’s their loyalty.

Tikki loves Marinette. It’s no coincidence that she goes to the one person who knows Ladybug’s identity. Scarabella is competent, but Tikki all but begs her to take the Miraculous. This way, she can still see Marinette.

Adrien means so much to Plagg. The Order and Fù kept Plagg on a tight leash. He offers Adrien escape as Chat Noir, and Adrien sets him free.

Plagg and Tikki trust Adrien and Marinette. When they ask for their Miraculous back, Adrien and Marinette might hesitate, but they are Plagg and Tikki’s friends, not their masters. They let go, even though they weren’t given a chance to say goodbye.

Marinette and Adrien respect the kwamis. Gabriel has abused Nooroo from the beginning of season one. The more power he gets, the crueler he is to his captives, his servants, even his son.

That’s why he lost. He made them his slaves, and they fought back.

In the end, the kwamis chose Marinette and Adrien.

Hey, so I've this au idea for a little while (and have shared it with others on Tumblr, though anonymously), and I wanted to get your opinion on it. I've had this miraculous au idea for a while, and I think I'm ready to talk about it. So, the idea is that instead of the miraculous heroes going up against evil miraculous holders instead they fight against supernatural beings. Full on magic vs. magic. We could see the heroes fight things like a necromancer creating a ghost/skeleton army using the skeletons in the Paris Catacombs, a pack of evil werewolves, a colony of vampires trying to create a hivemind Salem's Lot style, a black knight with a corrupted excalibur, a kelpie, a water monster luring in the local pool, the fae, the feywild, (playing of French mythology) the Beast of Gévaudan (or it's ghost), or Gargouille (a sea serpent that terrorized the French countryside before being killed by a Saint and then being turned into the first gargoyle) that got resurrected and is bring gargoyles to life to living to attack Paris. Maybe the miraculous could be the reason why all these creatures are in Paris (assuming this could also be an idea for what could happen after Hawkmoth is defeated, since I'm really not into the idea of the show’s next villain being another butterfly user after five seasons of it (which was already too long) (plus I don't care enough about Lila and her shitty writing and the writers dumbing down all the people around her to make her work to really care about her as a villain). Maybe all the magic from the miraculous has drawn all these creatures in, turning Paris into a magical beacon/hotspot, going off the idea that magic attracts magic.

This would be a really cool addition to the world building of Miraculous! I’ve always thought that if the Kwami exist, other magical beings should as well.

It also sounds like this new show/continuation of the previous show would be more episodic with occasional arcs rather than a fully serialized story with the villains and such, which going off of the idea that this is post HM defeat and LS reveal and etc would make a lot of sense since most of the major interpersonal conflicts have been resolved. Obviously that doesn’t mean this show can’t have ANY plot or depth, character growth and multi-episode arcs could definitely still work with this storyline. It would also be very fascinating to explore how to react to all of these new threats, especially since some of their old powers don’t work anymore (which opens up the gateway to potential upgrades or new powers to replace the old ones).

I also wonder if the other hero characters would still be featured in this story. They don’t get all that fleshed out in the show, so most of them may not seem all that compelling, but that could be another thing this new plot does, give some characters other than the MCs time to shine as individuals. (Especially since Ladybug is no longer required in every fight due to not needing to purify akumas anymore, not to mention the idea of LB and CN resolving most of their issues, so taking the spotlight off of them every now and then isn’t bad idea. Don’t get me wrong, I love those guys, I just wish we could see more of the other characters outside it being plot devices or eye candy.)

All in all, this is an excellent and intriguing idea and I would love to see it expanded upon. 10/10 concept, no doubt.

This is a Chat Noir/Adrien Agreste x OC/Reader fic! Our MC has a miraculous past of her own and is trying to grapple with that while coming to terms with her own present! Enjoy!

