No time/energy for dolls today, I needed to sort out all my jumpers (sweaters), jackets and winter trousers before putting them away in the now empty summer clothes storage bags.
/// The backstory here is that for at least 20 years I couldn't get rid of clothes until things became unusable (as in unusable indoors where no-one can see the bobbly wool, stains, felted sleeves or how badly it's faded) .
Last year, I decided as part of the 'You neglected yourself until you broke your shoulders Wake-Up Event' that I needed presentable clothes if I were to go out or at least not scramble when people come to visit.
It is good to not look like an unkempt depressed person (ok yes i get sads for march april, a wee bit morbid for winter solstice but otherwise not depressed) by thanking my clothes for their service and setting standards. If I can't elegantly or cutefully patch or dye it: to the rag pile or textile recycling.
So far I managed T-shirts. ///
It was tougher than T-shirts, there was one from Grandad who's gone, several with other strong sentimental value (gifts and matching sets with sis)... but objectively manky.
I've kept one cotton blend yarn from my 1999 trip to the UK and one big baggy yellow wool jumper that mum got in 1987 so she could breastfeed sis in peace. It became my comfort jumper in my mid teens. They'll both need extensive bobble shaving if I want to keep them. It's hard to explain how specific sets of standards help bypass the 'this was a good item and still comfy' resistance and the strange: vunerable but very relieved feelings I get afterwards.
I hope to do dresses at some point later this month.
Gratitude not fear, learning from each item... Kon Mari really is a game changer. I thought it was was for people with lots of stuff (that's me in other areas, not clothes) but it's also for people with not much who need to learn what's not worth keeping as it's not sparking joy just other complex feelings, what's worth investing in? what won't last beyond a season (it is still good if it serves the purpose of being nice summer wear for that summer for example)? and when to buy duplicates.

I don't know if it's a great time but would you folks be interested if I did a sale (to worldwide) of reroots and a few barbie heads (Litdh Midge, Trichelle, Kayla, a bald Janay, the vintage skippers...), wigs, hair? Bigger dolls and items would have to be western EU only. I'm looking to declutter my brain space more than anything.
I have no wishlist except $ to send out gifts, fantasy nice nylon, curvy barbie bodies (molded bodices fine) casual clothes, liquid fusion and strands of nylon taped to a piece of paper with corresponding names to build up my swatch, whatever special custom documents bags you can just peel and stick to parcels (I haven't found the right keywords) and the elastics that come with mattel and mga dolls that are somehow more durable that anything you can get for humans.
I need to buy new paintbrushes and some medium, some doll-safe hair gel, plastic straws, non vinyl gloves.
Half finished projects or ones that need paint touchups will be discounted. Simba doll heads can be provided with neckgrafts pre installed.
I'll offer the cheap bubble letter with tracking or more expensive big shoe boxes.
Is it a bad time just before 'back to school' and with new doll lines hitting the shelves? (I'm also happy to do saran or nylon replacement on your new dolls at 5$ an hour, you supply the hair, if it turns out they have naf poly)

Tormenting Triplets
A continuation from Terror Twins.
Tag Team Tournament 2022
Day 1 prompt: I was just on the way to get you flowers
Masterlist
..........................................
Lex stared in horror at the trio of tweens before him. He pinched the bridge of his nose to stop the groan escaping his mouth as gazed upon the troublesome trio.
Kon had mud smeared up the side of his face. His smart, nicely pressed clothes crumpled and hardly recognisable any more. He wore an overly pleased wonky grin on his face as he draped his arm over Tim.
Tim. Tim had twigs and leaves dotting out of his hair in a bird's nest kind of way. There was dirt on his knees and he held a "twig" like a staff. He looked the opposite of the charming polite child he occasionally see's at galas being led around by the Ice Queen Janet Drake. His chilling smirk filled Lex with no uncertainty whose child he really was. His arm was looped around his partner in most crime Marinette.
