Gig report! Compiled this morning in the car to Antwerp with help form @zadig-fate and @yoda-bor 💛 I recorded everything except Katrina (bc my camera app crashed in the middle), so I'll upload this once I'm at a place with stable wifi again :D

all my buses were delayed so I power walked to the train station. Then that train was delayed so I almost missed my Eurostar. Then my Eurostar was also delayed. "That's what I call a Deutsche Bahn special, actually." – Kris ("when your first train is late but then it's okay because the second train is also delayed")

so many people I knew in the queue. From Helsinki. From London last year. From Utrecht. 😊💛

when I grabbed my number, Jan and Nace returned to the venue (and they were so pretty in daylight and in person)

Nace said hi as they walked past 😊

their postures??? Nace has definitely worked on his posture, meanwhile Jan appears so slim and small. It's wild.

Jan and Jure returned to the venue together, looking… Pissed is too harsh a word, but frowning? So we first kinda thought they were actually pissed off. But then Nace showed up a minute later, his usual sunny self, and was immediately accosted by fans. So. I assume it was less "pissed off" and more "do not approach" (and it worked)

soundcheck was Gola and Vem da greš, which we could hear every time they opened the doors (this was my last general access gig. It's EA from here on out, baby!)

Kris and I had decided to go on the balcony and got spots right next to the sound booth, where we were joined by @thisismyobsessionnow 🫶

it was warm but the sound was really good (duh)

also we had nice cushy seats like the old people we are 😂

first opener was a duo of brothers made up of discount Jure and Käärijä if he was French. Discount!Jure had a nice chest (Jure at home)

their music was eh, the lyrics cringe

Kris says they spoke french but I spent most of their set on tumblr/discord so I wasn't listening, but it was a Choice since pretty much none from the EA crowd spoke French

speaking of EA, there were allegedly 60 EA tickets though I saw numbers up to 62 (500 people venue)

JC Stewart was fun

he was told he looked French prime minister. He got confused by president vs prime minister but he also got kinda flustered. He was shown a pic and was "oh yeah, I see it"

we got Katrina opener

the venue was super hot so I tried to appreciate the fit while he had it on in full – white buttoned shirt with a sweater vest over it and a proper tie and glasses, going for the full teacher look except hot???

I still spent a good chunk of the gig looking at Jure though. The elevated balcony spot gave ussuch a nice view of him

Bojan was smiley and sounded way less congested than in Utrecht (maybe he's on the mend?)

Kris on the other hand was sipping tea on stage. In particular very sassily during Demoni

Kris had guitar problems at the beginning of Šta bih ja and went to Kiki to get it fixed but Bojan didn't see and so was actually worried for a moment that Kris had gotten sick off-stage. Kris was adorable in reassuring him that he was fine

the most hilarious to me moment: Bojan did his spiel about "who here experiences panic attacks?" And the crowd cheered, and he was like "yay! Panic attacks! It's me!" And Kris next to me went "I'm the problem, it's me," and literally on the last syllable, Bojan started saying the exact same thing. One brain cell. Or maybe he has the stream on his in-ears

Joker Out as RPG Job Classes: A Necessary Thread

(Before any of you proceed to reading this, I have some words of warning: The job classes were chosen on an individual basis, and NOT based on ships and common RPG character couple stereotypes. Hence, the choices are not meant to reflect ship dynamics or the boys as part of a couple, but rather each of the boys as individuals.)

Note: I did not assign the Bard class to anyone because…where’s the fun in that? Five bards would be boring. 💀

Bojan Cvjetićanin - Dancer

Charismatic, alluring and outgoing.

An ABSOLUTE charmer. Can make people stop and stare with a single look or move.

Doesn't mind showing off some a lot of skin and wearing a lot of accessories.

Has the most amazing moves and he knows it.

A lover and a fighter. Do not make the mistake of believing his shapely legs are only good for pretty movements - he can kick too, and HARD.

Kris Guštin - Wizard/Sorcerer

Intelligent, elegant and deadly.

Takes his studies seriously, prefers not to cheat in school.

Looks amazing in silks, jewels and flowing outfits! Can wear a wizard hat to further increase his height difference with Bojan.

Prefers to slay from afar, rather than get physical (he's the only one who doesn't arm-wrestle in Dublin). Doesn't need to throw hands to prove a point.

At times, seems like the only brain cell among his friend group. So Done with everything.

Nace Jordan - Paladin

Steadfast, honorable and chivalrous.