Sheets of snow covered Paris, citizens having either taken shelter or turned to frozen golems patrolling the streets. In the center of it all, Frostbyte smiled at her freedom, relishing in the icy breeze created with a flick of her hands. For the first time in years, her knees didn’t ache with exhaustion- she couldn’t feel a hint of the pain that plagued her body- she felt alive. Sweeping her cane upwards, she sent pillars of ice shooting into the sky with a grin, soaring up to meet them with ease. Frozen claws touched a delicate flake, a smile crossing her face as she turned her attention back down to the city, bombarding the streets with another wave of ice. “Alrighty ice queen! Your reign is over!” One of the heroes shouted from down below, drawing her attention to the city square. She dropped down at breakneck speed, slamming down to the ground in a flurry of ice as she grinned at the miraculous holder. “My my- good to see that someone respects me here.” She laughed, voice high and clear, seemingly ricocheting off the frozen buildings. She narrowed her eyes at the holder- themed after a black feline of sorts. “Getting an eyeful?” He arched his brow, suave persona only irritating her as she sent a flurry of icicles directly at his face. Long, blond hair had been tied back into a ponytail, with bangs draping over his eyes and two cute ears pinned somewhere in the mess. The suit, like most, was skintight. A faux leather texture covering his entire body, broken only by black fur around his wrists, neck, and knees. Potentially a suit power up to deal with the cold?

Testing her theory, she swept her cane over the ground, lowering the temperature to where even she felt a comforting chill. “Gotcha.” She grinned as the snow flattened into black ice, registering the skates attached to his feet. Darting forward, she jumped up, bringing her cane down diagonally to hit his side, only to quickly flip backward as he clawed at her face. Landing with only a scratch on her cheek, she grinned wickedly and jabbed his ankle, sending him sprawling across the ice. “Tell me- is yours different from hers? Will your transformation stay after your power-up fails? Or will your kwami be too exhausted?” She giggled, empty blue eyes holding nothing but ice for the hero. ---

His vision blurred, any sensation from the knee down replaced with an all-encompassing cold as Frostbyte remained a blur of obnoxious teal in his peripherals. “.... Kwami be too exhausted?” His blood joined his lower leg, though this ice was born from fear- the kwami’s had never been mentioned by any of the akuma victims before- was Hawkmoth-? “Now now- I know how butterflies work, I’m not stupid.” She laughed, the neon purple mask around her face letting Chat Noir know exactly who was on the other side of that conversation. A snowstorm started up again, clouds sprouting from her hands as she continued to laugh, turning that blank gaze back to Chat Noir. “There’s two of you- how sweet.” She seethed, those wicked claws on her hands growing exponentially. Where was Ladybug!? She was never this late- SHIT! He jumped up, narrowly dodging a huge block of ice that fell from the sky. He looked to Frostbyte, finding tears freezing on her cheeks and fists clenched. “Get him!” She screeched as an army of frozen civilians piled out from behind her, sending the hero careening upwards and onto rooftops. He was about to make a clean getaway when he barreled straight into red and black spots. “Oh Lady- you have no idea-” “I’ve got some. I heard the kwami bit- but I’ve been watching her- I don’t think this is the first time she’s been akumatized, look at how she’s got her powers-” “Do you think he’s active in other places? Or that there are multiple people with control of the butterfly miraculous?” “Chat, where’d you get that idea from?” He would’ve replied, but the golem behind Ladybug demanded to be dealt with- and the next one- and the next one- and the one after that. Every time one fell to bits of snow, it seemed to only further anger the others, eventually forcing the heroes to retreat to the Eiffel Tower. “Damnit- at this rate I’ll spend half my time cleaning up her beasts instead of fighting her!” Chat Noir groaned as he landed, laying down on the cold metal in exhaustion. “Any idea where her akuma is?” “Cane- has to be. It’s the only object on her person that would even make sense- I doubt Hawkmoth’s moved onto using bodies as vessels yet.” He remarked dryly, rubbing at his wind-burned cheeks and shutting his eyes. “Morbid- where did you even get that idea?” Ladybug laughed, pulling Chat Noir up to look over the city. The golems were closing in, piling at the base of the tower and crawling up, consuming the metal with their claws and snow. “Considering half the city is down in that mess, I think I’ve earned the right to be morbid- there she is!” He elbowed Ladybug, pointing to Frostbyte in the sky, summoning a cyclone from the tip of her cane, bringing it down, and aiming at the heroes. ---

