That anon does have a point when saying that lots of Aemond x OC fics (especially where the OC is a daughter of Rhaenyra) use some of the same plot points for their made up character. For example they will have their OC, instead of Luke (sometimes he will not exist at all in the fics and she takes his place), be the one who takes Aemond's eye which is even more startling when, as an adult, he will hopelessly fall in love with OC, is ready to sacrifice everything, abandon his family and switch sides just to marry her something that will almost never happen in the opposite case. While yes, Aemond developing an obsession with the person who took his eye is very normal, falling in love is a totally different thing and seems forced and just…unrealistic? And it's very weird when you see team black stans complaining from time to time about the amount of Aemond fics on AO3 paired with a daughter of Rhaenyra's falling in love with him and betraying her side when 99% of the same fics are written by other team black fans and have Aemond doing the switching sides thing lmao.
Of course people are free to write whatever they want about fictional characters, but after a while these type of fics are quite tiring since they're following the same plot points and tropes, more or less: she takes his eye or defends her brother doing the same without even trying to understand Aemond's POV, is either a Strong or Daemon's bastard masquerading as a trueborn Velaryon, rides Vermithor or Cannibal and knows how to control them unlike Aemond, behaves and sounds like a modern day feminist or is a girlboss who, unlike all the other ladies, knows how to fight using a sword and so on while Aemond behaves like a dumb simp all the time and is constantly villainized by the narrative (as well as most of the commentators) for being a misogynist who hates seeing women in power because why is he not swearing allegiance to his half-sister in two seconds????!!! Not to mention that in most of those fics the greens are villainized to the point where they seem like cartoon characters, especially Alicent who is always characterized as the worst mother ever who doesn't love her children at all or as a religious extremist. I've had to quit reading some precisely because of reasons like these despite them being popular and amongst the fics that were very well written otherwise. Nowadays if I really want to read an Aemond/OC fic (or an Aegon one) I'd probably search and choose one in which the OC is a lady from some random house…at least with these ones you have a lesser chance of being disappointed down the road if you're a green fan.
oh definitely the aemond x oc fics really started to get very derivative after a couple of months and the template you provided is really spot-on. but those traitor!aemond fics (where luke is replaced by another black-aligned OC) were never really written by greens anyway, so it's funny that anon thought to complain about that in the askbox of a green account :)) i also noped out of quite a few fics when they started with the alicent-bashing, i just don't have the patience for that & it was rarely even nuanced criticism anyway, at least not in my travels
i don't really know what the state of the nation is nowadays, if lucemonds really discovered body horrror, but at the time i was complaining about it, their dead doves were, at most, ridiculous dungeon sex slave fics that would be on par, comedic-wise, with Unhinged by Vera Valentine or Stuffed by the Were-Turkey by Tate McKirk. and, like, good for you if you enjoy the silliness of it, bc it's never really that serious, but, equally, be aware that people are going to poke some lighthearted fun at you for it
the thing about lucemond is that, while there is definitely basis in the enemies-to-lovers trope or the idea of obsessing over your tormentor, at the end of the day they have to be honest with themselves and admit that they started shipping it after they watched hotd. it's an entirely show thing, no one shipped those two when only Fire & Blood existed. and, say what you will, but there is no shipping subtext in the show about this either, PLUS the visual discrepancy between the actors' ages makes it really not secksual at all. like, that is clearly a grown man and a barely pubescent teenager, there is no "story chemistry" to speak of :)) and i'm not even talking about the squeamish implications of that taboo topic, but there is 0 such <chemistry> or buildup in the text of FB and there is 0 in the media text of the two hotd episodes where both of them appear. not from the part of the actors and not from the part of the technical crew that filmed and edited it. i would love for someone to point out at least 1 such frame that indicated lust or longing or some kind of repressed romantic feeling. so it's only natural people are treating it as some kind of crackship.
anyway it's funny people are still in the grips of lucemond more than one year on. by all means do what you want, but, man, you gotta make some allowances for the goofiness of it all :))

Fruit Basket: Prelude Review (Potential Spoilers Below)
This movie is fucking garbage and one of the worst things I've seen this year.
Fruit Basket is a Romantic comedy/Slice of life anime series. The anime follows an orphan girl, Tohru Honda, taken in by the Sohma clan. In the show, we see her interact and grow closer with multiple members of the Sohma family and discover they are cursed to turn into one of the animals of the Chinese zodiac whenever they are stressed or touched by a member of the opposite sex. I watched this show last year based on the insistence of some friends who love the show. I enjoyed Fruit Basket, though not nearly as much as my friends. It's a good, competent romcom. The animation is pretty, Tohru is a likable lead, most of the Sohma clan are well-written, and the backstories for certain characters are rich. It's a cute show, though I prefer Clannad when it comes to anime romcoms. Overall, Fruits Basket is a cute show that does a good (enough) job of pulling at heartstrings and makes you care about the characters.
