CM ANNOUNCES RS 50 BN ELEVATED EXPRESSWAY PROJECT FOR LAHOREIITES

LAHORE, Dec 27:

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar inaugurated the Gulab Devi Underpass and announced to name it after Abdul Sattar Edhi. The full height three-lane underpass would ease the movement of 1.32 lakh plus vehicles while six crore rupees have been saved through transparent tendering. The CM said the facility would also benefit the patients of Gulab Devi, Children, Social Security and General Hospital patients while accommodating the lakhs of citizens in their daily movement.

Federal Minister and PTI Punjab President Shafqat Mahmood, Provincial Ministers Murad Raas, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Asad Khokhar, Ejaz Alam, parliamentarians, PTI leaders, SACM Hasaan Khawar, IG police, commissioner and DC Lahore, secretary information and others were also present.

Talking to the media, the CM said the Gulberg to jail road (Siddique Trade Center) flyover has also been named after poet Munir Niazi. The Abdul Sattar Edhi Underpass has been completed two months before the deadline for which DG LDA and governing body members deserve accolades, he added and pointed out that the ceremony has been held in the underpass to save public money. The Punjab government has also saved millions of rupees in every project by ensuring transparency, he asserted.

The CM announced an elevated expressway project valuing 50 billion to facilitate the citizens of Lahore. Similarly, Rs. 6.50 billion would be spent to construct multilevel entry and exit points at Shahdara Morr to resolve traffic congestion there, he added. The LDA has, meanwhile, completed four major projects in Lahore with 2.45 billion including the Lal Shehbaz Qalandar underpass, Bab-e-Lahore, elimination of traffic congestion points at major roads and construction of pedestrians' bridges at suitable places to ease public movement. Meanwhile, more than 9.16 billion rupees were being spent to complete three major projects in the provincial metropolis, he said. An additional lane was being built at Lahore bridge near children hospital, Data Ganj Bakhsh flyover with 4.90 billion and 2.54 billion would be spent on Shahkam Chowk Flyover project, he added. Alongside, the expansion of Sagian Road will be completed with 3.40 billion and the main boulevard Gulberg to Walton Road Defense Chowk will be made a signal-free corridor with three billion rupees. He added that an underpass and flyover at Karim block Iqbal Town will be built with 2.90 billion.

The CM pointed out that the orange line metro train project was also completed by the incumbent government by arranging necessary funding as like other incomplete projects of the previous government. The past government conceived projects without caring for the welfare of the people and subsidies to the tune of billions of rupees had to be given to run them, he lamented. The public transport scheme should have been finalized after proper study. Around billion of rupees were being given to six projects as subsidies including orange line metro train, metro bus system and feeder route system, he further said and pointed out the income of these projects was minimal.

Replying to the questions of the media, the CM explained that the PTI would perform well in the second phase of KPK’s local bodies’ elections as the first phase has been completed. The local bodies elections would be held in Punjab directly and the bill has been presented in the assembly. The public representatives would be empowered and the government will perform well in Punjab, he said. To a question, the CM maintained that the volume of work done by Education Minister Murad Raas in his department in just three years was not done during the last 70 years. Murad Raas has introduced important changes like e-transfer, e-leave and e-pension while upgrading 1500 schools. 8000 schools will be upgraded this financial year while a total of 27 thousand schools would be upgraded in the next two years, he said. Meanwhile, the past government only upgraded 1500 schools in a period of five years, he held. Lahore Technopolis was being established in Lahore over 790 acres of land to provide international quality technology, research-based education and high-tech manufacturing opportunities to the students, he said. This project would enjoy all incentives under the special technology zone act along with a tax remission for a period of ten years. The CM pointed out that the past government wasted two billion over the knowledge park project without any delivery or performance.

To a question about Nawaz Sharif, the CM explained that anybody could come or go while the law would take its own course and everything would be done in accordance with the law. The allies are with us and nobody should be worried as everything is okay, he added and announced that the journey of development would be accelerated under the leadership of PM Imran Khan.

Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood regretted that loot and plunder was the norm of the day in the past while CM Usman Buzdar has introduced the culture of transparency and development and his development projects are bringing ease in the lives of the common man as Usman Buzdar was serving the masses with sincerity and commitment. Provincial Minister Murad Raas thanked the CM for resolving public problems. DG LDA also spoke on the occasion.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of poet Sarfraz Shahid.

