Fantasy AU designs!
(I am part of the late kids club but here we are)
No one reminded me that hijack week was this week so now I am scrambling :,)
Jack is a lil traveling spirit elf from the Northern tribes which are very much being attacked and destroyed atm. His people are trying to relocate elsewhere while trying to preserve their cool elf magic, his goal is to hopefully find a place to vibe in. He makes a lot of enemies but in his defense it was kinda funny.
Hiccup’s tribe happens to live close by. He does miscellaneous things; travels, sells, goes on questionable adventures with his friends, etc. He has a soft spot for injured creatures so he kinda takes them in and has a little place where he nurses them back to health (Prosthetics, medicine, all that cool stuff). The only problem is that his tribe are super closed off from the world and don’t wanna deal with magic stuff, and obviously, that doesn’t stop him.
Anyway hehe cute gremlin couple I love them

You have my attention.
I don't know the first thing about Type Magic, but I'm more than happy to learn. It may help me with... whatever nonsense i have going on.
@teamphobia
oh shit uh. wasnt expecting this. dont actually know that much im just some 19 year old hex maniac with too much time to overthink shit. but uh.
something something type energy... pokemon kinda. radiate it.. give it off i guess? some mons more than others. maybe some types more than others? fuck if i know. its also in objects and pokemon moves n shit but whatever.
being exposed to a certain type for a long ass time basically taints you with it..? thats why so many psychic trainers have slight telekinesis. why so many hex maniacs can speak to ghosts. also probably why some fighting type experts gain some aura sensitivity.
figuring out how to actually harness type energy n shit on your own is hard though. focusing type energy from objects into pokemon aint that difficult.. thats basically just how z moves work. and uh.. whatever the orb shit theyve got in paldea is. but for using it on its own.. i aint figured out much aside from focus some shit into pokeballs to make them better against ghost types.

may I ask how you did this edit? it's a beautiful effect and I'd like to replicate it (only if you don't mind sharing, of course). tumblr.com/ijustdontlikepeople/739905108314324992
Hi anon! Thank you!! I’ve always been very fond of this guy and I am always happy to talk about making stuff!
It’s been a little while so my memory of the process is a little blurry and unfortunately, I cleaned out my project storage last week so I can’t go back layer by layer anymore but here’s the best of my memory
So, it started when I saw this base image and Davo looked very “heavy is the head that wears the crown” and I loved it
I brought it into PicsArt on my phone and cropped it so he was a bit more centered.
I went through the PicsArt stickers for an “orb” or “light burst” this is the one I used
To place the orb behind Davo like I wanted I added in another layer of that original photo, and removed the background until I just had Davo’s head
They should be layered original photo, burst, head, like above. Now you can see some spots in his hair and such that the orb light is not visible through so you go back through and erase bits of the Davo head layer. you don’t have to be too too particular about it bc the same photo of him is underneath.
If I remember right, the brightness of the orb wasn’t as high as I wanted so I doubled up on the same sticker
I think I one was centered over his left eye and then the other a few inches above it, and the i placed them both back behind the head layer again
Then added a sticker halo
Then I moved over to lens flare
I picked a light orangey one and placed one over his eye, lining it up with his Iris, then blending it with the light setting and duplicating the the layer and repeating for the other eye. I could have sworn that I gradually erased the edges so it faded into the rest of the photo but the software isn’t giving my an option to erase? So I’m not sure if that’s a change on their side or if I’m misremembering
From there, you apply and then go to FXs. (I may have tinkered with some color levels last time before this step but I don’t remember)
I’m not sure exactly which filters I used. I feel like there were two or three. I am about 80% sure I used these with roughly these specifics.
His face is cut out of PLRD which is done first than VINYL
So they didn’t turn out exactly the same but this about the gest. It’ll all be a little different depending on your starting photo. If you ever have any questions or just want to talk about what you’re making, my DMs and ask box are always open! I can give u my discord too if that’s easier! I hope this was a least a bit helpful!!

