so, i think i'm going to end this book here. i know its sudden but still. i'm not as into writing this book as i was when i started it. i still love tfota with all my heart and i plan on making an actual tfota book about jude and cardan and their children. i'm just not into writing small scenarios anymore. i'm more in writing actual chapters and stuff. so thank you for joining me on this journey and i hope to see you in the tfota book i mentioned !

Summary: One year into their marriage Jude had started to feel sick. She had gone to the mortal world visiting Vivi and Heather. They convinced her to take a test to be sure. Only one problem for Jude, she is now a queen on the run with an hotheaded husband on her trails.

One year after the end of Queen Of Nothing

Chapter 4

[Jude’s POV]

One thing that will always be unfortunate for Cardan, is his ignorance. As young he was an ignorant, arrogant cocky bully, whom tried to find pleasure in others pain, never succeding, only drifting further away from reality, from the real him.

That also meant that he at no point in his life was aware of the things going on around him; the spies, the lies and the deaths, all in order for his family to stay in power. He never fully explored all the ways of the secret tunnels, or he forgot that they lead to this room too.

Making sure that Cardan was gone, and the guards posted outside not being on their way into the room to catch me red-handed, I went up on the bed and knocked around of the wooden walls, until my fist finally made contact with a hollow place. Removing the dark plank in my way. I made sure to check the room one last time for anything suspicious, before slipping into the tiny hole in the wall as smoothly and quietly as now possible with a bump making up for the extra struggle and weight.

The tunnels were exactly like I had remembered them, dark and filthy. Spiderswebs hanging from the low ceiling and covering the walls in a glistering white. I continued to crawl the tunnels, the way to my destination was imprinted in my mind. The way their rewoked memories, memories of before I had ran away from Cardan, before I had ran away from the reality of this pregnancy. But it didn’t matter now, it didn’t matter if I wanted Cardan, it didn’t matter that I wanted to stay here, where I had power, instead of running away of what I risked everything on. But I did, I was running away from everything I gained and builed.

I turned the last turn and reached an dead end.

Moving my right hand to support my stomach, and my left han up to push the painting open. It didn’t budge, trying again, this time harder, it opened with a sudden screech and I feel right through and onto the floor with a loud thud. I lifted my head to look around the room only to be meet with three pairs of startlede eyes piercing into mine.

Fuck.

So, I tried reading The Stolen Heir by Holly Black because I adored TFOTA...

But nope. I just couldn't get into it. I ended up skimming it just to look for references. I need more Jude and Cardan. Like it just-

UGH.

They have the same effect on me as Jem and Tessa, Will and Tessa, Aaron and Juliet, Rowan and Aelin, Percy and Annabeth. LIKE THERE IS NOTHING THAT AND I FEEL BAD??

Based in a suburban area of Silver Creek this book is a classic when it comes to a rom com! The Hawthorne family is absolutely adorable and so warm , that you can actually picture them vividly! The Cruel Prince Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Light spoilers This is such a delayed review but hopefully I remember enough to write this well! When I picked up this book I had high expectations but I was also cautious because some people seem to have some pretty strong feelings against it. I’m on the side of this book being amazing. I really like the MC/narrator - I like how she’s very human and talks about things like how she likes her father even though he killed her parents. She’s not a “golden girl” protagonist like a lot of novels - and she’s not a hero (maybe closer to an anti-hero). I feel like the obvious choice for a protagonist would be someone more like Vivi (who is half faerie but still resents her dad for what he did and wants to escape faerie) but I really like the author's choice to use a more grey character like Jude. The enemies to lovers aspect certainly isn’t rushed in this series and I think it’s developing in a realistic way. Although I’m hoping it happens before the very end of the series. Some people seem to think the world building is lacking but I think it’s relaying a bit on readers knowing what faerie is and I think that’s okay. The world building that is necessary for the story is all there. The end twists aren’t completely unpredictable but not obvious in my opinion. Though I really don’t think Jude has thought it through very well (but that again makes her seem more like a real person). Overall it’s a story about dearie I haven’t seen told before. I don’t see this becoming some of my fantasy favorite books (like shadowhunters and Harry Potter), but this first book was a really great read and I’m very excited for the rest of the series. Jude can go to any length to protect her family,she proves her strength when she goes against Prince Cardan(who happens to her classmate),then saves her brother,rises to unimaginable power ,and uses her wit and cunning to save the land and people she loves as her own(though the faerie's acceptance of a mere human is not always forthcoming). One year after the end of Queen Of Nothing

Chapter 1

It had started a few months ago, the sickness. I remember waking up one morning confused and with an out-of-place feeling inside me. I had looked at Cardan who had been sleeping soundlessly before the feeling rushed to my throat. I had been out all morning throwing up, before it had just suddenly stopped. I had laid my self back to bed sleeping again to dreamless nights.

