To the anon who requested the edits, I'm so sorry I'm taking so long, I got some things going on IRL and my mental health isn't doing so well, but I WILL get to them I promise! It just might take a bit. But just confirming I got your request and I'm not ignoring you. Thank you for your patience! 🫶

i lived in tennessee in one of the most religious towns for a while-- i truly admire your faith that they will adhere to the word of the law, but most law enforcement barely knows the wording of the current ones and can legally lie to you about it. purim celebrations probably won't be actively targeted, but they could very well become unintentional collateral if a nosy teacher or a bigoted neighbor decides to tell someone that so-and-so is crossdressing for kids. besides that, tennessee is so deeply and horrifically evangelical christian that most people barely understand judaism to begin with.
Hey there!
Thank you for this.
I'm truly sorry if I made it seem like I felt they would adhere to the word of the law because I very much don't believe that.
My comment was specifically in response to whether there was a basis for a legal case against the law for infringing on religious tradition.
In fact it's my belief that people won't act in good faith that has me so concerned about the way the legislation is worded. The letter of the law is the only protection marginalized groups have when those laws are weaponized against them and even in the best case it's a flimsy shield. When there are loopholes, intentional or not, like this legislation has even that slim protection is non-existent.
Once again I'm sorry my words seemed to suggest there wasn't anything for people to worry about because that's not at all the case.

they should invent a new type of "staying in bed for 2-3 hours after you wake up repeatedly opening and closing apps on your phone" where it makes you feel awesome and energized and emotionally fulfilled

Feel free to share which is your favorite NOW in the tags, but this particular poll is about which you preferred as a child! ⭐ These are being grouped by a vague theme, so in a few days we'll do another one with more options!
Also, same rule as the last poll: REALLY popular choices (ATLA, SpongeBob, Scooby Doo, Pokemon, etc.) are overwhelmingly popular and have been omitted for the sake of seeing the results for other shows.
Notes: These are shows involving live action characters, no cartoons this time! The timeframe for these polls is generally "I was a kid in the mid-to-late 90s or early 2000s." Mister Roger's Neighborhood and Sesame Street are both multi-generational so they were not included to be fair to the show's with shorter runs 💖

every aromantic person who has to witness someone say “there is no non-romantic explanation for these characters” should be financially compensated
EDIT: if i see another one of you fuckers arguing “but sometimes they ARE just super romantic” i’m tired of being nice. i’m just gonna let you know that 1. amanormativity has rotted your fucking brain and 2. it’s people like you that are the reason why aros are suffering. other aros you are not absolved of this. just fucking listen to us for once and stop denying our experiences and pleas.
