But like in general? Vincent just seems like the type of person who would absolutely have his shit 2gether as a parent?? And who could also grow through the experience of nurture (my favorite sentence in the whole wide world)

I AM slightly struggling to imagine Vincent letting a kid NOWHERE near the waxing basement, I mean hell, look at all the fire, look at all the sharp artist tools, look at ALL THE KID DANGER, that is not a safe spot for any boogernose to run around. BUT i can totally see his morbidity as a person weirdly being a part of family life. Eg just having random wax statues (maybe fully wax no corpse pls....) around in the kitchen and the kid(s) having names for them n stuff and saying morning & good bye before leaving to catch the schoolbus. Which is like, a long walk away on some dirt road and they always get there w leaves in their hair n stuff.

AHAH allright uh....... ive not been to the traditional kinda college personally, I've been and am currenly in a vocational college, so I'm not totally sure how accurate I can be w this but!!  ; v ; honestly????? Student life slasher au hcs???????? Lets go?????? Here's the ones I could think of currently, feel free to ask abt others /send me opinions abt yalls own >:0

Brahms Heelshire

Literature major. English lit? Dunno if they get seperated, I feel like I've heard that in a sentence somewhere!!

Doesn't really have a clear aim for what he wants to do after gratuation. Like, doesn't really care all that much.

However, he is actually really passionate about school and studying. Student life fits him well. He loves learning, etc, and likes to get good grades.

The routine works well for him too. At least, partly. He's a bit bad at taking care of himself, because he just puts a bit too much focus into studying instead of cleaning, showering, eating well, etc.

He really is just a massive tall guy who appears at classes wearing half pajamas and kinda smelling musky but not bad. He never speaks during class but he really, REALLY looks like he wants to "well, actually-"

Gets flustered easily by his thoughts/opinions being challenged. Not good at debating his thoughts w other people, feels personally attacked, and wants to always be swooned over.

Doesn't really talk to people. Stares, however. Like, a lot. At boys n gals.

He has like a p nice apt, payed for by his parents, nat. Its messy. Not too bad, but a lot of pizza boxes. N som nasty mags n such. Kinda empty.

Bubba Sawyer

What if..... the Sawyer family decided to farm instead of murder? Hmm....

Agriculture in vocational college mayhaps??? Economics, mechanization, kinda the technical stuff at first- but he gets interested in the sustainability, politics, etc the further he gets!

A bit of a chaotic student. Tries REALLY hard and is very passionate and spends a lot of time on schoolwork, extra reading etc. But he struggles w organizing papers, files, looses a lot of his notes and pens, etc.

He's always helpful, and like, eeeveryone likes him bc he's just so nice??? Bumbling lad but if u need a pen he will borrow u one, if u need help w schoolwork u should ask Bubba, also just super fun to hang out w !!!

He's... hes big yeah and kinda noticable, he often kinda knees himself on things and rattles tables, drops things etc, so he might be a bit distracting to students who struggle w attention :(

Nobody really gets his art. Its kinda grandiose, chaotic, colorful, kinda painful to look at, but he's so full of enthusiasm and joy and he's so nice to everyone that u can't help but to love him.

Always wearing clunky headphones and jamming to loud music that can be heard very strongly thru the headphones. But like, its all bops so nobody minds all that much?

Im guessing this is like BOBBY, not chop top, technically? Long hair Bobby in college with the weed bunts and rocking music.

Actually has like a lot to say thru art, the world just isnt ready for it yet.

Also does performance art.

Jason Voorhees

Forestry. Duh.

Good good student, good kid, solid person. A little shy and withdrawn, but, RELIABLE.

Generally interested in natural resources, sustainability, and very into wildlife studies. Is just there to stUDY HOW TO PROTECT NATURE.

Can kinda come off as scary, pretty often. Tall, muscular as hell (he works out rly often and hikes), has kinda lumberjack kinda look going on w durable pants, boots, flannels and tanktops. Looks like he could fuck shit up but if u spend just a little time w him u find out that he's just... so soft

Not like the most upbeat, gets kinda nervous in big people groups. Probs had some experience w bullying as a kid in school. The enviroment he's in now is much more mature, tho.

