Saying Arya is pretty (which is supported by the text by the way) and that her appearance does matter to her story... you know...because of all the ugly ducklings motifs and because she looks exactly like Lyanna,the Helen of Troy figure of the book, doesn't take away from Sansa being beautiful.

I just don't get why when we say: "hey both girls are beautiful in different ways" and you have to jump in and say: "no, Arya is the ugly one actually". Arya growing into her beauty doesn't actually matter to Sansa's story at all, why do you care if Arya is beautiful too ?

And to be fair, we, Arya fans, talk about Arya's appearance a lot, But here is the thing, it is reactionary, we wouldn't double down on it if this idea that Arya was ugly wasn't commonly accepted by the fandom.

hey!!!!! I’m not deceased!!! (It’s pretty sad how many times I’ve had to say that….so sorry) I’ve just had the actual worst semester of my whole friggin life (really have an awful mental state AND physically and extremely low on funds) and I’m currently tryharding my finals and current comms, I’m very behind but please bear with me. I’ve had some severe health issues and have been practically bedridden bc of it. I’m really struggling to find inspiration and motivation, but I’m still extremely into fnaf!!!! I never won’t be!!!! My favorite part of House of the Dragon was when Alicent forced Viserys to marry her at gunpoint, bullied and physically abused Rhaenyra for every second afterwards, violently beat Helaena so badly that she sprints out of the room every time Alicent walked in, tortured Viserys to death, called her son's victims lying whores and killed them, spent all of her dialogue talking about how much she hates women and how big of a raging misogynist she is, and hired the entire FBI to stalk Rhaenyra. And then of course my favorite part of her fandom is the people who go on lengthy Lori Alexander-type screeds about how women shouldn't vote and how Trump is the greatest president of all time.

My other favorite part of House of the Dragon was when Rhaenyra bullied the shit out of Alicent their entire friendship, deliberately raised her sons to be domestic terrorists at elementary school age, slept with every single man in Westeros and Essos, lied to Alicent about everything including her own name, held Viserys at dragonpoint and forced him to only pay attention to her, was a worse ruler than Maegor, Aerys II and Joffrey combined, and plotted to have Aegon II assassinated from the second he emerged from Alicent's womb. Oh and my favorite part of her fandom is the people who have created a religion around her and believe her to be the second coming of Christ.
