Kind of got a fun little headcanon that there are actually WAY more people in the town of Edda who are fully aware of their status' as reincarnated gods and are just like: "Eh. It is what it is." and just go about their everyday lives as if nothing much has really changed with the occasional "YOU KNOW!" + "AND YOU KNOW!" moment spattered in.

I love this idea because it just makes Magne, Laurits and the others attempting to do hella sus shit in a completely unsubtle manner so much funnier when you imagine the handful of townsfolk, who always seem to be around for their shenanigans, just watching them and shaking their heads like: "Ah shit, Thor and Loki are back at it again."

ragnarok head canons part 2: jutul family edition

- in the seventies fjor and saxa dressed like abba regularly and the jutul family won the edda costume contest in 1978

- okay this is like a whole family one but they love the twilight movies and ran and fjor decided to make the graduation cap decoration that the Cullens have in their house, they took it down once after Oscar came over and told everyone the jutuls were vampires as a joke

- they love going on extravagant family holidays

- vidar and ran have their own bedrooms

- saxa and Vidar go for runs together in the morning sometimes and ran and fjor like to cook breakfast together

- they all love to get drunk and do karaoke as a family

- vidar makes them watch friends reruns and fjor agrees as long as he'll watch greys anatomy with him

- ran loves horror movies

- the entire family loves to race and they book track time on race tracks all around the world, they have their own set of formula one cars all with their respective initial and surname (for example, saxas says s. jutul)

- they love fancy dress and over the years have dressed as many iconic families and quartets such as the Beatles, queen, abba, (and sex and the city once after to much mead)

- vidar secretly wants saxa to take over the company

- they are all incredibly intelligent and love trivia nights

- they spend a lot of time together because vidar doesn't like them to have friends, none of them minded too much until recently because they all become isolated

- they love to entertain and have thrown extravagant dinner parties years to flaunt their wealth

- vidar doesn't actually do anything at work half the time, his office opens to the back of the building and he goes to the mountain during the day, sometimes when fjor skips school they train

- they get out the battle axe and have votes on really petty stuff like what to have for dinner and who is going to take the cars for mots

- sometimes vidar lets them look through their past family photos, he's secretly sentimental and they have boxes and boxes of photos of family videos

- ragnarok anon

MY TIME HAS COME 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

Spoilers for Ragnarok S1 under the cut!

- Laurits is hands down my favorite and has been since S1! I adore him. I just find him so fascinating and he’s genuinely so!! Ahh!!! I love him!!! He’s clever and observant but also so earnest? Plus he’s just. Hilarious. I have so much more to say about him but I want to wait until you finish S2 entirely so I don’t accidentally spoil the season for you (I am horrible at remembering which events happen in which episode)

- Okay so last time I talked about Laurits and Magne being evenly matched? Magne gets his powers and things...don’t change all that much. Magne is power-drunk because he can wrestle Laurits down with ease and finally get him back, right? and Laurits is panic giggling because this is new, oh no, he’s losing his bullying crown. But Laurits tries tickling Magne back one day and it still works--if anything it’s more satisfying because Magne still goes down he’s tickled. Plus Laurits doesn’t hurt him anymore with his flailing. Win win!

- Fjor! I love him so MUCH okay...it pained me not being able to talk about this in the other headcanons batch BUT I love thinking about the Giants as Frost Giants. Sweet, dear Fjor melts around Gry. That melting...gives him certain vulnerabilities.....that he was not previously susceptible to.....which is why he doesn’t know what to do with himself when tickled :’)

- Thinking about Gry poking Fjor’s side and he’s like !!!! and grabs her hand just a little too fast. Gry gets this wicked smirk and starts tickling him because!! He’s cute!! and his laugh is just as cute as he is. He’s like “what are you dOING?” Between squeaks and she realizes he’s never been tickled before? Like ever? So she starts doing it more. He picks up on it rather quickly and starts getting her back though. They’re so soft for each other :’)

- Fjor having the time of his life scooping Gry up into his arms and nuzzling his face into her neck like ‘i love you so much’ and she’s shrieking and thumping on his back because it TICKLES fjor you FIEND

- Saxa catching Fjor and Gry and just...not understanding what’s happening okay. Fjor tries to tickle her and it doesn’t work but she pokes him, just like Gry did, and he !!!!!! and swats her hand away. Saxa gets this evil grin because uh oh, he’s got a human weakness, and she’s gonna have lots of fun with it.

