Asra:

The minute he hears you starting to sneeze and sniffle, Asra’s head shoots up

He stares at you for a solid minute, anxiously scanning your body and noting how flushed your face is

“(Name) - what’s wrong? Here, lay down and let me take your temperature.”

He already lost ya once, his heart’s been broke too many times to ever risk losing you to sickness again

Consequently, Asra hovers around you the entire time

He will force you to stay in bed if he has to, and he tries to stop you from helping around the shop too

Asra tries to ease your discomfort as much as he can using magic and his knowledge of herbs

He’ll stick by your bedside, stroking your hand gently

It’s to soothe both you and him

“Get better soon, angel. I’ll take care of you until then.”

You repeatedly remind him that it’s just a cold, but he will refuse to stop doting on you

Julian:

“Don’t worry, babe, I’m here to help!!”

He is a doctor, and he’ll remind you of that 24/7

Julian knows how to treat you, so he’ll make sure you get plenty of sleep, water, and he’ll make sure you take your medicine too

Your stuffed nose might make you feel gloomy, but Julian acts goofy and does the stupidest crap just to get your spirits up

Also suddenly becomes a master of dad jokes (bonus: he def discovered the world of dad jokes as he was looking for ways to cheer you up)

“(Name), what do you call a sick pony?? A little hoarse!” cue plague doc laughter that’s way too real for that kind of joke lmao

But at least you’ll never be bored

He’d do anything to make you feel better; seeing you weak and bed-ridden genuinely pains him

Even if you’re sleeping most of the day, he stays by your bedside to make sure your cold doesn’t suddenly get worse

It’s almost a given that Julian will catch your sickness after

Being a doctor should teach him to avoid contagions, but he can’t help it! He always gives you a kiss before leaving for the day!

Julian just loves taking care of you and feeling needed, especially since you can be pretty independent

“Don’t be afraid to lean on me. I’m at your beck and call, princess~”

Nadia:

She goes all out to make sure you’re taken care of

Nadia makes you stay in bed, forcing you to let her attend to you

And she takes care of you very enthusiastically, which can be excessive sometimes

But you really appreciate her, and Nadia makes sure you have the best quality everything, from medicines to even the blankets and pillowcases

Want a snack? She’s already got a chef preparing a few of your favorites. Need a tissue? She brings you an entire box. Thirsty? Nadia has multiple bottles of the purest water she can find brought to you on a tray. TL;DR: Nadia’s got you covered.

“It’s my pleasure. Trust that you won’t want for anything under my watch, darling.”

After she’s done with work for the day, she unwinds by sitting at your bedside for a moment to watch your peaceful sleeping face

If you’re awake, you two can talk until early morning, conversing about literally anything

Nadia’s super easy to talk to, especially since she meets so many unique people throughout her day that make great conversation starters

She’ll sometimes give you a nice massage to loosen your stiff muscles that’re used to lying in bed all day

When you recover, she places a kiss on your forehead and affectionately tells you that she’s proud you pulled through

“I’m so glad you’re feeling better - although, I admit that I’ll miss taking care of you.”

Portia:

She immediately noticed when you started getting sick

You were cuddling when she felt your forehead and exclaimed that you felt feverish

“Don’t you worry! With me helpin’ ya, you’ll be healed before you can blink!”

Even though Portia’s super busy with her palace duties, she still makes time to check on you and make sure you’re doing ok

So whenever she has a break, she’ll just pop her head into your room

“Hellooo? Hey hon, you still good? Not too bored, are ya?”

She’ll make sure you don’t feel too trapped in bed

Before you can feel even an ounce of boredom, Portia’s already got some board games and a few movies ready

Portia activates all her mother hen instincts around you while you’re sick

“Babe, I made some chicken noodle soup for you! Here, say aah~”

Lucio:

“D-did you just throw up? Wait, let me get a doctor! You’d better not die on me or I’ll be super mad!”