Also he's like 6"6 pure muscle people r not gonna mess w him anymore.

Also the reason why the dorm area around him is so fucking chill.

He has 2 knock like once on ur door and stare u down for 5 sec and if ur partying too loud and u WILL NOT BE PARTYING TOO LOUD ANYMORE.

People r scared of him but also love him

what do you think brahms + loud n vincent + jonesy encounter would b like tho????? i know they're incredibly different from one another, personality + location wise, but like, i like to think that brahms would end up falling into vin's influence of music bcs of the whole "metal and classical music have a lot in common and their listeners as well" thing

O-oh........ anon u are BRILLIANT iLOV U..... PLUS.... THESE TWO, very two big fluffy cozy sweater men, hanging out, being fuzzy and good, beautiful!!!! Yes. I'm absolutely in love w this idea.

To me they're both a little socially awkward, (at least a little) (I don't think that it's a surprise when it comes to Brahms) (but I also see Vincent as socially incompitent when he isn't more relaxed / in his natural enviroment). Which is honestly a very fun dynamic !!! Vincent being the slightly more compitent one trying to bring in normalcy and Brahms being the slightly more awkward but also restrained one?

(Kinda similiar to what I'm talking abt w Nubbins & Vincent, expect Nubbins would be the type to bring full chaos, Brahms is way more reserved)

I think they'd have a lot in common in general !!!! I BET Vincent reads some old gothic novels and poetry. And same goes for Brahms. I can absolutely see them very quietly mumbling in the corner and like, geeking over some obscure 1800s book in that way where, they're too embarrassed to like act as exited as they are but they're both getting all jittery and "hahahahaha u like this too??? Omg thats so cool ive never met anyone else who likes this too ahaahahahah" (while neither of them rarely meet people at all)

The music thing too definetly!!!!! Brahms being a little reserved in the beginning but then he lets the angst in and listens to some proper metal and actually gets hella into it <3

Ok so I have like a whole hc timeline I would like to write down one day and WILL and KINDA STARTED TO WRITE DOWN, but u r literally asking me about the parents not the whole Sawyer family, so I'm gonna limit this to talking about them 😭💖 i'm a mess.

Ok so !!!!! I have kind of a specific image of them in my head rn. Might change but yk.

I like to imagine that grampas son is their dad. Some mostly straight laced seeming lad from the meat plant, who. Started the whole cannibalism theme. I have a lot of thoughts on when that started and why but I won't go into it. But pap pap Sawyer was the dude. I imagine him as this gangly looking tall kinda lad who smiled a lot, who you could have a beer with, hang out w for a while, but who u really shouldn't talk much w, bc he would always kinda steer towards some slightly... odd... subjects. Morbid. Even slightly occult. I love that kind of country gothic flavored occultism. I don't see it as having stayed in the family, but I see papa Sawyer making some weird knicknacks meant to be functional objects for curses n stuff  that later inspired Nubbinses art. Quiet, but also- really distant. I think he would'v died around when Drayton was in his teens. I kinda feel like Drayton was more of a mommas boy, but Nubbins liked to hang around dads workshop and watch him work on his reading and such after work work. He wouldv' been distant, but open to Nubbins when he realized the kid was interested in whatever weird shit he got up to.

As for mama Sawyer, her coming from outside the family, I kinda like to imagine that she is just from a more "normal" family. maybe a little wealthier, but not too much. But like, her also working at the meat plant? Idk I just really love the image of this pretty tall 50s housewife coming from a neat family, but secretly being a natural born Sawyer; weird, crooked, and INCREDIBLY passionate about the meat industry. Immediately getting hired at the plant, coming in with a nice little brunette bobcut to do. Meat plant work. Very capable!!! Lovely lady. Unlike dad, I imagine her being jsut extremely in your face weird, but so loud and charming abt it that she kinda got away w it?

