Today, Live! Loren Gold, keyboardist for The Who and Chicago, both, currently! Talk about a bounty of riches. Deserved!

I’ve been blessed to sit down with old friends and new, not oft with one thisclose. Always crazy fun, on the mic and off. I met Loren Gold at NAMM only 3 1/2 yrs ago, heard him do a short set, and pounced. Since then, he’s played the living room multiple times, backing up both Anson Williams and Donny Most, for two - Happy Days! We’ve sat down, and run around, and he’s just one of those people who make it easy to connect and bond.

Quintessential Loren… seeing him man the keyboards and backup vocals for The Who at the Hollywood Bowl in October ’19 just before the crazy started. Arguably the greatest concert I’ve yet to see… and that’s saying a bit of something something. Loren’s been with The Who since 2012 and has played with Roger Daltrey since 2009. We could stop right there... but no… Loren’s toured and performed with Kenny Loggins, and Mandy Moore, and opened for Kelly Clarkson, and The Doobie Brothers, to name some. Loren joined Chicago this year, and has served as musical director for Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Hilary Duff, and American Idol winner, Taylor Hicks. He’s played keyboards for America’s Got Talent and Dancing With The Stars, and has appeared on pretty much every major talk show. He's not only got my attention but my kid’s too, which happens, almost never. Above all now, he's become a treasured friend - can’t wait to dig in… and, there’ll be music… of the very best kind.

Here’s my shot of Kenny Loggins at the "Top Gun: Maverick" Global Premiere on the USS Midway in San Diego. I never thought this day would come. I remember the one opportunity to meet Kenny happened when I was general manager of Hollywood Records in Tucson. After Kenny’s gig he dropped be the Speedway store and hungout. I was busy doing manager stuff somewhere else and missed him. That was 43 years ago. Kenny was a very active guy on the carpet.