At Mariette, Lex just sighed. Her dungarees were torn and black smeared against the pastel colours and was wearing only one shoe. He didn't dare think about where the other one was. There was a dandelion crown resting upon scruffy, now wonky, pigtails and given the way she held her hands in her pockets, Lex dreaded to think what she held in them.
"Do I want to know what you've been up to?"
Despite vowing never to look after the three together, Sandra and Slade appeared to have very different views. Whether this was their revenge or not, he was going to insist to Mercy that it NEVER happened again. Then pray to whatever gods and almighty beings in this world that Mercy didn't cave to Kon's puppy eyes. Just looking at them sent a deep seeded, bone wearing, weariness through him.
"We were on the way to get flowers for you…"
Lex raised his eyebrows when his son started his 'explanation'.
"Marinette said we couldn't pick the ones in the gardens outside the building." Lex could at least agree with that assessment. "And the house looked bare without any life so we thought we'd go get some."
Okay, things were going downhill. His sleek minimalist apartment really did not need flowers or whatever these menaces were planning to get for it.
"But when we walked past the park," Tim chirped in, "there was like a huge gathering. So, we decided to investigate."
"It wasn't a fun, party-like gathering. One of the buildings nearby was on fire. So, we thought it would be a good idea to hide."
Marinette offered like it was the most logical thing to do. The devil in pink, Lex thought, as she lent into the devil with glacier eyes.
"Yeah Dad, so we hid in the bushes away from the people but close enough to watch. That's when we made Mari's crown, we didn't go close. Just watched."
Lex frowned as his son rested his head on Tim's shoulder.
"Uncle Slade says I should avoid crowds and not to talk to strangers. So we definitely stuck to the rules. We hid in bushes being extra careful."
"Metropolis is weird. Like it's so shiny and sunny. People here aren't normal so we agreed with Timmy's logic that hiding was a really sensible thing to do and made sure no-one spotted us."
Lex closed his eyes and counted backwards from 10. Talking to the trio was like walking round in circles. They played innocent, but the look in their eyes said another story. They had formed a bizarre bond already much to his disappointment.
His precious baby was being ruined by the terror twins just by breathing in the same air and they'd yet to deliberately cause mischief. Lex really was questioning his sanity when he agreed to let Kon befriend the terror twins. Looking at the tormenting trio before him they could easily be triplets and the twins were bringing his baby into the fold of mayhem.
Lex raised his hand at the tweens to stop their rambling story about exploring the park's undergrowth and getting painfully close to a building on fire for his own comfort. The black smear was starting to look suspiciously like ash.
"Was Mercy aware of you leaving the building?"
The shared look between the three said it all.
"...we left her a note…"
"I see. So you left the building, therefore my protection, which Marinette and Tim's Aunt and Uncle have put me responsible for, without an adult knowing."
"I could protect them."
Kon pouted, crossing his arms.
Marinette and Tim held each other's hands and frowned, stepping closer together as a unit with Kon. Tim was tightening his grip on his stick as Marinette was fiddling in her pocket.
"We don't NEED protecting."
Lex just rolled his eyes at the dramatics he could feel impending. If he hadn't rolled his eyes Lex would have caught Tim tapping Morse code onto Marinette's hand and Kon's eyes lightening up a fraction as he heard the near inaudible taps.
"Just… just go back upstairs to the apartment, please. Kon, sweetheart, please show our guests the washroom and ensure ALL of you get cleaned up. We're meant to be going out for a meal and need to be presentable."
The trio of tweens groaned but slowly headed towards the elevator. Their hushed whispers and close huddle caused Lex to raise his eyebrow before letting out a long sigh again and looked over to Mercy once they disappeared from sight.
"Place trackers in every pair of shoes they own. Download tracker devices onto their phones. Set up security so that if they appear on any, and I do mean any camera, we get notified."
"Is that all sir?"
"For now… I have a feeling I will need a strong drink this evening. Actually, can you check my liquor supply and ensure that it is suitably maintained for the rest of the week."
With that Lex turned dismissing his assistant with a flick of his arm as he walked towards where the horrors had previously disappeared. The flickering lights which followed were worrying. The distance screams were unsettling. And the way the elevator refused to cooperate with him despite his master override codes filled Lex with dread.