I like to think that mama & papa Sawyer were incredibly in love and got along well even tho they were pretty busy w their own tasks !!! As i mentioned I like to think that Drayton was a bit of a mommas boy. Inherited her bright cheery smile and funky fashion <3

(I think from the kids, Chop Top was the one to seek the outside world the most, kinda trying to make friends w some of the other kids, etc, and was a bit more unattached from the parents??? Dunno.bubba wouldv been too young when they died to properly remember them.) (In my hcs i mean.)

So yeah sorry thsi was very rambly but I just love the Sawyer family and again, I just wanna be a part of it so :') i think abt it a lot. Rip.

• favorite thing about them —  literally absolutely everything he drives me nuts he is amazing and I love him. His wiggles. His little dances. His yelling and singing. His SMILE. Ok it might be his smile. I have kind of a thing for irregular teeth. Overbites, underbites, lost teeth, turned, wiggly, whatever, idk... they just like, when someone w different teerh smiles wide my heart gets a little jolt, I get all electric I DONT KNOW WHY. AH. And he has a big bright smile I :')

• favorite thing about them — his presence !!! He has a lot of strange, non-physical weight (well he has that too and I love it) and this really raw intensity that just makes my heart run wild. I n t e n s i t y. The way he can kinda go from 0 to 100, and back, and then back again, when needed, is smth I'm really attracted to as an emotionally turbulent person (and I don't mean i wanna be fighting w him all the time, just, i wish for someone to acnowledge my emotions). Also, he is big big and looks so comfortable like a weighted blanket and I want him to hug me so bad.

• least favorite thing about them — the murder and girl sniffing???? Aside from that, really dunno. He has a lot of flaws but they play so beautifully 2gether that i don't hate any of it!!!!

• favorite line — "Get back here" bruh he just *growl* its very cute :') i love the whole descent of his voice in that scene, just, the loss of control is so raw and painful.

• unpopular opinion — dunno if rly unpopular but!!!! I don't vibe super much w the very infantalized / babyish view of Brahms. The facade feels more to me like a survival / manipulation tactic that worked so he didn't need to change it. He's a grown dude and may be awkward as shit but he doesn't feel Immature to me. And U kno we been talking abt this, talking to the asker, hella into their thoughts. Also, i feel like him being more mature gives more room for growth as a person and that's like, all I care about when it comes to characters....

Some feral animal that people think has been domesticated. He has domesticated you... so maybe a cat.....!!! But like, a big, lounging one, fluffy, pampered looking.... fancy, but U just look him in the eye and u KNOW.... Deep inside.......... he is still f e r a l...... the type of cat that just would not behave and has fancy rich pet parents who don't understand its boundaries nor to show it the house rules.

Vincent Sinclair —

He's smooth. He's sleak and v effective. I'm reminded of a snake !!! Keeps low, quiet, but if it's a viper etc, can be deadly with one well executed, fast bite. Also, incredibly beautiful! Can be a very curious creature.

Chop Top Sawyer —

I can't help but to say rat!!! Rats are incredibly cute, big little critters, and they can look so weird !!! Well taken care of they can be very fluffy and warm and cozy, but, this one has had a rough life so it's a bit aggro, defencive and chases its own tail :( please put him in your pocket to keep warm and give him a little ham.

Nubbins Sawyer —

Deer. With front facing eyes, like a coyote. Does that make sense, naturally? No. But Nubbins is the gangly, sickly, weirdly big deer you see with no horns, bony face, in your headlights at night. You manage to stop before hitting it, but it's a mistake you'll never be able to correct >:) that or a sick dog.

Michael Myers —

He's incredibly human as a character? I don't think Michael is Michael without the human idea of morality / law. He has to be some creature that kills for fun. Googling that comes up w sm article mentioning dolphins, foxes, leopards, cats, etc! But rly I just see him as human :(

Huh, ok so. I got an ask about the wax in House of Wax which, I'll get to u soon boo it's got sm THOUGHTS. But it got me thinking & trying to look into how the set design was made for the movie. From what I've been able to find is that predictably things were just coated in wax to get the look down (if someone knows where I could find more info tho- hmu!!!!!!!), BUTTTTT, I ALSO FOUND THIS.