Ok so I did some light research on throne worlds (and then went to sleep which is why you’re getting this like ten hours later) and uhhhh… I came across some kinda vague but kinda interesting information.
So! It seems there are three components to having a throne world.
1) Having a link to paracausality
2) Sword logic
3) willpower
And a secret fourth one- knowing what the hell you’re doing.
From my understanding the ascendent plane works like this- if you truly believe something to be real it will exist. That’s what the sword logic does. By continuing to kill things you defend your existence- cementing the concept of ‘you’ into reality.
Apparently there is some part of lore somewhere that states that guardians tend to have a lot of built up power?? Self concept???- they just have a lot of sword logic is what I’m saying. Since they’ve killed a lot of things. Except they don’t use it. I was going to read it but my phone at that point had 1% battery so…
For the hive their link to paracausal power is their worms. For guardians it’s their ghosts. I don’t know a lot about how darkness works but I’d suspect that using it counts as a paracausal link. Which makes sense more when you think about Savathun removing her worm. I would have thought her throne world would have collapsed if it was all banked on having ‘a link’ unless a throne world can remain if it’s already set into existing.
Don’t mind me rambling I’m throwing spaghetti thoughts at the wall here and watching what sticks.
This is probably a case of ‘sounds easier to do than it is’ otherwise there would definitely be more throne worlds sitting around otherwise.
—
Just did a little more light reading and came across something of interest. Apparently Savathun prevented the decay of her throne world with light in order to get around the tribute system. (Which in retrospect makes a tone of sense since light is the realm of the physical. (I just heard that last bit in Osiris’s voice was that something he said in game?????? I think he did I have random lightfall clips bouncing around in the back of my brain somewhere.))
Apparently if the owner of a throne world is killed it puts it up for grabs for whoever claims it. Mara did this with Oryx’s throne world???? Apparently?????? I really need to up more lore game but this is super cool. The whole concept of the ascendent plane is becoming increasingly more interesting to me.
It sounds like you can have a throne world on without sword logic if you have a sufficient source of paracausal power and enough willpower to cement the concept of ‘you’ into existence. Fascinating.
-
Mara also did some more weird stuff by like using techeuns and Ahamkara wish magic to manipulate the ascendent plane directly. I have no idea what that’s about but cool for her I guess. (Someone else said the blind well was involved in this. Huh.)
-
In conclusion- it seems entirely plausible for wolf to be able to have a throne world actually. I can feel the idea rotation speed increasing.
If any of this is just blatantly wrong for those more knowledgeable in The Lore then uhhh oopsie I tried?
*chants* LORE LORE LORE LORE LORE
Mara did yoink some of Oryx's throne world while it was falling, to my knowledge, yeah! Her plan at that battle wasn't to win, it was partly to give the City some time, but also a grab for power for her grander plan.
I figure Wolf has 'some' of that sleeping power from the Mindbender, Oryx, and whoever else ended up with a Throne World (+ all the other things they've killed), and if they made one, I figure it would be. absolutely Huge
Okay so this is only tangentially related- I remember having a talk with someone awhile back about Strand back before Lightfall had come out, and it was alot of theorizing, so I went to find the conversation, and this part was basically what I was looking for:
like imagine the Weave as a 3D lattice that's overlayed over all of reality and connects to all living things and all minds, but is intangible. Leylines and even potentially the Ascendant plane and throne worlds could relate, as leylines could be bending two points in said psychic lattice for fast travel, and throne worlds are shaped by the mind.
soulfire or well Hive magic works with runes by, gonna explain it in a basic sense, taking the meaning of a word and transposing description into law on reality or something.
all those could be part of the Weave, while Strand is us literally pulling onto the 3D lattice of Weave and forcing it into reality.
And then, at some point, I saw a post talking about how Hive magic grew in power by (something along these lines) severing their strings and wrapping it around yourself, the strings being your connection(? look man i just got up. words are not wording right now, I know connection probably isn't the right word).
^ i really wish I could find that post. pain
admittedly i have. Never been too interested in Hive lore, because while they are absolutely fascinating, I've always been more interested in character dynamics- definitely feel free to correct either of us if there's a hive master rolling in their grave reading this
ANYWAY yeah Corrupted could definitely have a throne world and that is both Pog and Absolutely Terrifying. like oh my god no they didn't need to be more powerful, but also making people comically stronger than everyone else has always been so funny to me. Like yes, go become a God, bby. Wipe the floor those Disciples <3
But like... just imagine that. You think you've killed him, you've got their Ghost in a Light-suppressing device, and...
There they are again. And oh boy are they pissed.
Suppressing their Light worked, sure, but you may have overlooked something rather important: Light is not their only weapon. Not by a long shot.