- Saxa is not prepared for when Fjor starts fighting back, because apparently she’s gone soft too? She’s immune until Fjor presses his fingers into her lower ribs and she squeaks and oh, she gets it now. Okay, yeah, it tickles. Saxa’s melted a little too :’)

- Isolde is still one of my favs and I miss her so much :(((((( Why did they take her from us love LOSES. Oh the fics I could have written (and....maybe still will) with Isolde among the gods and giants. Very human, very good Isolde knowing Magne’s spots, teasing him with Laurits, etc. Isolde warming up to Fjor and Saxa (she can’t quite get rid of her crush on Saxa, but friendship is...a step). Isolde and Gry being besties. I MISS HER GIVE HER BACK

- No but I just am thinking about Isolde and Magne. He’s all buff now and she’s like “huh” and pokes him and he still jumps like ten feet in the air, just like old times, and nothing’s changed, not really.

- I am also thinking about giggly Isolde. Literally no further thoughts just she <3

- I am also also thinking about Isolde and Saxa, if they could be healthy, because the parallels of the Jutul children finding a human to melt them has me weeping actually. Like I just...if it wasn’t for *gestures at show plot* they would be cute. Saxa being mean and petty, always used to having the last word, but Isolde never gives her the last word. Isolde is quick-witted and teasy as hell and passionate and observant and Saxa’s down bad. Just...also a moment of Fjor and Saxa sitting together in silence and Saxa being like “I get it, y’know. You and Gry.” and Fjor being like “...Isolde?” and Saxa just nods. and they have a moment.

- I like Magne more this season. I didn’t like him all that much in S1, though I warmed up to him by the end. He’s a dork and I love him so much now. Thinking about Magne throwing open Laurits’s door, hair a mess, like “wanna wrestle” because he still can’t get over the rush of being able to fend for himself for once. Laurits shouldn’t agree to it, he shouldn’t, but he always does because it’s fun to take Magne down with tickles >:)

- Laurits, Fjor, Isolde, and Magne are my top four but Saxa is easily number five. Queen of petty and rockin outfits I love her so much.

- Not to reintroduce my minor character brainrot syndrome but Oscar is so cute this season. He’s just vibing with the pals at all times in his funky lil outfits and sweaters. Not to rarepair about my niche show but...Oscar and Laurits. Laurits fluttering his fingers over Oscar’s neck as he walks by, Oscar figuring out that Laurits’s palms are ticklish (not even Magne knows) and he cannot handle it. Giggly kisses. Softness. That is all.

- Edit: FORGOT THIS BUT Magne has lightning now. Highly improbably but imagine lil zappy tickles and Laurits is wheezing like I will KILL YOU. and Magne just :) *zap*. Also a quirk I’d give Magne is that he likes physical contact and the best way to ground him is thru hugs/hand holds right? so imagine Isolde sitting next to him holding his hand she yelps and pulls away because it tickles. and Magne can’t help but laugh. ALSO since we have just established Laurits’s palms being ticklish: Magne and Laurits get into a spat and Turid makes them apologize....and Magne is a little shit....so he takes Laurits’s hand like “I am so sorry, dearest brother” and *zap* and Laurits is just wheezing and trying to pull his hand away because it tickles so bad.

How is dating him

He IS a very handsome and really rich guy (he doesn't make a point of hiding it), that's why in the beginning of the relationship there were several doubts and insecurities about the truthfulness of the relationship

But he always made sure that he REALLY loved you.

Such demonstrations range from receiving obviously expensive gifts (fancy clothes, necklaces, earrings, and he once bought a Gucci ensemble for you to wear together) to a simple evening of stargazing in the open countryside away from the city of Edda

He is sweet, he likes to receive affection and to give affection. He usually hugs you from behind to inhale your scent and calm himself down, and you usually sleep in this position, or he is the Bigger Spoon.

You don't have a preferred position but you always do it when it is a colder day and you prefer to get under the covers and take a nap together.

Dates vary from going out to fancy restaurants (where you use the expensive gifts he gave you) to more homey dates at home (marathon watching a series or movie)

He does have affectionate nicknames for you: Sweetheart, Princess/Prince/Royalty, Goddess/God (this one is spoken in a non-ironic way, something that earns a chuckle from him)

Regarding family, he does not want and does not intend to introduce you to them. Both for fear of Ran (and his anger towards humans) and Vidar (if he knew you were together, he would kill you for 'diverting Fjor from his destiny')

So, introducing you to the family is a big no

Although Saxa is a completely different story. She knows about her 'brother's' relationship with you, since she has seen the brunette talking to you on the phone and accidentally caught you two on a date (Fjor with his arm around your waist and her face in his neck).