Strength personified - strong in every aspect (body, heart and mind). Is undoubtedly able to carry a heavy greatsword like it's nothing.

The definition of protection. Everyone feels safe around Nace and it shows.

Capable of both strong attacking, defending and even healing, reflecting how dependable he is. He's you're man no matter the situation, and will defend his friends until the bitter end.

Jan Peteh - Rogue/Assassin

Enigmatic, cunning and intense.

100% a creature of the night and prefers to work on his own. He is like a cat in the dark, and then he is the darkness.

Clever as the devil and twice as pretty, quick-witted and never panics, but also not above using unscrupulous and sneaky methods. Admits to regularly cheating in school.

Nace admits that Jan would be the one to pick the lock in a heist.

Wears dagger and sword themed jewellery.

...or will you die as a punk?

Jure Maček - Dragon Knight

Free-spirited, unrestrained and quick to action.

Has a not-so-secret dream to fly a plane. If he wishes to fly, might as well give him a dragon of his own to fly on and rip through the skies with.

Shares a name with the famous dragon slayer, and has the looks and build of a Targaryen.

Swift, thrilling aerial combat and high jumps suit this bundle of chaos, so he can't cause Kris any headaches on the ground.

....pray he doesn't get motion sick, though.

What a year!

I've had probably one of the best years so far in my life, so many good things happened, I got to travel the country and experience a lot of cool things and make a lot of new, like-minded friends.

On top of all that I spent a lot of time here on this everburning hellsite being as normal as possible or disfigured on the floor, eating the walls and bedrock. And also getting to know lovely babyboos all around the world! I'd like to thank everybody who's interacted with my posts somehow, that's what keeps us content creators going, especially I want to give a thousand forehead kisses to people who reblog and go on about God-knows-what in the tags, they're always a lot of fun to read :) ❤

I just want to take a moment to talk about krusie.

Like god DAMN, I’ve been head over heels over this ship for literally so fucking long now..

Kris and Susie’s dynamic is the best thing ever.

It’s so diverse, the shorty human gremlin and the tall monster rowdy tomboy

Both weirdo outcasts with brown hair covering their eyes who literally share the same brain cell and would do tons of stupid shit together

They’ve both literally looked out for each other and protected each other, it just really shows how much they just genuinely enjoy each other’s company so much and they can easily relate to one another

I’ve liked suselle for a long time too but honestly, krusie has always won me over the most and I’m just so enamored with Kris and Susie’s chemistry a whole lot more

People who say krusie sucks seriously need to take a good look into this ship and realize why it’s actually genuinely good and has potential

If suselle really does become canon, I won’t mind it.

And whether krusie be platonic or romantic, they are just a really fuckin good duo overall.

I have exhausted by daily brain cell count thinking about DELTARUNE Lore. What have I come up with?

Well, let's start with some observations.

Kris, Susie, Ralsei, and even Noelle are all capable of straight up ignoring our commands. They can refuse to perform an action we tell them to and straight up "leave the party" when it suits them. Kris will stop you from dropping the Cards in the Light World, and the narration will scold you for attempting it. Kris will stop you from walking into their mother's line of sight while carrying a ball of trash. Kris will refuse to allow you the choice to watch Susie and Noelle on a Snowgrave route. Kris, in 2 chapters, has removed their Soul from their body and, by extension, "left the party," 3 times. Kris will refuse to allow the player to tell Noelle to "Proceed" through their own voice. Kris isn't going to say it for us, because they refuse to participate. Kris is also capable of speaking and even moving without our say-so. Susie doesn't even join the party until the last section of Chapter 1, and even then she will refuse to flirt with an enemy when instructed to. She also straight up says that if you tell her to do something dumb, she'll stop listening to you. In Chapter 2, she leaves the party to go off with Ralsei regardless of whatever you choose. Ralsei is the least willing to disobey commands, which is fitting of him as a Darkner, a being with its own mind but not its own will. He does however occasionally override a descision, like insisting that Chapter 1's Susie intermission be viewed. Noelle is second least willing to disobey a command, but that's part of her character flaws. She can't say no. Even then, she doesn't just do as she's told mindlessly. She refuses to use Snowgrave 3 or 4 times and will only use it when she gets fed up with being told to use it. She then leaves the party of her own accord.

Spamton desires Kris' Soul on the grounds that it will allow him to be the one making the calls. That with it, he can see past the dark, and look into "heaven." When speaking to Spamton, they say they refuse to give up their Soul because of their friends.