"Kon. My sweetheart. My baby. My son. I *know* you can hear me. If you and your friends," Lex gritted his teeth at the leading astray that had occurred in less than 12 hours since their arrival, "leave my tower alone *now* I will reluctantly ignore this afternoon's incident outside. If not by the count of 3, there will be hell to pay!"
The elevator moved into life and the lights stopped flickering.
This was going to be a long week.

Now we're getting into the GW:T plot!
(A few side notes. The Fox Devil is called The Nameless Kitsune in this au. She looks exactly like she does in the anime/manga. Unlike how characters in Chainsaw Man have to feed The Fox Devil parts of their body to summon her, The Nameless Kitsune asks for no such thing from Akito and Mari.)
Kon! au (2)
It wasn't long after that trip to the countryside that things slowly started going downhill for the Izuki family.
Akito and Mari's parents began getting sick, and as the years ticked by, their health became worse and worse. Nothing seemed to help, and before either sibling knew it, both their parents were just gone.
With how young they were, Akito knew they would most likely be shipped off to live with a distant relative. Thing was, the only relatives he and Mari had left were the same ones related to the kids that thought it would be funny to lock up the siblings up in an old shrine.
Akito could still remember the screaming match between his parents and his cousin's when he and Mari made it back to the house all dirty and tired. The screaming only became worse when Akito told his parents what actually happened.
All his cousins gave him a look of betrayal, but all he did was glare back at them as he rock Mari in his arms. Serves them right for doing what they did to him and Mari!
However, his aunts and uncles all thought is was a harmless prank. Their kids would never hurt someone on purpose. Needless to say, Akito's parents cut ties with those family members.
Akito knew he and Mari needed to disappear, and he knew exactly who could help them do it.
After packing their things, the Izuki siblings head outside their childhood home where Akito proceeds to make a familar fox hand sign. "Kon."
This summons The Nameless Kitsune from the shrine and she becomes the Izuki sibling's guardian as they grew up without their parents.
While The Nameless Kitsune had no real name to be called, Akito and Mari eventually started afectionally calling her 'mom' over the years.
The Nameless Kitsune still preens whenever her human kits called her 'mom' to this day.
But one day everything came crashing down for this odd little family.
A fire had broken out while Akio was out, leaving Mari all alone and trapped in the flames. Luckily, she managed summoned 'mom' to save her, but the damaged was already done.
For the first time in a very long time, The Nameless Kitsune felt powerless. One of her kits was hurt, and she could do nothing to help her!
She had healing abilities, but there was no telling what it could do to a normal human! She needed something else to heal Mari!
"...Little one?" Akito perks up when he hears his 'mom's' voice echo around him in Mari's hosiptal room. "Hm?"
"I will be gone for a few days. Stay safe till I return." Since it was revealed that she couldn't heal Mari herself, The Nameless Kitsune had been doing everything possible to find another way to heal the young girl.
Akito rolls his eyes at his 'mom's' worry. "You don't need to worry about me. I always stay out of trouble."
Cue the next night, and trouble slams head first into Akito.
Shibuya has gone to hell, and not only has Akito somehow been possessed by a grumpy ghost, but Mari's been kidnapped by mask wearing lunatic!
He needed to summon his 'mom'! But everytime he tried to summon The Nameless Kitsune, something got in his way or ruined his chance to summon her!
Akito's breaking point came when he found himself surrounded by a army of all kinds of visitors!
"Looks like we have no choice! We have to fight our way through!" Akito hears KK's voice snarl in his head, making his current headache worse.
Even with him being surrounded by murderous monsters, Akito wasn't scared. He was just tired, and very, VERY angry.
Angry at what happened to his sister, angry at being possessed, angry at having so many things try to kill him, and most of all he was angry at that bastard Hannya! He was done with that lunatic's shit!
This time he was going to call 'mom' in. Hopefully she won't be too mad at him over the fact he didn't summon her sooner...