I make her words mine: 'I'm glad you've found someone who even remotely likes you. Watch out for Ran and Vidar, they can't know. '

In short: Saxa likes you. In her own way, but she does.

When he told her about his secret (being a Mythological Giant), it was a tremendous uproar that led to you two taking a break: shouting on one side and furniture thrown on the other

Saxa, being the Queen that she is, noticed the sudden estrangement of you and Fjor. Then, with the least bit of compassion she had in her heart, she tried to help you both

'Look, I know what Fjor told you the truth...'

'Yes, I was sad with him for keeping it from me but I understand that discretion is an essential part of your survival.'

'True but you made a difference in his life. I've never seen Fjor so happy, you made him so happy and I can't believe what I'm going to say. You made him HUMAN, your love made him human.

'Saxa...'

'Talk to him Y/N. Talk to him.'

You nodded, deciding to follow Saxa's advice. Your anxiety seemed to make the time pass more slowly, finally the classes were over and you rushed out to find the brunette.

You found him in the parking lot, head down and hood up. Leaning against the car with a melancholy look on his face.

'Fjor? We can talk...Please.'

'*the brunette raised his head to look at you, he had dark circles under his eyes visible on his white skin* Sure. Do you want to get in the car? I was just going to our place...

'*I smiled sadly* I'd love to.'

As you got into the car, the brunette started driving down the cold streets. You soon recognized the route he was taking, he was going to the field where you used to go stargazing.

You got out of the car, Fjor walked ahead of you, and you walked a little behind. Short minutes of walking led to a beautiful field and the sky began to darken, making for a perfect setting

'It's my fault Princess/Prince/Royalty, I knew you'd be freaked out by all this craziness and all this fucking Norse mythology...!'

Fjor, shut the fuck up! I love you okay? I don't care about any of this, *approaches and puts his hands on the boy's chest* I fell in love with the gentle, slightly pouty boy and not the bloodthirsty mythological Giant.'

'*smiles slightly as I stared into his eyes* How do you manage to love this...?'

'I can. What won me over was your conversation mixed with charm and nothing else, *approaches the brunette's lips* now kiss me you idiot.'

'With pleasure my Goddess/God.'

The kiss tasted of longing but also had the flame of a desire that had been long delayed by both of you.

Fjor's hands didn't stop still, they roamed over your body. From your waist to your back and pressed your torso against his.

When you broke the kiss, Fjor was still hugging you. As if disappearing through his fingers again

'I'm not leaving...'

'I know you won't but you calm me down.'

And under that late afternoon sky, you promised not to move away again. That kiss sealed everything again

And speaking of kisses, they vary from moment to moment and in situations. Affectionate kisses: when you are most comfortable with each other, usually when you are giving each other affection.

Jealous kisses are in a way slightly intense and with firmer touches. Fjor runs his hands around your waist and squeezes your flesh tightly, the kiss leaves you breathless and when it's over the brunette still lightly bites your lip

Kisses when you're making out, even more intense. Fjor takes you by the thighs and pulls you into his lap, his hands alternate between squeezing the flesh of your ass and the flesh of your thighs.

He loves to leave hickeys all over your body, more specifically on your inner thighs and your neck. Whenever you complain, he just laughs while he distributes kisses over the marks

Something that would have been a really fun twist/take in Ragnarok (Netflix) is if they had a couple characters seemingly be the complete opposite (whether it be their gender, how they choose to present themselves, their personalities etc.) of the god they are the reincarnation of and turn specific stereotypes on their head with the way they're characterised.

Like could you imagine if the main group of gods went out to find one god or another to join them, fully basing their search on their previous incarnation's gender and physical appearance, only to be left absolutely shook when they find someone who seems to be the exact opposite of what they were expecting. But finding out after a while, that their godly nature is still the same as their previous form and has manifested in a way that benefits THEM as they currently are. As opposed to trying to force them into the specific archetype they were given in their life as a norse god/goddess.

Idk, I'm just a sucker for twists like this. Have been ever since I watched Avalon High as a kid 😂 Totally not lowkey planning a fic with this idea in mind- 👀

ragnarok head canons part 1: fjor jutul edition

hi these are just some random fjor jutul headcanons I've thought of the last few days because im obsessed with ragnarok.