Finish them! Yes! Hawkmoth cackled as pressure continued to build in her head, fissures cracking the cane in her hands as she struggled to keep her aim at the heroes. Red and black blurred together as her grip went slack, her cane shattering into thousands of tiny fractals as she started to plummet. “Lucky Charm!” What an odd sentiment- as if a single object could’ve prevented all of this- could somehow ensure victory… Her eyes slid shut as she took in a gentle breath, the wind roaring in her ears and chill biting through her cashmere sweater. Ah- there’s that ache in her knees- and arm- and leg. She gasped as pain shot through her bones, anchoring directly into her spine, tears slipping out and freezing over in an instant. “There you are! Gotcha!” Chat Noir grinned, pulling Cecile out of her fall by the waist, practically anchoring her to his side as he veered away to a rooftop, a blur of pink light surrounding the city as warmth spread across her face- the sun. She leaned into him, shivering and curling in on herself to try and preserve whatever she had left, groaning as he gently grabbed one of her hands. “I’m gonna get you to a hospital, can you stay with me for that long?” He asked, getting only a nod in response as he shot across the city, Cecile tucked safely into his arms. She looked up with a quiet groan, watching as sunlight filtered down through blond hair to hit her face. She smiled, looking out and taking in the city- just like when she could’ve transformed and fought along with the other holders- before all the nonsense with the hippocampus and Languis- before even Trimera had a full grasp of her powers. The hospital’s sterile air registered in her head almost instantly, drawing her eyes across the swath of nurses and doctors as she found herself removed from his arms and placed into a lifeless, scratchy bed. “...evere case of frostbite on the extremities…lucky charm?... . . . “ She blinked slowly as the nurses talked with the hero, only looking at the shocking green of his eyes as an oxygen mask was placed over her face and a warmed blanket along her body, sleep pulling her under in a matter of seconds. ---

Chat Noir watched as the nurses worked in a blur, getting a mask over the victim’s face and a heated blanket over her body, covering her raw hands and feet. “She’s got a severe case of frostbite on her extremities, looks like it’ll blister within the next few days, but she should be ok. What about the lucky charm? Did it not work?” The head nurse interrogated him, jotting down his half formed responses as he stared at the patient. Her eyes were dull, likely an after effect of Hawkmoth’s powers. Even so, the soft gray-blue seemed distant, lonely even. A hidden burden deep within her mind. He laughed quietly at the thought, meeting her eyes with a smile and a nod, the victim soon falling into the sweet quiet of sleep. He watched as the nurses stabilized her, bidding them goodbye as he took a seat, head in his hands. Plagg, you said she had zero chance of akumatization- I’m not saying that I’m mad, but I’m worried, you’re never wrong on those counts.Well I obviously must’ve guessed wrong! Or maybe he’s finally learned how to harness the numbness people have given themselves. Y’know, I’ve known lots of holders able to do that!Very comforting… Why did she take the side effects so hard? Could he have leveled up again?I don’t know, wish I di-“Cece!? Oh my god- there you are!” Jacky dropped her purse, running to Cecile’s side and pushing her hair out of her face. She sighed, kissing her forehead before finally turning around and blushing in embarrassment. “We’re related- I’m not some stranger coming in here I swear- I didn’t think she’d take it this hard! They’ve got something similar back where she used to live- even down to the heroes!” She laughed, stumbling over a few of her words in her nerves. “Don’t worry ma’am, I figured. Cece is her name then?” He smiled, standing up to offer his seat. “Cecile, she hates when other people call her Cece when she doesn’t know them too well-” She laughed, looking down to her with a fond smile, “- I’m Jacky, by the way.” She extended a hand, Chat noir taking it with a suave smile and polite kiss to the knuckles. “A pleasure. I must say, she put up quite the fight for Ladybug and I! It’s been some time since we had a good fight like that!” He laughed, bringing Jacky to chuckle as well. “No surprise there, Cece doesn’t get angry too often- but the dean called me almost instantly after the attack ended. Very few things can get her pissed faster than someone being a dickhead with accomodations. I’m leaving that office at her mercy.” She smiled down at Cecile, who was sleeping soundly, color slowly but surely returning to her cheeks.

