I see a lot of people saying that the line "the road to happiness is filled with very tempting parking spaces" means that when pursuing happiness it's can feel tempting or easy to give up along the way due to the difficulty of the journey, but I never saw it that way.

Instead, I saw it as, the road to true happiness is filled with tempting parking spaces that will provide temporary happiness/the illusion of happiness, only to leave you more unhappy and further away from your destination of true happiness. Because the parking spaces are static, yet still on the road to happiness, by parking, you are still on the road to happiness, just settling for what you have rather than betting that whatever lies ahead will be grander. Not the destination, but the journey to it.

It can be tempting to give up, yes, but it can also be tempting to settle.

At least, that's how I saw it.

Kaeya

Let’s get straight (pan) into this!

As a player, you meet Kaeya during a quest, where the player learns the ins and outs of genshin temples, which are essentially dungeons. Here’s his portrait:

I love-love-loooved Kaeya as a playable character in the beginning. Kaeya‘s elemental burst puts a cryo effect on anything about 3-4 hilichurls away (which, I know, is an odd way to measure, but that’s how I saw it), and his elemental skill creates a circle of revolving ice crystals that affects anything they touch with cryo, even if you switch to a different character. Both of these elemental abilities served me well- since Kaeya was close-range, I could freeze difficult opponents (such as the samachurls and mitachurls that show up later in the game), and, when I received Electro characters later in the game, I could use Kaeya‘s elemental skill and switch to these Electro characters, making their attacks, bursts, and skills deal way more damage!

However, again, as I progressed in the game, I found it more difficult to play as Kaeya; his elemental burst didn’t hold as long, his elemental skill didn’t hold long enough, and his normal attacks didn’t do as much damage as I thought they would, even when I leveled and ascended Kaeya almost obsessively. My final opinion is that while Kaeya is an insanely powerful character in the first parts of the game, he unfortunately becomes less so as you progress.

So, as a Genshin player, I’d say that as a beginner, keep Kaeya on your main team, and utilize him to get out of tough spots. However, the longer you play, the more you will realize that there are absolutely superior cryo characters to Kaeya. All in all, he’s a powerful character in the beginning, just to start you off, and it seems like (with the way the game functions) that you’re meant to eventually replace him. (still think he’s hot tho lol)

a big reason why i was never convinced by bai xiaosheng's crush on yanhui is that it literally could have been anyone else who had saved him in that scenario and he wouldve fallen for them

every time bai xiaosheng mentions why he likes yanhui, it is literally that one moment that cemented his affection for her in his head

if he had gone on to develop a deeper affection for her after learning more about who she is, that would have been a whole other story and created a more compelling one sided romance on his part

but the whole arc in qingqiu just serves to show that bai xiaosheng loves yanhui more for stepping in where his mother did not and not really as a romantic partner and im a little disappointed that he never seems to figure that out even till the end

it wouldve been more rewarding for me if he had understood that his love for her was always platonic but its no less than the romantic love between yaoyan
