Kewis x Child!Reader
Summary: You're still sick
Tumblr media
Mommy doesn't get you dressed properly the next day.
She lets you stay in your pyjamas because you're sick. She's sick too but not as sick as you.
Mom, of course, still has her hurt knee but she's the only one not sick in the entire house.
Your head pounds and your nose remains stuffy even as you play with your dinosaur toys, making them attack each other because they're in a war and that's what things do in a war. They fight.
"Open," Mommy says and you firmly clamp your teeth together," Chook, I'm not joking. Open."
She's got a syringe full of medicine in her hands and you refuse to open your mouth.
You've never had good tasting medicine before and you refuse to believe that Mommy's gone out and bought some.
You keep your mouth shut.
"Chook," She says sternly," This will make you feel better."
You sniff, wiping your nose on your shirt and shake your head. You know if you talk, Mommy's going to dose you up so you settle on just glaring, puffing out your cheeks to show her that you're wise to her tricks.
"Chook," She says again," We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Either way, you're taking your medicine."
"Chook," Mom says from the sofa," Come here."
Warily, you skirt around Mommy and run over to Mom, who lifts you up to sit next to her. Immediately, she attacks your sides with tickles and you can't keep your mouth closed anymore, opening it to let out peals of giggles.
Mommy squirts the medicine down your throat and Mom's ticklish hands disappear.
You glare, eyebrows drawing together in outrage. "That was mean!" You say," You cheated!"
Mommy laughs, ruffling your hair. "It was sneaky," She says," Not cheating. You'll feel better soon."
You huff but know she's right, shuffling off the sofa to return to your toys.
Helen joins you, curling up next to your side. Her ear flicks a few times as you continue your dino war. You have to blow your nose a few times because it gets clogged but Mommy is right because the churning of your stomach settles and your head no longer feels like it does when you bang it on a wall by accident.
"What do you want to watch?" Sam asks, channel surfing as she keeps one eye on you playing with Helen.
Kristie sighs. She doesn't look as bad as you did but it's still clear she's sick. She's got a bit of a fever and the end of her nose is all red. "Something that requires me to not think," She groans, massaging her temples to stem off the headache. She's only recently taken her own painkillers so she has a bit of wait until they kick in.
"So trash reality tv?" Sam teases and Kristie whacks her with a pillow.
You're playing nicely on the rug with Helen and your dinosaurs despite how ill you are.
Maybe eating all that dirt gave you a stronger immune system than Kristie thought.
"There's Love Island," Sam offers and you whip your head around.
"No!" You say," That's mine and Auntie Millie's show! You can't watch it! It'll spoil it!"
You sound adamant and Kristie manages to get out a laugh that could have been a cough.
"It's not a new episode, Chook," Sam assures you with her own laugh," It's last season. It's not going to spoil anything."
Your brow furrows for a moment before you're up on your feet. You've got two dinosaurs clutched in your hands as you wiggle yourself between your mothers.
They're sitting close enough that their legs are touching so you make sure to force them apart so you can be comfortable.
"Last season was okay," You tell Kristie very seriously," I will watch with you so you know what's going to happen. Mom, you need to put on Love Island."
Sam keeps laughing. "Oh? I need to, do I Chook?"
"Yes. That's what I just said. You need to, Mom."
With the other options being Deal or No Deal and Flog It, Sam's pretty sure that Love Island was truly her only option and changes the channel.
Clearly, the medicine has perked you up a bit because Kristie doesn't get a moment of respite the entire episode as you narrate what's going on during every single little moment.
Somehow, you manage to put yourself to sleep during it until you're lying draped over Sam and Kristie's laps.
"And we just let Millie watch this show with her?" Kristie asks, dumbstruck and Sam chuckles nervously.
"I didn't think she actually absorbed this much of it," Sam replies," It's like she studied it or something."
You shift a little in your sleep, death gripping your plastic dinosaurs so hard that Kristie can't pry them from your hands.
"Well," Kristie says," At least she's taking her nap without arguing."
"You mean, at least you can take your nap without her interrupting," Sam teases and Kristie rolls her eyes.
She lifts your limp body easily into her arms as she stands up. "Well, just for that. I don't think you can join us for naptime."
"Hey...Kristie! Kristie, wait! I'm sorry! Wait for me!"
Kristie doesn't wait for Sam though as she makes her way to their bedroom.
She settles you in the very middle of the bed but slipping in next to you.
You wiggle a little bit as Kristie tugs you closer, laying a protective hand over your belly just as Sam hobbles in, taking her own place in bed on your other side.
Helen joins in too, leaping up onto the bed and curling herself up around your feet.
"You have to get her to take medicine when we wake up," Kristie says, already half asleep.
"No fair! She's wise to my tricks now!"
"Not my problem, Sam."

It's Different With Her (Everything Is Different With Her) (Kristie Mewis x Reader)
Tumblr media
Anonymous Request: So happy to hear you're going to be writing again!
Could you maybe write a Kristie Mewis x reader where they constantly get teased by their teammates for act sweet and domestic, the reader getting a majority of the teasing for acting uncharactisticly soft around Kristie.
You rub your hands together as you make your way out of goal, the whistle blowing loudly, signaling the end of the game against Ireland, a game the USWNT won 3-2, a number of shots on goal being easily blocked by yours truly.
You move down field, making your way towards your girlfriend, Kristie Mewis, shaking hands with the Ireland players as you go.
Kristie’s blue orbs widen momentarily as your lips meet her temple, it’s only when she realizes it’s you that she grins.
Despite her height, you towered over her, your stature making you the perfect person to place in goal.
That build made you very intimidating to say the least, but it was your attitude the exacerbated that intimidation.
Your stoicism was off-putting to some, you rarely smiled, and spoke only when you felt it was necessary, these characteristics making you nearly unapproachable.
There was one person however, who wasn’t put off by your stoicism, wasn't put off by the fact you rarely smiled and rarely spoke, and that was Kristie Mewis.
Unfortunately, during your time with the North Carolina Courage, you weren’t utilized in any such way, riding the bench more often than not.
Gotham FC approached you soon after, promising to utilize you to the best of your abilities, which was enough to get you to sign a contract, anything was better than riding the bench with the NCC.
Though the team welcomed you with open arms, you could tell that you, much like you had everyone else, intimidated them.
Kristie Mewis didn’t seem at all intimidated, the woman welcoming you with a beaming grin, something you didn’t return, choosing instead to stoically nod in place of a greeting.
Your first interaction didn’t deter her, and soon she was breaking through your hard exterior, a friendship forming between the two of you.
Your friendship quickly developed into a relationship after a shared kiss on your hotel room's balcony one night, and that relationship had been going strong ever since.
Kristie is unable to bite back a grin when you slip around her, grabbing a fan’s jersey that she was attempting to reach for before passing it to her to sign.
“Thanks.” She whispers and you smile softly, taking the jersey and passing it back after you too scribble your signature along the fabric.
Much to her and your own elation, after a month as Gotham FC’s starting goalkeeper, you were called up to the USWNT alongside Kristie Mewis, Lynn Williams, Midge Purce and Kelley O’Hara.
You quickly became a goalkeeper the team could rely on, only second to Alyssa Naeher of course.
Kristie’s eyes widen when you drop to your knees in front of her, a smile stretching across her face when she realizes her cleat had come untied, the laces now in your hand as you tie a loose knot.
“You guys are so domestic it’s disgusting.” Emily comments on her way by and you roll your eyes, shooting the blonde a glare as you move to your feet.
“We are not domestic.” You mumble as you turn back to the fans, eventually working your way towards the locker room.
Regardless of your hard exterior, you enjoyed interacting with the fans, specifically the younger ones, ones who would realize that women could do anything if they set their mind to it.
You make your way into the locker room, taking a seat in your cubby beside Kristie’s the blonde turning to you with a grin.
“Always the last one in, huh?” She teases and you shrug, unable to bite back a smile.
Kristie made it almost impossible to keep your hard exterior in place when she was around, her smile crumbling the walls you’d built around yourself.
Kristie scoots towards you, the woman taking your hand as Twila summarizes the game and the things the team needed to work on.
You, however, can’t take your eyes off of Kristie, you rarely ever could, something about her commanded your attention.
You knew that something was love, but seeing as it was early in your relationship you weren’t ready to voice those thoughts, not yet anyway.
Your eyes narrow when you catch sight of a number of your teammates smirking your way, their eyes darting from you to yours and Kristie’s joined hands and back.
You growl, rolling your eyes as you turn back to Twila, though your hand remains in Kristie’s, the woman stroking your knuckles, aware that your hands may hurt after your time in goal.
It isn’t long after that the team moves to their feet, everyone gathering their things to head to the bus, before Kristie can grab her bag however you scoop it up, a smile on your face as you sling it over your shoulder.
“You know I could get that, right?” She teases and you smile, the woman’s fingers tangling with your own.
“Oh, I know.” You smile, the woman giggling as she leans against you, the two of you making your way towards the bus under the watchful eyes of your teammates.
Watching you turn to literal putty in someone’s hands was something they weren’t at all use to, but since you started dating Kristie, you smiled more often, something you did your best to fend off before your relationship started.
You posted more on social media, pictures with the blonde during early morning runs, coffee dates and nights spent watching the sunset.
You were a completely different person with her, and that meant relentless teasing from your teammates.
“Oh, carrying bags now?” Megan teases as you make your way onto the bus, earning an eye roll as you slide into the seat beside Kristie, depositing your bags in the seats in front of you.
“Shut up.” You mumble as you drop down into the seat beside your girlfriend, the woman taking your hand.
“Ignore them.” She whispers, her cheeks flushing when you bring her hand to your lips, softly kissing her smooth skin.
“She’s completely different around her, isn’t she?” Ashley whispers softly to Trinity, the younger woman smiling.
“Love will do that to you.” Kelley comments, Emily’s lips splitting in a grin as she calls out.
“Are you guys in loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee??” She snickers, and you roll your eyes, your cheeks betraying you as they flush blood red, thankfully, it goes unnoticed by your teammates.
Instead of answering, the two of you choose to remain silent, unwilling to admit to anyone, including each other, that you were, in fact, deeply in love with one another.
************************************************************************
It was no surprise to either of you that the teasing in no way relented during dinner, especially because the flirting between the two of you didn’t stop simply because you went to a restaurant.