The Prelude is ass, though.
Fruit Basket Prelude is a nearly 90-minute prequel movie that chronicles how Tohru Honda's parents meet and fall in love. It's a fine idea in concept. Tohru is a sweet girl with a big heart who deserves only the best. Tohru's mother had a massive influence on her as a child; one other member of the Sohma clan also had the pleasure of meeting her. Based on some flashbacks from the show, Tohru's mother, Kyoko, seemed like a lovely, tortured soul with a rough upbringing. She's one of the best aspects of the movie. Once we actually get to the film, that is.
Again, the film is 90 minutes long. And yet there was a choice to dedicate the first thirty minutes to recap several impactful scenes from the show. I suppose it serves to show the journey Tohru embarks on throughout the series and how she ends up with her significant other by the end. But it's unnecessary for Fruit Basket fans who are here just for new content or newcomers because it straight-up spoils crucial events from the entire show. If anything, the condensed thirty minutes would be better off as a youtube video made for fun rather than taking up a third of the film. If you're looking for new Tohru content post Fruit Basket, then you may as well fast forward and watch the last five minutes. After Kyoko's story wraps up, there's a small snippet of Tohru, in the end, with her husband and her happy new lifestyle. It's too short, but it's sweet, and frankly, the film should have focused on that instead. Instead, it focuses on a story that is fine in concept but does not work based on one serious aspect.
The one problem with Fruit Basket: Prelude is that Kyoko is 14, and her significant other, Katsuya, is fucking 22. That's an eight-year age difference. Katsuya is a student teacher, and Kyoko is a middle school student. There's an unfair power dynamic clearly on display, and any romantic intent or scene portrayed in the film falls flat on its ass as we watch a minor and a grown-ass man simp for each other.
She speaks about her love and adoration for him often. And when he returns that same love, it's creepy. There's even a scene where she mentions their vast age difference, and he brushes it off. Katsuya goes on to say, "You child. As if there aren't other ways for us to see each other." The line is about them seeing each other beyond school hours, clearly interested in pursuing a relationship. It feels gross because he's a grown man looking to pursue a relationship with someone in 7th or 8th grade.
Here's another scene that does not work. Early and frequently in the film, it's established that Kyoko has a terrible upbringing. Her father was abusive, and her mother was cold and distant. As a result, Kyoko has a rough background. She looks for acceptance because she received none from the two people who should have provided that for her. Katsuya is the only person to show her such acceptance, leading to their relationship. All of that sounds like it makes for a beautiful romance, except when you remember she's barely a teenager, and he's more than capable of drinking legally. So the scene in question is Katsuya confronting Kyoko's parents and verbally putting them down for how they treat her. During this, Katsuya says something to the effect of, "I can't believe you are the people that are disrespecting the woman I plan on marrying." First of all, he barely knows her. They have not spent enough time together to warrant him saying anything like that. Secondly, a line like that might work if they were closer in age. A majority of the scenes and beats would work better if either she was aged up or if he was aged down.
In another, he says he falls in love with her "because she cried" and "because she was human." In reality, he sees a fragile child who he could mold and feed his savior complex. He takes her away from what little she had to begin with, isolating her and leaving him as the only person who could care for her. Then, of course, they get married, and except for his dad, no one supports their marriage or goes to the wedding. That's one of the best things about the movie.
Honestly, this shit is just a wreck. There are a few positives to note. Like the show, it has pleasant animation to admire. The first thirty minutes are a cute summation of the journey Tohru and her significant other endure throughout the show, although the choice to include the montage feels unnecessary. There are three minutes of new content with Tohru and her man at the end, that's probably the best scene in the film. And Kyoko is a likable character throughout despite her judgment and hardships. But the story and genuine attempts to pull at your heartstrings fail because of the age difference.
This would've worked better if they were closer in age. 1.5/5.

ironvvood simps will really look at this man who said he could protect multiple kingdoms from grimm invasion after PURPOSEFULLY INCITING UNREST in them, but fail to quell riots and protest in his own kingdom (while using literally the most fash tactics available to him) and say he had a good plan lmao
simps will look at this man who couldn't save half his own kingdom, the half he contributed to falling in disrepair, from a grimm invasion with the military he said would protect the other kingdoms and say roo bee should have just shut up and gotten in line
simps will look at ironvvood try to run away, with no labor force and no resources, to a place where dust doesn't even work and think that the grimm can't just follow him there, and say that aTlEaSt hE hAd a PlAn
a plan that gets more people killed faster isn't a plan worth supporting
but yeah, roo bee are the bad guys because they lied to a sketchy authoritarian military commander after having just learned from an immortal body snatching wizard that they were just meat to be ground up in a war they were never meant to know had no end
get some fucking perspective people