“You think-” “Oh that’s definitely what did it. It’s her first time to have this happen to her- here. Let’s leave her to rest and I’ll treat you to some dinner. My boyfriend’s on his way with mine and Cece’s things, so you’ll be off the hook.” She offered, leading the hero out and shutting the door. --- “They’re gone!” Cotaa sighed, coming out of his designated pocket under her vest and nudging his horns up against Cecile’s face. “I’m staying asleep, stop it.” She groaned, eventually forcing herself to sit up and holding out a bandaged hand for him to rest in, kissing the spot between his horns and glancing out at the city. Sunset had long since passed, and she could see Jacky sprawled across the couch in the other room, curled into Lance underneath their blanket. “The nurses said you’re getting discharged tomorrow, Jacky already signed the paperwork. Apparently you’re healing from frostbite remarkably quickly.” He smiled as Cecile rolled her eyes playfully. “Be careful, you never know what could tip of Mariposa to our location, and I really don’t want to deal with her mess and these- akumas? Is that what they’re called?” She arched a brow as Cotaa laughed. “Yep. All the other kwami’s think it’s stupid.” “They’re right- are you ok?” She looked over his head and horns for any bruises or nicks, frowning as he flew out of her hands and into her hair. “Don’t worry! I’m a dragon! You can’t hurt me!” “Wyvern, and I have. Remember how we ended up in the hospital the last time?” She laughed, reaching up to pull him out and tilting her head when she didn’t feel his weight. “Where are y-AGH!” She jumped as she spotted someone in the doorway, fumbling around for the lights before a gentle hand stopped hers. “Talking to yourself? I didn’t know he’d hit you that hard.” A blonde man sighed, pulling his hands away as she narrowed her eyes at him. He seemed familiar- eerily so. Last she checked, she didn’t associate with nightclub performers- and the black leather cat getup wasn’t helping this guy’s case. “My apologies, ma cherie, I’m Chat Noir, and I just wanted to see how you were doing- I didn’t think you’d be awake so soon!” He smiled, pearlescent teeth reflecting the moon and streetlights from outside. “Not my first stay in the hospital.” She sighed, relaxing when she realized it was just another miraculous holder. Wait- She shot up and whipped her head around to face him, hair smacking her cheeks. “I am- so sorry! We had something like that back home and it was always people had to agree to transform like that! I don’t know what came over me!” She lied emphatically, bringing her hands to her chest as she apologized over and over… She was sorry that she caused that much of a pain in their back. She knew exactly what that felt like, she wasn’t exactly sorry for loosing her cool on that entire office. Everything was fine, Ladybug had a similar enough power to Languis, so everything should be alright. “- Said you had pretty severe knee injuries- were you even listening?” He laughed, bringing Cecile out of her thoughts. “Nope- but the knee shit was there for a long while before this, no big deal.” She shrugged, crossing her legs as evidence. “Great- well either way, I’m glad you’re alright. Maybe the next time we meet up, it won’t be for you to punch me- you give a hell of a left hook.” He grinned as a smug look crossed Cecile’s face. “Damn right I do. Watch your back, Chat Nor, and stay safe.” She nodded her head as thanks as he ducked out the window and onto the streets once again. “You could totally transform- it would help~” “Cotaa. No.” She gently rubbed his horns before going back to bed. ---

Within the day, Cecile, Jacky, and Lance were all at home, enjoying some peace and quiet over pulled pork sandwiches. “Cece, are you sure you wanna head back starting tomorrow? You were cleared for a week’s rest- and you looked like shit heading in.” “How eloquent.” Cecile laughed at Jacky’s concern, taking a mouthful with a happy smile. After only two meals on hospital food, the heat of the pork’s spices were a welcome change. “Don’t worry, J, I’m fine. Not my first rodeo in a hospital.” She smiled at her sister, jumping as a plane’s engines roared above head. ---

As his plane landed, a tall, thin man glanced out the window, thumbing over the small silver lapel pins on the collar of his sweater. Perfectly sterling, the two pins were connected by a dainty silver chain, a single aquamarine set in the middle of each diamond-shaped pinhead. They smiled, brushing their fingers against the glass as the clouds kissed the window, separated only by a few inches of pressurized air. “Just think Irii, she chose us to help her, we’ll get to fly and then you’ll get to go home just like me.” He smiled, pale grey hair draped over his shoulder, hiding the sleeping pegasus Kwami as his ears popped. “Sol… Mariposa wants you to keep an eye out for Wyvern, or try to draw her out. She doesn’t want you helping Ladybug and Chat Noir that much…” Irii yawned, cuddling into his neck. “You don’t want to help them out Irii, I’m sure once we explain what is going on, they’ll be happy to have the aid, and in turn be happy to help us.” He teased, grabbing his bag and departing as the plane landed, glancing at the TVs in the airport, most playing a news channel giving an update on the latest akuma attack.

“Frostbyte is what they’re calling her?” He tilted his head, eyes narrowing critically. “I don’t know if Wyvern could go that berserk… but perhaps her civilian identity could? Those powers are almost precisely like what she used to be able to do.” Irii murmured as Soliel held out his hand for her, dropping her into his bag. “I think you’re right Irii. Wyvern is in Paris- looks like our job just got easier.” He smiled, stepping out of the airport and hailing a taxi, French perfect and accent immaculate.

