the way these people on twitter are reacting to joshua bassett is so frustrating! they've attributed his sexual abuse to the church when, as far as public information, he's never stated that to be the case. honestly, a bunch of these fans "angry" over him devoting himself to God are the same ones who lusted over young guys like him and shawn mendes since they were underage and constantly obsess over their sexualities. it's disgusting seeing how they take this opportunity to make jokes or insult Christians for supporting him.

Yeah it's the hypocrisy for me. Some reactions have been straight up dishonest

....so Christians saying "God is the only way" (which is basically a biblical quote) is offensive to non Christians but non Christians going out of their way to ridicule Christians 24/7 isn't?🤔I'm asking this bc the thread was literally filled with diss against Christianism and that user was nowhere to whine about how OFfEnsIve it was... There is absolutely nothing "offensive" about thinking something is "the only way". Those people just become ridiculously sensitive whenever Christians stand their ground and don't bother sparing heathens' susceptibility.

Lesbians don't act like that, egg'ing young female celebrities they assume are closeted. Overall, lesbians aren't nearly as predatory as gay males because the problem is male wicked sexuality, not the sexual orientation. Gay or not, if unchecked, MALES will always keep that wicked entitlement to force sexual conversation in very inappropriate ways.

I had no idea who Joshua Bassett was beside him being a random male celebrity, but after further research I realized he's apparently quite a big deal with zoomers (he apparently dated Olivia Rodrigo) and struggled with his sexuality. No wonder males twice his age felt comfortable to egg on him over his alleged sexuality.