You grin as you lean towards Kristie, the woman leaning towards you.
“I really like when you wear your hair down.” You whisper, the blonde giggling when you kiss the flesh behind her ear.
“I’ll have to start doing it more often then.” She grins, turning to playfully kiss your jawline, your lips splitting in a grin.
Kristie moves to her feet with a sigh, the woman’s head on a swivel as she surveys the restaurant.
“I’ll be right back.” She smiles, giving your hand a squeeze before she moves out of reach, your hand and heart feeling empty without her presence.
“You two are so gross.” Trinity teases, giving you a little nudge, your eyes narrowing as you shoot her a glare.
“You can’t deny it Y/N.” Rose says from her place across the table from you, Lindsey who’s at her side nodding.
“I’ve never seen you act the way you do when you’re around her.” She comments, earning a nod from Alex who’s sitting further down the table.
“You’re a completely different person with her.”
You hum, your brows furrowing as you stare down at the table, your heart fluttering in your chest, a smile stretching across your face.
“Because it’s different with her.” You whisper, unable to hold back the smile that stretches across your face.
“Everything is different with her.” You mumble, hoping your teammates hadn’t heard, but you knew they had.
You jump when a hand settles on your shoulder, your eyes wide when you glance up at its owner, who smiles brightly as she takes her seat beside you.
“What did I miss?” She asks and you shake your head, smiling softly as you take her hand.
“Nothing.”
************************************************************************
“It’s different with her. Everything is different with her.”
Your words kept playing back in Kristie’s mind throughout dinner and even as the two of you entered your hotel room.
What was it that was different with her, what was it about her that made everything so different?
“Kris.”
She stiffens, turning towards you, her brows arched.
“Hm?” She hums as you make your way towards her, your brows knitted in confusion.
“Is something wrong?” You ask worriedly, the woman shaking her head.
Your eyes narrow as you take her hand, leading her across the hotel room and onto the balcony, a place that had become sacred to the pair of you since you’d shared your first kiss on a balcony during a late night and heartfelt talk where you stripped each other bare to one another.
“What’s bothering you?” You ask, knitting your fingers together as you lean against the balcony’s railing.
Kristie thinks it over for a moment before she speaks, her voice soft, her heart racing in her chest, the thought that you might feel as deeply for her as she did for you making the butterflies in her stomach flutter their wings.
“What did you mean?” She asks, your head cocked slightly to the side, the sight so endearing she smiles.
“What did I mean?” You ask, confusion written all over your face.
“You said it was different with me, that everything was different with me, what did you mean?” She asks, her breath hitching as you back her up against the railing, her upper back pressing into the cold railing’s bars.
You exhale loudly as you cup her cheeks, the woman’s cheeks flushing beneath your touch, your thumbs gently caressing her skin.
I meant what I said Kris.” You whisper leaning in, your forehead resting against hers.
“EVERYTHING is different with you.” You whisper, bumping the tip of your nose against hers.
“I’ve never looked forward to waking up in the morning as early as you do, but with you, I look forward to it. I used to think cafes were overrated, but now that I’m with you, I can’t imagine not going.”  You smile, Kristie’s lips splitting in a grin.
“I used to hate social media with a passion, but now, I would never miss the chance to show you off.” You blush, the woman leaning into your touch.
“I see everything differently when I’m with you. The world’s brighter, my heart is fuller, life is worth living.”
“I’ve never felt this way about anyone, everything is different with you, you’re different Kris, and I...” You stop midsentence, your throat bobbing as the words you’d been itching to say make their way up your throat.
“I love you.” You whisper softly, caressing her smooth skin, the woman’s breath catching in her throat.
“I’ve never loved anyone; like I love you.” You confess, the woman covering your hands with her own as she leans in, your lips meeting in a tender kiss, the kiss knocking the air from your lungs.
“I love you too.” She whispers against your lips as you kiss, the world falling away around you as the two of you get lost in the kiss.
You’re so lost in the kiss in fact, that you completely miss Lindsey and Emily standing on the neighboring balcony, the two sharing a glance.
“I guess they really are in love, huh?” Emily asks, Lindsey’s lips splitting in a grin.
“I guess so.”
It would be years later that they would retell the story of your first I love yous during your wedding day, your cheeks flushing when you realized you’d been heard on the balcony that night, but neither of you cared, not as long as you had each other, everything would continue to be different, because the world was different when you were with each other.

You can be a sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare II Ali Krieger x Mewis!Reader
Tumblr media
masterlist I word count: 2599
The heat of the day was gone, and it started to cool down in New Jersey. The breeze made you shiver, so did the words of Ali Krieger with whom you had a love affair for the past weeks: “Y/n, you’re 13 years younger than me and I just go through a separation from my wife.” “Ali.”, you tried to soothe her doubting face. Sadness lay in the eyes of the defender while she was looking at you: “I can’t do that.” “But you kissed me first and you said that it meant something to you.”, the hurt in your voice was undeniable.
Regret was shimmering through her words: “I shouldn’t have done that. You’re way too young for me.” “I’m not that young, Ali.”, you interjected. Eyerolling Ali countered: “You’re 26.” “Yes, which makes me an adult.”, you protested. Softly the older woman replied:” I know you’re.”
This didn’t change the fact that you were 13 years younger than her, this much you both knew.  The defender made very clear that it was time to end the thing whatever you two had going on before anyone could get too hurt. So, you decided:” I should go.”
Meanwhile Ali’s daughter Sloane was standing right behind you and interrupted your talk, with big eyes she pleaded:” Don’t go, you promised me a good night story.” “No, she’s right. She should go.”, the dark-haired woman declared. The toddler looked disappointed at her mother: ”But-“ “It’s okay, Sloane. Maybe, we’ll do that another time in the future.” , you reassuringly hugged the little girl.
Audibly Ali cleared her throat: “Goodbye, I hope I’ll see you soon.” “We play in the same team, so I guess we can’t avoid seeing each other.”, you reminded her. Nervously the older woman went through her hair with one hand: “Yes, sure.” “Bye.”, you waved at them. “Goodbye.”
Were those tears shimmering in her beautiful brown eyes? But weren’t you the one who was allowed to grieve the possibility of what you two could have become when she ended it? Confused you left the home of the woman who broke your heart.
A worried Sloane looked up to her mother:” Why do you look so sad, momma?” “I’m not. I just have a hard decision to make. But it’s bad time for you now.”, Ali tried to shrug it off. “No.”, the toddler whined. “Yes, come on.”, the defender’s lips curled up into a tired smile as she knew all too well that her daughter would be soon asleep by the time her small head hit her pillow.
“Ali! Lynn! Doesn’t my little sister look super hot in this outfit?“, Kristie Mewis yelled a week later at Gothams next NWSL game. It has become kind of a ritual that the players took pictures of their outfits before the games for social media. You stood in front of the camera, rolling your eyes at your older sister; “Kristie, stop it.“ “Just admit that I picked it out for you!“, she protested with a laugh. You objected, frowning; “I picked it out. You just lend me the clothes!“ “I picked it out!“, Kristie insisted again. You could easily forget that she was the older one. “Whoever did it, I’m sure every queer woman would be happy to unpack her.“, Lynn interrupted your discussion with a wink.
Ali who stood next to her, waiting for her turn to be photographed, said flatly; “What’s there to unpack? She’s barely wearing anything.“ You could feel your cheeks heat with anger. Before you could answer, Kristie looked at the defender; “Don’t be mean, Ali. It’s a cute fit.“ She gave you a proud smile while Ali shrugged; “It’s true, Kristie.“ Your sister deliberately ignored her negative comments and walked up to you; “Come here. Let’s take some sister photos together to send to Sammy.“ “Sammy will pout forever about the fact that she wasn’t included in this picture.“, you reminded Kristie and immediately smiled at the thought of your other sister who currently played in Kansas. Kristie grinned into the camera; “Let’s be honest, she probably would have ruined it.“ “Still, you know her.“ “Yes, I do.“, she rolled her eyes.
You had taken a quick selfie with Kristie too and texted it to Sam. Now you held up your phone in Kristies face; “Told you. She’s already pouting in her text messages. We need to send her a good snack for when she’s doing her next podcast episode to make up for it.“ “Trust me, she’ll survive.“, Kristie replied with a dismissive wave of her hand. Lynn nodded in agreement; “Yeah, she’s already busy with other things. Sammy will forget about that photo by tomorrow.“ As her podcast partner, Lynn always knew what Sam was up to. “Yeah, you two are probably right.“, you shrugged but sent your sister in Kansas a heart emoji anyway. “We are. Believe us.“, Kristie winked.
After the match Ali was standing next to your locker, arms crossed in front of her chest: “Where do you think you’re going with this outfit?” “I’m going out.”, you shrugged with your shoulders. Although her reaction fuelled your anger. She did not have a right to react jealous. Curiously she asked: “Out? With whom?” “Oh, just with Kristie and some other teammates.”, you replied nonchalantly.
Bitterly the defender answered:” Go and have fun then.” Innocently smiling Kristie intervened: “Isn’t Ashlyn looking after your kids tonight? Come on, Ali. You should join us.” “I don’t think Ali is interested in partying with us.”, you told her. Much to both of your surprise the captain of the team replied:” You know what? Why not? I got nothing else to do.” “Great, this is going to be so much fun.”, your older sister chirmed. A small smile lightened up Alis whole face: “I’m sure it will be.” “We’ll see about that.”, you whispered frustrated.
The club Kristie chose was new and trendy and settled in Manhattan. The music was good, and you and your teammates enjoyed the night out. A stranger came up to you: “Hi, can I get you a drink?” She looked pretty and you could not help but to nod along: “Sure.” “No.”, Ali interrupted the talk between the two of you. “No? I think I can decide that on my own.”, you huffed. Determined the defender shook her head: “No, you can’t.” With these words she took your hand and walked off with you.
Furiously you glanced at her: “Seriously, what the fuck Ali?” “What? It’s impolite. You’re out with us.”, she pointed out. Annoyed with her actions you scoffed: We both know that’s not why you did it.” “Maybe not. But that doesn’t matter. The others don’t have to know.”, Ali admitted.  “Don’t worry, Kristie doesn’t know with whom I spent my summer.”, you disclosed. The mentioning of your older sister made the dark-haired woman smile in amusement:” “Kristie doesn’t seem to be bothered anyway. She’s on the phone with her girlfriend.” “And where are Kelley and Lynn?”, you couldn’t help but to ask. While Ali took you on to the dance floor without asking you: “At the bar.” “Oh.”
