Here's my little side AU!
It's not a serious story like Dreams of the Stars, and just something of my own for funsies! I don't intend to make a series of this, more-so just little drawings or mini comics every now and then. DotS is my main AU and comic series still!
This is my SkyCotL Mago AU, and it's a mix of different types of AUs in one. Genderbend? You got it. Roleswap? Absolutely! There's also a personality swap between characters, and what-if scenarios all jammed into one Kirby AU set in a noir/spacepunk + 30s-60s swing era
It's a lot of what-ifs put into fruition while having SkyCotL on the side! It's wholesome, adorable, and really sweet! No serious angst in this (for now), but some heartfelt troubles and such. Absolutely a comfort AU LOL
Tumblr media
So here's the whole gang together! Not everyone's roles are swapped, I'll say— it's a mixed bag of this that and whatever because whoever said you had to stick to one particular thing in a swap-type AU HEHEHE
Quick look lore/info on each individual below:
Allow me to tell you a bit about each individual here, starting with our lead, Skye:
Tumblr media
The Magolor of this Magoverse flavored AU, this is Magoloria— a rising star from Floralia. She sings, she dances, she's quite the hit for tons of musical shows across the galaxy! Fashionable, fun, and cute as a button, Skye is a pure-hearted and humble gal. She's a young adult for her species!
Both a genderbend and a personality swap! Her personality is swapped with Joronia's (pre-Sectonia). She's as sweet as can be, and enjoys making herself feel pretty with a vast wardrobe of outfits and costumes. Her taste in fashion is impeccable.
The events of Return to Dreamland occur quite a bit differently for Skye, but I'll save that for another post! But the main premise is that following a decisive battle, hopelessly possessed by the Master Crown's evil, Skye and the shattered Master Crown are spirited away to the decaying Kingdom of Sky (hence her nickname), a land time forgot. The power-drained mage must travel across the realms to reclaim her lost powers, which fell into the hands of the sleeping Elder spirits.
Tumblr media
Here's Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee! Their roles remain unchanged, but their personalities have swapped! Bandee is confident and outgoing, whereas Kirby's a bit less confident, but aspires to be great— despite the fact that he's the most powerful of the group and constantly Popstar's savior. He and Bandee are besties, like brothers!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
King Malcom "Meta" Knytte, the presiding king of Dream Land! He's both role-swapped with Dedede, and his personality is swapped with Taranza. He's got the personality of a sopping wet kitten, but is low-key one of the most devastating warriors Dream Land has to offer. His Galaxia's design is more of the anime's than the games because good god I am not drawing the same Galaxia for two different AUs
King Malcolm is a great whistler and plays the piano, but has crippling stage fright. He owns a venue within his kingdom, which has been host to Skye's shows in recent years. He secretly mans backstage in disguise, so commoners won't recognize him (but it's somewhat obvious who he is). Rumor has it, he has an eye for one of the performers, and is secretly in love...
Tumblr media
Sir Dedede of Dream Land! He serves the Kingdom of Dream Land. As it's quite obvious, he's role-swapped and personality swapped with Meta Knight, though there's still a sliver of King Dedede's original ego/pride in this guy. He's aloof, something of a loner, and doesn't talk much, but he has a tendency to take aspiring warriors under his wing. His latest apprentice is Bandana Waddle Dee, who serves under King Malcolm too!
Tumblr media
And finally, the lovely couple— King Taranza and Queen Joronia! This is half a role-swap and a whole personality swap. Taranza's personality is swapped with Magolor, and Joronia has a partial of Dedede's personality, but stands alone on her own as well. Taranza also takes on Magolor's role as Manager of a theme park.
Though married for centuries, Taranza and Joronia are still in their honeymoon phase, madly in love and have profound crushes on each other!
The two have made their kingdom into an entertainment capital this side of the galaxy, bringing all walks of life onto Popstar to see a wide variety of shows! From circus acts, to live musical performances, and thrilling carnival rides and games, you name it, they got it!
This spicy pair act as parental figures for Skye, and took her under their wing when she was a lone, young girl selling papers to make do
AND THAT IS ALL FOR NOW! Just a basic look at everyone! I'll do more thorough info-posts later on 'em throughout the week 💜

✨ May I interest you in some Dedede and Meta Knight as childhood friends? ✨
(ID: Kirby series fanart of King Dedede and Meta Knight as children interacting in various cute and wholesome scenarios, such as coloring, cloud-watching, sparring with sticks, overindulging on sweets, protecting each other from bullies, and more. Design-wise, young Dedede is short and chubby with a smaller beak and three feathers sticking up from the top of his head. He wears a pair of red overalls with gold buttons on the straps and a pocket on the front with a white two-finger peace sign. Young Meta Knight is maskless and similar in appearance to Kirby, save for his yellow eyes, dark blue complexion, and a pair of tiny wings on his back. Additional headcanons and worldbuilding for this AU under the cut. END ID.)
UPDATE 03/11/24: Added a scar to Meta's head.
Started on 10/09/23, finished on 10/11/23. NOTE: This was originally posted on my deleted account on 10/11/23.
-This AU primarily takes place within the Kirby gameverse, the timeline starting decades before the events of KDL and eventually catching up to and following the main games’ canon (with some nods to side games and some unique events added here and there for character flavor). I’m trying to stay canon-compliant with it, but I’m also kinda making things up as I go and changing them as needed, so no promises I won’t just go completely off the rails the more I workshop things.
-Dedede and Meta are both somewhere between 7 and 11 years old here, though they first met a little earlier.
-Meta Knight is just called Meta for now - he won’t earn his title until after he starts his overstars military training with the GSA in his late teens.
-That hammer belongs to Dedede’s mama - a former pro-wrestler - and will someday be passed down to him (once he’s strong enough to actually pick it up).
-The Star Warriors/GSA inclusion in this AU is more for flavor than any major role. In this version, they are basically an intergalactic military group fighting various forces of evil across the universe, their reputation generally positive and well-known enough to reach even distant Popstar. Any known Star Warriors - Sir Arthur, Sir Dragato, Kit Cosmos, etc. - are either long since passed on or retired somewhere outside of the story. Upon learning of the GSA, Meta becomes enamored with their deeds and longs to be a knight himself (not yet aware of the hardships involved in becoming one).
-The kids like to spar for fun in their free time, but on occasion they get proper training from Dedede’s papa - a retired knight with connections to the GSA who’d settled in Dream Land with his wife just before they had their only son. Meta looks up to him with the same admiration he has for the Star Warriors. Dedede, however, doesn’t always see eye-to-eye with his well-meaning but rather strict father.
-Meta is quite shy around people he doesn’t know well. In overwhelming situations, he tends to either shut down and go non-verbal or quietly slip away to recoup. That said, he is much more expressive around those he trusts, listening eagerly and chatting far more than he would otherwise.
-Dedede has an impulsive streak and likes to make wild plans that tend to put him and his buddies in precarious situations (when he can be bothered to actually follow through with them, that is). Meta is often the first to point out the flaws in his plans (if Para Dee doesn’t do it first) but inevitably ends up tagging along anyway, his wariness easily overturned by his curiosity.
-Meta is sometimes bullied by the bigger kids in the village due to his strange appearance and timid nature. Dedede is quick to step in and defend him, usually getting into scraps in the process. It will be a little while before either of them gain the respect of their peers…

I was wondering who are your fancasts for your headcanon world?

