V8 Juice Recipe 🍅
The original V8 vegetable juice was tomato-based and got its name from the fact that it contained juice from eight different vegetables. Today, this drink is made mainly from water and tomato concentrate, and reconstituted vegetable juice blend: water and concentrate of eight vegetables, specifically: beets, celery, carrots, lettuce, parsley, watercress, spinach, and tomato.
I'm a big fan of the flavor of this juice, so I decided to create a raw version made with fresh veggies. I like to add a little spice to mine (a pinch of cayenne pepper) and sauerkraut juice for added probiotics. If you love V8, give this copycat recipe a try!
Ingredients:
5 tomatoes
5 stalks celery
4 carrots
2 cups spinach
1 bunch parsley
1 bell pepper
1 garlic clove
(Optional) 1 teaspoon raw sauerkraut juice
(Optional) A dash of cayenne pepper for a kick 🌶️
Directions:
1️⃣ Peel, cut, deseed, and/or chop the ingredients as needed.
2️⃣ Feed the produce through your juicer one at a time.
3️⃣ Stir the juice and add in the sauerkraut juice for gut-supporting probiotics.
4️⃣ Pour this vibrant concoction into a glass or store it in an airtight jar for up to three days.