Kris, despite being able to undo, ignore, and prevent our control of them, chooses to allow us to control them. They will veto a descision they don't like, but they willingly give up their autonomy. They only occasionally decide to stop us controlling them, and they always bring us back.

ACTing is an ability that, despite explicitly NOT being magic, is capable of doing literally anything. An ACT can give buffs or debuff, it can damage and heal, it can summon things that aren't there and make them disappear when not needed.

ACTs are only ever used in battle, and only by characters who are "in the party." When Susie saves Noelle from Werewires, she does it by using Rude Buster on the control wires.

When a character is "in the party" it means they can recieve commands from us regardless of whether or not Kris is up. The fact that Susie doesn't join the party for so long means that, while she is in the battle, we can't issue any commands to her directly. She is also unwilling to listen to directions from Kris. However, even after she joins the party, she retains the ability to reject our commands. Being in the party solely ditactes the ability to recieve our directions.

During either Susie intermission, Kris' Soul remains inside their body, and dialogue options are spoken directions from their mouth. Susie can barely hear Kris in Chapter 1 because they're in another room behind a brick wall, and in Chapter 2, she doesn't react to those choices because she literally isn't in the room.

ACTing is strictly necessary to beat DELTARUNE. K. Round cannot be defeated without using it, and neither can the Music Guys.

In most cases, ACTing will create a heart-shaped particle effect. This is diegetic to some extent, as the dialogue options for the Ferris Wheel reference it.

"Point and hearts come out."

Ralsei consistently preaches the value of ACTing. He claims FIGHTing is unnecessary, and insists that Susie learn to ACT, partially out of fear of what could happen if she doesn't.

Ralsei has a prevalent Heart motif, with the heart on his robe and on the big door in his castle.

Ralsei claims Kris' Soul contains the FATE OF THE WORLD. As a fitting parallel to this, the DELTA RUNE, an image representing the Propehcy of the end of the world and the heroes that undo and/or prevent it, is heart-shaped, with the three triangles and winged circle contained within.

Dual Heal, Red Buster, and Courage are all accessed via the ACT menu.

In Chapter 2, ACTs initiated from Kris' ACT menu will be more powerful than ones from Susie and Ralsei's Magic menus.

After the Goner Maker but before the Opening, a distinctly Non-Gaster voice will discard your vessel, state that no one can choose who they are in this world, then tell you your name is Kris, though that last part comes through the mouth of Toriel. This voice shares speech patterns with Chara Dreemurr.

It is implied Gaster has seen a future in which the heroes fail, and brings in the player to create a new future where they succeed. It is also implied Kris has seen this "old future" as well.

Kris Dreemurr shares many similarities with Chara Dreemurr. A love of chocolate, a green shirt with a yellow stripe, non-descript pants, some kind of preoccupation with knives, a snarky attitude and prankster streak, etc.

Putting all this together, I present my latest theories.

For one, ours is the power to ACT. Only characters in the party can ACT, and ACTing can create things that aren't there, as well as cause anything to happen. Kris, our defacto vessel, can ACT better than anyone else, because they have the most direct connection to us. We are represented by a heart, and hearts appear when an ACT is used. Ralsei, a proponent of ACTing, has a heart on his robe, and on his big door. The DELTA RUNE, the prophecy of the heroes, is heart-shaped. The Prophecy requires that ACTs be used in order to progress. In this theory, Gaster brought in the player specifically because they have the power to ACT. They have the power to change things, to make anything happen. Spamton wants Kris' Soul in the hopes that he will be able to change things. That he won't be a slave to someone else's will.

The second part of this theory is that Kris was the one to reject the Vessel. Kris allows themselves to be controlled for their friends' sakes. While capable of removing us directly or telling someone about us, they don't, because it was their choice to allow us in the first place. In this theory, Kris already failed to save the world, but the timeline was reset. Gaster, seeing that Kris failed, calls in the player, but Kris decides to steal a second chance. While not his intention, Gaster does not object to Kris' interjection, because it doesn't matter to him. As long as they player is there, there's hope. This theory actually goes hand in hand with the first, as Gaster summons the player for the power to ACT, and Kris takes them in by their own descision, as their own autonomy is not as important as that power. It's a small price to pay. Kris, when they do remove our influence, seems less concerned with getting away from us, and more concerned with keeping us around. They could just crush that heart or stab it, or even just throw it away, but instead they keep it locked up in a cage, hidden in a cabinet, or stuffed in the couch. And when they're done making a Dark Fountain in their own living room, they put us right back in place, but not before holding up the heart, as if staring at it in awe.