Hiiii Quickie! @quickslvxrr
Am I right in guessing that your question was prompted by my reblog of your reblog of Charlie Hunnam's gif set? XD

Hi! I love your super paper Mario AU, could you tell us more about it?
Waaaah Im glad you like it 🥹 i havent got too much on it as of right now but I have plans to develop it more once ive finished my uni project !!
as right now though here are some of the details/character roles:
Mario - Kirby Luigi - Bandee Bowser - Dedede Peach - either Tiff/Fumu (from the anime) or potentially Adeleine I haven't decided on that yet, originally i went straight for Fumu but i got a comment saying Adeleine would be a great fit too !! it all depends on whether i wanna include anime characters or not
Count Bleck - Meta Knight Tippi/Timpani - Galacta Knight (its their love story bc metagala forever 🫶) Nastasia - Sailor Dee O'chunks - Mace Knight Mimi - Javelin (the other meta-knights would be present too but have less of a role in the story as those 3)
Dimentio - Marx ^^^ originally i was gonna have vul as dimentio as i wanted all of count bleck's minions to be the meta-knights, but it also makes sense for the one non meta-knight character to be the one to betray them and marx just fits perfectly thematically >:)
as a little extra Merlon would be Morpho Knight which is my explanation for why Galacta Knight appears as a pixl butterfly, Morpho having the butterfly motif is my justification for the sense around galacta being their own butterfly that isnt just the morpho butterfly :)
okay now with characters done with,, the general narrative is the same destroying the world after galacta/tippi is "gone" but more fit around the ancients and heroes of yore lore being the driving point for meta and galacta meeting and forming a bond which then leads to the events of the game:
Meta's family (the tribe of darkness) were responsible for trying to end the world before using the dark prophecy (to make their own world and have the power to govern it) - meta being younger at this time had no say in what happened, Nightmare is the head of the family and the one who attempting to end the world (but thats not too important as nightmare plays no role in the main story anyways its just context).
The heroes of Yore (which includes Galacta as the hero of heart going off of my own personal hcs) were the ones to stop the family and strike some sort of deal that prevented them from using the dark prognosticus, saying if they were to try such a thing again then the heroes would be less merciful and banish the entire tribe away, knowing the heroes were more than powerful enough to live up to their threat the nightmare gave in, and the dark prognosticus was hidden away by the heroes to prevent the dark prophecy from being initiated once again.
Years down the line (much like in the original story) meta ends up getting injured and galacta comes across him, nursing him back to health. Meta didnt know about the heroes of yore and their threat to the family so wasnt aware of who galacta was, vice verca with galacta they werent aware meta was part of the tribe of darkness at the time. the two bond and eventually fall in love <3
Eventually nightmare finds out about and becomes enraged about his son and the enemy in such a relationship. He scolds meta and tells him not to go near Galacta again as the heroes 'ruined everything for them' and 'befriending them will only ever bring trouble to their family' in attempt to protect his son from them. however, meta doesn't listen as he's head over heels in love with Galacta at this point. In retaliation, Nightmare uses all of his magic to produce a strong spell to seal Galacta away in a crystal, in a far off dimension so Galacta and meta cannot meet again, as a way of protecting Meta and stopping any trouble from coming to their family.
Like in the original, Meta becomes devastated but enraged by the loss of Galacta, thinking they're dead and not seeing worth in a world without them. finding minions through the meta-knights and tracking down the dark prognosticus, Meta decides to bring about the dark prophecy and spawn the void, starting the beginning of the end.
Morpho comes across the crystal with galacta sealed within it. The amount of power needed to unseal them is a lot, and so Morpho not being powerful enough by themself, inwardly uses galactas life force alongside their own magical ability to unseal them, though this results in galacta becoming very weak and in order to save them, Morpho turns them into a pixl, and like tippi in the original story galacta loses all memory of who they were before being a pixl.
--
thats the main stuff i have for now which when looking over it,, is quite a bit 😅 there are still some aspects i need to adjust/change, the main one being the formation of the chaos heart bc if i have tiff/adeleine in peach's role i am not having them get forcefully married to king dedede 💀 for obvious reasons
^^ my initial thoughts are just having the chaos heart form from meta's pain and emotions, we will see i will be developing and thinking about it more once i have the free time :)
Thank you for the ask and I hope this was interesting to read :00

I was doing some research on Kirby lore and I came across this image from Kirby Star Allies and for some reason I imagine them drawing while also talking about their trauma. Like:
Adeline (The human girl on the bottom left): Yeah so I heard from Ribbon that our fairy queen was possessed by dark matter and I’m honestly scared we let them run our planet while being possessed.
Daroach (The rat): You think that’s bad? I got possessed by one myself! I got possessed by this star thing called Dark Nebula after I opened a chest, and I feel like that knight guy knew about it!
Dark Meta Knight (The one in the mask): You mean Meta Knight? Yeah I think that’s something he would do. I literally managed to seal him in a mirror and broke it and he still got out! Plus my sword was just horrible cause it didn’t kill anyone it would just split them into four people, literally!
Ribbon: And who do we all blame for this?
All: Kirby!
Ribbon: No!
(I labeled them because I’m pretty sure my dad is going to see this) …I’m realizing I might’ve made a new AU where Adeline goes through a villain arc-

Here comes the boy! Kirby’s reference sheet is done!
Tumblr media
It’s him! The orb ever! …Well, they’re not exactly an orb in this AU, but you know.
All of his info and hex codes under the cut, as usual!
Full name: Kirby Argon
Aliases: ‘Pink Demon’, Puff
Species: Soul-Heart-Matter Astral
Planet of Origination: Popstar, technically; nobody knows where he was actually born
Age: 14
Height: 6’3”
Gender: Biologically both sexes; identifies as transmasculine agender
Pronouns: He/Him/His, They/Them/Theirs
Sexuality: Asexual, aromantic
S/O: None
Family: Ione Argon (adoptive father), Galacta Iriam (adoptive parent)
The greatest warrior Planet Popstar has ever seen, and protector of Gamble Galaxy since the day he landed in Dreamland.
Was adopted by Ione and Galacta at age 6, when they were legally and officially recognised as a citizen of Dreamland.
Undergoing training to become a Knight.
Landed on Popstar in a Starship as an infant; approximated to be about 2 months old upon arrival. It is unknown where he was actually born, but evidence suggests it was somewhere in Gamble Galaxy, presumably in the neighbouring Solar System to the Wonder System.
By far the kindest person on the planet, and capable of befriending quite literally anyone, they are well-known across Gamble Galaxy as a figure of purity and love; some even go as far as to define them as a Demigod of such things. While that isn’t necessarily true, he’s still an incredibly powerful Astral, wielding the notoriously rare Copy Magic as well as the ability to form Heart Spears at will.
They’ve lived in Dreamland for their entire life, save for the time they spent in their Starship after their initial birth. Throughout the years, he’s developed a fondness of food, sparring, and naps, and a love of friendships above all else.
Their weapon of choice is a sword and shield, taking after their adoptive father. Though, he also uses his Copy Abilities when necessary, or when he feels like it, and also goes without any ability or weapon on occasion, instead using Sparkling Stars to attack and incapacitate his opponents.

