I just finished it tonight and overall really loved it! I watched it because a kamen rider actor plays one of the people in the supporting couple and I am glad I watched

It's about a woman, Wako who works at a manga magazine and they start a segment with a famous fashion model Kira, a man who has a very androgynous wardrobe. It turns out his stylist is her friend from high school,Meguru, who upon seeing her again immediately tells her he loves her!

In high school she defended him from people bullying him for having long hair and wearing womans clothes. She inspired him to live his truth and express himself truly. She was also just someone he could confide with and feel safe around. She became his hero!

The show follows them beginning to date and support eachother through all their troubles with work and health. It tackles a lot of things and at least for me I liked it

I am realizing this ask got very long but if this seems like something you might want to check out I think I would recommend it! It was very fun and sweet :)

y'all remember back before the 2017 power rangers movie came out and all the shitty pop culture clickbait sites were trying to cash in on the hype by writing dumbass power ranger-related listicles?

like i still remember one site had a listicle of like 'the 10 most OBVIOUS power rangers rip-offs' and it included like fuckin the other tokusatsu adaptions by saban (i mean yeah it's obvious that saban did VR troopers, masked rider, and big bag beetleborgs to try and replicate power rangers' success but like you can't rip off yourself), kamen rider kuuga, ultraman tiga, and akibaranger.

honestly if i were writing an article like that, i'd take the piss and just list every unadapted sentai as a power rangers rip-off to annoy everyone lol. 'mashin sentai kiramager??? more like "mighty morphin kira rangers"!!!!! blatant rip-off, even has their own megazord or 'kiramaizin' as they call it!!'

KAMEN Rider Gaim (2013-2014) Recommended (47xEpisodes)

Excellent show, good character writing. Interesting plot. 

Amazon’s issue for me was the setting felt empty (which perhaps was the point to hone in the dark tone), however this show, while lacking gore- the world of “Zawame” feels populated and alive.

Always something going on.

Pay close attention to the opening song sequences, it tells you a lot about the show itself.

Kouta is well developed, his skills gradually develop.

Kaito is a beast, he’s consistent in his motivation.

Mai will be annoying at first, but she’ll mellow out, don’t let her antics tune you out.

The show is colorful, and fruit themed Armors is different, and fun.

Diverse cast of characters, you’ll end up liking most of them. Not too many, not too little. All get their own changes and development, roles to play 

The lore gets really, REALLY deep and philosophical

Like My Hero Academia, it has a tone shift. But here it’s executed better because it’s more focused, you can tell by how the story progresses this wasn’t written by someone making it up as they went along, this was a mapped out plot.

Thus the result is good pacing.

Good choreography, very fast paced when 2 serious Riders go at it. 

Music is Sengoku themed, inspirational at times, gets your energy pumped. Very good tracks

Solid 8/10, Finished the series last night (MAY132023), i’m on “GEATS” for now, but going to watch Gaim again really soon

The most I can criticize for now (as views tend to change via rewatch) is the anime-esque gags.  Some of them can come off as cringe, but it can be  funny because of it's random risque nature and doesn’t overstay it’s welcome, most of the humor lands because the actors know how to sell it for the most part. (It all depends on the viewer, ultimately. Some anime aesthetics  aren't meant to be live-action, but KR:Gaim pulls it off, especially as the show transitions into the more serious phase)

And it does get serious, how it begins in tone doesn't prepare you for how it ends in scale. 

(And i'll just leave it at that, you'll see what i mean when it happens) 

And that anime trope where a character softly says the name of the person who’s talking very inspirationally.

Gen Urobuchi wrote this series, so it’s very Anime in it’s delivery; Which partly explains why it feels so lively.