“Come on. You should have some fun.”, she smirked. As you were starting to move to the music you wanted to know from her:” Are you enjoying your parenting free night?” “I do.”, with that said you could feel her hands placed around your hips. You tried to keep your tone light: “That’s great.” “But I do miss them.”, the older woman answered. A sigh escaped your lips:“I miss them too to be honest.” “They miss you too.” Surprised you looked at her:”Really?” “Sure. You’ve met them quite a few times.”, Ali replied while her fingers touched your naked skin which made you shiver. Secretly you hated that your body still reacted to her like this.
Apparently, she had also noticed your reaction because she quickly pulled her hand away. “Yes, that’s true.“, you replied, trying to ignore what had just happened. Ali furrowed her eyebrows, looking at you intently; “Are you okay?“ “Yes, I’m fine… I think I’ll go home now.“, you explained, turning away from her. “Already?“ “Yes. Good night, Ali.“
You took your bag and were about to leave when you suddenly felt her hand close around your wrist. “Let me bring you home. Your sister obviously isn’t going to.“, Ali decided rather than offered. You followed her gaze to Kristie, who stood off to the side with her phone pressed to her ear and giggled about something her girlfriend must have said. “We should not interrupt her when she’s talking to her girlfriend.“, you had to admit. Ali finally let go of your hand; “I’m sure the others will make sure that she gets home safe. But now let me take you home.“
Your brain was constantly screaming at you while you accepted the offer and followed Ali to her car. The car ride was unusually silent but you were half expecting the awkwardness already. When the car stopped in front of your apartment building, you realized that Ali had gotten out of the car to open the passenger door for you. You gave her a tight smile; “Thanks for bringing me home.“ “You’re welcome.“, she answered politely. While pulling the keys out of your bag, you noticed that Ali hasn’t moved.
With a sigh, you turned to her, finally asking you the question that was bothering you the whole night; “Ali… did you already find someone new?“ The defender seemed taken aback by the question; “No. I’m not looking for someone right now.“ “I see.“ “It’s all a bit much right now. I thought I’d focus on myself and my children. What about you? Are you seeing anyone?“, Ali continued. You shook your head, your lips pressed together tightly; “No. I think I’ll focus on my career right now.“ “That sounds… reasonable.“ “I know.“ You were just about to turn the keys and unlock the door when Ali spoke up again; “You know I’m sorry, right? I didn’t think when we started this. Or else I wouldn’t have put us both through this mess.“ “So you regret us?“, you asked, your voice a pitch higher than you wanted it to be. “That’s not what I said.“, Ali retorted defensively.
You heaved a long sigh; “I guess it’ll be easier when the season ends.“ “Yes. I think it will be. That gives us more space.“, the defender agreed. “Right and we’ll never have to see each other again.“ Ali rolled her eyes at your remark; “You know, you can be a bit dramatic sometimes?“ “To be fair, I learned from the best. Kristie and you.“, you laughed involuntarily. “I’m not dramatic! Your sister is!“, Ali protested with a wide grin. “Yeah, she’s a little bit more drama.“
For a second, everything felt like the break-up never happened but then Alis’ face turned serious again; “See. I’m sure you’ll be alright. You’re an amazing soccer player, smart and pretty, and you have your two sister who always got your back. You don’t need me.“
“Ali, you know that’s not true. I do need you.”, you disagreed. Her expression was unchanged as she answered: “No, you don’t.” “I still don’t care about the age gap. I thought you should know that. Good night, Ali.”, you smiled disappointed. “I do know that. Good night.”
Yet she still did not move so you asked the defender:” Ali, why are you still standing here?” “What? Oh, sorry. I was just thinking.”, Ali blushed. “Thinking about what?” “Mistakes.”, the older woman truthfully replied. Sharply you shot back: “Well, I think you made very clear that we were a mistake.” “No. But apparently think that if you keep accusing me of saying that.”, she shook her head. You could feel your cheek turn red:” Sorry.” “ I don’t think this was a mistake. What was a mistake was the fact that I didn’t think about it before starting something with you. That would have saved us the trouble.”, Ali summed it up. Slowly you nodded:”Right.”
“But now I’m wondering if it’s a mistake to let you go.”, the defender cautiously looked into your eyes. The words left your mouth before you could think more deeply about them: “Don’t let go.” This said she closed the gap between you and pressed her lips onto yours while you replied to her kiss with an equally passion, running your hands through her dark long hair. All the emotions finally making their way out as you embraced each other. Needless to say, Ali did not leave that night.
After your now girlfriends last game where was a big party being held in her honour. All her friends were there to celebrate her long soccer career. Proudly you kissed her which made Kristie gasp out loud: “Oh. My. God!”
“Why are you yelling, Kristie?”, your other sister Sam Mewis asked amused because she was well versed in the older sibling’s talent to make everything super dramatic as if you were part of a reality show. “Our little sister is making out with Ali!”, the blonde shouted into her ear. Unimpressed the taller woman looked at her:” And?” “And seriously?!”, Kristie repeated playfully shocked.
That made Sam laugh out loud: “Yes?” “Why aren’t you freaking out about this?”, the smaller midfielder wanted to know. “Should I?” “Well, they look happy, right?”, the older sister observed as she glanced at Ali and you. Giggling the middle sibling remarked: “I don’t know. They’re about to eat each other up.”
Kristie grimaced in disgust; “Ew, gross.“ “As if you and were any better with your girlfriend.“, Megan Rapinoe interrupted the sisters, giving Kristie a smirk. Sam gasped with widened eyes, happy about the mutual understanding between her and Megan; “Don’t even get me started! You can’t even have a normal conversation without them making out!“
“Let’s try it with this new couple, shall we?“, Megans wife asked, a challenging look on their face. But before she could her plan to action, Ali took her lips off of yours for a second and yelled; “We’re busy here!“ “Get a room!“, Kristie answered. You eyed your sister with scepticism; “Coming from you?“ “Don’t talk to me in this tone, young lady.“, Kristie warned, playfully raising her finger at you. You cringed; “You’re my older sister, not my mum.“
Ali got up, taking your hand in hers; “Let’s leave, love.“ “Please.“, you answered, looking at your sisters with feigned disdain. “Bye, guys.“, Ali waved while gently leading you outside. Kristie watched you with her mouth open; “You can’t just abduct my sister.“ “This is consensual.“, you clarified with a laugh. “This better be!“, Kristie yelled after you. You smiled at her and Sam, waving them goodbye; “See you tomorrow.“ “Or not.“, Kristie added. Sam snorted; “Probably not.“ “Girls!“, you called. But Ali nudged you with her shoulder, giving you a wink; “They are not wrong though.“ “Go.“, Sam rolled her eyes, gesturing for you to finally leave. Sue smiled as she watched you two; “Seems like we don’t have to worry about Ali being bored after her retirement from soccer.“ “I was never worried about that.“, Megan replied, amused.
Kristie in the meantime had taken a step away from the group and was holding her phone to her ear. “Kristie, what are you doing?“, Sam asked. “Uhm, telling mum the news?“, her sister answered, looking at her like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Sam shook her head at her; “Oh my god, Kristie. That’s exactly why I’m mums favorite.“

pushing through
The stadium was buzzing with excitement as the US Women's National Team prepared to face their arch-rivals, Canada, in the final match of the tournament. The air was charged with anticipation, and I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins. But amidst the roar of the crowd and the palpable tension, my thoughts were focused on my girlfriend.
Kristie and I had kept our relationship a secret from the world. It wasn't that we were ashamed; we just wanted to keep our personal lives separate from our professional ones. But that didn't stop our hearts from beating in sync whenever we were on the field together. Our chemistry was undeniable, and it fueled our passion for the game.
As the referee blew the whistle to start the match, I could see Kristie across the field, her hair catching the sunlight as she sprinted down the wing. I knew that this game was crucial, and I was determined to give it my all.
Minutes turned into hours as the battle raged on. Our team was defending valiantly, but Canada was unrelenting. I found myself in a fierce one-on-one duel with Canada's star midfielder, Jessie Fleming. She was known for her toughness, and today was no exception. Having played with her in college, I knew the advantages when playing against her were slim so in a desperate attempt to win the ball, I leaped into the air to head the ball, but the collision was brutal.
I felt the impact, sharp and dizzying, as my forehead connected with Fleming's shoulder. For a moment, the world spun, and I saw stars. Panic bubbled within me as I realized the game was still in play. I couldn't let my teammates down.
Ignoring the throbbing pain in my head, I stumbled to my feet, feigning strength, and forced myself to keep running. I couldn't show any sign of weakness. The play continued around me, and I did my best to stay in the game, but my vision was blurry, and the pain in my head was intensifying with each passing second.
I could hear Kristie calling my name, concern etched into her voice, but I couldn't let her worry. I had to prove I could handle this, for her and for the team. As the halftime whistle blew, I headed towards the locker room, praying that some rest would help me recover.
Inside the locker room, Kristie rushed to my side, her eyes filled with worry. "Y/N, are you okay? You took quite a hit out there."
I tried to smile, but it must have looked more like a grimace. "I'm fine, Kris. Just a little dizzy. I'll be back out there in the second half."
She didn't look convinced, but she nodded and gave me a quick kiss on the forehead. "Just be careful, okay? I love you."
"I love you too," I replied, my heart aching with gratitude for her understanding.
The second half of the game was a blur. I did my best to contribute to the team, but I was far from my best. Every time I touched the ball, the pain in my head flared up, but I soldiered on.
As the final whistle blew, signaling a hard-fought victory for our team against Canada, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. I had made it through the game, but I knew I needed medical attention. Kristie rushed to my side once again, her concern evident.
"You need to get checked out, Y/N," she insisted.
Despite Kristie's concern and insistence that I get checked out, I stubbornly refused. We have back to back games and I am finally earning my spot to stay part of USWNT and as a starter.
As we made our way back to the team hotel, I tried to keep up appearances, laughing and joking with my teammates. However, the throbbing pain in my head was becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. I could feel the effects of the collision with Jessie Fleming creeping up on me.