Kirby AU talk: "Memories Still At A Halt"
Susie stumbles upon an active clockwork star that then invites her to make any wish that it'll be more than willing to grant.
This was by complete accident. She didn't at all plan on activating a clockwork star. She was just taking a vacation on Planet Popstar, and when she ended her vacation and flew across the cosmos on her way home to the Haltmann Work Company's headquarters, this clockwork star seemingly comes out of nowhere.
Some planets definitely had their energy used to activate this comet somehow, but it's not known who did this, or if it was even anyone that intentionally did this because they wanted to make a wish.
Regardless, Susie would've never expected this to happen in a million years. She's completely astonished and bewildered by this occasion.
READY. ->
I WILL GRANT YOU ONE WISH... ->
OK. -> 3... 2... 1... GO! ->
Susie is initially a bit reluctant, but she then decides to make a wish.
At first, she's unsure what to have her wish be. She still takes a minute to fully fathom the situation at hand, as her bewilderment isn't very quick to fade.
But she eventually thinks it up. She's made the decision on what she wants her wish to be. She decides that it's at least worth a try.
"I wish for Max Profitt Haltmann to be brought back to life!"
Tumblr media
There's a huge amount of nervousness behind her wish. Deep down, she fears that it may go horribly wrong, but she still takes up the chance to finally be potentially able to fix things with her father.
The clockwork star grants her wish. It revives Max Haltmann.
At first, he's comatose. Susie gently grabs him with her mech's arms, and then carries him with her as she makes her way back home.
When he finally wakes up after they get home, he...
.... He still doesn't recognize her as his daughter.
This is why she was nervous while making that wish.
And it still makes her feel incredibly disheartened.
It also appears that he had no ghost in the afterlife and merely popped back into existence in his perspective after the clockwork star brought him back. And the last thing he remembers is Susie having stolen the Star Dream helmet from him when he tried to use it.
This comes off to an absolutely horrible start. After Max Haltmann processes the fact that he was dead and was then brought back, he then snaps at Susie and calls her an "insolent traitor" for getting him killed in the first place. She immediately swears that she never intended to kill him and she was just trying to get him to come to his senses, because Star Dream caused him to go off the deep end.
But he doesn't listen. In fact, he doubles down on his anger towards her. He complains about the "lack of infinite prosperity" because Susie reworked the HWC's practices and policies, as the company is no longer mechanizing planets. He accuses her of being a complete embarrassment that "ruined everything" about the HWC and "turned it into a shell of its former self". He's extremely harsh and rude to her.
Susie doesn't take it sitting down, though. Previously, she'd capitulate and yield to his demands, but now it's different. She now refuses to yield to him when he makes his vehement exclamations. She stands her ground and fights back against every single smear he flings.
The HWC can't even mechanize planets without Star Dream's presence anyways. Susie rebuilt the HWC without it. And she's refused to build another machine like Star Dream to make that possible again because she didn't want to deal with the risks that it'd bring. Plus, she's now friends with Kirby and wants to stay on his good side.
Initially, despite having internal anger at how rude and grating his voice is during his exclamations, she tries to be as calm as possible when she makes her counterarguments. But she eventually loses her cool as he then says something that's especially vile and disgusting.
.... He straight up calls her a wild savage at one point.
That right there caused her to lash out and attack. Immediately after he called her that, she then punches him in the face. There was more than enough strength behind that punch to knock him onto the floor.
Susie asserts her power over him as she's the current CEO of the company, and she has absolutely no interest in giving that up. It's so much easier for her to fight back now as he's not in a position of power to mistreat her. And he can't take back the CEO position because every employee in the company thinks Susie is a much better boss than he ever was. He will need to bend to her now.
Fortunately, things get better after that atrocity of an introduction. Max Haltmann eventually gets some sense knocked into him as Susie is able to convince him that Star Dream was a bad influence and that the company is in a much better place with her practices instead of the ones that were in place from before. He apologizes for being so vile to her as he comes to accepts the HWC's new practices.
... But he's still entirely unable to recognize her as his daughter.
This continues to distress Susie on the inside. It reopens old wounds for her. But at least she doesn't have to steal a supercomputer for him to get him to look her way. At least it's easier to reign him in.
At one point, she tries to explain everything to him. About how he's supposed to be her father, that she was trapped in Another Dimension for a long time and eventually came back, and she deduces that Star Dream tampered with his memories somehow. That the machine somehow caused him to forget about her. She doesn't know that he was trying to use Star Dream to bring her back, however.
How does Max Haltmann react to the revelations? It's... sadly not what Susie was hoping for. He's initially in utter disbelief. Although he does slowly come to understand that it "might" be the truth, but he's still incredibly reluctant to treat her like his daughter because he still legitimately can't recall ever having a daughter at all to begin with.
It's clear that he still doesn't actively remember.
He does become a lot nicer to her after the revelation, but she's still unsatisfied. Especially when he's still not willing to accept hugs from her yet. He awkwardly pats her back to try to comfort her when he catches her being sad, but he clearly still doesn't act like her dad yet.
When Susie left Another Dimension, all she wanted was a hug from her dad while reuniting with him. She still doesn't get that even now. It makes her feel heartbroken. And it also makes her feel awful for him as she's increasingly convinced that Star Dream stole his memories. Even as he gradually becomes nicer, he's still stubborn, easily confused, clumsy and easy to lose focus. It saddens her to see it.
She takes care of him. She's his caretaker. She gets her employees to work on necessary treatments for his health problems. With how much he's struggling, she's pretty much having to babysit him. Imagine a young woman babysitting her own father. That's lowkey what's happening here.
She puts a lot of time and effort in taking care of him.
But he just... seemingly doesn't reach the line. They're able to have a good relationship, but he's still unwilling every time she tries to lightly gesture for a hug. He seems to view her more as a friend much younger than him than as his daughter. That's... not what she wants.
Susie tries to keep it to a minimum around Max, but she's internally depressed over this. She finds herself weeping at times when she's alone, worrying he's never going to remember her as his daughter.
She vents this to her friends: Taranza, Magolor, Kirby and the Mage Sisters. Her father is back and alive again, and she's still having to get hugs from her friends because her senile father is still not willing to accept hugs from her. It makes her friends really sad, especially when they meet her dad in person and see it for themselves that he's still not acting like a real dad to her. Magolor was the first one to see her dad brought back when he visited the HWC's headquarters by getting there with the Lor Starcutter. He was initially excited to meet Haltmann and humorously even try to insert himself as a nephew figure, but that fell apart after he saw how the man acted.
The Mage Sisters, alongside their patriarch Hyness, especially feel terrible at this. Even when Hyness was in his bad phase of madness, he never forgot his daughters entirely. It made him feel bad for Susie for still not being recognized by her dad, and it also made him feel bad for Haltmann as he agrees with Susie's claim that Star Dream wiped his memories, as he was able to deduce that's what happened.
Susie's friends try to comfort her and tell her that at least her dad is still alive again, and they're proud of her for at least being able to make amends with him at all even if he can't wholly remember. They all admit they can't be sure whether or not he'll ever come around to truly remember, but they tell her to not give up. She doesn't give up, although it's still internally hurting for her.
There are moments where it seems like he's so close to finally remembering, with the more recent kind-hearted interactions that the two have. But sadly, he just doesn't ever seem to get there. She is at least happy to see him being nice to her and that they're able to get along perfectly well, but it's just... not enough. She wants more.
It's probably greedy on her behalf, but he's supposed to be her father.
Is it possible him to ever remember her? He does come to "understand" that he "might" be, but he doesn't take it too seriously. At least for a long while. It still truthfully doesn't sit that right for him.
-----
Thank you so much if you've taken the time to read the synopsis for this AU! This is yet another Kirby AU that I've had in my mind for a bit.
It's also funny because... don't I literally have another AU where Max Haltmann gets brought back? That I literally wrote into fanfiction? "Lost Miracles That Finally Become"? Indeed! But that one's completely different. In that one, Haltmann gets brought back alongside Sectonia, as they both come back in their right minds.
But in this AU, it's different. Haltmann is brought back not in his right mind. At the beginning, his mindset is exactly the same as he was at the time of his death in Planet Robobot, and while he does become nicer to Susie over time, he doesn't ever truly get to remember her as his daughter like she hoped, much to her grief and disheartenment.
I'd like to point out that I normally headcanon Haltmann having a ghost, despite seemingly having been erased from existence. I just like having that as a headcanon so he can feel grief and misery by watching over Susie without being able to interact with her. But this AU fully goes through with the "erased from existence" thing, as it mentions that he had no ghost and just popped back into existence after the clockwork star grants Susie's wish to bring him back to life.
Morpho Knight let the whole thing slide. At some point, it shows up to Susie and tells her that she was lucky to bring Haltmann back, because he wasn't a soul in the afterlife beforehand. Otherwise, Morpho Knight would've stopped her from bringing Haltmann back.
Allow me to link another Kirby AU that I made a synopsis for; Dark Stormy Matters, a story where Kracko goes off the deep end and makes a wish to a clockwork star to revive Dark Matter and then fuses with it to cause wide-scale destruction. Unfortunately, it seems like that post is not viewable in its respective tags when clicking on them and looking at the recent ones! I don't understand that at all. That's partially why I'm linking it here so it hopefully gets seen more.
But anyways... thank you for reading! See you all later.

