I am sitting here and thinking how interesting it is that for being the best of friends, Buck and Eddie always went to other people first when deciding to peruse a relationship with a love interest. But when they need to call it quits on those relationships, Buck and Eddie come back to each other.

For example, with Ana, Eddie went and spoke to Bobby. To talk through and get permission to move on. In turn, when he’s faced with his panic attacks and what it may mean, and needed reassurance to end it, Buck is who he confided in.

With Taylor, Buck was more open to include everyone in the conversation when he began wondering if he’d be dumped. Bobby was ultimately the one who gave him advice. Even so, when he wasn’t sure why he was remaining in the relationship, he spoke to Maddie. It wasn’t until he was ready to let the relationship go, that he confided in Eddie and Eddie have him a safe place to land before he ended it.

In both cases, it’s almost like Buck and Eddie see/know each other through all the bullshit walls they try to put up that say they’ve got the situation under control. So in these cases, they lean on others so they can get away with it without being called out.