At dinner in the hotel, I sat with the team, trying to hide my discomfort. But it didn't take long for my condition to become apparent. Mid-conversation, I suddenly stopped talking, a sharp pain shooting through my head. My vision blurred, and my fork slipped from my hand, clattering onto the plate.
Kristie was the first to notice, her eyes widening in alarm. "Y/N, are you okay?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.
I tried to respond, but my words came out slurred, and I struggled to stay upright in my chair. Panic began to wash over me as my teammates exchanged worried glances.
Tobin Heath, always quick on her feet, rushed to my side, her eyes narrowing as she assessed the situation. "Y/N, can you tell me your name? What's today's date?" she asked, trying to gauge my level of awareness.
I attempted to answer, but the pain in my head made it difficult to concentrate. "Y/N... Today... um… d-don’t know… hurts" I stammered, my voice barely audible, my thoughts scattered.
Lindsey Horan, recognizing the seriousness of the situation, jumped from her seat and dashed to grab the team's athletic trainer, who quickly began assessing my condition.
The trainer checked my pupils and asked me a series of questions, continuing to evaluate my cognitive function. "Can you tell me where we are right now? Do you remember what happened during the game?"
My responses remained incoherent, and my teammates exchanged worried glances. The room seemed to spin around me, and I leaned heavily on Kristie for support.
"We need to get her to a hospital," the trainer said, her voice filled with concern.
The team sprang into action, surrounding me with support and concern as they guided me to the front of the hotel. Minutes later, I found myself in an ambulance, racing towards the nearest hospital, Kristie next to me, holding my hand tightly.

call ups and disappointment

Last world cup fic! I actually completed something from my inbox! Good job, me!
Also, how do people come up with good titles cause I am horrible at those and writing endings. Very different.
Let me know what you think!
-grey
(Strawberry Kisses has been stuck in my head)
———
You’re currently in bed, not having gotten up yet, surfing through all of your subscriptions to see what show or movie catches your eye.
Your girlfriend still in your shared bathroom getting ready to do nothing with you. It’s both of your day offs and what better way to spend it than doing nothing with the one that you love.
“Did you find something interesting?” Kristie says, joining you back in bed.
“Lucifer? We haven’t watched the new season.”
“Yeah I’m down.”
You click on the show and cuddle into her, your head resting on her stomach. Halfway through the episode, a phone rings. Kristie picks both phone up.
“It’s Vlatko.” She says, handing you your phone.
“Hey, coach. What’s up? Uh huh. Yeah. Of course. Thank you. See you soon, bye.”
“What was it.”
“Guess who’s going to the world cup baby? This girl!” You point both your thumbs towards yourself.
“OHMYGOD! Baby! I’m so proud of you.” You wrap your arms around her waist, lifting her up and spinning her around. Seconds later, Kristie’s phone rings.
“It’s Vlatko!”
“Answer it!”
“Hey, coach. Yeah. Oh, of course. I can’t wait. Bye.” Kristie hangs up and turns to you. “Guess who’s joining you at the world cup? This girl!” She says, copying your earlier actions.
“I’m so proud of you!” You grab the sides of her face and pull her into a very passionate kiss.
“I’m proud of us. We get to go to the world cup together!”
“Yeah baby!”
———
The world cup was tough. It’s not going as we planned. We’ve got four stars over our crest, wanting to make it five, but everything that go wrong is going wrong.
The plays aren’t working, people aren’t connecting, the head coach is making stupid decisions on who should play. This isn’t going as we want it to go and we disappointed our country once we’ve been eliminated.
You were on your knees, bent over ti the grass, devastated by the elimination. You don’t realize someone sat down next to you until a hand fins itself on your back.
“Hey.”
“Hi.”
“You did the best your could.” Kristie pulls you into her for a tight embrace.
“Yeah.”
“We got another in four years. Lots of room for improvement.”
“Yeah. Thank you.” You pull her onto your lap, her legs going around your waist. “I love you.”
“Not possible cause if I remember correctly m, I love you more.”

Invited to the wedding
[Y/N giving each of the avengers an envelope]
Y/N: That’s for you, and that’s for you, and that-
Sam: What are these?
Y/N: These, my fellow boy, are my STDs.
Wanda: What are you talking about, Y/N?
Y/N: STDs, save the date for Natasha and my wedding.
Natasha: Y/N, I thought we agreed on not sending these invitations.
Y/N: Well, I think it’s cute so I sent it anyway.
[The team starts laughing]
Y/N: What? *puzzled* Oh, I see. ‘STD’ has another meaning. You guys are gross and nobody is going to think that.
Wanda: Everyone is going to think that, but it’s sweet that you don’t.
Y/N: Thank you, it is kinda sweet.
Tony: Just out of curiosity, how many STDs did you send?
Y/N: At least a hundred, we want a big wedding. Right, darling?
Yelena: *whispering to Natasha* Are you sure you want to marry them?
[Natasha is pretty embarrassed but smiles as she sees you so excited with the wedding]
Natasha: *whispers back* I wouldn’t change a thing.

Her PR Guy-Chapter 1
Disclaimer
I wrote this story with a trans male insert because I, myself, am a trans dude, and there hasn’t been a whole lot of content in this fandom for trans men. Without further ado, this is my debut story.
Y/N’s POV
I met Kristie while working in Gotham’s Public Relations Department. I was a recent college graduate with a passion for sports and storytelling, yet I had little to no idea what type of world I was stepping into. My job was to run the social media accounts and help craft stories that would captivate fans and media members alike. What I didn’t realize at the time, is that my story would be worth telling someday, too.
***
It was my first media day working for Gotham, and I was totally freaking out. I mean, this was my dream, one that I had fought tooth and nail for. I had never dared to imagine this possibility, but here I was, and I felt woefully unprepared.
Get it together (Y/N)! You worked so hard to get here, and we got this. Yael believes in you, and you can conquer anything you set your mind to. You wanted so badly to have a fresh start, so take advantage of it!
I went over to the players and introduced myself, "Hey everyone, my name's (Y/N), my pronouns are he/him, and I'm your new PR guy." A lot of the players seemed stunned, probably because I'm a guy working for an NWSL team, so I decided to clear some things up. “I’m also a proud trans man who knows that the future is female, especially in sports. I’ll be mainly working with the photographers and videographers to get content for our socials, but I’m here if you need anything.”
Kristie’s POV
“Did anyone else find him super attractive, or is it just me?” Kristie said.
“He’s definitely a cutie,” Ali said and Lynn nodded in agreement.
“He could be just what the doctor ordered, with your recent breakup and everything,” added Midge.
“He’s easy on the eyes, that’s for sure,” Kristie responded while looking at you as you walked away from the team, ”Let’s just hope he isn’t a fuckboy.”
***
Y/N’s POV
It’s been over a month since I introduced myself to the players, and I can’t get Kristie Mewis out of my head. She’s been flirting with me since we met, but I can barely function in her presence, not to mention I literally work for the team. Before I can get too in my head about it, I get a call from my buddy Alex.
“Hey (Y/N)! How’s the new job going?”
“It’s going well,” I replied, “I think I have a crush on one of the players, though…”
“I fail to see the problem, bro,” said Alex.
“You are a hot, eligible bachelor, and any girl would be lucky to have you. You even told me that two of the players are married, so workplace dating is obviously not a problem.”
“Yeah, but I’m not trying to deal with another Karen incident!” I exclaimed.
Karen was a close friend of mine in college who really fucked me over. I managed her campaign for Student Body President, and when she found out I had a crush on her, she flipped out and cut me off, but only after I helped her win the election. She ignored me for weeks following her win, and when we finally spoke about what had happened, she told me she thought it was best that we ‘keep it professional.’ To add insult to injury, all of our mutual friends decided I wasn’t worth sticking around for. I tried to take the “high road” and didn’t tell anyone my side of things until it was too late and they had already taken her side.
“How long are you going to let Karen control your life? You can’t keep giving other people your power, bro.”
I knew that he wasn’t wrong, but I wasn’t ready to let go of the past.
“Yeah, but this girl is so out of my league it’s unbelievable. Not to mention, I’m pretty sure she has a girlfriend!”
 “You sure about that (Y/N)?”
“Not entirely, but why would she date a loser like me when she has her pick of almost every queer athlete?”
Much to my chagrin, I was not athletic by any means, which was definitely an insecurity of mine. Deep down, I still felt like the sad, closeted, insecure kid with no friends that I was in High School, despite all of my work in therapy.
“You may not be athletic, but you’re super kind and loyal as fuck. Trust me when I say that what you think you may lack in physical attractiveness pales in comparison to the type of person you are. You’re full of green flags— except for your inability to take a good selfie, which most people find endearing. Face it (Y/N), the only thing that’s standing in your way is you. You control your own destiny, and you my friend are a catch; remember that.” Said Alex
“Thanks for hyping me up, my guy. I’m going to talk to my therapist about this.” I said.
“As you should, (Y/N)! I’m here for you if you need anything, and I’m only one call away. You got this homie.”
I ended the call and reflected upon Alex’s advice.
Everything you want is in reach and ripe for the taking! You got this (Y/N), I thought to myself.

I don’t like you- Kristie Mewis
Kristie and Jane were sitting in the stands of your rugby game.
"I don't know what else to do? The kid absolutely hates me" Kristie said
"The kid doesn't hate you" Jane said with a laugh
"Yes she does! She won't talk to me and avoids me!" Kristie exclaimed
"Maybe it's just a dislike for you. I mean you are dating her mom. It could just be her way of protecting her mom" Jane said patting Kristie knee
"This is going to be a long weekend" Kristie said wondering if she made the right choice in offering to watch you this weekend while your mom was away on a work trip
"She's eleven, just buy some pizza and put on a movie. Or just let her hang out in her room" Jane said causing Kristie sign
"I want her to like me" Kristie said
"She will" Jane said confidently causing Kristie to shake her hand as the both turned back to the field
Kristie had been dating your mom, Natalie for 8 months. Natalie didn't introduce you to Kristie until until they had dated for 6 months. From the beginning you had barely spoken to or even acknowledged Kristie. Natalie said it would take time but Kristie was worried that if it goes on for to much longer that it could end there relationship.
They both watched as you get passed the ball
Kristie jumped to her feet as soon as she saw you get tackled by two opposing players. She may not understand rugby that much but she knew that it was an illegal hit
"Shit shit shit" Kristie mumbled she as ran on to the field with Jane right behind her once they saw you not getting up and the coaches rushing to you.
