I said earlier this semester that I WOULD find a way to shoehorn the omegaverse copyright case into my copyright law research essay no matter what it took & guys...

guess who is writing their paper on fair use exceptions & barely needs to stretch to get into that & scènes à faire (the legal term for “shit that has to be in a work for it to be in the genre it’s in, and therefore isn’t able to be copyrighted by any one person”, like tropes if you will)

the complaint docket has no less than 3 references to ao3 links in the first 10 pages
