Why. Why does no one get Pavitr’s character correct?? Like the movie established that he’s not only booksmart (which pretty much all Spideys are) but that he’s also observant and, what would the word be, emotionally intelligent? With the way that he picked up on Miles’ feelings immediately and apparently has a history of picking up on stuff like that?
Pavitr is an intelligent and confident character, and his flaws are most likely that being a relatively newer Spiderperson, he’s probably inexperienced, and maybe a bit too confident because things tend to end well for him (naturally smart, naturally good looking, etc), he definitely jinxes stuff
And yet I’ve seen so much stuff portray him as,,, it’s very specific but I can’t quite put my finger on it,,, it’s like some people treat him like,, a golden retriever? If that makes sense??

[ID: Digital painting of Daisy from TMA. She is a white woman with long, matted, blonde hair, brown eyes, and scars across her skin, most notably a sunburst and a graze from a bullet on her left shoulder. She is caked with dirt, her hair in disarray around her, and stares at the viewer with a vacant, haunted expression. The background is dark and foreboding around her. End ID.]

Okay i have yet to see a post about this that isnt filled with ppl being Annoying as Fuck on it, but,
theyve found wreckage of the submersible, it imploded (thank god, thats better than a drawn out suffocation over the course of several days, implosion means it was pretty much instantaneous) and the us navy have revealed they heard a weird sound on sunday from about where communication with the sub was lost, that was probably the sound of the implosion, [implied that they didnt say anything cos they didnt want to jump to conclusions without evidence of a wreckage, if there was a chance they were still alive.] no idea what the banging sounds were.
I do hope rescue efforts are extended to the migrants off the coast of greece, and am angry and horrified at their mistreatment, and that the media clearly cares less for their fates than that of the billionaires on the sub.
also, while i have you here,
The difference between a submersible and a submarine is not that one is safer. The titan was a submersible that was unsafe, but that is not because it was a submersible.
A submarine (or sub) is a watercraft capable of independent operation underwater.
A submersible is a watercraft designed to operate underwater, usually supported by a nearby surface vessel, platform, shore team or sometimes a larger submarine.
submarines generally dont go as deep as our deepest submersibles, but some can be down there for months at a time bc it is like. a self sufficient Ship. not all submersibles can go crazy deep, but to my knowledge, the only crewed vessels that can go that deep, are submersibles. (Alvin, deepsea challenger, limiting factor, trieste, fendouzhe or "striver").

So wait, Amy, what's this performance of the Nutcracker again? You said you donated to get the link?
Amy: Huh? Oh!
[Amy blinks, coming out of their comfy stupor as they sit up straighter.]
Amy: There's a local kids ballet group that practice down the street from me. It's little-little kids all the way up to teenagers. The person who started it is actually an acquaintance of mine, and she's pretty awesome, and they really work to sort of break a lot of the taboos and gross culture around ballet. That's why I make a point to donate every year! A nice little bonus is that anyone who does donate gets free tickets and a link to watch the recorded performance. I couldn't go to the actual show this year, unfortunately, so this is the first time I'm seeing how they did!
[Shadow's brow slowly knots itself.]
Shadow: What do you mean 'gross culture?' It's just dance?
[Amy sighs.]
Amy: It's not just *dance*, it's *ballet.* One of the worst disciplines of dance to get into. The expectations, the way they want you to literally break your body. My toes still get numb sometimes, and I know it's because of how I was trained. And don't even get me started on the diet culture, eugh...
[Amy points at the screen.]
Amy: These kids don't have that. Tristana, that's the artistic director, she makes a point to put health above everything else. See those kids? Look at their feet. There's all different shapes and styles there, not just the 'perfect point' feet. Plus, look at all the body types! Most ballet companies would only bring on petite 'dancer bodies.' Heck, even this performance of the Nutcracker- oh wait, I didn't tell you- okay so these kids work to make their own version of the Nutcracker every year. It's a big deal. Most companies just pay the royalties to do the Balanchine one because 'ooo, it's Balanchine, ooo,' but honestly, that guy can go-
[There's another coo from Rosie, and Amy pauses. She drops her arm and wraps it around Shadow to scratch Rosie between the ears.]
Amy: Well... he can go do several different things that I won't say in front of Rosie, because I don't want her getting a potty mouth.
Shadow: I see...

This was meant to just a drawing of Tara, but Chad somehow snuck in there. Two transgenders for the price of one I guess.