Kristie could see your eyes were brimmed with tears that you were holding back once the coaches gently rolled you over
"What hurts?" The coach asked
"Head, chest, arm" you gritted out
"I'm going to lift you shirt okay" the coach said causing you to nod
Everyone's eyes widen at the bruising already appearing on your ribs
"I'm going to get the car" Jane said before taking off while Kristie nodded and focused on helping the coaches get you off the field
——-
Kristie had just gotten your into your house after your guys trip to the hospital. You had a broken arm and 3 fractured ribs, with the rest being bruised, and you some how managed to not get a concussion.
"Thanks for helping" Kristie said to Jane
"No need, just let me know if you guys need anything" Jane said patting Kristie on the back "take care of her" She continued before heading out the door
Kristie then turn to go find you already slowly making your way up the stairs
"What are you doing?" Kristie asked worriedly
"Going up stairs" you gasped out, as you tried to hide the pain you where in
"Just let me help you" Kristie said looking at you as you glared back
"I don't need your help"
"I would say otherwise" Kristie frustratedly countered as you turned away and painfully made your way up the rest of the stairs
"I don't like you, you know that right?" You said as you walked up causing Kristie bite her lip to keep from responding, your just a kid she kept repeating. Following your slow movements in case you needed help.
"What are you doing now?" Kristie asked once you both finally made it up the stairs
"I'm taking a shower" you said like it was obvious, you did smell from playing most of the game
"Okay, do you want help?" Kristie asked before you just glared and walked into the bathroom
Kristie waited outside but after a few minutes she still didn't hear the water running, "you okay" she nervously asked she knocked on the door
When she didn't get a response, Kristie slowly opened the door to see you sitting in the towel seat in pain as you tired to remove your shirt
"Please let me help you" Kristie pretty much begged at the point, struggling to watch you put your self through more pain then nesscarry
You looked at her, tears falling. Kristie hated seeing you this vulnerable and in pain
You finally nodded, willing to accept the help.
Kristie helped you slowly finish taking off your sports bra before you stepped into the shower.
Kristie left to get you clothes before quickly rushing back to the bathroom, worrying that you would need help.
Kristie walked into the bathroom, laying your clothes on the sink. "Just yell if you need anything, I'll be right outside the door" Kristie said before walking out and standing outside the door. Not really sure on what to do
When she hurt the shower turn off, Kristie heard her name through the door
"Can you help me" you asked looking defeated as you only had on your short
Kristie slowly moved her way toward you and helped you get the big t-shirt over you injured arm without causing to much pain to your ribs
Once your were dressed you slowly walked to your moms room, gently laying down on her bed. Pain, discomfort, and exhaustion taking over, you didn't even try to get under the covers
Kristie slowly made her way over to you. Gently adjusting a pillow under you arm before laying a blanket over you.
"I lied" you said catching Kristie attention as she went to leave the room
"I do like you. You treat my mom really good and make her happy" you said "this is the happiest I've seen her in a long time"
This caused Kristie to move to sit on the bed beside you, tryin to think of something to say but you continued talking
"One of my moms last girlfriends was around all the time. She was helping me with my homework and coming to my games. I guess I  got used to her being around and then she wasn't around anymore and it hurt" you said
"I don't want to go through that again" you continued as you finally looked up a Kristie who was looking at you sadly, thinking carefully what to say next
"I don't want you to either. I can't even imagine what it would be like to not have your mom in my life anymore" Kristie said before taking a pause to make sure you heard the next part
"I'm hoping that we can also have a relationship that I couldn't imagine losing you also. I love you mom, a lot. I'm not planning on every losing her, which means I don't plan on every losing you either. I'm here for the long ride. And if on some off chance your mom and I's relationship end, which I won't let happen, I'll still be there for you if you want me too" Kristie said sincerely
"Promise?" You asked looking at her unsure
"Pinky promise" Kristie said holding up her pinky causing you to smile as you locked pinkies with her
"Now go to bed" Kristie said going to leave to sleep on the couch
"Will you stay?" You asked causing Kristie to freeze in shock
"It will get you brownie points with my mom" you continued, hoping she would stay
"Like I need brownie points with you mom" Kristie said, moving to lay on the other side of the bed causing you to smile
"I'm picking the movie though" Kristie grabbing the remote causing you to fake glare at her
"Deal if we can get dunkin in the morning" You said looking over at Kristie who laughed before sayin "you got your self a deal kid"
That's would be how your mom found you to in the morning, you resting your head on Kristie shoulder while you guys slept. Only making your mom fall more in love with Kristie

Torn
Kewis x Child!Reader
Summary: No one tells you anything
Tumblr media
Something bad happens to Mom when she's away with Chelsea.
She comes back with crutches and a bandage around her leg. It's pretty bad, you gather, but no one tells you what exactly is wrong with her.
"Careful, chook," Mom says as you round the corner chasing after Helen," Don't run so fast. I'm delicate."
You give her an unimpressed look at interrupting you but don't say anything because she's hurt. You have to do that a lot now. Mom is very busy trying to recover, Mommy tells you often, and that you shouldn't interrupt her while she's doing that.
Mommy is trying to clean up around the two of you while muttering to Auntie Sam on the phone. You think that's a little funny sometimes, that you have an Auntie Sam and the Mom's adult name is Sam too.
It's kind of funny but you don't dwell on it for long because Helen pops her head up over the coffee table that Mom's using to stretch her boo-boo leg. Helen gives you a look that says 'keep-playing-with-me' so you hurry to follow her, grabbing the jingly bells on a stick to wave at her.
It's her favourite toy and you shake it for her to paw at.
"Hey," Mommy moves past and takes it off you," Mom's trying to relax. How about we play quietly?"
You huff but don't argue. Helen mews rudely at Mommy as you go to sit in your play corner.
Mommy's packed away all your loud, interesting toys so you're forced to play with the boring princess toys Grandpa got you for Christmas. You make one of your dinosaurs eat her.
Usually, when you play with dinosaurs, Mom comes over to play with you but she and Mommy are cuddling on the sofa and talking in hushed voices.
You know that means they're having an adult conversation about Mom's injury that they don't want you to hear about.
You know the very bare minimum about Mom's knee. You knew she hurt it when she went on holiday with Chelsea and recently came back home from the hospital surgery she had.
She walks around on crutches now and isn't allowed to pick you up or run around with you anymore.
It's very annoying and it makes her sad sometimes. You try to cheer her up but Mommy always directs you to play by yourself because she's scared that you'll hurt Mom.
"What are you doing there, chook?" Mom asks when she watches you take the clothes off of one of your princesses.
"Dinos can't eat clothes, Mom," You reply," Got to be naked to eat."
You brutally smack your Spinosaurus against the princess and make crude eating sounds with your mouth.
Mommy wrinkles her nose in disgust like every time you do something like this. You think Mommy's a bit like a princess sometimes because she likes dressing up all pretty and is less willing to play rough with you like Mom does.
"What happened to playing nice?" Mommy asks," We have to treat everyone with respect."
You roll your eyes. "Toys aren't real people, Mommy. They're just pretend."
Mom laughs. "She's got you there, Kristie."
Kristie is Mommy's grown up name and you think that's kind of cool. Her name is even like a princess name and sometimes Auntie Sam jokes that she's the princess of eyebrows.
Mommy is very proud of her eyebrows but she's not been taking care of them like she usually does because she's very focused on helping Mom with her knee.
At the thought of Mom's injury, you huff and bumshuffle your way with your Spinosaurus and Allosaurus over to Helen sitting in her cat tree.
Sam watches you go. You've been different since she came home injured. Not different enough that she's overly concerned but enough that she's begun to notice it.
"She's doing it again," She whispers to Kristie as they both watch your little shoulders slouch into yourself when you turn around, as if to check that they're both still there.
Your eyes stay focused on where Sam's leg is propped up on the table.
"I think the injury is throwing her off a little," Kristie replies with a sigh," I imagine this is a lot."
"Are we paying enough attention to her? I mean..."
They watch you as you wander back to your play corner and try to drag your big tub of dinosaurs over to Helen's cat tree. You're practically obsessed with dinosaurs ever since you caught a rerun of Dinosaur King on the tv.
It had launched an obsession that Sam likened to her own for football and your absolute favourite thing was handing her and Kristie dinosaurs so they could play with you.
"Heya, Chook," Sam calls out," Do you need some help there?"
"Can't help," You grunt as you helplessly tug at the box," You're hurt."
"Well, I can help," Kristie says, already moving to get up.
You freeze her with a look of contempt. "Can't help either. You have to look after Mom." You move around the box to push it rather than pull and it suddenly gets a lot easier.
It's a stupid thing to be proud of, Sam thinks, but she's proud nonetheless. You're a good little problem solver and you're clearly picking up on hers and Kristie's behaviours without it being fully explained to you.
You sit in front of Helen and put out a dinosaur in front of her. Sam's not sure what kind it is but that's fine because you clearly do, as you choose your own dinosaur from the box and make it fight Helen's.
Kristie moves to sit crosslegged next to you. You spare her a glance but go back to playing.
She reaches into your box.
"Can't touch unless you're playing," You say firmly," And you can't play.
"Why can't I play?"
"Because you have to look after Mom."
"And that means I can't play?"
"No." You make Helen's dinosaur lay on its side and die because that's what happens with dinosaurs. "Because Mom's more important than playing and I'm littler so I can be forgotten."
Your words don't really make sense and yet somehow makes perfect sense to Kristie. She sighs.
"Are you feeling sad? Because I haven't been playing with you since Mom hurt her leg?"
"I'm not sad," You say as you pick out another dinosaur for Helen," I'm littler than Mom and she's bigger and has a boo-boo so she needs to be looked after."
"Mommy can still play with you," Mom says from her spot on the sofa. She hasn't said much since Mommy came over but she has been watching. "If you bring the box over here then I can play too."
You glance over your shoulder with a look that makes it clear you think she's lying. "You can't play, Mom," You say," Because you've hurt your knee and you're delicate. You said so."
"I did, didn't I?" Mom laughs a bit awkwardly. "As long as you don't run around or anything, we can still play. Here." She awkwardly moves to sit on the floor, throwing a sofa cushion down to rest her leg on as she sits by the coffee table.