@desultory-novice this probably got lost in the notification sauce, so here it is again: the 1980s Girl's Cartoon AU!
The Kirby games are fan continuation/fan reboot of Kirby's Starry Tales, itself a spinoff of The Waddles; Kirby made his first appearance in the second episode of the three-parter, Waddle in the Wasteland. The episodes involve Waddle Town suffering a dreadful famine. Bandana Dee leads a small party of Waddle Dees across the Wild Wastes in search of the Mystical Soil that can grow any crop, and withstand any weather; their journey brings them to the oasis-garden of Kirby, keeper of the Soil. After the three-parter's conclusion, Kirby made regular appearances in the show, and gained enough popularity to get his own show.
(Incidentally, Kirby is white here, as my cute little nod to the NA Kirby's Dream Land box art! 😊)
The Waddles made their first appearance in the hour-long TV special, The Meta-Knights in the Cursed Country. On the orders of the Queen of Gibbous (a character made specifically for the show), Sir Meta and his misfit crew seek out the Rainbow Blade in order to cast the Dark Knight down. Sailor Dee knows of the Blade (specifically that it's shattered into seven pieces) and suggests they go to her old home (the eponymous Cursed Country) and ask the Wise Elder Dee for the yellow piece. Sailor's people made sporadic appearances for the remainder of the show's run.
And finally, the show all these other shows spun off from: Adeleine the Magic Painter! The first episode (a two-parter, natch), Paint Me a Problem, has the eponymous Adeleine (wearing regular 80s girl street clothes) worrying about what to make for an upcoming art fair. While on her way to get art supplies, she finds an unusual Paintbrush that sends her to the magical world of Pop Star, besieged by the Wizard of Nightmares. With the aid of some unusual characters, she is able to kill the Wizard in an explosion of colors (you could get away with straight up killing baddies in 80s girl's cartoons as long as it's all sparkly and stuff)!
Every subsequent episode has Adeleine entering the portal picture in her room to take her to a random place on Pop Star, helping whoever needs help and defeating various villains of the week; the iconic look she sports from DL3 onward actually originates from the Super Art Studio Adeleine playset. Sir Meta and his misfit Knights made their first appearance in the 20th episode, Never Meta Knight I Didn't Like.
Side note: Magolor makes sporadic appearances in all of these cartoons as the owner of the traveling carnival, Merry Magoland. His design is more explicitly "wizard kitty cat" here, and has vibes I can only describe as "a mix of carnival barker and used car salesman," so of course he steals the show 😊.
(Of course I had to include Magolor; he is everywhere, and also it would be super funny if this is the exact same Magolor from the games. Think of all the stories he could tell!)
My only problem now is figuring out how everyone else can fit in these cartoons. Maybe you have some ideas?

