Suzume had her eyes fixed on the wedding ring she received from Racules.

Racules: It's just a makeshift. You won't get more than a penny if you sell it.

Suzume: Who do you think I am?! The fruit of love between Racules-sama and I is not something to put a price on!

Racules: ...Sometimes I wonder how sane you are.

Suzume: Nothing to wonder. My love for Racules-sama is enough to drive me mad!

Racules: Love? You mean hatred, Suzume Dybowski.

Suzume: (´◔ ₃ ◔`) eh?

Racules: For your country, become its tool… At this point, where is the logic for you to stay sane?

Suzume: ...Toufu's women, we keep our feet firm on the ground. Therefore, we will not easily stray from the path we believe in :D

A sudden smile appeared on Racules.

Racules: Just as I thought, you are a lost cause.

Racules stepped away to leave.

Racules: That ring, it shines in the sun. Careful, don't burn your eyes.

Suzume looked at the ring, then at the back of Racules.

Suzume: …Enough! Saying things like "don't go mad" is forbidden~!!!

Suzume caught up to Racules in a dash. Racules treated her like serious trouble.

Soon, the duel shall begin, for the second time.

ラ 「間に合わせだ。売ったところで二束三文にしかならない」

ラ 「…時に君の正気を疑うことがある」

ス 「無理もありません。ラクレス様への愛が、私を狂わせるんですもの！」

ラ 「愛ではなく、憎しみだろう。スズメ・ディボウスキ」

ス 「ほえ？」

ラ 「国のため、道具にされ続け、それでも正気でいられる道理は何だ」

ラクレスがふっと微笑む。

ラ 「やはり度し難いな」

ラクレスが立ち去ろうと歩き出す。

ラ 「その指輪は、太陽を浴びて輝く。目を焼かれぬよう、気をつけろ」

スズメが指輪を見て、ラクレスの背中を見つめる。

ス 「もぅ…狂うなと言う方が罪ですわーっ！！！」

スズメ、ラクレスをダッシュで追いかけ、ラクレスが本当に面倒くさそうにあしらう。

間も無く、二度目の決闘裁判が始まる。

I thought I had gained some control over my obsession and pining over PrinceWitch, and that I might just make it to September 27th without combusting, but then the Chapter 2 reveal comes along with all it's softness, domesticity and *that* piece of information, and brings all my feelings back with renewed fervour.

Here I was, peacefully reading and enjoying my way through Glint, and now all I want to do is binge PrinceWitch fanfic, re-read KOTW and KOTC, and then cry about how much I love Wrath and Emilia, and slowly dying as I wait for KOTF to finally arrive.

i just want to say super kudos to those of you who write KOTW and TFOTA because writing a character who literally cannot lie but is a freaking wordsmith when it comes to deceptions is so fucking difficult and as a reader I super appreciate the amount of thought that goes into each line. I literally spent a few hours rereading interactions to see what truths and lies were being avoided because this restriction is so intriguing and so fucking compelling to read

I do have one smutty one shot planned called The Sweetest of Sins and my lovely mate @starbornvalkyrie and I have discussed a modern mafia au, but nothing wholly concrete. I don’t know when they will happen. We're having the kitchen being remodeled and it's a huge distraction where writing is involved with consistent banging and what not 😅. It will be finished in a week!

thing that I used to want to write a fanfic about but I never got around to do it so here:

okay, remember that other dimension from KotW (and the following 2 books but w/e) where Mevolent wins and rules Ireland and sorcerers live in their own rich secluded communities while mortals have the most miserable existence? bc are mortal-born sorcerers a thing there? or is that only possible if there’s already magic blood in the family and thus rendering it impossible in this dimension bc mortals & sorcerers don’t mix at all?

bc if it is a thing, how does it work? according to Skulduggery in book 1, it’s entirely possible to have magic and just never notice it, but what if you’re a natural like fletcher? wouldn’t you notice (or anyone else, really) if you could suddenly teleport? Are mortal-born sorcerers acknowledged by the magic community? Is magic by itself important enough for the “real” sorcerers that they would go and train the mortal-born people? Or are they not considered worth the time? Is there like a patrol of psychics or something that search the villages for magical kids? 

How does the parallel dimension handle magical people born outside of the magical communities??

7 - what story/ headcanons do you feel most proud of?

oh!! a lot of my later ones im most proud of, i feel like i have a much firmer grasp on what i want my writing to evoke, emotion wise? so i can go anywhere i want (anywhere i want, just not home) im really proud of!! and hold me like you used to (so tight i'd bruise you) as well im super proud of!!

for headcanons, hmmm. i don't know if i've ever properly talked about them on tumblr but demi-aroace thomas from sjtr is a headcanon i adore. oh, i'm pretty proud of the ship name princewitch definitely my best contribution for kotw lmao

not for individual fics (unless they're super long ones) but i do have a writing playlist for instrumental music that gets me in the writing mood, and a cressworth playlist and a kingdom of the wicked playlist!!
