Kiyotaka and Kiyondo are identical twins

Kiyondo was born two minutes earlier and makes a huge deal out of being the “older” twin

Goes by “Shiro” most of the time

Lived together until Kiyondo ran away from home at 14

Black market dealer, you need it, Shiro’s got it

Casual smoker and drinker, supplies Taka with it when things get really bad

Swears like he’d getting paid for each cuss word

Bleaches hair and eyebrows but his dark eyelashes give away his naturally black hair, claims it was for the style, it really was so Taka wouldn’t be blamed for any of the crimes he committed

Has remorse over leaving his twin to deal with their father alone

Call each other almost every day because they had such a hard time being apart before reconnecting; they care for each other deeply

Kiyondo has and will do all manner of illegal things for the sake of his younger twin

Jokingly passes the role of Taka’s protector to Mondo when the two meet

The Crazy Diamonds are big clients of his and Takemichi is a good friend, so Kiyondo approved of Mondo from the start

Does all his deals in clever disguises, claims that anyone who doesn’t is “a dumbass that deserves to get their ass killed”, so Mondo is very shocked by this revelation

au where Kiyotaka and Kiyondo are twins! What would Kiyondo's talent be? What would his relationship with Taka be like? What about Mondo and Chihiro?

This one took me a bit longer, since it was hard to pinpoint a talent. My first thought was Ultimate Politician, however he is a bit too extreme to really be an effective politician

However then I remembered that Kiyotaka is interested in farming so Ultimate Farmer might be a possibility for his twin. Though Daisaku has the same title and I like to be more original with my “OC”s (ignoring that Kiyondo is more or less a canon character and I’m simply giving him his own personality like with Twin!Izuru and Twin!Syo)

So my last thought was to make him the Ultimate Samurai since (according to what I read and also concluded) Kiyotaka is designed after the traditional imagine of a samurai and especially their values for moral and order

In short I would go with one of them, but I personally prefer the last one

To the question with his relationships:

I believe that the twins would have a weird relationship. They would be constantly at each other’s throat and often argue as both share the same high moral code but go at it completely differently. Taka, who believes moral and order can be achieved with compassionate leadership, believes his twin to be way too harsh, while Kiyondo, who believes moral and order is achieved through the use of an iron fist, finds his twin way too soft. But despite their different view on morals, they always have each other’s backs and would do anything for each other

Just like his twin, I believe that Kiyondo would be very close with Mondo and Chihiro and see them as his best friends/brothers. He would always hang out with them and push them to be the best they can be

YES, GO OFF! 100% EXACTLY! His 'Super High School Level' title would be along the lines of "Debate Team member", like how Taka's is "Public Morals Committee member" No one else would ever get a look in if they were both on the debate team - it'd be a linguistical massacre

I do mention in [this ask] the status of 'Ishida' in my non-despair AU, but I'll make it a little clearer:

In my main non-despair comics, 'Ishida' doesn't exist. Taka does however display some 'Ishida like tendencies' when he gets pushed to [the breaking point] but it's not an alter, just him loosing grip on his repressed temper

Kiyondo Ishida, the 'Ultimate Devil's Advocate' exists in a new, totally unplanned 'Parent Trap' AU, which is completely separate from my main comics.

In this vein, my [Angst comics] exist post-tragedy in the main timeline of the games, usually during/after Ultra Despair Girls and is also separate from the main non-despair AU.

(The [pride] comic takes place in none of the AUs incidentally just to be even more confusing, but exists as a standalone)

(Glad you liked!!) The tiny Ishimaru twins growing up together is such an adorable image! Ishida's social acumen would definitely diminish his trust in others, seeing how people treat them solely because of their names and gravitate toward bullying Taka, but it's ultimately Taka's boundless positive determination that stops Ishida from giving in to his resentment. They bolster each other up.

I can certainly see 'Ishida' being something of a nom de plume. Not only so his detractors can't get back to his maternal family, but also so he isn't incumbered by his paternal Ishimaru name. Ishida definitely thinks Taka's naive for his insistence on working his way toward his goals whilst still bearing such a burden, but he's also impressed by his dedication. (I tend to call Kiyotaka- Taka and Kiyondo - Ishida, just so it's more obvious at a glance who I mean, but Taka calls him 'Kiyo')

It's impressive that the chronically overworked father of two equally excessively enthusiastic identical twins still has enough mental energy tell them apart most of the time, let alone when they're actively trying to trick him: a testament to his observational skills. But damn right he'd be more than a little salty to know that Mondo can do it without even trying.

You got it right, no misinterpretations here! I figured, If they're identical twins, one of 'em has to dye their hair. Taka's always had his appearance judged in conjunction with his families reputation, and so thought perhaps dying his hair a more common colour for his Hope's Peak high school debut might make him look less intense and help make him more approachable. But Taka didn't factor his personality into why people might find him so extreme.