Ravagers of the Stars
Did you guys know that Ado-ption isn’t the Kirby AU I’ve made that I’m the most proud of or is the most developed? That’s cause it’s this one. RotS has existed in my head since May 2023
Ravagers of the Stars is fairly dark, especially for a Kirby AU. Don’t worry, there’s no art (yet, I have someone who can hopefully do refs for the characters), but there’s quite a bit of dark stuff in the text here. Also heavy injury/gore described in not a lot of detail
After the events of Star Allies, something… happened to Kirby. He turned into some evil force much like 0², and sealed himself in a pocket dimension only accessible by one gate in the fields of Dream Land. His friends rushed to save him from whatever had happened, but it was too late. After Meta Knight and Dedede left and never came back, Bandana Dee went to look for them, and then he never came back. Everyone realized what was happening, but that didn’t stop others from going in. Eventually, Magolor, Taranza, and Susie were the only ones left, after four years of this. The planet was mostly peaceful, aside from lacking those who had vanished.
Until a stranger named Nightmare Knight showed up. They looked nothing like the other knights- they were tall, with long limbs. They had deep blue armor with specks like stars, and a large cape that turned into wings. They had a mask over their presumable dragon-like head based off the shape of it, and sharp clawed hands and feet going off their sharp clawed gloves and boots. They wielded a harpoon with an edge made of a crystal shard- one of the few things able to kill beings of void and dark matter fully. They ordered the three surviving friends of Kirby to join them on their quest of preparing a ship to enter the pocket dimension and rid the world of the only evil left.
They agreed, despite thinking this stranger was just a little bit weird, and travelled around, fixing up the Lor Starcutter into a much, much bigger and grander ship. With Susie’s help and the things they found around that Nightmare Knight was looking for, they created the Lor Haltmann, named by Susie. As they prepared to venture through the portal and confront Kirby, Nightmare Knight changed their armor to be more relaxed. Their chestplate and leggings were gone, replaced with a blue t shirt with a golden four pointed star on it, and blue shorts. They had the same gloves and boots, but the bottom half their helmet was gone. Only the top half of the dragon-like head remained, and the black eyes with piercing red pupils were gone. And visible underneath it, was…
Adeleine. An older, tougher Adeleine. She explained everything to her friends.
When she had gone to try and bring Kirby back, she was severely injured and dying. But it hadn’t been an instant death like everyone else’s. Something about her human spirit kept her alive just long enough. She crawled out of the tunnel to the pocket dimension and was seen by Ribbon, who rushed her to Ripple Star. Apparently the water beneath the Great Crystal had healing properties, and she was able to not die, but her injuries didn’t heal. Her right eye can’t fully open anymore, and has a large scar over it. And she has a massive gash across her stomach. Kept covered by bandages because it’s a miracle she can even walk with how badly it’s damaged. Her innards aren’t exactly… in, anymore. She was sent to Neo Star to hide and recover, and while down in the depths, found a suit of armor and a large harpoon. She took them, and trained for the four years she was gone. She developed a hatred against all spawn of void, and wanted them dead for what they had done to her.
Everyone was shocked, but they understood her. They went in, and Nightmare Knight, as she now hates her name because it’s associated with her former weakness, killed what was formerly Kirby without hesitation. The pocket dimension collapsed as they rode out, and they were heralded as heroes. Magolor made everyone matching clothes based off Nightmare Knight’s armor, and Taranza discovered something the Lor Haltmann could do- travel between timelines.
The Ravagers of the Stars travel from timeline to timeline, helping out the inhabitants of them, and usually avoiding the versions of themselves in them as best as possible. Nightmare Knight takes care of any dark matter creatures, and the other three help out with smaller things. They earned their group name from their ability to go anywhere, and they destruction a certain member often leaves in their wake.
Upon returning home once, N-Mare (which is Nightmare Knight’s nickname because her friends get tired of saying her full name) tried to talk to Ribbon again, who attempted to kill her because she killed Kirby. Ribbon fled after N-Mare was completed unfazed after being stabbed. They were going to chase her down, but N-Mare kept her friends from doing that. After some more inter-timeline traveling, they went back home and ended up in the Forgotten Land.
The Forgotten Land was much different for the Ravagers. N-Mare was wanted dead, because unlike everyone in the other timelines, the beasts could tell she was human under her armor. Elfilin wanted nothing to do with them, and was captured much more easily. Elfilis was defeated by the Ravagers, and they returned home.
They now mostly live on the Lor Haltmann, venturing from place to place.
So! That’s Ravagers of the Stars. There’s a lot more I didn’t mention here because then this would’ve been… unbelievably long. This is by far my most developed Kirby AU. Or just… AU in general
(Ok well maybe that’s actually Deltarune: TDO but shhh)
I have had the idea for this for an insanely long time as I said, and I’ve posted about it in a different post before but it was alongside other stuff, so here it is by itself
Hopefully I’ll have drawings for all the Ravagers soon, because N-Mare is just as cool looking as she sounds
And yes, different timelines are just AUs! Although they’ve never been to an actual other AU before, mostly just random “different scenarios” I made up as I went when decided stuff they’ve done. But, theoretically, they could go to any AU. Most of them would not end well just because… Nightmare Knight. Like, Ado-ption? MAN that would be absolutely horrible
But that’s all on this… for now. Expect to see more of them, especially when I get the refs of them
Feel free to ask questions or whatever!

Silly headcanon/AU traits writing time because I have writers block. Main four edition!
Kirby
He has a very sunshine-like personality. (In my AU, he technically is an adult, but I say that 20 is still really young for the silly orb species?) Despite the fact he may seem very unpredictable and manic, he can actually be quite smart! He is usually the most optimistic of of all of the four, and prefers to keep any possible faith he can in a plan. He is actually quite skilled at baking, making excellent lemon poppyseed muffins and strawberry shortcake! Although he loves baking, he also enjoys frolicking in the forest with Bandana Dee. He and Bandana actually have a collection of dried and preserved leaves and flowers, and they love to analyse the little bits of the plants. He often forgets that sometimes he should ask for help, instead of just purely acting to help others. Even though they are not related, he often considers Meta Knight to be the closest thing he has to a brother. This little pink orb is a huge fan of hugs and adventures! (In short: his MBTI type in my AU is apparently ENFP).
Bandana Dee
He is very shy, but secretly has a brave heart. Ever since he was a young waddle dee, he always had a love for plants and nature. Besides being a loyal servant to King Dedede, he owns an apple orchard, where he will sell the apples he grows and the foods he has made out of them. (Just like Kirby, he is around 20.) As a child, he was separated from his family by a large, destructive hurricane, where he is then taken in my the royal family. Dedede has always been his role model and father figure, even in tough times. To an extent, he is the "therapist friend", always kind and docile to his beloved friends. He deeply struggles with anxiety and paranoia, usually being the pessimist of the group. He always first sees the faults in a plan, until someone can convince him, of course. He rather enjoys writing and editing paperwork and such. (In short: his MBTI type in my AU is seemingly INFJ).
Meta Knight
Being the quiet mastermind, he seems to have a solution for every possible scenario. On the outside, he appears clinical and no-nonsense, but he truly is passionate for what he believes in. Usually he is seen working or training, but occasionally takes time to read or stargaze. For as long as he could remember, he always adored the stars and astronomy, slowly mapping the sky's plethora of lights and planets. (Contrary to Dedede's beliefs, Meta Knight is only 28.) Some seem to think he is quite self centered, however, this is a facade. Often, he feels incapable of acting on his own desires or interest, seeming as if he has no motivation to act if the only person it will pay off is himself. He thinks predominantly in statistics and numbers, usually being the risk-calculating realist of the group. He has a noticeable dislike for speaking, remaining silent whenever he can. He swore to protect Kirby as if he were his younger brother. (In short, his MBTI type in my AU seems to be INTJ).
King Dedede
The now gentle, once tyrannical king, Dedede is always a warm presence. Although he attempts to act stupid, he is actually highly intelligent! Even though he is the king, he has a generally informal and familiar way of addressing those he cares about. Perhaps he isn't as chaotic as Kirby, but he always brings energy to the table. A large part of his personality is that he can put up a good debate, but he can also be a comforting person. He chooses to not take his life too seriously, whilst also taking care of his beloved kingdom. At times, he is very optimistic and has the loudest opinion out of all of the group. He has a notably strange fondness for interior design. Dedede would do anything for his waddle dees, but he shows an even greater deal of compassion for Bandana. (In short: his MBTI type according to my AU would actually be ENTP, but that's hard to get across).