- fjor loves taylor swift and regularly listens to it with ran, saxa hates it

- fjor is excellent at just dance

- he has stacks of books in his bedroom because he enjoys learning about humans and their emotions

- he is fluent in Russian, English, French, Spanish and Chinese as well as all the Scandinavian languages

- he loves hot weather

- his hair smells like strawberries and Vidar hates it because he thinks its girly

- fjor absolutely loves karaoke (and so does Vidar)

- his favourite show is greys anatomy or criminal minds

- he dyed his hair blonde once and dyed it back the same day

- fjor loves music from the 60s-80s and sings whilst he drives

- on the topic of driving, our boy is an excellent driver NOW but he's totalled 6 cars in the past ( him and saxa have definitely been punished for racing and surviving unexplainable accidents.

- fjor always sings in the shower

- he has a soft spot for gardening and went through a phase of growing his own produce

- he's incredibly clever (but they all are so duh)

- fjor has kept all of his military uniforms and tokens such as dog tags and photographs of his closest friends he's lost in war over the years (he hides them in the pockets of his uniforms)

- fjor loves to cook

HIKING WITH FJOR JUTUL ✨💖

i am on my fjor’s phase guys 😭

warnings: frogs, outside activities (for lazies like me) and smut

it all started when you saw magne hiking around (and smashing trees)

it took you almost four days to fully bring fjor into a hiking with you

mostly because he was hanging around with his friends and because there was cooler things to do (🔞)

but he agreed since you seemed to be more exciting (and annoying) every day

you found some old workout clothes on your closet

fjor didnt even put many efforts on his outfit, the man was wearing jeans

but you didn’t mind though, at least he was coming

hiking is a secret passion of him but he uses it only when he’s feeling upset

so he was afraid that hiking with you, he would remember all the hard times he went through

that only hiking eased him off

but after a while, he started to enjoy your company and to have fun

you put a smile on his face when you accidentaly stepped into a hole

he actualy started to take pictures of you guys after a while

after 20 minutes, you gave up and asked him to carry you around in backpack style

and he did it gladly and smiling

totally fucked you into a tree

and after a while you guys just stopped by a field and appreciate each others company and the view

he then ate you out on a rock

you guys came home almost 8 pm

and he showered with you and then watched a random movie with you

it was simple, but one of his favorites dates ever

when you finally fall asleep, he kept watching the videos he took of you in his camera roll

and felt proud of himself that he caught on full 4k the moment a frog jumped towards you and you had a mini heart attack

he apologized after that but he still cracked to himself a while after the frog incident

Hiii, I’ve just finished Ragnarok, and I was wondering whether you had any headcanons of what Hogwarts houses the characters would be in? Thank you <3

Okay, I’ve actually be thinking a lot about this!

Magne: so my first instinct is to put Magne into Gryffindor because he’s the protagonist and the hero. But the more I thought about it, the more I could picture Magne as a Hufflepuff. He’s loyal to his friends and family, and while I think he could probably be in either Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, I think he’d end up being sorted into Hufflepuff

Laurits: once again, my first instinct is to put Laurits into Slytherin. Cause snakes and green, right? But although Laurits is definitely the embodiment of “no thoughts, head empty”, I definitely see him being in Ravenclaw (he’s smarter than he or anyone else gives him credit for)

Gry: Hufflepuff. I don’t really have a reason, something about her just screams Hufflepuff

Turid: also Hufflepuff. She has a very “I’m innocent until you mess with the people I care about” vibe. As oblivious as she is to what’s actually going on in her sons’ lives, she would definitely fight someone for them if she needed to

Iman: Gryffindor. Again, I don’t have a reason but Iman is definitely more of a Gryffindor than anyone else in the show

Isolde: Ravenclaw. Isolde is super smart and although we didn’t see much of her throughout the series, her knowledge and wisdom is a central part to the story

Saxa: Slytherin. I feel like Saxa would be one of those Slytherins that’s on the middle ground between good and evil

Fjor: Slytherin, but he spends all his time with the Hufflepuffs because of Gry

Ran: Slytherin. We never really know what she’s fully capable of. Definitely would take a suspicious interest in the dark arts

Vidar: again, Slytherin (is it bad that I’m putting all the Jutuls in Slytherin?) but yeah, we’ve seen this guy’s bad side and it is not pretty. He’d definitely spend his free time performing unspeakable curses on random animals he finds

Erik: just like his daughter, I think Erik would be in Ravenclaw. He’s a wealth of knowledge that Magne continuously taps into and Erik would definitely being like a history of magic professor or something like that at Hogwarts

Headcanon: being shy/anxious and Laurits befriending you

A/N: Season 2 of Ragnarok is coming out today and I think I’m gonna renew my Netflix account just to watch it lol. Also Jonas/Laurits is cute and you can’t change my mind. My ideas for this evolved so many times... It was so annoying that I couldn’t settle for one. But maybe I’ll have more to write for the fandom this way. :)

First of all, you had no idea why he would even start talking to you

He gave off this cool kid vibes the second he entered the class

(Which got confirmed when he started hanging out with the Jutuls)

And you? You were just sitting in the corner all the time trying to survive

Initially you thought you’d get along better with his brother, given that you’d get along with either of Seier brothers at all

You first became aware of his attention towards you when one day after school he asked you to go for a walk with him

‘Hey! It’s Y/N, right? Do you think you could show me some cool places to hang out?’