Taking a deep breath, Akito holds up one of his hands and makes the familar fox hand sign.
"Kid? What the fuck are you doing?!" KK's voice was loud with panic as the visitors creeped closer.
"I'm calling for backup KK."
"You're just making a weird as hand sign-"
"Kon!"
The ground under them explodes as a massive fox head pops into excistence, swallowing a large mouthful of visitors in one go.
"...What. The fuck. Is that THING?!" KK was in complete shock. That had to be the biggest yokai he's ever seen!
"Little one." The giant fox head turned her head toward Akito. All her red ring eyes were zeroed in on the human who now looked and felt a little nervous. "Uh... Yes mom?"
"Mom?! What the fuck?!" Akito ignored KK's yells as he walked over to his 'mom', feeling very much like a naughtly child that did something wrong.
"I clearly remembered telling you to stay out of trouble, didn't I?"
Akito's sighs, running a hand through his messy hair in frustration. "You did, but that isn't important now! A mad man took Mari and is planning on using her in somekind of weird ceremony! We have to save her!"
"And we will save her. I promise you that." When The Nameless Kitsune brought her head closer to Akito to nuzzle him like she usually did, she suddenly goes completely still.
"...Little one?" Her voice was calm, but Akito got the feeling she was very angry for some reason...
"I-Is something the matter mom?"
"Oh there is something matter alright! Why is there a parasite in you?!" She roars out, causing Akito to fall back onto his ass at how loud she was being.
A parasite? In him? Wait a second... Was she talking about KK?!
"W-wait mom! KK's not a parasite!" While he and KK didn't exactly start out on the right foot in the begining, Akito couldn't help but become fond of the grumpy yokai hunter as they fought through Shibuya.
In fact, Akito could honestly say he liked KK. The older man, while grumpy and sarcastic, had a certain charm to him.
Akito wonder what it would've been like if he met KK while the older man had been still alive and in his own body...
The Nameless Kitsune's many red ring eyes glowed ominously as she growled out, "That thing in you is a parasite! Come here! I will get it out of you!"
Luckily for KK, The Nameless Kitsune didn't do him any harm after a long talk with Akito, who by the way, somehow manages to convince the massive Kitsune in helping KK get his body back from Hannya!
"You can give me back my body?" KK couldn't believe it! He simply couldn't believe it! A yokai that mere seconds eariler was threatening to eat his soul was now saying she could get his body back!
"As long as it is in good condition and your soul is not corrupted, however let me say this, parasite. One wrong move or word, and not only will I eat your body, but your soul as well!"
With her talk with KK out of the way, the massive Kitsune turns her attention back to her kit. Her expression shfts something more gentle. "Now with that out of the way, I need to tell you something important my kit."
Akito looks at his mother figure curiously. "What is it?"
With a pleased expression on her face, the nameless Kitsune says, "I found it kit. I found a way to heal our little Mari."

Headcanons on Kon in the Captain Marvel adopts Superboy AU
Kon is his universes Captain Marvel Junior, Freddy is called Lieutenant Marvel instead
Billy’s age isn’t known, only the Shazamily and Kon know. Plus Tim, Kon told him and Tim makes sure Batman doesn’t figure it out through sneaky sabotage
His jacket has embroidery saying “You’ve been” with Caps symbol on the back with a “Struck!” At the bottom (You’ve been thunderstruck) instead of “Don’t mess with the S”
Does have access to Captain Marvels powers if needed, he’s part of the family so he can call down the lightning, but doesn’t like to because it ages him up and he ends up looking just like Clark
If he is Shazam-ed up his leather jacket becomes double breasted with the thunder emblem taking up most the front and thunder bolts in a belt formation on his hips, other than that his suit stays entirely the same
Civilian name is Conner Elliot Ordway; Conner is obvious, the Elliot is a nod to the House of El, and Ordway is the maiden name of Billy’s mom. The initials spell out CEO which is a humorous nod to Lex. Billy wanted to make sure Kon had a name that honored his family history, as messed up as it is, while still giving his one that’s makes him part of his family and able to be his own person separate from them. Which is why he gave him the last name Ordway instead of Batson, so his identity is completely his own if he wants it to be.