Thank you for answering my questions! It’s alright for not getting to them sooner, you’re not obligated to answer them, and I got the feeling that everything keeps trying to stop you from accessing your Tumblr haha.
You’ve clearly put a lot of thought and effort into building your world of Dracos, and I’m curious to know how dragons like Landia and Ice Dragon would fit in, if at all, since your world leans more towards anime lore than games. (Sorry if this question isn’t welcome, I’m going through a Kirby dragon world building phase of my own and want to poke the brain of another dragon enjoyer)
You would be right, haha! My devices and usual situations sometimes prevent me from checking Tumblr xD
I'm glad you asked! :D our AU draws a lot from the anime while fusing quite a bit of the games in. So I'll happily explain the wider lore of dragons! Dragons are some of the mightiest of beasts found in the Starlight Dreamers and Dreams of the Stars universe, and are often respected or feared. So any beast that falls under the species of "dragon" is treated with caution or high regard.
There's various kinds of dragons that fall under certain categories. I'll explain the category that ice dragons fall under first.
There are dragons that are demon beasts and/or monsters, which are dragons made or commonly used by Nightmare. Ice Dragons fall under the demon beast/monster category. Demon beasts are creatures that are usually made of negative energy, so most dragon species of this category are usually not nice! But you can come across some that are raised by good people or even Star Warriors as companions of war. Overall, ice dragons are neutral unless raised good or bad! A common name also used for demon beasts are Nightmares since they're often made of corrupted Dream Matter. So an ice dragon qualifies as a Nightmare Dragon. There are many other types of Nightmare Dragons as well, some worse and more evil than others!
Dracos fall under a category that is similar to demon beasts, interestingly enough! Except they're positive magical creatures made of Starlight and untainted Dream Matter. So holy/star beasts, I guess? Creatures that fall under these categories are called Dreams– a concept that belongs to my sister @blazingstaro (check out her stuff for more on the various species of Dreams outside of the Dracos!). So in contrast to Nightmare Dragons, Dracos are Dream Dragons. They're capable of traveling the stars and traversing the realm of sleep when they rest, as well as developing Super Abilities as they grow old. Dracos were born to combat Nightmares and were born in the image of their ancestors, the Origin Dragons, which I will explain after this. In their birth to the galaxy, they evolved and improve on the weaknesses that led to the near extinction of Origin Dragons to have better chances of survival. Because of their similar make to demon beasts, corrupted Dracos become Dracomares. So, a Draco CAN become a Nightmare Dragon.
Origin Dragons are the ancestors of which Dream and Nightmare Dragons were made. Origin Dragons are primal creatures of Dream Matter that were generally neutral depending on the individual. Unlike their Draco descendents, they couldn't traverse space, but were masters of elemental manipulation, such as mastery to cause storms, breathe fire, move earth, and other elemental powers! Landia in particular has lore significance. Eons ago, Landia ruled as kings over a dragon city long before the Dracos or Nightmares existed. The four siblings guarded the Master Crown until the day would come that it would be gifted to a worthy ruler who would lead the Champions of Starlight; wielders of four sacred blades made by the elements and blessing of four powerful dragons of that time (two of those blades being Galaxia and Galacta's lance). The Crown was stolen though, leading to it's misuse and eventual corruption. Landia was lost in an unknown space in that battle and the world was torn asunder, starting the decline of the Origin Dragon's near extinction. As seen, eventually the crown does end up back in their possession, but they guard it for the purpose of it not falling in the wrong hands until Magolor stumbles upon them.
Here's some art examples!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Landia, when split into four dragons, are actually kinda small xD they become large when fused! The sketch of one of the Landia dragons between two others is another Origin Dragon on the left (Athrodite) and a Draco on the right (Branwen. She's young here, but she grows up to be around Athrodite's size).
--
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here are examples of demon beast dragons/nightmare dragons. On the left is my stylization of Ice Dragons! On the right is one of the fiercest of nightmare dragons; the silver dragon, based on the dragons sometimes seen in the anime. This one in particular is my character, Cynder. Silver dragons breathe fire and are quite large, easily rivaling Origin Dragons in size! They don't speak but understand speech, so are highly more intelligent than they give off!
--
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some colored Origin Dragons! On the left is Azymondias, on the right is Elyna. She's the only dragon of her era to have manipulation over the element of space and Starlight and is rather important to the backbone of my story lore. She is thought to be the base of how Dracos work modernly! Azymondias is a storm dragon, and aided in raising and teaching Branwen. Both of these characters are no longer around.
--
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And lastly, examples of powerful Dracos and Dracomares! The left is the Alpha Queen Draco. On the right Firush, a Dracomare. Dracos come in various body types that are close to Origin Dragons!
Dragons are an important part of the lore of our stories! Dream and Nightmare Dragons are what came after Origin Dragons. The four dragons that aided in the creation of the sacred blades are an interesting topic I plan to talk about at some point. But I hope you enjoyed this dive into our world's lore on dragons! The Dracos and Origin Dragons are very important in my stories, so I'll be sharing more about some of the those characters as my stories go on ^w^

I'm bored lol.
So I've decided to entertain myself by writing a long list of everything our AU's all have in common. I might add some other stuff that most of them have in common and specify which of them don't lol.
@violetisderp , you should make one too if you want, cover anything I've missed. 👍
1. Galacta Knight adopted Meta. Aside from the Crossing The Stars, Across The Galaxy, and BabyGala AU's.
2. Meta Knight has history with Nightmare. He wasn't created by him but he was infused with dark magic at a young age.
3. Garlude and Jecra are alive by the end of the story (although when they're brought back differs for the most part. We're borrowing the stasis idea from TheWinterRaven but it's done differently).
4. Meta Knight is blind and his wings were torn out. This was done by Nightmare at a certain point. The Demensional Cape acts as a prosthetic.
5. Galacta calls Meta 'Tiny' in every AU he's adopted him in. It's rare but its a nickname he was given when he was smol.
6. Meta Knight acts as a parental figure to Tiff, Tuff, Kirby (of course), Sailor Dee, Bandana Dee, any other Waddle Dees, Sirica, and Knuckle Joe. He'll only admit to being Kirby's dad (however he will say random things like 'don't yell at my child' occasionally referring to the others. He'll immediately deny it tho).
7. Morpho Knight acts as a big brother to Kirby. He watches over him and will hang out with him in dreams.
8. Meta Knight, Arthur, Lancelot, Dragato, and Falspar (isn't it funny how I only use the Japanese name for Lancelot?) see each other as brothers. They all grew up in the GSA (in the CTS AU, Gala is included in this group, although he's closest to Meta).
9. Meta Knight is brought to the GSA by Galacta. In the universes where Gala didn't adopt him, Uther found him and brought him there (in the CTS AU, Meta found Gala on a random planet before Uther found both of them, which is why they're so close to each other).
10. Uther brought Falspar, Lancelot, and Dragato to the GSA when they were infants. They were found on random planets. He did this because Nightmare was throwing a temper tantrum and trying to wipe out their species. Isn't that funny? Kirby killed him anyway lmao.
11. Reproduction doesn't exist. If a person wants a child, one will simply materialize. This means most species don't feel the need to have partners (puffballs included) unless it's for a romantic purpose (like Tiff's parents). Some species (cappies) are required to have a partner to materialize a kid, though. This is entirely because it makes it possible for Arthur to be Uther's biological kid without us having to worry about t h e p r o c e s s .
12. Meta Knight finds Kine's existence hilarious but also doesn't want his kids dating (none of them have a problem with this, but Tiff likes to tease him about it). He's that dad that would say 'no, you don't have a crush on them and you never will.'