You're still a little sceptical and you glance at Mommy to check. She's in charge of what you do with Mom because you're littler than her and she's got working knees.
She gives you nod. "If we all stay sitting, we can play at the table."
Kristie tries not to feel the guilt in her chest when you light up like a Christmas tree and shove your box across the floor. You never used to look so happy when she and Sam offered to play with you.
"You can be the Microceratus, Mommy, because it's pretty like you." You hand her the toy. "And you can be my Ornithomimus because it's fast." You hand Sam the toy.
Sam smiles. "Thanks, chook. What are you going to be?"
"I'm going to be Spinosaurus," You say," Because they're my favourite."
You dip into your box to grab your little trees and bushes to dot around the table to make a scene. You go to grab your Spinosaurus before stopping. You glance between Sam and Kristie.
"Can...Can we play later too? Please? If Mom's knee is less hurt?"
Sam smiles at you. "Of course we can play later, chook."

Your Biggest Mistake (Became My Future) (Kristie Mewis x Reader)
Tumblr media
When your childhood best friend Kristie Mewis showed up at your door in the middle of the night crying because Sam Kerr had cheated on her, you took her in without a second thought. What you didn't realize was that the feelings you'd been holding back for so long were about to surface, and what that meant for your and Kristie's relationship, you didn't know.
Disclaimer: SO, this fic contains smut, and also a g!p reader, so if that isn't your thing, feel free to skip this one. As always, let me know what you think, I'd love to hear from you guys, enjoy!
Knuckles wrapping loudly against your apartment door is what jars you from your sleep, your brows furrowed, and eyes narrowed as you leave the couch, you’d fallen asleep on and make your way to the door.
You glance at the kitchen stove’s clock out of the corner of your eye, your brow furrowing when you realize it’s well passed 3AM.
Who could be knocking on your door at this hour?
Your peer through the peep hole, your eyes widening when you realize the person standing on the other side of the door is none other than Kristie Mewis.
You jerk the door open, coming face to face with a red-rimmed eyed Kristie Mewis, her bottom lip trembling, a suitcase in one hand, a duffle bag hanging from her shoulder.
She drops the bag and suitcase on the floor with a thud before leaping into your arms, the blonde burying her face in your neck as she sobs in your hold.
“She cheated on me.”
Your nostrils flare as you grab her suitcase and duffel bag, the woman still clinging to you as you guide her into your apartment and onto the couch.
You’d been best friends with Kristie since childhood, the two of you attending the same college before you went your separate ways, the blonde joining the NWSL, and you joining the WSL, heading overseas.
You were elated when Kristie had ended her contract with Gotham and was coming overseas to be on your team, West Ham United.
You were less than thrilled that the reason she was coming overseas was for her fiancé, Sam Kerr.
You’d never liked the woman, not only because she stood between you and any potential chance of getting with Kristie, but because she was too cocky for her own good, which to you, was off-putting.
She’d done everything she could to keep the two of you apart, to weasel her way between the two of you and your friendship.
You knew she had to have guessed by now that you had feelings for Kristie, which was why she was attempting to separate the two of you yet again, but that strategy hadn’t worked and once again, you and Kristie became inseparable.
You knew it had caused a significant number of fights between the pair, but you were confident in the fact that Kristie would never cut you off, simply because Sam wanted her too, she was your best friend afterall.
“Shhh, it’s okay, just tell me what happened.” You coo as you run your hands gently down her back, your heart aching in your chest at the sight of the woman’s tears.
She sniffles, burying her face in your neck, her nose brushing your jawline.
“She slept with someone else, she wouldn’t tell me who.”
You snarl, your hold on her tightening, the thought of wringing Sam Kerr’s neck coming to mind.
“She thought I cheated on her, so she did it to ‘get back at me’.” She cries, her hold on you tightening.
You scoff.
“That’s just her excuse.” You growl, the woman pulling back to look into your Y/E/C orbs, orbs that hold a fire in them that she’d only seen once before during college when you punched a man outside a bar for harassing and touching her without her consent.
“Can I...” She swallows hard, her mouth opening and closing before you smile softly, tucking a strand of hair that had fallen in her face behind her ear.
“Ask.” You say, brushing a tear off of her cheek, the woman’s breath hitching as she leans briefly into your touch.
“Can I stay here?” She whispers and you smile, ducking down to kiss her forehead, like you’d done since you were kids.
“You didn’t even have to ask.”
************************************************************************
It was a week later when Kristie took to social media to announce her and Sam’s dissolved engagement and the subsequent end of their relationship, something that upset those in the WOSO community.
Kristie however was more upset than all of them combined, the woman a shell of herself as she shuffled around your apartment.
The day after the announcement, you decided to do something about it, making your way to the guest bedroom and approaching the blonde who’d just been laying in bed, buried beneath a heap of blankets.
“Come on.” You say, prodding the pile of blankets, the woman growling beneath.
“No.”
You sigh, pulling the blankets off of the woman, who whines.
“I can’t see you like this anymore, come on, we’re going out.” You say, earning a frown from the woman curled up in bed.
“I don’t want to Y/N.” She whispers and you sigh, sitting down beside her on the bed.
You reach your hand towards her, placing it face up on the bed beneath you, her blue orbs darting from your hand to your eyes and back.
Barely a second passes before she’s taking your hand, smiling when you give it a squeeze.
She silently plays with your fingers, your heart skipping a beat, something you try to ignore, knowing that the last thing she needed was your pining.
“Do you trust me?” You whisper, your eyes locking with Kristie’s shimmering blues.
“More than anything.” She smiles softly.
You squeeze her hand again, before reluctantly releasing it, missing the woman’s pout as you move to your feet.
“Come on, get dressed.” You say, Kristie huffing, but rolling out of bed before moving towards her suitcase.
A smile stretches across your face as you make you way towards your own bedroom, intent on getting dressed and taking Kristie someplace nearby that would, hopefully, cheer her up.
************************************************************************
You couldn’t help but smile as Kristie licked her ice cream intently, your smile splitting into a grin when she did a little happy wiggle on the bench beside you.
You chuckle, turning your attention to your own ice cream, watching as people walk past.
If you knew one way to cheer up the woman beside you, it was with ice cream, her go to for when she was feeling down in high school, in college, and into adulthood.
“What?” Kristie asks, pulling you from your daze.
You snort, zeroing in on the bit of ice cream hanging from her nose.
The blonde’s breath hitches as you wipe it away with your thumb.
“Some things never change.” You snicker, earning an eye roll.
“At least you didn’t leave it on my face like you did in high school.”
You stick your tongue out at the blonde, who barks out a laugh before turning back to her ice cream.
You’re unable to take your eyes off of her, watching as she enthusiastically licks the sweet treat, the rod between your legs beginning to stir.
“Goddamn it.” You mumble, the blonde turning your way mid-lick.
“Are you okay?” She asks and you nod.
“More than okay.”
She turns away, your eyes zeroing in on the bulge in your pants, something you immediately shift to hide from view.
Thankfully for you, Kristie was made aware of the extra appendage between your legs when you were kids, meaning she’d pretty much accepted you right away.
Deep down, you knew even if she found out about it later in life, she still would’ve accepted you, her heart was too big for her NOT to accept that part of you.
You chuckle to yourself, turning back to your own ice cream, unaware that the woman beside you is watching you closely, a small smile playing at the corners of her mouth.
************************************************************************
It didn’t take much prompting for you to get Kristie to go out after that, the two of you frequenting the ice cream shop weekly, so much so that the workers behind the counter knew your names.
You grimace, digging the doorknob of your apartment’s door into your back as you backed into the apartment, carrying a number of takeout boxes, food you knew Kristie would enjoy.
“There you are!” Kristie says from her place on the couch, the woman deep into a The Bachelor marathon.
You chuckle, kicking the door shut behind you.
Kristie rises from the couch, stretching her arms high above her head as she makes her way towards you, taking one of the bags full of takeout boxes out of your hand.
“You know, we shouldn’t be eating this.” She jests, though she can’t help but grin when she pops the takeout box open, grinning down at its contents.
“I won’t tell if you don’t.” You wink, making your way towards the couch, takeout box in hand.
“Come on, let’s watch this shitty TV show you love so much.” You tease, the woman growling.
“It’s not shitty!” She says, giving you a nudge as she takes a seat beside you.
“Whatever you say.” You snort, earning a groan.
“Don’t act like you haven’t been catching up on episodes when I was asleep.” She gives you a pointed look and you bark out of laugh.
“Yeah, I don’t recall that.” You scoff, Kristie staring intently at your profile, her brow arched and a smirk stretched across her face.
You growl.
“Shut up Mewis and watch the TV show.”
She giggles.
“Only if you admit you like it.” She says, poking your side and you squeak.
You shoot her a glare, earning only a playful smile in return.
You get lost in her blue orbs momentarily before your gaze falls to her lips, your eyes widening as you turn abruptly away.
“I guess it isn't THAT terrible.” You mumble as you take a forkful of food and shovel it into your mouth.
 Kristie smirks.
“I knew you liked it.”
You hum.
“I never said that.”
“Shut up Y/L/N and watch the TV show.” She says, starting the show again and you sigh, eyeing her profile before turning away, unaware that she was now gazing your way, her lips splitting into a grin.
***********************************************************************
It’s a short time later that takeout boxes go empty, and you soon find yourself knee deep into whatever season of The Bachelor you were currently on.
To be honest, you weren’t at all sure.
“Seriously, why’d he pick her? I mean come on--
You fall silent, your eyes widening when a weight settles on your lap, your eyes leaving the TV in favor of glancing downwards, realizing Kristie’s head was in your lap.
You smile softly, brushing a strand of hair out of her face before tucking it behind her ear.
Luckily, you saw the glow returning to the woman’s blue orbs, the blonde well on her way to being the same, bubbly and silly woman you knew her to be.
You sigh, tangling your fingers in her soft blonde locks, the woman humming in her sleep as your nails graze her scalp.
Your heart lightens in your chest as you trace her sharp jawline, her brows furrowing in her sleep before she grabs your hand.
Your eyes widen when she traps it against her cheek, her eyes fluttering open.
“Y/N?” She whispers and you smile, caressing her cheek with your thumb.
“It’s me. Go back to sleep.” You mumble and she hums, her eyes fluttering back shut before sleep takes her once more, your hand still in hers.