In a statement, the CM extended sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace. Late Sarfraz Shahid enjoyed a prominent place in comic poetry and a beautiful chapter of comic poetry has come to an end with his death, he maintained.

CM CHAIRS MEETING TO REVIEW PROGRESS ON ONGOING HEALTH SCHEMES

LAHORE, Dec 27:

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed to early complete ongoing health projects so as to provide the best medical facilities to the citizens.

While chairing a meeting at his office on Monday which was attended by Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, health secretaries and others, the CM added that Naya Pakistan Health Card would be launched from the Lahore division from January and the facility would be extended to Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala and Sargodha divisions by March 31. Around 400 billion rupees would be spent on universal health insurance program in the next three years, he counted. It is a historic initiative to provide Naya Pakistan Health Card to every citizen in the province which would provide the annual free medical facility of one million rupees to each family, he stated and repeated that improving healthcare facilities was a priority agenda of the government.

The CM emphasized that holistic reforms would help to revamp the archaic health system to provide the most modern health facilities to the general public. A number of health schemes would be completed in 2022 including three state-of-the-art emergencies in the provincial metropolis, he added and reiterated that provision of the best healthcare system to the masses was an agenda of the PTI-led government.

Journey Of Gul Panra and The Beauty Queen of Pakistan

One of the most proficient female singer of Pashtun background, famous at home and abroad, Gul Panra has reached remarkable heights of fame through her singing styles, innocent behavior and awesome looks.

Gul Panra, was born on 6th September 1989 in Peshawar (City of Flowers), capital city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Since years Peshawar was riddled with tribal battels, terrorist assaults and religious fanatism, it is no less surprise that despite these hardships she had completed her 12 years education from his hometown and enrolled in the most reputable Institute of Peshawar for her higher studies. She did Master’s in Social work from the same university in 2014. From the early days of childhood, she had the dream of singing songs because of her melodious voice.

In the beginning, she got famous among Pashtuns in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and some other countries by singing Pashto songs from famous poets such as Hamza Baba and Rahman Baba and many others.

Pashto songs notwithstanding, she gradually became famous all-around Pakistan by producing songs like Mahiya, Dilbar Jani and some other in Urdu as well as Punjabi. In 2015, she featured in coke studio season 8 with Atif Aslam in the Persian song Man Ahmedeh Am that increased her fame even more. Again in 2018, she appeared in coke studio season 11 with two songs: Rasha Mama alongside with a senior Pashto singer Zarsanga, a Pashto band Khumariyaan and she has sung the famous Pakistani song Hawa Hawa with Pakistani pop singer Hassan Jahangir. Furthermore, she has also sung anthem songs of Peshawar Zalmi in PSL and Pakhtoon Team in T10 League.

She had become brand Ambassador of Pakhtoon Team in T 10 league season I & II in 2017 and 18, respectively. She also was the Regional Brand Ambassador of Peshawar Zalmi team in Pakistan Super League.

Besides singing, she has been promotor of Pashtun culture. She had promoted Pashtoon culture in different famous countries of Globe like Norway, Manchester UK.

For her performance, she was nominated the best performer of the year 2016 in the DAF Bama Music Award in Hamburg, Germany. She has also been awarded the title of Beauty Queen of Pakistan by her fans. She has a huge social media following of over 10 million.

It’s been 10 years since she embarked upon the journey of her singing career. Though the path is of full of ups and downs, she has conquered all these adversities and proved to be the most successful female Pashtun singer and she had created an example for the females not only in KPK but in all over Pakistan.

Pimpinan KPK Saut Situmorang Akan Hadiri Grandfinal Sumbar Talenta XII

BeritaSumbar.com, PADANG – Ajang audisi seni dan budaya bergengsi di Sumatra Barat ‘Sumbar Talenta XII’ yang telah melewati masa audisi dan penyisihan dari tanggal 4 Maret 2017 lalu, akan menggelar malam grandfinalnya pada hari Sabtu, 6 Mei 2017, di Gelanggang Olah Raga (GOR) Prayoga, Jl. WR. Mongonsidi – Padang. Acara akan dimulai dari jam 19.00 WIB.

“Grandfinal Sumbar Talenta XII ini akan menampilkan 17 grandfinalis yang akan saling menunjukkan kemampuannya untuk mendapatkan hadiah utama, Piala Bergilir dari Menpora RI. Direncanakan, juga akan ada penampilan tari dari Zimbabwe, grup musik dari Aljazair,” kata Dra. Hj. Sastri Yunizarti Bakry, Akt, M.Si., CA, salah seorang pendiri Sumbar Talenta, ketika kami wawancarai, 5/5/2017.