That was 14 weeks ago now. I had taken to the mortal world three days ago to celebrate Vivi’s birthday, but as Heather’s family was also attending it was only right to hold the party in their little apartment. I had asked Cardan to come, but he had gotten told the day before that he had to go on a four weeks trip to settle peace with some of the lower courts, who had started posture again. Something about that we hadn’t gotten an heir yet - they had looked beyond little Oak - and that they think that their daughters and sons should sit on our crown.

My and Cardan’s throne.

Our kingdom.

Ours.

It had been this morning, where I once again had awoken with nausea and rushed to the bathroom, emptying the piths of my stomach into the marble white like toilet. Then, at that god awful time Vivi walked in, while I was leaning exhausted over the toilet, not having the strength to walk out and pretending like everything is normal. Like I had been doing for the last about seven weeks. And it was easier pretending like everything is fine when you dont have an overprotective husband, and hundreds of guards and servants never leaving your side.

“Jude, are you-?” She stopped talking almost out of nervousness of how to bring such an matter up with her very stubborn and anything but mother like sister.

“Am I what?” I said out harshly. Already annoyed with her presence.

“Are you pregnant?”

What? That was the only word running through my honey scared mind, at the words that had just left her mouth.

“No I am not” what if I am?

“Are you sure, because I can go down to the pharmacy right now and buy a test for you if you would like?” I am not sure. I am not sure at all.

“Yes, yes I would like that” I say looking down on the floor, trying not to look into Vivi’s eyes. Almost like if I did it would all just become to real for me to handle.

Without saying another word, Vivi was already out the door and on her way to the local pharmacy, buying me - her little sister - pregnancy tests.

It all felt too unreal.

I sat down on the couch, longing after the silent comfort of my husband. My Cardan.

Half an hour went by and Vivi was home with a little white bag in her hand. She handed it to me and I took it.

Not a word came out of my mouth as I turned around walking into the bathroom and closing the wooden door behind me.

A few moments later I was ready to be turning the three laid out sticks on the sink counter. Turning them I came face to face with six pink stribes.

Fuck.

No no no no, this cannot be happening. This cannot be happening. What do I tell Cardan, what do I do with the baby? It would be public for the entire kingdom to know. I cant do this, I just cant.

At that moment all rational thoughts left my head and the only thing I could think of was to go, leave and never come back. Leave Cardan. Leave Faerie. Leave Vivi. Leave the baby.

[Hours later]

It was late, laying on the tiny three man shared couch, listening to the silence of the apartment. Not a sound coming from either of the two rooms shared by Vivi and heather, and then little Oak at last. Always being prepared for anything was sometimes a good idea - at all times - especially when you needed to sneak out without being noticed.

Earlier the evening I had decided to lie, I lied and said the tests were negative, all of them. I know that it is wrong, - at highest moral - but I do not know if I could handle the pressure of family with along mine - as Cardans - queen duties.

I took my black bag in my left hand, while with my right opening the door and getting ready to walk out and never come back. It might be wrong but I just couldn’t do it, couldn’t do it.

Walking out the door, I look behind taking my very last look into the tiny shared apartment before turning on my heel, closing the door behind me and out meeting my new life.

No matter how much I might miss Cardan already.

I've just finished Queen od Nothing and it was a crazy rollercoaster! I'm so happy for Jude and Cardan cuz they deserve happines. But the only thing I can't get over is fact that Jude is still mortal and I just can't imagine her dying and what will happened with Cardan. I was hoping for her becomes immortal by the end...

There luckily she meets Ryle Kincaid and immediately connect with them. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan—her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened. I am legibly astounded at the riveting power of this Beautiful tale about love , passion, friendship, kindness and the freedom. I personally had taken it as a bookstagram suggestion but, Oh boy!!! I fell in love with every page of this book , every character and literally couldn't stop thinking about this book for days. I really loved the fact how Lily, at a really tender age had the capability to fight back in her life and change the future for her daughter. The chemistry between Ryle and Lily, although shattering and heartbreaking was worth it. Many readers hate Ryle because of his ways with Lily , but I personally feel that since he was diagnosed with a medical condition, he could never have helped his episodes of violence and aggression. He lost both his brother and the love of his life and I feel him! Lastly, Atlas was a true Prince Charming for Lily in this story. He was there for her , even after so many years and helped her out when she truly needed him.