Gonna do a quick scaffold then see how excited the muse gets for actual writing.

So the boys are locked in a room. It’s big enough for the three of them but it’s definitely like a walk in closet or a trainers office. This is during training camp. One of the rookies/new guys thought it would be funny. None of the core are laughing.

Sid keeps banging on the door hoping someone will hear him. Kris has already tried texting for help but he’s got no cell service and something is wrong with his phone’s WiFi. Geno, is glaring at the wall in a corner. Eventually someone is gonna have to walk by and realize they’re in there. Or it’ll hit skate time, video review, or some other meeting, and people will notice they’re missing. The person will have to tell someone and he’ll have to let them out. They won’t be locked in here forever.

In the meantime, they’re locked in a room. Kris is annoyed because they should have locked Sid and Geno in a room together years ago (trust him, he and Flower discussed it) so they’d get over their pining, but why’d it have to include him? Kris is under the impression Sid and Geno got together after the 16-17 cups. They did. It didn’t work out.

Sid and Geno dated briefly during the 17-18 season, broke up sometime fall of 18, and have been on-again-off-again sometimes partners sometimes fuckbuddies ever since. They can’t stay away from each other but every time they give the relationship a shot it fizzles after a couple months. They’ve never lasted over a summer and it’s hard. They were in an off period during Geno’s contract negotiations which added a lot of stress. They do love each other and miss each other when they’re not together, hence the mutual pining on their end, but they haven’t figured out how to make it work in a way that sticks.

It’s been a longer than usual off season and they both missed each other terribly. Neither of them wants to suggest getting back together just yet because I do think it ended badly in the spring but the summer apart soothed their hurts and stirred up the pining so they’re back to missing each other. Both of them are they’re very hard not to think about how that conversation is on the horizon, especially since they’re locked in a room with their close friend who they’ve never officially told they’re dating.

Fun fact about these two, they’re also both interested in Kris, which Kris doesn’t know. Idk if Sid and Geno have talked to each about their mutual attraction to Kris but it’s there, and it makes the feelings conversation harder.

Kris now, he kinda fell in love with both of them at different points in the last couple years. Between Flower and Duper leaving, stepping up into the alternate captain role, everything about the pandemic and the stuff after, he just ended up spending a lot of time with them organically and feelings started blossoming on his end. He’s not gonna act on it with his two friends that are together.

The time they spent is why he thinks they’re together. They never explained the breakups or makeups or any of the complicated relationship drama. They’ve never even told him they were together, Tanger just knows them well enough to pick up on it and what they stopped hiding.

Having said all of that I have no idea how this fic actually resolves. It’s been a hot minute since my brain wanted to juggle dialogue and I really should stretch myself to write it but it’s midnight and it’s a school night. I have to be up at 8am to go into work.

Sid bangs on the door. Geno snipes at him about it. Sid turns around to yell at him cause calling for help isn’t working. I think they go back and forth for a while and then Tanger makes a joke about getting a room or seven minutes in heaven in an attempt to diffuse the tension and accidentally gets both of them staring at him. They admit they’re not together. Tanger doesn’t know how to react to that. I’m not sure how the convo gets to the feelings admission. Maybe Tanger asks what happened and they have to explain?

I think during the convo Sid admits that even when they’re off he’s not seeing or sleeping with anyone. The one time he tried to hookup he just ended up missing Geno. Geno probably echos the same. It’s cute. Maybe the couple is back together. Maybe they even kiss. Idk.

I’m unclear how we get to Tanger confessing. Does he mumble something about wishing he could have been that rebound hookup that didn’t go anywhere? Does he say something about how he thought they were together so he never said anything? Does Sid try and echo his joke about getting a room and Tanger admits that he doesn’t hate it since it’s them. Idk. Somewhere in there Tanger admits his feelings, maybe before getting Sid and Geno back together, maybe after.

Either way both Sid and Geno are like wait you like me/us? Tanger wants them to forget it but when has Sid ever forgotten a thing once he’s set his eyes on it? When has Geno taken his eyes off the puck? Anyway I think they lock eyes and decide they’re seducing him, which they do. There’s maybe love/feelings confessions in there but there’s also a bunch of kissing and maybe some blow jobs so Kris can see how much they care for him as well. It’s a good moment. Geno suggests that maybe the reason him and Sid never worked out is because they didn’t have Kris. It’s the three of them on the ice, maybe they need the three of them off the ice to work too. Sid likes that very much and Kris just had an orgasm so he’s feeling pretty agreeable.