I prefer the serious, but Gaim is what happens when you have a good mix of the serious, the wholesome, and the lighthearted, 

Won’t say anymore though, this is the kind of show where if you review too much you end up spoiling.

i'm delighted whenever you bring up your headcanon about the ex-aid charas being fans of date! kamen rider sorely lacks out-of-suit crossover shenanigans (just compare to the fantastic zenkai/kira/senpaiger movie). it's really fun to imagine those sorts of interactions- for example, i imagine the sword of logos would freak out about philip's powers- "what do you MEAN you can just access the earth's library whenever you want, we've spent centuries trying to tap into that power!?"

Oh my god, the folks from Saber losing it about Philip's whole thing is such a charming thought, I love that! And also hooray, thank you! It's a headcanon I'm very pleased with, and I absolutely agree that we need more non-suit crossover content in Rider, that's why I like writing it so much.

(Also god I loved Zenkai vs Kiramai, so fun.)

Sougo now wore the Ryusoulger armor, and the form was totally unexpected. Zi-O gained two pauldrons on each of his shoulders, one was blue and the other was pink, he also gained a black cape. His helmet still had the Katakana for Rider but its behind bars of a knight's helmet.

He also gained the Ryusoulger symbol, in red and silver, that ran down from his chest and ended beyond the belt, just like where the silver part on his base suit ended.

Hi!

Welcome to this account! I'm Kira, and this is an account I intend to use for a few things.

Firstly, and more prominently this will be used for my updates on my writings. As of right now, this mainly comes in the form of my Kamen Rider Saber Fanfiction adaptation, called The Saber Project. My primary intent with it, outside of practicing my writing, is writing a series how I would adapt Kamen Rider Saber in a way similar to Power Rangers. I was intending to have it premiere with the prologue and the first three chapters, which to help the release schedule, will be called "episodes," but I got really busy with classes last semester, so I only got to write the prologue. Don't worry, I am still writing the other chapters, and I'll release the first three episodes all at once (They work well as a pilot of sorts in how I have them planned), and from there, episodes will be released as I have them ready. However, if you want to get in early, the prologue is up on AO3, I'll put a link somewhere.

However, I am also here to try to be more true to myself. It's a small way, yes, but given it is a new year, I want to try to express who I've slowly been realizing who I am over the past few years via this space. I've been realizing that I identify with she/they more than the he/him I was born with, and I've been trying to navigate what that means for me, especially with how anxious I can be about change. Hell, there's still a ton I need to figure out, given my parents giving me a fairly Christian upbringing, which isn't inherently bad, but has its limits, you know. Not properly teaching you about certain things, either through unfortunate misinformation or pure obfuscation of information. It's something I'm working to navigate as I push into my adulthood. I hope you will be on that journey with me. However, not all posts will be this serious. In fact, they'll mostly be pretty normal. Posts about action figures, movies I've watched, whatever. Oh, yeah, and updates on The Saber Project. Do check it out, let me know of things I may need to improve. I do really enjoy getting feedback, so whatever you can give me is great.

Sibling Rights Bracket 2 Round 2 Results

I brought in the heavy hitters for this round--let's see if and how that shook things up for our contestants!

Mia and Maya beat out Chris and Claire at 70%!

Ram and El triumphed over Ciel and Rio at 65%!

Lynne and Kamila won against Falin and Laios at 72.2%!

Seto and Mokuba beat Hina and Ankh at 66.7%!

Garry, Ib, and Mary won over Spencer and Carly at 68.2%!

Charlie and Lola just barely managed to beat Katara and Sokka at 54.5%!

Mipha and Sidon beat Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and April at 52.4%! (Which is a relief for me, because now I don't have to type all that out anymore!)

Beat and Rhyme, well, beat Ayano, Tsubomi, Seto, and Shuuya at 77.8%! (Once again, that's a lot of names I no longer have to type! Maybe the real winner was the Penny who made the polls along the way! Or something!)

Their tenacity can beat even gods--Violet, Klaus, and Sunny defeated Freya and Freyr at 65%!

Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup claimed the most dramatic win in this round, thoroughly trouncing Ramza and Alma at 95%!