So dramatic, he’ll act like you’ve contracted the plague (hm sounds like a certain someone and it’s not you)

He’s freaking out with worry, but he’s also terrified of getting sick

Immediately hires the best doctor in Vesuvia, sparing absolutely no expense

Lucio also oversees all your appointments with a laser eye, and he’ll question the doctors on every little thing

“Are you SURE that’s the best you can do? Listen here, doctor, my darling had better heal soon, or else you will face consequences!”

Extra AF with everything

The dude brings out a notepad during appointments; he’s putting in all the effort he can so you’ll get better ASAP

His main motivation is to cuddle with you again

Misses taking you into his arms and actually kissing you

He buys a meter stick to keep you distanced, but he’ll also blow kisses at you every other second

So yup, even though you hoped to get some peace and quiet with the extra distance, Lucio still finds a way to *lovingly* pester you

Muriel:

He didn’t realize how sick you were at first

Like he heard you sniffling and thought nothing of it

Until, later that day, he saw you sweating profusely with a flushed face as you tried to start cooking dinner

“Why didn’t you tell me you were this sick? You should take care of yourself... I guess I have to help you now.”

He acts embarrassed to be taking care of you, but he’s immediately by your side when you even remotely struggle to do something

Like the moment you try to get out of bed, Muriel is already rushing to push you back down

He has the most stricken look on his face, too, like he can’t believe you’re risking yourself so much by getting out of bed

Muriel prepares multiple poultices and herbal teas to help you feel better, and he even cooks your favorite comfort foods for you

With how whipped and eager-to-please this man is, you could probably convince him to hand-feed you

You can get maybe a couple bites before he self-combusts with a completely red face

Innana lets you cuddle her, so that makes you feel a lot better, even as you cough and hack up phlegm

Meanwhile, Muriel is panicking and rushing to bring you tissues and more herbal remedies

So relieved when you recover; his hut is really small, though, so you may or may not have to care for a sick Muriel after

“(Name), I was... worried. I’m glad you’re feeling better.”

So what are the ghosts’ experience in the evolution of music?

I’m not hugely into music, or the history of music, but I did try to come up with what each of the Ghosts would like about modern music, with a few references to what I assume music was like when they were living, but it’s likely to inaccurate, as I didn’t do any research like I usually would (I typed it up on a note on my phone while waiting in the fish and chip shop!) 

So here are my thoughts about the Ghosts’ musical preferences: 

Kitty - she loves all happy songs, and didn’t use to really like the classical music around for the majority of her death as she found them quite boring, she definitely prefers modern music, and dancing along with them. She probably LOVES girl bands, imagining if she could be another member of them, adoring the idea of their friendships. 

Thomas - He’s a HUGE fan of all music, especially pop and love songs. Music is a form of poetry so he truly appreciates the lyrics of all songs. We know that his activity is dancing to the music Alison puts on for him, so he gets to hear a lot of music. He’s also the type of person that would get an ‘ear worm’ (like when he had ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ by Kylie stuck in his head) and he’d sing under his breath constantly. (Also, he does the cutest little dance!)

Robin - He’s no longer a fan of classical music, which was popular for a large part of his life, but he appreciated it when it was popular, because it was entertainment he could participate in. He loves anything he can dance to, headbangers especially, and songs where the lyrics make no sense. (HC: The first time he hears ‘What Does the Fox Say’ his gets OBSESSED with it, and Alison has to ban it from the house, to the relief of everyone) 

Pat - Music hasn’t changed too much since he died, but he was a huge fan of the music from the 60s/70s/80s. He appreciates the pop songs of the modern day, but is especially fond of the music from when he was alive. My HC is that he’s a huge ABBA and Queen fan. Also, he loves all the new campfire songs that scouters have come up with over the years, which Alison shows him via YouTube videos. 

Mary - I struggle with working out Mary quite a bit, I find her hard to work out. I think she likes a lot of the music that has come out since her death, but obviously gets very anxious when hearing any songs that mention fire, burning, etc., and hates most Halloween music because witches. 