What exactly is the Wish Library AU?
That is a fantastic question! ^^; Unfortunately, the realistic answer is that it is merely a short-lived Kirby gijinka design series that I never even finished, let alone developed into a full-fledged alternate universe concept.
HOWEVER, the ideal answer (i.e. what I intended for it) is actually quite interesting. I made some notes back then:
"The Star Hunters are tracking down Novas to use them for energy...even though each one is an invaluable archive of all the hopes and dreams of people across the universe."
^Basic plot synopsis. The Star Hunters are Susie and Magolor, if you remember from this pic-- Susie is basically a cross between Hatsune Miku and an Exxon-Mobil exec, and Magolor is her 'consultant', who uses his mystical knowledge to help her find and capture the Galactic Novas, so she can mulch them down into raw energy.
"Without libraries to run, the Proprietors are useless, so they just reprogram and enslave them to do grunt work."
A Proprietor is a mechanical archivist, like this one here. ^^ Every Galactic Nova contains one, and its their job to catalog all information related to the wishes it's granted, supervise any beings living inside of it, and act as a concierge for anyone who wants to make a wish.
The Proprietor's energy and consciousness is linked to the Galactic Nova itself; without it they essentially die. The Star Hunters then take them and turn them into mindless android servants, like this one:
Tumblr media
Excuse the very old unfinished sketch. ^^;
"Fortunately, our Proprietor has some friends to stop that from happening: Marx, the assistant librarian; and Galacta Knight, the 'nonpareil', the incarnation of all the challenges people wish to overcome."
^The other side of the plot. Marx is just a random child who's taken up residence in Galactic Nova #213 (probably because he has no other home, or some sad backstory along those lines) and spends his days helping its absentminded Proprietor to run things.
When they're finally found by the Star Hunters and all hope seems lost, he decides to take a chance and awaken the Nonpareil, an entity kept inside the Library to answer to the wishes of people like Meta Knight, basically-- anyone who wants to fight against the most powerful opponent possible.
I don't remember the specific consequences of this decision (and I'm now out of notes) but if I were to write it today...I'd say that Marx never actually made a wish, despite living in the Galactic Nova for so many years, until he was forced to do so to ask for Galacta Knight's protection. And now he has to make the most of his new somewhat-unsettling ancient guardian. ^^; And GK has never had "wards" before, or the freedom of movement that this new wish allows...lots of opportunity for character growth and development and all that jazz~

it was a bright, sunny day, and gooey was gooing about (as you do), when he came across an odd flower in a field on Planet Popstar. something in him told him to use his mock matter abilities on the flower every day, and eventually...
Tumblr media
So basically, this is my Dark Matter revival au!
Heart, Soul, Dream, and Dark Matter all have to exist for the galaxy to function, but when Kirby destroyed Dark Star, it threw off that balance. So, some of the dark matter combined and fell to popstar, regrowing themselves. Gooey found one of these combinations, known as a Mock Matter Flower, and used his mock matter abilities on it to awaken it.
Dark Matter isn't inherently bad, it's the way they were ruled.
Now, with Gooey figuring out his Mock Matter abilities, he can revive the species, and bring balance to the Matters, and the new Dark Matter can live peacefully with a second chance :)

The Enemy
The group hurried into the mess of the throne room, gathering around the throne as Meta Knight sat and pressed the buttons to summon the screen from the floor. He drummed his fingers on the opposite armrest as he waited for the machinery to stop whirring and moving.
A few presses later brought the screen to life. It was a messy spattering of static, a loud hiss escaping the speakers as the flickering lights filled the screen. Meta frowned, flipping the channels until something interrupted the static. The group held their breath. The new images on screen causing them some pause and concern.
The screen had a title card on it. Static and still. A ring of stars with a set of ominous hands cradling the bottom of it. The banner read a very simple message.
“Stay Tuned, We’ll be right Back”
Lining the ring of stars was a repeating string of text.
“— Nightmare Enterprises — NME —“
“All of our other signals are jammed… this one must be for that satellite Dedede mentioned.” Meta Knight mused aloud so the other’s had insight into his thought process. Magolor gave a look of concern, his ear flicking as he turned his gaze aside. Meta attempted to search for any other clear channels, but the screen wouldn’t change, remaining on the title card no matter what. The channel number increased and the screen remained.
“We only got static on Lor. I haven’t seen this.” Magolor shook his head.
Meta nodded absently, trying the other buttons now. Volume? Nothing. Menu? Nothing. Call? Nothing. Everything he tried led nowhere. He couldn’t even get it to turn off.
“Great, well now it’s broken.” Dark huffed. He grimaced and folded his arms, but his levity went unheard. A slight tension pricked at the trio. Marx danced off on his own nearby, unfazed by the ordeal. Finally, the screen flickered and the title card dropped. A face familiar to Meta took over, glasses glinting as he looked down at them, aware of their presence. Dark and Magolor stiffened, looking to Meta for direction.
“Well, well! I’m surprised to see your friendly face.” The salesman chimed as charismatic as ever.
“I’m surprised you never checked in on your best customer.” Meta Knight said. He used the word “best” loosely. If anything, NME was probably awaiting a loan payment from the king. All the more reason to reach out to them. He wasn’t forgetting their refusal to answer them earlier before the evacuation.
“Speaking of, where is triple D?” He mimed looking through and around the edges of the screen. Meta narrowed his eyes.
“… out. How are you bypassing the signal interference?”
“How? Well, we’ll call that a trade secret.”
Magolor squinted as well and tapped Meta’s shoulder before leaving the throne room. He had a plan and Meta understood what he needed from him. The salesman watched as Magolor wandered off, cocking a brow over his glasses.
“Trade secret? What the hell are you talking about?” Dark gestured to the screen, “who is this dork?”
“Just a humble salesman,” he answered, a saccharin grin stretching across his lips, “you got quite the company, MK, what’s the occasion?”
Meta hesitated to answer truthfully. He was never one to trust NME to begin with, and this situation was too suspicious for him to divulge too much information to the salesman.
"Hmph, living under a rock, huh?" Dark interjected, his tone crass and impatient.
"Dark," Meta shot him a stern look, then turned back to the screen, clearing his throat. He knew he needed to provide some explanation to keep the conversation going, especially since Magolor needed the line open. "Popstar was attacked," he began cautiously. "They're here as reinforcements. You’re the only active signal right now, do you happen to know anything about someone called Arcta Knight?"
"Arcta Knight? Hm, that's not a name I'm familiar with," the salesman replied, his tone casual yet calculating. "Odd that you yourself wouldn't know of this Knight. I'd assume you know all Star Warriors." He shrugged, offering an insincere sympathetic grin. Meta tensed, his grip on the armrest of the throne tightening at the salesman's words.
"She's not a legitimate Star Warrior. She doesn't deserve the title of 'Knight,'" Meta growled, his voice low and controlled as he fought to maintain his composure. "But she's stronger than anticipated, and we need all the information we can get."
"Maybe a description will jog my memory," the salesman suggested, leaning back slightly in his chair, his gaze fixed intently on Meta Knight.
"Perhaps," Meta replied, his voice clipped. "She wore a harlequin mask with diamonds painted on it. Gold armor, a pale cape. White feather wings and violet eyes. Adept at ice magic." He described Arcta Knight as best he could, his expression grim as he recalled their encounters. A sting in his torso reminded him of her strange demeanor.
The salesman hummed in thought, tapping his chin and rolling his head from one side to the other, drawing out the tension with his deliberate movements. He took his sweet time considering Meta Knight's description, his gaze calculating as he weighed his next words carefully.
"That does sound familiar!" the salesman chimed in, his tone dripping with false enthusiasm. "You're a lucky bunch! You'll be our first esteemed customers to witness the might of our brand new monster. It called itself Arcta Knight, but it'll be in our catalog under AKU-V. Good luck! We have full faith that our product is unmatched."
"What!?" Meta Knight exclaimed, his voice sharp with disbelief. Dark stiffened as well, a rare severity in his widening eyes.
"Yes," the salesman continued smoothly, ignoring Meta Knight's reaction. "NME has decided to end King Dedede's account for good. Congratulations, MK. With any luck, we'll finally be rid of Kirby."
The salesman waved them off with a poisonous smile and the screen went black.
-----
The static reclaimed the screen, casting the throne room in an eerie glow of flickering lights, leaving Dark and Meta frozen in shock. Marx's cackles echoed behind them, amused by their stunned reactions. Ignoring the throbbing pain in his side, Meta rose from the throne, absently wrapping his cape tighter around him.
"This is a bigger issue than... How does it keep getting worse?" Meta's voice was tight with concern, his brows furrowed in frustration. "NME is in league with Arcta Knight."
The gravity of the situation hung heavy in the air, a sense of foreboding settling over the group as they grappled with the revelation.
“What happened? I lost the connection," Magolor said, his voice breaking the tense silence as he entered the throne room. Meta wasted no time in recounting the events, his explanation laden with urgency. Magolor's expression shifted from curiosity to shock, his mouth falling agape and his ears flattening against his head in disbelief.
“NME created Arcta Knight?" he gasped, the weight of the revelation sinking in.
“Cahoots! The Knight and Nightmare are in Cahoots!” Marx's voice rang out from across the room, his tone a mixture of disbelief and indignation.
“That... explains the communication issues a little," Magolor muttered, his expression grim as he adjusted his hood. "I managed to connect to NME's signal, but it's the only active one in this solar system. I think they're the ones jamming all other signals. I couldn't verify that, though." The realization dawned on them with chilling clarity, each word spoken adding to the gravity of their situation.
“This is just great…” Dark grumbled, his voice heavy with frustration. He kept his gaze averted from the group, turning his back to them and bristling with agitation, “well, we can’t sit here forever. Are we going to do something about it or what?”
“Right. We need a plan.” Meta Knight replied, decisive and resolute. Their adversary wasn't the only one with allies, and Meta knew they needed to mobilize quickly. Though a part of him wanted to shield others from the danger, he understood that swift action was necessary to end the threat.
“First things first. We need to check on the Halberd. I want to ensure everyone there is safe. Kirby can handle a lot, but this is beyond his capabilities right now. Dark and I need to find NME. I'm sure Arcta will follow us wherever we go. That is, assuming she hasn't set her own priorities straight."
“We'll conduct a search for them while we're taking you where you need to go. Lor can take all the Cappies to my dimension where they should be safe," Magolor offered, his voice steady as he outlined the plan. "Marx, I think you should stay on the Halberd to teach Kirby a thing or two so he can join Meta Knight and Dark Meta Knight."
“What about the king? He could train Kirby," Dark interjected, with a hint of skepticism.
“He could, but I don't know if he can set his hostility aside for long enough to do that," Magolor replied, his brow furrowing with concern.
“I'm sure Dedede can do it. He can be a decent leader when he tries," Meta Knight sighed, though doubt lingered in his voice as he considered their options. He had little faith in Marx’s ability to mentor… well anyone. But putting an extra fighter on the Halberd would be better for their defenses. “I think Marx remaining on the Halberd is best. It’s best to keep him in this dimension should we need a Nova.”
“Nova? Galactic Nova. The wishing star, the fabulous comet grants milky way wishes.” Marx began to sing with childlike enthusiasm as he balanced precariously on his colorful ball, swaying joyfully. Meta Knight's expression tightened at the mention of Nova. He should have known that bringing up such a powerful entity could complicate matters further.
“I’ll get him calmed down, trust me, he can help us.” Magolor assured as he moved swiftly to gather Marx and gently guide him back to reality. Despite his determination and assurance, Magolor's ears betrayed his concern, twitching with unease as he worked to settle Marx down.
Meta Knight released a heavy breath, the weight of their plan bearing down on him. With a wince, he sank into the throne, pulling tightly on his cape as if seeking solace in its familiar embrace. The ache of his bandaged wound throbbed beneath his touch, a painful reminder of the task ahead. His gaze drifted upward, fixating on the ornate ceilings of the castle.
This plan could work. It had to. He clenched his jaw against the discomfort, allowing the pain to pulse through his torso. It was a stark reminder of the urgency of their mission. Her actions remained a puzzle, their motives shrouded in mystery. But Meta Knight knew that unraveling the why was a luxury they couldn't afford. All that mattered was the end goal: she needed to be eliminated.