I dunno if anyones posted about this here yet, sorry if I'm just repeating whats been said :') but this is "A Pound of Flesh for 50p" (or "Melting House") by Alex Chinnec, a temporary art installation built and then melted, which essentially was the real house of wax !!!! It's kinda neat to read about. I won't chat abt it too much, mostly I'm just exited to think about what this means when it comes to the house of wax in the movie.

Since it did fully melt at the end w sm special effects n all that, we Can Probably assume the whole house WAS wax wax. What reading I've done on wax sculptures, they're built on metal structures, and though noone were seen in the end scene (if i recall right, please, I have coldfish memory) BUT I really find the idea that the house was built similiarly to how wax figures are made very endearing. Goes fully into the realm of fiction, but it's really fun to me to imagine that the house had regular metal frames. The house could have been built from wax bricks like the art installation, but the sun could have melted the surface, which could have been smoothed w those plaster leveling tools?

In general the house of wax being wax in that hot looking town directly under the sun makes no sense at all, BUT i love it nevertheless. Or maybe it does..!!!!! I don't know anything abt wax and I have too much work to do a full year rotation research on it even if i wanted to !!!!!!!!!! I just like to imagine mrs. Sinclair in magazine photos setting down the first wax brick. Photos of teeny tiny Lester setting down foundations too. I like to think about the Sinclair brothers having to smooth out the house & do some upkeep on hot summers. Its very cute.

Im just getting my jitters out w this but yk!!!!!! Fully chaotic thoughts.

(His filthy tongue) ok like I have this weird thing where I find exeasively horn knee people incredibly endearing, it's just like, a very cute trait yk? :') It's probs why I was so drawn to the slasher fandom, yall r WILD and it's like mad cute to me when I get to just chill and watch from the side. • favorite thing about them — the weird tenderness he seems to exhibit. He seems to... care a lot, in a weird way, about a lot of things. Observant, watchful, gentle when nessecary. Nervous from time to time. He has a gentle side that is very sweet to me. Also he just... looks very good :') i'm weak. I just... feel like despite his cruelty, there is this great melancholy and hurt in him, that is a door to kindness and recognition of the world.

• least favorite thing about them — he is so fucking unessecarily cruel? Mean little thing. I'm a very very softie kinda person and its just very hard for me to even begin to understand ):

• favorite line — he don speak but the way he pokes at Bo hehehe it is so funny to me. Also!!! I'll call actions lines here... the way he focuses on things. Leaning over to study Paris' character, taking care of Wade, I just think it's very sweet despite the morbidity. He just seems to have an eye for detail, and I apprechiate it.

• brOTP — lester & vincent & bo naturally 🥺 also, Jonesy!!!! The doggie was hanging out at the house of wax a lot!!!! I kinda like to think that it was Kinda Vincents dog.

Idk how to explain it, but 2 artists with vividly different energies. I think this comes from those being my fave movies but, idk, I just feel like they would get along in like a rly weird kid kinda way, and maybe could kis and then sit for hours doing crafts 2gether.

• random headcanon — gardening, mayhaps.... :') ambrose wasn't that tended to garden wise, and I kinda guess it's funny to imagine the bros not knowing what to do w plants and just letting the gardens go a little crusty, but also, idk.... vincent gardening a little is a very sweet thought to me. Like, not being particularly good at it, but from time to time, in the evening, going out to plant some stuff... groom gardens a bit.... pull weeds.... a good break from staying down in his cellar all day. Healthy, clean air, cool evening breeze, etc.

• unpopular opinion — can't think of any? I guess I kinda babify him a lot which might upset some people. I don't think he is the better brother, nothing like that, Bo just isn't that exiting to me as a character and I don't find him very attractive visually which. Skdjdjdjdk. Yeah. Same person technically but you know? I think his character arc was the clearest in the movie too so idk what to say abt him. But yeah idk i just care a lot abt vincent sorry for all the fluff 🥺 sm people seem upset by it(i havent been like called out for it or anything butdjdkdkek i totally understand why the "siding w vincent" might upset some folks)

OK OK OK HELL YEAH OK SO. Last ramble of the evening;;;

I do honestly just like the idea that like Nubbins, he was picked up as a hitchiker (after running away from a hopsital or smth or other) by Buckethead & Squishface on a roadtrip......... and they just adopted him..... new fun friend.... i may doodle a comic for that one day..........