(More under the cut)
Knows Billy is Captain Marvel but still sees him as a great father figure, one who cares about and loves him unconditionally and respects him while also actively trying to be present in his life
Billy models his treatment to Kon as a mix of how he remembers his own dad and doing the opposite of what Superman was doing, which leads to a very loving parent-child dynamic built on respected boundaries and lots of open affection to remind eachother they’re loved
Billy mainly sees Kon as a older brother, Kon sees Captain Marvel as a dad figure and Billy as a little brother when they spend more time together as civilians. It changes based on how long they spend together in one of Billy’s forms for the most part, but mainly Kon sees him as his dad (even if the differences in age are supposed to be odd)
Billy uses the “Pretending to be my own dad” trick with Captain Marvel to get Kon in a high school in Fawcett plus Tim’s stellar “I faked a whole uncle to avoid being adopted” abilities to fake the paperwork
Billy works at Whiz radio and uses Cap in civilian clothes working odd jobs to afford an apartment for the both of them, which is made a lot less expensive when Billy uses that “Powers of Shazam, summon before me (insert desired thing here)” spell he summoned a ping pong table with that one time to cover large furniture
Superman started giving Cap the silent treatment after he learned Conner has been all but legally adopted Kon
Mary is a cool aunt to Kon, both get along well and scrapbook together as a bonding activity
Freddy, understandably, freaks out and is all over Kon the first few months he’s part of the family. Asking about TTK, doing dumb stuff with their powers and arm wrestling to see whose power set is better, asking any and every question that comes to mind. Those two get in a lot of power based shenanigans and hang out a lot in and out of costume
The love language of the entire family is shared time and involves a ton of physical affection just because it’s good to remind people you love them with a hug, Kon is living his best life with all the love and validation he gets 24/7/365
Billy inadvertently catches up with and excels past his age groups study’s after learning what he can as Billy and trying to stay up to date with Kon’s school work to be the parent that can help their kid with homework and does
They go as eachother for Halloween one year, Kon takes a selfie and shows it to the rest of young justice forgetting they don’t know about Billy and when they ask he panics and says that’s his kid brother.
Which tumbles into Batman thinking Cap is CC Batson reincarnated with powers and trying to be a good dad and hero despite the whole death thing and Tim in the background trying not to laugh when he knows Bruce is wrong
(Stuff tied to comic canons)
Captain Marvel disappears for a solid 3 weeks after Kon dies, spending the whole time bouncing from afterlife to afterlife trying to look for him and asking the various death gods he comes across where Kon might have ended up. He doesn’t find him and has to grieve losing his family all over again
Covered every base he could think of looking for Kon’s soul, checked his family’s old faith, Hades because of the Greek ties, Kryptonian gods, a fist fight with Lady Blaze for information but couldn’t find anything. All he knows after that is that either Kon didn’t have a soul (which isn’t true and he refused to believe that), his ghost is roaming around and didn’t move on properly so he’s in a state of limbo, or he’s in some other afterlife and he has no idea what other ones to check for him in. Either way, Billy can’t find him and gets torn up that he lost some of his family all over again
The new 52 has Superboy Prime a prisoner held in the Monsterlands, a realm under the Council of Eternity’s (and Captain Marvel’s) control. Billy makes every day there a living hell for him for the next year until Kon is brought back, and after that all of Young Justice gets a free lifetime pass to pop by and beat him senseless for some Therapy™️. Tim and Cassie got a lot of hits in
When Kon does come back and gets back into the swing of his civilian life Billy worries a lot more and gets a little hover-y as a parent to Kon, Mary makes him earrings and small pieces of jewelry that has protection charms on them, and Freddy checks up on him between classes.
All in all, it’s a family of orphans all in various situations of oprhanhood being there for eachother no matter how weird life gets for them. Sometimes a family is your middle school aged dad, his best friend, his twin sister, a shape shifting talking tiger, and yourself