Random hcs assortment
-Dedede's parents died when he was a kid (pre anime) that could explain why he had such a violent temper during the anime.
-The reason why Magolor was so scared to hear that Galacta is still alive is because he (Galacta) used to be a very cruel Halcandran dictator who terrorized Halcandra for a whole while until he was sealed away. Galacta was said to be dead instead of sealed.
-Talking about Galacta, he was the creation of one of the "youngest" Ancients, created to be the ultimate warrior, meeting their own demise at the hands of their creation.
-Adeleine and Ado are both different beings in this AU (yes I will die on this hill).
-During KSA for some strange reason Francisca formed a strange friendship with Gooey.
-Prolongued Dark Matter possession can result in either: Personality changes, health deterioration (mental and physical), body deformations or eventual death.
-When Hyness saved the three mage sisters, they thought Francisca wouldn't survive because of her fragile state.
-Sometimes when they have nothing to do, Escargoon and Meta Knight watch telenovelas together, getting occasionally teased by Kirby and Dedede. DDD eventually joins them but is in denial about liking them tho...
-Miracle Matter wasn't supposed to exist but because of Zero Two's fierce personality Zero had to create her to keep him in check for eternity.
-I said this before but Nightmare is despised by literally everyone, good or bad, they all are after his head.
-With that being said, Zero (Kirby aside) is the most determined in getting rid of him, and he did, but nearly killed himself in the process (heads up for another post).
-All inhabitants of all planets across the Gamble Galaxy adopted different characteristics and phenotypes according to their planets (Eg: Rock Star people being super tough).
-Kirby's skin is impossibly smooth, like plastic but soft and fleshy, think of those skin immitation silicone mats used for tattoo practice.
-Meta Knight is bilingual (Voice hc: Antonio Banderas in both languages).
-The Halberd crew used to be called "The Meta Knights" but the name was changed because it was a target of constant ridicule, even among the crew (still haven't chosen a name, Imma tag it as "the meta knights" for now).
-eNeMe salesman is a creation of Nightmare, technically talking, him and MK are half siblings.
-You know that clown from that anime? Whippy? Yeah, Bugzzy killed him and helped liberate all of the other demon beasts that weren't so bad and got rid of the bad ones, all by himself.
-Kirby couldn't talk properly until he turned 6, communicating mostly by saying "poyo" (a sort of vocal tic) and other sounds.
-Tokkori may have warmed to Gooey's presence, but still has huge prejudices against Dark Matters. Kirby has to constantly remind Tokkori to not talk pests about him and his family near him or to Gooey.
-The animal friends fell apart for a while because of personal differences and Chuchu's toxicity, the majority of them eventually got together for KSA events.
-Based on the hc that galaxia protects Meta Knight from possession, I want to add that is not only galaxia, being half demon beast helps a lot.
-Actually, MK being Nightmare's son means that he can deflect almost any psychic attack with ease or maybe even cause one himself (he may not be aware of it yet).