************************************************************************
Even though months had passed, you could see the sadness on Kristie’s face when she found out that Sam Kerr was in a new relationship, her eyes dulling as she read the news.
She’d again withdrew into herself, you knew she'd loved the Aussie very much, and seeing her with someone else had to be painful.
Still, you did everything you could to cheer her up, taking her out for ice cream and binge watching The Bachelor.
You push your way into the apartment, sighing when you realize she’s fast asleep on the couch, her phone laying on the floor.
You smile sadly as you make your way towards her, tear tracks visible on her flushed cheeks that make your own heart break.
You pick her phone up off the floor and place it on the table before crouching down beside her.
“Kris?” You whisper, brushing a strand of hair out of her face, the woman continuing to snore away.
You smile softly, taking her gently into your arms before carrying her down the hallway towards the guest room she’d been residing in.
You place her softly on the bed before pulling the covers up over her, your eyes tracing the woman’s face.
You had no idea what it felt like to be cheated on by your fiancé, but what you did know is that you’d be there for her every step of the way.
You duck down, pressing a kiss to her forehead, the woman mumbling in her sleep.
“I love you, Kris.” You whisper, leaving the room quietly, the door shutting softly behind you.
************************************************************************
It isn’t until hours later that Kristie wakes, her brows furrowing, when she realizes she’s in bed.
She glances around the room, her head on a swivel as she tries to find her phone, which she unfortunately can’t find.
She slips silently out of bed before making her way down the hallway towards the living room.
The apartment was pitch black, meaning that it was well past midnight, and considering she could hear you snoring softly, she knew you were fast asleep.
She stumbles through the darkness, eventually finding her phone which was resting on the coffee table, its screen lighting up when she picks it up.
She frowns, notification after notification littering her screen, most tagging her in Sam Kerr’s post.
Kristie shakes her head, realizing that it was well past 2AM, which meant she’d slept the day away.
She creeps silently back to her room, stopping midway down the hall in front of your door, the door cracked open slightly.
She slides a hand into the crack, pushing the door open a bit on zeroing in on your sleeping form, her heart lightening in her chest.
She’s unsure of what it is that leads her to make her way into your room, the woman clearing her throat.
“Y/N?” She whispers, her voice soft and raspy, despite that however, your eyes flash open.
“Kris?” You croak, digging your fists into your eyes in an attempt to clear your vision.
“Are you alright?” You ask, swinging your legs out of bed, your movements stopped when Kristie place a hand on your shoulder.
“I’m okay... I was just wondering if...” She pauses, shuffling from foot to foot, the sight endearing.
“If...?” You start, staring at the woman expectantly.
The blonde’s throat bobs.
“Can I sleep in here?” She asks, your eyes widening.
“Umm, sure, of course you can, I-I mean...” You stutter, shivering when the blankets are pulled back, the warmth beneath the blanket escaping for a mere moment before Kristie slides beneath the covers beside you.
Your cheeks flush as she shuffles around, the two of you now face to face, her head resting on the pillow beside your own.
“You’re sure this is, okay?” She whispers and you nod, unable to stop your eyelids from fluttering.
“Of course it is.” You whisper, your words slurring.
Kristie simply watches as you fall asleep, unable to stop herself from shuffling closer to you and burying her face in your neck.
She’d been upset after finding out that Sam had moved on, but now, as your arms wrapped around her, that sadness ebbed away.
You’d done everything you could to keep her spirits up, binge watching her favorite TV show even though you didn’t really like it, buying her takeout from her favorite restaurant every chance you got, and taking her out for ice cream nearly every week.
You’d been a constant in her life since childhood, doing all you could to keep in touch, even when you lived overseas.
And here you were, holding her tightly against your chest, your nose buried in her hair as you slept soundly.
Seeing Sam with someone else had been heartbreaking, but the more she thought about Sam, the less sadness she felt.
That sadness was replaced, replaced by the way she was feeling about you, how she’d ALWAYS felt about you.
Even during her time with Sam, she still couldn’t shake the feelings she had for you, she couldn’t let you go, no matter how many times Sam asked.
She knew deep down it was because she loved you, in an entirely different way than she loved Sam.
“Maybe this was a blessing in disguise.” She whispers, caressing your cheek gently, a growl rumbling in your throat as you snuggle closer.
She smiles, leaning forwards, her forehead resting against your own as she too falls fast asleep.
************************************************************************
The following morning, she wakes with a hum, snuggling back into your warmth, her eyes flashing wide open when something hard brushes against her backside.
She swallows hard, a lump forming in her throat when she realizes what it is that’s brushing against her.
She’d known that you were intersex since you were children, and of course, it hadn’t bothered her.
In fact, she’d grown rather curious about it in your teenage years, asking to see it once, which you had done, nervously.
She’s seen it a number of other times, considering you slept at her house more often than not, and boxers were your go to sleepwear.
She, however, never felt an iota of discomfort.
It was a part of you, and she loved you.
She knew you were embarrassed by it, and in high school, when the first girl you slept with let it slip that you were packing, you became the talk of the school, something that Kristie did everything in her power to shield you from.
The night you’d told her you lost your virginity, she’d felt a tinge of jealousy, jealous at the fact that someone else had taken what she wanted.
She’s brought back to reality when you groan softly, snuggling closer, brushing the bulge in your boxers against her.
She slams her eyes shut, resisting the urge to grind back against it, uncertain if that was what you wanted or not.
The woman stiffens when you begin to stir, a lengthy yawn leaving you as you become aware of the situation.
“Fuck.” You mumble, your eyes widening when you realize Kristie is awake.
“I-I-I'm so sorry Kris. I--
You’re cut off when the woman shakes her head.
“Don’t be sorry, it’s natural.” She shrugs and you nod, still deeply embarrassed, the tips of your ears blood red.
“Uh... I’ll be back in a—Yeah.” You stutter before sprinting out of the room, the woman shaking her head as she rests back into your pillows, your scent clouding her senses before she falls fast asleep.
***********************************************************************
Sleeping in your bed had become a regular occurrence, and nearly every morning she had to resist the urge to grind back into the hard appendage digging into her from behind.
The more time that passed, the more she realized how deep her feeling for you went.
She craved the sound of your laugh, and to see your smile. She loved when you complained about watching The Bachelor all the time, but never even attempted to stop watching alongside her.
She loved the way you’d smile at her when you thought she wasn’t looking, and the way you’d carry her to bed if she’d fallen asleep on the couch.
She loved the way you’d gently hold her and bury your nose in the space behind her ear when you were fast asleep, a position you were currently in.
You let out a growl at the sound of your dinging phone, the rapid notifications pulling you from your slumber.
“What the fuck.” You mumble as you blindly reach for your phone, refusing to turn around and leave your place pressed against Kristie’s back, a way you’d woken up often as of late.
You stare bleary eyed at the screen, your brows knitting in confusion before your eyes widen and you shoot upright, startling the woman in front of you.
“What?” She asks in concern, her own eyes widening when you turn the phone towards her, multiple pictures of the two of you together littering the screen, all beneath the caption of.
A New Relationship blossoming in the WSL?!?!
Her throat bobs as she scans the article, the writer suspecting that there was a relationship blossoming between the two of you, that there was more to your relationship than just friends. They also mentioned their surprise at the idea that the two of you may be together, since you had an organ, most lesbian weren’t interested in.
You sigh, pinching the bridge of your nose as she takes your phone.
“I’m sorry Kris, you’re already going through a lot, and this just made it worse.” You mumble, running your fingers through your hair.
Her blue orbs scan the article again and again before she eventually places the phone on the nightstand beside you, the look on her face telling you she’s contemplating something.
You swallow hard, unable to take the silence before you move to your feet and leave the room, heading towards the living room and sitting down on the couch.
“Y/N?!” Kristie calls out as she follows close behind you, your head down, your hands covering your face.
"Hey...” She whispers as she drops to her knees in front of you, prying your hands away from your face before she cups your cheeks.
“What's wrong?” She asks and you shake your head, your eyes fluttering shut.
“I’m sorry I made it worse.” You mumble, unable to look her in the eye, that is until she tilts your chin upwards, your Y/E/C orbs meeting her bright blues.
“You didn’t make anything worse.” She whispers, cupping your cheek.
“They mentioned my...” You glance downward at your lap, realizing you were still sporting a hard on, making you blush.
Kristie sighs, the woman’s blue orbs darting from your face to the front of your boxers and back.
Your breath hitches when she moves to her feet, a sharp gasp leaving you when she climbs into your lap, her hands resting on the couch behind you.
“K-Kris...?” You stammer, willing yourself not to rock your hips into her.
She cups your cheeks, caressing your smooth, tanned skin gently before leaning forwards.
You go stiff as the woman’s lips meet yours, but you kiss back with no sense of hesitation, the woman’s breath hitching when you start kissing back.
You get lost in the kiss, your tongue flicking against the blonde’s bottom lip before her lips part, allowing you entry, your tongue tentatively brushing against her own.
“Kris.” You sigh between kisses, her arms wrapping around your neck as the kisses between you grow sloppy.
Reluctantly, you part, only to chase her lips for one last gentle kiss before you pull away, your Y/E/C orbs fluttering open at the same time as her blues.
“Wow.” You whisper, your chest heaving as you take in the blonde’s disheveled state, her cheeks flushed and chest rising and falling rapidly.
“I’ve wanted to do that for so long.” She confesses, your eyes widening.
“R-Really?” You stutter, the woman nodding.
“How could I not?” She asks, her hands settling on your shoulders.
“I love you Y/N, I always have.” She whispers, though to you, it sounds like she’s screaming.
You stare at her, mouth agape as you wait for the other shoe to drop, wait for yourself to wake up in your bed, the woman snuggled against your chest, fast asleep.
You however don’t wake up, considering you were already awake, the woman you’d loved since your childhood straddling your lap, and confessing her love to you.
Your throat bobs as you lean back in, your lips meeting hers in a much tamer kiss than the ones you’d just shared.
“I love you too.” You confess, the woman grinning as she throws her arms around your neck, hugging you tightly to her chest.
She giggles as you kiss her neck playfully, your fingers digging into her sides.
“Stoppp, that tickles.” She laughs, wiggling in your lap.
