My months of rest and relaxation // day 29

In this period I feel like I am in the very middle of a big general change. This is probably coming out so strongly right now because I have a different routine, not being busy with uni for a while. I started to notice something weird in the summer when I realized I might be going through something like the queer second adolescence. I am not sure it has only do deal with me finally getting rid of the most of my internalized biphobia, but that surely has had an influence. I generally feel very confused, formless even. I am not satisfied with my clothes, I don't know what to do with my hair, I've had so much change around me in the past months. It's overall a mess both outside and within me, but for the first time in my life I am very acceptant of it. I visualize myself as I said in a previous post flowing in a river, and I am weridly peaceful about it, excited even. It's definitely a bit disorienting for the type of person I am, but this situation shows me how much I have grown just in the past year. I feel like this is the perfect moment to reflect and work on myself even more, I particularly want to keep working on my self care and self love journey.

Productivity:

baked bread

did a big decluttering of my closet (I've been wanting to do that for a while and I am really happy to have finally taken time out of my day for it)

ran some errands with my mom

practiced Irish on duolingo

almost finished enrolling in uni for my masters degree (I'll only need to upload some signed documents and pay the first tax and then I'll officially be a masters student which is terrifying)

finished reading Heart Magick by Harmony Nice

Self care:

did not set an alarm

read first thing in the morning

journaled

didn't drink coffee

Who is the best book villain in your opinion? And why?

The first one that came to my mind is the other mother from Neil Gaiman's Coraline. I feel like it's the perfect mix of pure evil and childish fears. What I also really like about that character is that no matter what age you are she is going to scare the hell out of you.

When I stop thinking, I create

My name is Jaqueline. I have originally 4 names: a first name a middle name and 2 last names. I think that’s a good analogy of how devoted Latins are. We stick to our traditions, we like finding meaning in absolutely everything, and we expect representation. 

My full name is Perla Jaqueline Orenday Zamora, but I wasn’t supposed to be named Perla. 

My mom wanted everyone’s name to start with a J, but she didn’t told my dad...

In a good way, being the only one that starts with a P, was a constant reminder for me to not forget I was different. To not be afraid to be different. 

Since 1.5 years ago, I left home and found myself in very special places, met very special people, only because my uniqueness was embraced and welcomed. 

I have 3 personalities inside me. Jacques, Jackson, Jack. 

I am Mexican but also an Italian wannabe.

I am a director. An illustrator. An animator. A composer. A poet. 

I am a war tank filled with honey.

In Spanish I love cursing.

I write in English when I want to take myself serious.

In Italian I write when I want to use metaphors.

I’m living in the Netherlands with my Irish boyfriend.

We met outside a coffeeshop while I was on a date.

I like making cat sounds and smoking jonkos.

Im a sweet girl only if you don’t try to humiliate me for my dreamy way of thinking.

I’m spiritual because therapy didn’t work for me. 

I’m still a kid and don’t plan to change that anytime soon.

Today I read my journals from 2022 till the end of 2023 and I've cried like a child.

I would have never imagined that i would weep over my very own writings.I believe literature has shadowed my real grief lurking inside me , I ve hid myself beneath those words . I cannot accept the fact I have endured so much all by myself in my solitude.

If I look back at it, it won't look altogether much of a deal ,but if I look at it one by one that's when I realise all two years have nothing but spent in despair, spent in suffering and watching myself crumble to dust.

While I read my journals I saw a visualisation of me being annihilated over a series of events one after the other, there is no difference between my solitude and grief, I was yearning I was yearning in every possible form but i couldn't give it any shape , it's awful .

I miss the Mynock crew sooo much.   Tamlin and Bacta are simply everything to me.  Bacta doesn’t sleep but he still makes an excellent pillow.  I think Tryst would be right on top of the crocheted clothing trend. He would love crocheted peekaboo croptops, and would pair them with crocheted shorts.

What are some games that you feel should have launched franchises, but didn't?

I'm not surprised Alien Logic wasn't a success (it's a crufty, aimless game), but I'm surprised more didn't come from it. It's a sci-fi action role-playing game based on a TTRPG ruleset called SkyRealms of Journey and actually had some of the original tabletop designers involved with the game too.

There is so much happening in that world that it easily could've been explored in a couple more titles. The character writing is exceptional and I loved finding the weird nooks and crannies of that world, the farmer begrudgingly accepting that a wormhole has opened in the middle of his field, or the wolfmen protesting outside the marketplace for labor rights. Or even the more fiddly aspects, like the survival-esque gameplay tracking down coordinates and digging for supplies. It's such a unique blend of weathered sci-fi and fantasy tropes that lands somewhere between D&D and David Lynch's Dune, and I wish they'd had the opportunity to explore that more In video game form.

Invierno, tengo mis mejores recuerdos llenos de un café, taquicardia, ilusiones, envolturas de recuerdos rompiéndose, cenas calientitas y abrazos llenos de honestidad.

Adoro el frío golpeando mi cara y mi nariz como la de cierto personaje de villancico ( Rodolfo el Reno), me fascinan las bufandas, los guantes y abrigos grandes.

El chocolate con bombones, es una de las cosas mas mágicas que pueden existir.