As for Emotions which I could go on forever abt Thank u for asking. In my "Chop Top Timeline(tm)" during tcm2 he was content / had given into the Sawyer Lifestyle. Specifically Given In is the word here, I think he used to do a lot of bad studd before, but more because he was lashing out. The Sawyer way is enjoying the bad stuff (Drayton is a liar i s2g look at the way he keeps grinning and glancing awkwardly and laughing...)

Cornbugs era feels to me like the most self-aware he gets. He might just be a little tired, STILL HAVING FUN DONT GET ME WRONG. Still mean as hell. But a lot of Cornbugs stuff is satire in the way that, it feels like satire BY Chop Top. Eg. Clown smile (death warmed over), belly like a snake....

I feel like Chops finally like, processing his childhood in a more clearly communicative way (the tunnels were defi a form of self expression!!! Just a bit more difficult to understand since we didnt get a full tour AND WHAT A SHAME THAT IS.), as he is trying to avoid processing the death of his family. As w Nubbins, I can see him pretending that they're still alive, but the weight of the knowledge that he's lost everyone slowly weighing on his facade of "IM VIBING SO HARD HAHAH HOHOH". YK??? He is starting to slow down, bay-bee............

Also, that stomache cut looked Pretty fucking severe. I can imagine him having Some kinda intestinal problems. Dunno what but damn boy that was a bit far. I am not a doctor. If someone knows what smth like that could cause long term pls do tell. I dont wanna google it. Queasy.

Sry no art for this immediately but I defi need to doodle sm more of the Sinclair bothers.... i just wanna chat abt their relationship for a bit bc theyre rly interesting to me and this is a RLY good zone for that talk.

As I've said I hc that Lester is the oldest, and that the Sinclairs had him before they were kinda, ready for a kid, and really didn't know what to do with him. Busy with work, studies, etc; he kinda started to fend for himself from a rly young age. Idk, he just has the vibes of someone who grew up being kinda lonely, he's a little awkward, woodsy... I get the feeling that he used to just play in the woods alone as a kid, come in the house to make his own crusty sandwiches, say hi to his parents in fleeting and get back out. So yeah knifes were kind of a must, gta be able to whittle and clean mushrooms n stuff!!! And gross stuff but yk.

Vincent has more house mouse type introvert vibes, more using knifes for art stuff. So i rly like the idea of them not really hanging out much for the better part of Vincents baby age, but when they both kinda realize that they had this apprechiation for tools n stuff, as u said, bonding over them !!!

Vincent defi has these much more softer hands, he works w much more od a delicate material (wax) which is visible w his mermaid knifes being sm more elegant n curvy n gentle, whereas Lester got that big ole knife which would be genuinely good for work. And i love that contrast, it says sm. I can kinda see Lester being like a rly caring but awkward big brother. Trying so hard to keep up w Vinnys artistic endevours, carving some cute but very clunky statuettes to give to him n shit and trying to understand what he's abt.

I can kinda full on see him getting the mermaid knifes for Vincent too...

But yeah. Technically I'm just rambling abt these two sharing an apprechiation for crafting tools, but rly, I do have an apprechiation for knifes so i understand this ask, one of the earliest human inventions, the tool to shape and mold and theyre so wonderful!!! I think lester n vincent could defi have bonded over them, but also all the things they could craft w them.

I associate this with my kinda hc that in some way, almost all of the Sawyer family recognizes thow messed up their life is. Drayton and Chop Top more than the others, and weirdly enough, I feel Bubba gets it more than Nubbins too. I feel like they have to keep up this facade and upkeep of cruelty and coldness to keep themselves from fully acnowledging how absolutely fucked up their life is. Cruelty to themselves and eachother, and a warmth & vunerability would bring the truth out, but the truth is too awful and they wouldn't be able to handle it, ya get me?