You still, a groan crawling up your throat that causes the two of you to spring apart, Kristie’s blue orbs wide when she realizes she’d been grinding against you.
“I-I-I'm sorry.” You stutter as you try to hoist the woman off your lap, but she doesn’t move, pushing her knees down hard, making it nearly impossible for you to move her.
Your eyes meet hers, a twinkle in her blue orbs you hadn’t seen before.
Her hands again find their way onto the back of the couch, her tongue swiping at her lips before she gives her hips a roll.
“K-Kris...” You stammer, your hands on her hips as she rolls them again, her core dragging against your hardness.
“Jesus.” She sighs, burying her face in your neck as she rocks against into you.
You wrap your arms tightly around her as she grinds harder into you lap.
“Fuck.” You moan into her neck, the couch squeaking beneath you, your hips bouncing.
You feel the telltale sign of your impending orgasm, the base of your hard cock starting to thrum in pleasure.
“Kristie, I’m--
She pulls back, resting her forehead against yours, your lips brushing with each roll of her hips.
“Close?” She asks and you nod rapidly, her tongue swiping at her lips as you moan against her neck, sounds she’d never heard before coming from your open mouth.
Sounds that make her core pulse and her clit throbbing.
You let out a growl, thrusting upwards as you come, the woman moaning as you twitch and quake against her, the front of your boxers now a darker shade thanks to your release.
You pant heavily, the woman’s hips still rocking gently against your own, her lips pursed.
You lean in, your lips meeting hers gently, the kisses, again, growing heated.
“Come here baby.” You whisper, the woman whining softly as you turn her around and pull her back into your lap, her back resting against your chest.
“Is this, okay?” You ask, tracing the hem of her shorts and she sighs.
“Yeah.” She says, her breath hitching when your hand brushes the front of her shorts, which is incredibly soaked, from not only your release, but her arousal.
“You’re so wet for me.” You whisper in her ear, earning a whimper as you trace her through her shorts, your fingers lightly brushing against where you know her clit is.
“Oh...” She gasps, pushing back into you.
“Right there?” You whisper in her ear, kissing the soft skin behind her ear.
“Right there... Please...” She begs, moaning when you start drawing small circles against the damp patch on her shorts.
Her hips rock, the woman grinding back into you, your flaccid cock again growing hard as she moans shamelessly, the woman near tumbling over the edge.
“Are you gonna come?” You whisper in her ear, the woman nodding rapidly, her moans raising an octave before she stiffens in your hold.
She quivers in your hold, her thighs shaking as she comes with a sinful moan that sounds a lot like your name.
She pants heavily, your fingers drawing small, teasing circles against her clit, prolonging her orgasm, only stilling when she grabs your wrist.
“Fuck.” She pants, the woman stilling entirely in your hold before turning around, again straddling your lap as she surges in.
Unlike the kisses before, it’s passionate, fueled not by lust, but by love, your kisses sweet and tender.
You eventually, reluctantly part, the two of you resting your foreheads against one another.
“Well, that was unexpected.” You say with a grin, the woman giggling as you bump the tip of your nose against hers.
“Yeah, it was.” She whispers, pecking your lips over and over again until you laugh.
You wrap your arms tightly around her, hugging her to your chest, the woman burying her face in your neck.
“Do you regret it?” She whispers nervously against your flesh, and you scoff, your hold on her tightening.
“I could never regret being intimate with the woman I love.” You turn your head, kissing her temple.
She pulls back, her shimmering blue orbs locking with your Y/E/C’s.
“Do you?” You ask, full well knowing what her answer was going to be.
She smiles cupping your cheeks, her lips brushing yours as she whispers.
“Definitely not. In fact...” She pauses, burying her face in your neck, the woman sucking on your pulse point.
“I wouldn’t mind doing it again.” She whispers, her lips brushing your earlobe.
She squeaks, as you lift her into the air, carrying her towards the bedroom, the woman giggling as you kiss her neck playful.
In reality, your day ended there, the two of you, instead, falling fast asleep in one another’s arms, right where the two of you belonged.
You couldn’t help but think that Sam Kerr’s biggest mistake became your biggest gain, because now, you had what she didn’t.
You had Kristie Mewis.

First Kiss (Kristie Mewis)
Summary: y/n always wanted to have her first kiss with someone she truly felt would be her forever and one day at camp she finally gets that.
Warnings: just lots of fluff.
Note: Anyone you want me to write about?
Tumblr media
I’m 24 and never had my first kiss.
Yeah, it sucks a bit, but I want my first kiss to be special and with someone I love.
My teammates also tease me a lot, because they all have got their first kiss and I haven’t.
It doesn’t really bother me, but sometimes when I think about it, I actually want to have my first kiss. I really want to be in a relationship with someone, but as you guessed, I’m a single pringle.
“You can just kiss me,” Kelley said in a confused tone after I told her that I wanted my first kiss.
“Kel, you literally have a girlfriend and I also want it to be special” I replied with a laugh.
“Then kiss someone you like. It’s not that hard” Kelley said.
“How do you know when you like someone?” I asked.
“Every time you’re with the person, you feel happy and excited-” Kelley started.
“-I think I like someone” I said, interrupting her.
Kelley’s eye then almost popped out of her head.
“WHO?” she asked.
“Uhm” I said.
“Come one, Y/l. I won’t say it to anyone” Kelley replied with an innocent smile.
I looked at her, already knowing she was lying.
“Okay. I will only tell Alex, but that’s okay, right?” she asked.
“Okay. I think I like Kristie” I answered with a little shy smile.
Kelley then smiled big at me.
“Aww, look at you. You’re all grown up now and in love” Kelley said.
I looked down, blushing a bit.
“Ask her out,” Kelley said.
“I think I will, but I’m a bit nervous about it. What if she says no?” I asked.
“Then I’m still up to be your first kiss” Kelley replied, giving me a wink.
“You’re an idiot,” I said, pushing her shoulder gently.
Okay, so I have planned to ask Kristie out after training today and I’m fucking nervous about it.
“Hey Y/n. Are you okay?” the one and only Kristie Mewis asked, putting her hand on my shoulder after we had runned a bit.
“Yeah, I’m good, just a bit tired, but it’s fine” I answered, trying to stay cool.
“Y/n, are you sure that you’re totally fine?” the idiot called Kelley O’hara asked, coming up beside Kristie and me.
“I’m fine, Kel. I’m actually really good and ready to beat you in a 1v1 game” I answered.
“You’re on, Y/l” Kelley said and walked away.
I just laughed and turned around, totally forgetting that Kristie stood there.
“Did you forget me already?” she asked with a fake pout.
“I could never forget about you, Kristie,” I answered, while she blushed a bit.
I-she blushed! Does that mean she likes me? Ugh, I don’t know..
“Wanna be partners for the next round?” Kristie asked.
“Yes, don’t want to be with that idiot” I answered, pointing to Kelley running after Emily.
“Hey Y/n?” Kristie said, when we were done with training.
“What’s up?” I replied.
“Maybe it’s a bit weird and you’re welcome to say no, but could you be interested in going out on a date tonight?” she asked.
“Really? With me?”  I answered as I was in complenty shock.
“Yep, Y/n. You” Kristie said with a cute smile.
“Well, yeah of course I want to go on a date with you” I responded with a shy smile.
“Great. I will text you the details” she said and kissed my cheek while walking away.
I watched her walk around with a big fat ass smile.
Kelley then came and took her arm around my shoulder.
“Hey, why are you looking like you just got asked out on a date with the hottest person?” Kelley asked.
“It’s because I literally got asked out on a date by the hottest person,” I answered.
“I didn’t ask you out on a date, silly” Kelley said with a smirk.
I rolled my eyes at her.
“Sorry to say, but you’re not the hottest person” I responded as I walked away.
“YES I AM”
“Okay, so Kristie literally asked you out on a date? TONIGHT?” Kelley asked when we were in our hotel room.
“Yes” I answered with a blush.
“Aww, look at you, so in love” Kelley said, touching my cheeks like a grandma.
“Omg stop, Kel” I replied with a laugh.
“Okay I’m gonna stop, but you better get ready for your date” Kelley said.
“Alright mom” I responded.
Kristie texted me, saying that we will be going out to a Mexican restaurant, which is totally okay with me, since Mexican food is my favorite!
This day couldn’t be better!..
“Kel, I’m going now” I said.
“Okay. Have fun, but not too much, right?” Kelley replied with a weird wink.
“You’re an idiot” I said as I walked out of the door with a laugh.
I walked into the lobby of the hotel and found Kristie looking down on her phone.
“Hi Kristie” I said, coming closer to her.
“Hey Y/n. Ready to go?” she asked.
“Yep” I answered with a smile.
“Great, then let’s get going” Kristie said, taking my hand in hers.
Kristie and I had an amazing evening! We just talked a lot about literally everything. She’s just so easy and nice to talk to…
Kristie and I were now walking back to the hotel, holding each other’s hand.
We didn’t say anything. It wasn’t awkward, it was really nice actually.
Then Kristie stopped as she looked into my eyes in front of the hotel.
“Kelley told me you haven’t had your first kiss yet” Kristie said.
“Oh…” was the only thing I said.
“I just want to have it with the right person, you know” I added afterwards.
Kristie nodded, smiling softly at me.
“That’s cute,” she said.
I blushed a bit at her comment.
“Can I ask you a question?” she said.
“Yeah, of course,” I replied.
“Can I be your first kiss?” she asked and I swear that I could see her blushing.
I smiled really big when she asked me that.
“Yeah” I simply answered, also blushing now.
Then Kristie took my head in her hands and leaned in.
She stopped when she was not many inches away from my lips and looked into my eyes.
Then I closed the gap and kissed her.
It literally felt like I was dreaming. It felt so nice, soft and just everything I wanted my first kiss to be!..
After a few seconds of kissing, we stopped, both needing some air.
I laid my forehead against hers, smiling like crazy.
“That. Was. Amazing” I said, giving her a quick kiss.
“I’m just glad that you trusted me to be your first kiss” Kristie replied.
“Well, I hope that you also are going to be my last kiss,” I said with a laugh.
“Oh, I hope so too,” she responded, kissing me again.

Should I post my dreams, occasionally I remember them, write them down and continue writing from there. They range from completely surreal to semi realistic and often feature show/movie characters and soccer players. Let me know if anyone would be interested 💀💀