It’s still not until an hour after that that they get let out of the room. They have time to negotiate and plan their relationship. Also cuddles (geno gets cuddly after orgasms, not that he’d admit it).

I’m used to seeing her as just some cutout of a cheerleader, all perfect teeth, perfect hair, perfect everything. It’s such a fundamentally uninteresting package that my brain just kind of skips over her, yawning at her existence.

Yeah, so. In my opinion, his thinking of Chrissy as boring is a great summary of this paragraph. But you can think on your own!

But I'll give a little bonus, this is right after the above paragraph:

But there’s another Chrissy Cunningham. I just hadn’t thought she’d survived the jump to high school. I hadn’t thought she’d even existed outside the boundaries of the Hawkins Middle auditorium. [...the long excerpt of middle school talent show flashback I can't possibly copy-paste here...] I’d thought the last four years had stamped out any trace of the unsettled, imperfect, approachable Chrissy Cunningham. But maybe I was wrong.

So this is why I think maybe Eddie thought Chrissy had gone into the dark, conformity side and just decided to forget about her cus...she's not...worth it...? Damn, his rock-solid prejudiced worldview in this book. I don't wonder why some people reject this. But right at that moment, when Chrissy tries to stop the jocks from bullying Gareth, he realises that Chrissy doesn't change and is not the typical jockette he thought she'd become.

This reminds me of an essay about Eddie that his going to the Upside Down is the moment when his worldview truly goes upside down, with Steve, Nancy, and Robin being not like his first thought. He realises that he IS someone who boxes them in roles too in the first place and that's no different than the conformity he always rejects.

If I truly use this book's interpretation then maybe up until that point, Chrissy is the only outlier in his worldview. An exception to his rule. Only Chrissy.

*shrug* Whether people accept this characterisation of Eddie or not doesn't really matter to me. I think the variety of opinions is great! I enjoy many interpretations in the fandom, and this is one interpretation that, okay, maybe not as romantic as I'd like but I really enjoy it nonetheless.

I need to decide my own interpretation of Eddie myself, because my interpretation right now is based on a hundred fanfics, a few essays, and one watch of S4, but so far...I don't mind the book's characterisation.

But that's only me. I haven't read beyond Chapter 6 lol

since you seem to know the people in destination fear (now project fear), I need to ask two things: are they known for faking evidence? & is that tall guy (i believe his name is tanner)’s voice truly that deep? cause damn dude 😰😰. I’ve been watching some of their videos (currently watching pennhurst) and they seem to get a good chunk of evidence. i’m digging them so far, since snc haven’t been giving me the rush anymore with all their guests and dares and rituals and re-enactments, feels like i’m watching a fabricated reality show tbh. worth for the entertainment, completely null for the paranormal. i’ve watched other paranormal content creators, like paranormal files, twin paranormal (their personalities are SO stark contrast against their looks, makes me laugh every single time), Steve and Dylan’s channel (which I also really like and miss them collabing w snc), exploringwithjosh (though less now bc he collabs a lot w seth and after that incident and what his ex said, which left me completely nauseated, I can’t watch the guy anymore. shame bc I really liked his vibe investigating and how good he was at Estes), even kris and celina as well but I guess I’m digging paranormal fear more and more as I watch their content.

I don't actually know of anything controversial with them paranormal wise. I will say; however, that Dakota got his start on Ghost Adventures before Zak spun him out into his own show (which Zak was the EP of for many years)...so take from that what you will.

I truly don't watch any paranormal content on youtube these days, outside of snc (and that I mostly watch for snc themselves, tbh). I did watch a few episodes of Destination Fear over the years and didn't mind it, but to be honest, I tend to forget that they moved to YouTube and do their thing over there now. My brain is just so fried these days lol.

Now, Twin Paranormal is one who I will say I find extremely suspect, paranormal evidence wise. Anyone who uses a cell phone app for evp's is just...not for me 🤣.

I don't think you have to worry about Josh and Seth collabing anymore, anon. Josh made it clear that those days are over, from my understanding.

I believe he also made it clear that he's going back to urbex content because the paranormal community has gotten so out of hand lately, so I guess it doesn't really matter. But yea, Josh is flying solo these days.

Anywho, snc and Project Fear did recently film a collab (or maybe 2, not sure) together, so there is that to look forward to as well, if you're in to Project Fear and want to see snc maybe give the hyperactive streamer route a break!
