A tiny spruce sapling growing on a scree slope. People have built it a little wall to keep hikers from stepping on it so that it can grow big and strong. 🥺July 11.

Wanting Enercheez? Here's Where To Find Them in 2024.

Enercheez is a delicious snacking product that’s sold in select markets for a little more than seven years now, and they are finally hitting grocery stores! I discovered them over the weekend while at Thrifty’s Foods. "Wants Doukhobors Sent to Russia," Ottawa Journal. June 26, 1943. Page 3.
----
W. K. Esling (Prog. Con. Kootenay West) said Friday in the House of Commons that Prime Minister King should enter into negotiations with the Russian Minister to Canada to have Doukhobors returned to Russia.
Protesting that Federal and Provincial Governments appeared afraid to apply the law against Doukhobors, Mr. Esling said that the influence of the older generation who had come from Russia kept the younger people from observing Canadian-laws.
The British Columbia member, who said the Doukhobors were "exploiting" the labor market in his district, suggested that their movement from district to district to hide their identity should be halted by empowering those in charge of transit vehicles to ask passengers for their registration cards.