Initially you were sure it was a prank so you refused

Not knowing him well, you wouldn’t feel comfortable anyway

Then you thought he was some kind of a creep when he kind of started following you around

Especially at school he always happened to be at the same table in cafeteria or always only a couple of steps away from you

Things took a turn when he was there to help you deal with Saxa

She jumped at you when bumped into her one day in the corridor, lost in your thoughts

She was telling you to mind your step and you didn’t have the gut to talk back to her

This was when Laurits came by and took your side

‘Fine, but have you ever considered minding your own step, Saxa?’

She just shrugged her shoulders then and left

To pay him back, you had to agree for that walk

It basically meant he walked you home after school

But he’s persistent and wouldn’t let you go until he got a proper walk

You had a hard time refusing Laurits after agreeing the first time

So you ended up on another walk with him later this day

Once you opened up to each other, it was actually quite enjoyable

To the point you had to check your phone to see the time and this made you realise that it got dark long ago

‘Laurits, I need to home. It’s late’

‘Late? It’s only 9PM’

‘It’s already 9PM’

‘Wow, Y/N, you must be fun at parties’

‘I don’t even go to parties. There’s... loud music and... people’

That’s when Laurits made his point to take you to a party and help you enjoy it

His first chance happened the next weekend

He realised (and you got reminded) why you wouldn’t go to parties when after 10 minutes you got overwhelmed with all the noise and had to leave

And apparently, he was surprised when it occured to him it’s your personality/condition, not choice

‘I saw you the first day and thought that you were hiding something, a mystery. It drew me to you’

‘I’m not mysterious, Laurits, I’m just... not outgoing’

‘Well, it doesn’t mean we can’t hold on to each other. How about that, Y/N?’

Since then he tries to help you get out of your bubble

Sometimes he pushes you too hard

Being as confident as he is, he doesn’t always feel where your boundaries are and what’s too much

But it feels nice to have someone by your side despite not being a social butterfly

Especially Laurits, with whom you can never get bored

sad, but so a pretty headcanon.

When Magne saw his brother getting into Vidar's car, he ran as fast as he can after them. In the depths of his soul, there was a realization — Laurits is in great danger for treachery. The Jutuls are not the type to be spared for such misdeeds.

When Magne ran into Jutulheim, he heard voices outside one of the doors, was running in almost at full speed. He froze when he saw little bro pressed against the wall, and Vidar standing in front of him with a gun in his hands.

When Magne attacks a man, he didn't think, he acted. Blow after blow. Fists aloced through the air, which enveloped the powerful hands in an invisible shell. The Giant was strangling the God. God was strangling the Giant. They both understood that they will not kill each other like this, so they tried to recapture the primacy in the possession of a deadly weapon for them.

Colliding with all the surfaces, the enemies lured away themselves into a desperate situation, when neither one nor the other can dodge the strong grip of the hand on their throat. Only Jotun doesn't see Seier's hand gripping the handle of the axe, the blade of which plunged into his stomach.

Jutul opened his mouth, the realization of death flashed in his amber eyes.

There was a grunt from behind, and Magne turned his head. He saw his brother, a grin on his face. Not like this. Not like before. A stranger.

«Bravo.» Laurits said, and the young God looked back at...

In front of him, with tears in his eyes, was Laurits with an axe stuck in his stomach. His skin paled, became dry and stale. And the bright emerald faded from his eyes, obscured the mist that spread all over his eyeball, until his body — dead and cold — turned to dust.

«Bravo!» Vidar repeated behind, laughing.

Magne didn't know that a minute earlier Vidar had shown Laurits how Jotuns could easily change their appearance without even trying.

Magne didn't know how good Vidar was at magic tricks... And he's so strong that he is able to enclose others in a completely different image.

As he had done to Laurits when he heard the doors banging in the hallway.

And while the Vidar's body responded to the blows, attacked back, behind that shell, Laurits screamed, begging to stop and asking for help.