Julian - Like with Pat, music hasn’t changed much since he died, and liked all of it. He especially loves songs about sex, because he’s thirsty af 

Captain - He denies liking anything that wasn’t around when he was alive but secretly loves a lot of the music that has come out since his death. Loves 50s music especially, and was sad that he missed it. He also enjoys EDM music that they play at the various parties Button House hosts, but will vehemently deny it 

Lady B - Only likes classical music, and especially hates rap. She’s okay with slower, ballad-type pop songs but will deny it, not wanting to be seen liking anything from the modern day.

Don't lie to me if hearing "Julian Alfred Pankratz. Viscount of Lettenhove" doesn't make you weak in the knees? I'd gladly kneel in front of my boy anytime I hear that.

Dandelion is one brave fucker and you can't tell me otherwise. He's also smart as fuck and his fucking voice? I love him! He's very funny and we stan men who makes us laugh. Also, his fashion sense? Wig. Dandelion knows how to dress and he looks amazing all the time. I kinda wish we heard him sing in the game, but I'll make sure to make him sing whenever he asks.

He also saved our baby girl! If you think he is afraid of danger, you are very wrong. He is very selfless and very helpful! Everyone loves Master Dandelion and I can't blame them. You will encounter a few bards during the game that love him.

One I found recentely that I particularly loved was telling Geralt how much of a fan he was... of Master Dandelion and shut Geralt's thot ass up when he thanked him.

His wit always gets him out of trouble and he keeps his cool even in the tightes situations. Also, listening to him angry about something oh man, I died. Kinda wished it was me who made him so upset because that voice and that face was definitely doing it for me.

Dandelion needs all the praises in the world and he totally deserves them. A hot Viscount that is funny af, brave, musically talented and just plain gorgeous? Sing me the fuck up!

He then lowered himself down to your body, where he placed his tongue on the little blood dripping down your chest, raising himself up your body, licking and lapping the blood up, all the way up to the bite marks on your neck.

He made sure he lapped up all the blood dripping from your neck.

- I’m still into the whole “time is like a lake, it’s not linear” storyline where the apprentice started that spark. 

- Aw, Nadia remembers the apprentice now. That’s cute.

- Of course the apprentice is the only one to stop the Devil, why wouldn’t that be a thing...

Okay, so basically what you’re telling me is this is the best book for thirsty Nadia fans. I’m soooooo down for that. 

Anyway, the whole book was a self-discovery story which was cool. I think all but confirmed that the apprentice either IS the Fool or has an intimate connection with it like all the other characters do. I’m kind of curious what kind of limits are on the powers of the apprentice. Like, if the apprentice can use magic/their power to defeat the Devil, is there any limits to counter him? Or will the apprentice get the power to defeat him, regardless? Intriguing idea. 

I love the dynamic between Nadia and the apprentice here. It’s such a difference from everything else. Usually, its the apprentice trying to do whatever they can to support Nadia and help her. This time, Nadia is the one who is supporting the apprentice, while the apprentice does everything. I’m hoping in the coming books, that balance continues. Don’t get me wrong, I love supporting Nadia in whatever she does, but doing things for myself while Nadia is support is awesome and a nice change of pace.

Hope we get to see more Scout in the next book. 

Next is the Moon

which to me seems like basically a follow-up to this last book. This was about discovering the apprentice’s powers again, and the next will expand on that, about how to defeat the Devil.

Even right down to the changing rooms with the sheets for doors. • IT IS SO NOT FAIR THAT JULIAN I RAISING THESE CHILDREN BY HIMSELF. Holy fuck. • No iratze should have been able to fix you. Even accounting for the strength of parabatai runes, you absolutely shouldn’t have survived.” OH SHIT WHATS GOING ON???????????? • He’s right. Asra - I love him. I love everything about him. I will fight to protect him. I will marry him. I have such strong feelings for Asra, and it’s DISGUSTING AND HARD TO EXPLAIN. I think he gets unfairly criticized because of his aloofness and vagueness of his answers. Honestly tho, I think people have a right to their own privacy, and if he can’t answer, he can’t. 