Taka would unlikely be willing to actively deceive his Hope's Peak classmates and friends - but he'd certainly see the benefit to having troublemakers letting down their guard thinking it's anarchistic Ishida they're talking to and not prefect Taka. Ishida, however, would have zero qualms messing around with the class, just as long as Taka doesn't catch him doing it. (also consider: Taka not running out but Ishida sequestering it)

Bless, Ishida is so used to having full control of a room, that he's so out of his depth when it comes to the vehement insistence of Taka's classmates to confine him to sick bay. Honestly having the whole of class 78 descend upon you would be terrifying. No wonder he gets Taka to defend him!

kinda random but i love it when people make aus where taka and ishida are twins but the question is: would they be really close siblings (like makoto and komaru are) or not? most of the time they hate eachother but idk if thats actually how'd they interact

honestly ive never considered that kind of au because kiyondo is still taka but a coping mechanism, though I guess i wouldnt consider their relationship to be good by any means. Kiyondo doesnt think too highly of himself when he was kiyotaka in canon, which is part of why he wants to call himself kiyondo to seperate himself from that identity

" GUYS I JUST FOUND OUT HOW TO MAKE A LIGHTER OUT OF A GUM WRAPPER AND A BATTERY- " Kiyondo came zooming in with the makeshift lighter in hand. Their dad chuckled and closed the door, leaving the three in the apartment alone. Kiyondo immediately threw the lighter to the side. " Dibs on tv. " " WHAT? NO- ITS MY TURN ON IT- " Ishida ran to their dads room, quickly snatching the tv remote. " no! I get it today! I wanna watch Heathers!- " Kiyomi and Taka tried to get it from Kiyondo but to no avail. Our dad will be gone till like 3 am so you can come over whenever. " "- ask her if Mondo can come too- " " Taka wants to know if bike wreck can come too. He can? Alright. I love you, see you soon. " she hung up the phone, smiling happily. The twins walked back to their dads room, seeing Kiyondo flipping through channels on the tv. " why do you call Mondo Bike Wreck? " Taka chuckled and was about to say something until Kiyomi cut him off. " 'cuz he was trying to impress Taka and ended up crashing! " she laughed, making Taka blush out of embarrassment. " yep that has Tumblr potential- I'm gonna interview y'all bout that later- " Kiyondo said, still looking for something to watch. " you're not giving that up are you?" " nope. " they both sighed and walked away to their room. The twins share a room, Kiyondo has a room to theirself, and their dad has a room to himself. Taka climbed up onto the top bunk of their bunk beds, listening to some music on his busted up phone. " don't have gay sex tonight. " Kiyomi said as she did some scrapbooking. Taka let out a long sigh and just ignored her.

About an hour later there was a knock on the door. Kiyondo quickly went to answer it. " KIYOMIIIII TAKAAAA YOUR GAY LOVERS ARE HERE " Kiyondo left the door open, grabbed a box of cheezits from the kitchen, and retreated back to the only room with a tv. Mondo and Mochi walked in, closing the door behind them. Taka and Kiyomi walked out of their room, smiling happily. " hey Mochi! I missed youuu it feels like its been forever sonce I last saw you! " Kiyomi hugged and kissed her girlfriend. Taka kinda stood there awkwardly before Mondo ruffled his here. " c'mere bro I haven't seen ya in a while. " Taka chuckled and hugged him, maybe for a little but too long as Kiyomi giggled and made a comment at how gay the two were. Taka quickly let go and looked down at the ground. " hey we're gonna take the room so you guys can either chill out here or kick Kiyondo out of dad's room so you guys can watch tv. " the girls left to the room, the door quickly shut and Girl In Red could be heard playing. Mondo laughed and looked at Taka. " so, your brother doesn't seem like they're gonna say anythin' and our sisters are distracted, we're basically alone.. " Mondo grabbed him by the hips, making him eep in surprise. " Mondo!- we can't do anything like that yet! We have to be fully alone and- you know it'd be weird to do /that/ in my house.. " he mumbled and Mondo nodded, quickly letting go. " wanna watch tv and cuddle then? " Taka smiled and nodded, quickly going to the room to make Kiyondo get out. " Really?! I haven't even had the tv for like.. 5 minutesssss- " "Kiyondo you've had it for 2 hours. You're going to rot your brain if you continue watching it. " Kiyondo groaned and walked out. " Fine! Just don't have gay sex in there. " Kiyondo slammed their door, the ICP poster on it falling off. " I don't remember Kiyondo bein' like that- " Mondo said as he slid the poster under the shut door before walking into the room Taka was already in. Kiyotaka just shrugged and laid on the bed. " they hit puberty. Now they think they're hot shit " he shrugged again. " holy shit. Taka- ya just said shit- " " I've said it before- and besides you know I only pretend to not like cuss words. " " true. " Mondo took his shoes off and got on the bed with his boyfriend.

Kiyomi and Mochi had made out all night till they were too tired to continue, Taka and Mondo cuddled and watched cheesy romance movies until they eventually passed out, and Ishida stayed awake till 3 am when their dad got home. Once Takaaki got home and saw everything he ended up sleeping on the couch and grounding Taka and Kiyomi in the morning, as well as giving Kiyondo 2 hours of tv time. " losers I told you I'd get the tv. Y'all ain't pog for not believing me. "

Oh no, now I'm on the Mastermind!Taka train and I can't quit. How do you think he arranged the killing game, since I don't think he'd have a secret twin to take his place while he manipulated the game from behind the scenes?

It could either be an Kiyotaka Kiyondo Twin AU where they switched places all the time to have breaks from being in the killing game, and Kiyondo was killed off during chapter 3

Or Taka went and got the Remnants or some of his followers into the building to control Monokuma on his command. Another possibility would be that Taka stole Alter Ego and had Izuru change it (just like he did for Junko, who created the Junko AI for her which later on was hidden inside of the Kuro- and Shirokuma) and the AI controlled everything for him (If you ever played the Zero Escape Series, compare it to Zero the Third)