The main differences with the main universe are “Chloe confronted her mother and try’s to become a better person” “there’s no time limits” “most of the info of things after season 4 don’t exist” and “the main villains exist”

Basically is a story of how Plagg “destroying” the dinosaurs caused the Dinosaur/T-Rex Kwami to make a convoluted plan with he’s insane kwami friends which involves the rise of Humanity and the creation of the miraculous just so plagg can become friends with he’s holder so the T-Rex kwami can destroy them over and over again so plagg can feel he’s pain, till the order of the miraculous steps in and imprisons them, but Gabriel steps in trying to use the first miraculous created which have no rules or limits but this kwamis can’t be given orders either so he accidentally causes the second Great War of the Kwamis and now the heroes must defeat this evil army of Kwamis meanwhile Plagg and by involvement Adrien are soon to go through the hardest moments of their lives because plagg killed a bunch of Lizards millions of years ago

They have around 100 miraculous and possible 1000 past miraculous wilders on their records

The past miraculous users being prominent figures in history (possibly) including freaking Jesus Christ

We’re is the in world implications? Like if any virus or empire or religion was formed by the miraculous

Where is the remmants of This? Like rivers of chocolate made by Tikki madness or plagg numerous catastrophes or the bug miraculous time breaking powers or any other effect of any unknown miraculous

Where is the enemies of the miraculous? This kids have literal planet bursters gods in their jewelry (which isn’t the first time someone this stupid has this powers like Hercules if he’s history’s are true) and the order of miraculous taking children to turn into guardians which some people would be against the sole existence of the order and their methods and would try to destroy the miraculous or monsters made by the miraculous (like if someone mixed some kinds of magic with the peacock or butterfly miraculous and made a race of beasts unable to be controlled or destroyed by the miraculous or something) or natural enemies to the miraculous (like demons or parasitic creatures who feed on the miraculous powers like creatures made of dark matter or something) what happens with the evil users of the miraculous (Gabriel couldn’t be the first,right? What about a evil tiger user or evil rooster user or evil bee user or a evil ladybug user searching for the miraculous for ages and how her obsession has basically forced her to make inhuman things to live a while more so she can get her dearly miraculous back making a parallel of how Marinette obsession if ripping her apart) what about evil Kwamis (we know they’re autonomous and plagg caused massive chaos and destruction so what if he was part of a gang of evil miraculous who obeyed no one but he got reformed and now he’s gang hates him and Tikki,of what if plagg destruction made a kwami into he’s enemy which has been getting rid of the other cat users for all the ages which could be used to make the heroes face a true threat by how they have to face this gargantuan monster which has killed all the more skilled cats before him or just a freak roaming around the planet causing chaos because he’s a sociopath)

Miraculous has a massive lore potential by how chaotic,present,uncontrollable and sacred the miraculous are but they’re treated more like plot tools instead of elements of this world (and the other heroes in New York make the miraculous more like if the power rangers existed in the MCU,just this weird guys in latex doing stupid posses fighting this ugly guy and he’s army of 90’s looking bad guys which wouldn’t look this pathetic and useless if Thanos wasn’t in the right he corner fighting captain marvel which would destroy the power ranger villain of this season making everything feel a bit less impactful and Not like a part of something bigger like the movies in the MCU but just a side quest) miraculous you had so much potential but waste it on repeating the same scenes with the same characters over and over again while everything else is wasted and burn to the ground

It honestly feels like the idea of past historical figures having Miraculous was just thrown in for the hell of it, because like the origin of the Miraculous themselves, it’s not really built on much.

The only time we really got a proper explanation about something like this in canon was showing how Marquis de Lafyette had the Eagle Miraculous, and that Joan of Arc had the Ladybug while she was a revolutionary.

Other than that, we know nothing about how and why the Miraculous were given to a bunch of famous historical figures other than to possibly inject real-world history into the worldbuilding, as flimsy as it is. Again, the only time the origins of the Miraculous have been properly explained was in a tie-in comic nobody actually got to read because it was cancelled before the first major story arc could even finish.

This is why it’s a terrible idea to spend so much time introducing other heroes and different power sets, because the history of the Miraculous themselves is barely touched upon in the show.