Adapun 17 grandfinalis yang berhasil menyisihkan ratusan peserta audisinya itu adalah Ayu, Ghinta, Dinda, Syarah, Divanny, Andika, Rhomario, Najla, Tetep, Thata, Yolanda, Shalsabilla, Risma, Rifki, Syafira, Mahoni Voice, dan Cefla Voice. Mereka akan menampilkan bakat seni mereka masing-masing, baik di bidang olah vokal, tari, teater, baca puisi, maupun dalam memainkan alat musik. Acara akan dipandu oleh MC dari Malaysia, Shirley Idris, yang juga adalah seorang Penyair, penulis buku kumpulan puisi ‘Perempuan Serpihan Malam’.

Untuk penjurian saat audisi dan penyisihan ditangani oleh Harhy Syafmita, S.Sn, Ranti Arastri Bakry, S.Sos, com, Gilang Talenta, Mike Pernanda, AMd.Par, Rizal Tanjung, Efiyarti, dan Yanti Puspita. Sedangkan untuk penjurian Grandfinal Sumbar Talenta XII dipercayakan kepada Erfan Lubis dan Khaidir bin Jamal. Pada malam Grandfinal akan menetapkan The First Winner, The Second Winner, The Third Winner, The Fourth Winner, The Best Vocal, The Best Dancer, The Best Vocal Group, The Best Poet, The Best Music, The Best Performance, dan tiga orang Duta Integritas.

Panitia telah menyiapkan hadiah-hadiah untuk para pemenang, di antaranya Piala Bergilir dari Menpora RI, Thropy (dari Ketua Umum DPP HWK, Tando Mato), Piagam (dari Panitia Sumbar Talenta XII, Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi), Uang Tunai (dari Ibu Hj. Emma Yohanna, Panitia, Hj. Yeni Zafitri, S.E, Hj. Rita Khaidir,Bupati Kab. 50 Kota, H. Emmy Jinis, Hj. Zahara, Titipan Kilat ‘TiKi’), Konser ke Croatia, Tiket pesawat ke luarnegeri (dari Martalina, Armindo Jaya Tour, Khaidir bin Jamal, bingkisan (dari Ketua DPRD Sumbar, KPK, Tando Mato Hijab Store, Rezi Putra Pratama, Rindyansyah Murad, Hj. Yeni Zafitri, Harhy Syafmita, Yusuf Afrisal Hutahuruk, Paket Buku dari Ibu Sastri Bakry, Paket dari Walikota Padang, Voucher (dari Sambalado, Pangeran Beach Hotel, Aliga Hotel, Ethic Barbershop), dan berbagai hadiah lainnya.

Sumbar Talenta XII yang berslogan ‘Bertalenta, Berprestasi, dan Berintegritas’ ini mengangkat tema ‘Think Tourism Through Youth Tourism’, ingin membangun jiwa berintegritas pada generasimuda di Sumatra Barat lewat kesenian dan kebudayaan Minangkabau. Dengan sasaran, agar semakin menarik hati para wisatawan domestik dan mancanegara untuk berkunjung ke Sumatra Barat. Berkenaan dengan ini, Pimpinan KPK, Thony Saut Situmorang sengaja dihadirkan sebagai Keynote Speaker pada malam grandfinal Sumbar Talenta XII, yang juga akan menyerahkan ‘Salempang Duta Integritas’ kepada tiga orang Duta Integritas yang terpilih.

Malam Grandfinal Sumbar Talenta XII ini juga akan jadi acara malam puncak pelaksanaan International Youth Conference Cultural Exchange and Camp (IYCCC) 2017, yang para pesertanya berasal dari utusan dari berbagai negara, seperti Singapura, Malaysia, Zimbabwe, Brunei, Kamboja, Aljazair, dan juga dari provinsi Banten, Sumatra Selatan, dan Sumatra Barat.

Program dari Himpunan Wanita Karya (HWK) Sumbar dengan Sumbar Talenta Organization ini ingin mengenalkan wisata lewat generasimuda dengan mensenyawakan program Sumbar Talenta dengan IYCCC 2017, semoga kegiatan ini berdampak baik terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Sumatra Barat untuk ke depannya.