I have been in love with him from the very first sight of his sprite in the game. My heart LITERALLY ACHED when he goes the “wrong way” in one of those dream visions. I can go on and on and on, but I won’t. Let me just say, he has proven to be exactly the type of character I imagined he was from the beginning and I love him for all his greatness and his flaws. No one is perfect, but he’s pretty damn close to my ideal boyfriend - and the stabby stabby blood mage stuff was RIGHT DOWN MY ALLEY I WAS CHEERING MY BOY ON FUCK HIM UP ASRA YEH YEH YEH

Let me leave you with this (and this was more applicable before what we learned in the most recent update) - I don’t care what Asra did. He could be the personification of red plague itself and I would still protect him. He could hand deliver red plague DIRECTLY INTO MINE EYE and I would love him still. The depths of my love for Asra cannot be measured.

Faust - ADORABLE. WILL PROTECT. It took me a while to like her tho. I didn’t have specific feelings until the latest update when she started talking to me. I will protect Faust with my life now tho. Precious baby.

Julian - Ahhhhhhh JULIAN. JULES. Julian is attractive and sexy af, but I’m not … impressed. He has this really fake playboy exterior and honestly, that’s a huge turn off for me. BUT! He has a good heart. He saved my life! That’s good! BUT! He has a tendency to be overbearing and overprotective, and uh;;;; that’s…. bad! I have such mixed feelings over him right now because he reminds me of a not so good past experience I’ve had. He’s a sweetheart, but I really wish he would move slower and respect my boundaries better. 

I don’t think he killed Lucio tho, and I’ll do my best to prove his innocence. He’s just realllly hecking unlucky. And stupid. 

He needs to let his heart (or dick??) do less of his decision-making.

Muriel - I don’t know enough about Muriel to have a real opinion about him. He BIG. He THICC. HE HOT. I can say that much. That’s about as far as it goes. 

He did show a lot of concern about Asra’s safety, so he gets points for that in my book. I’ll withhold any further evaluation of him until we get more.

Nadia - Well. I don’t have good feelings about Nadia. People gifting me things, ESPECIALLY expensive things, make me feel very uncomfortable. How can I ever repay that? I can’t. So I have to pay in other ways… and I don’t like owing people anything.

I think Nadia is pure tho. I want to believe she is doing what she believes is the right thing, but idk. I never fully trusted her in the beginning, but I pledged to help and all that… but her repeated questioning of my loyalty got me suspicious and anxious.

Worse? I got REAL MAD when she stole the card from me. ALL TRUST VANISHED. I WAS LIVID. I’d have abandoned her immediately if I had gotten the card back right then and there. I was ready to write her off for taking my things, particularly a SPECIAL gift from Asra.

But she apologized and gave her reasons, so I guess we’re ok now. I’m still not cool with that tactic, but I can understand why she did it.

I don’t dislike Nadia, but I don’t like her either. Neutral.

Lucio - Oh man. I love his GHOST - lemme tell you. The scene where you meet the ghost has been my absolute favorite part of the game thus far. The way the ghost pines for the loss of his perfect body, the feeling of heat as he approaches due to his violent death by fire… gosh he’s just so perfect as a ghost??

As a dude? Idk, he’s so far exactly what I pictured too? Like who wouldn’t be yelling on their deathbed about someone’s incompetence at saving your life? Also he’s a ruler? Also he was a merc? Also he’s just.. extra? He was a little bit rougher than I was expecting, but eh. So far so good, I guess.

Also he’s hot. It bothers me how attracted I am to him. And his ghost. And his fucking furry portrait. Someone, help me.

Portia -She’s ok. She’s got a good heart. But I have questions. Why did she go to work at the Palace after her brother was accused for murder? I know she likes to snoop and gossip (who doesn’t), but I don’t think she did it out of concern for Julian. I wonder WHAT IS IN THE PALACE that has made the Devorak siblings stay in this place? Other than that, I don’t really have any feelings for her. I’m honest with her tho bc I’m honest in general.

Valerius lol - Rude exterior bc he’s a hecking noble. I believe his apology, and I trust him. If you can’t tell, I really love characters that are not so… um… obviously good. I trust them a lot more than the ones who seem GOOD/unproblematic bc I feel like they’re more realistic/honest.
