⟬Narfi is the nights father?🌙⟭

So a fun little ✨theory✨ that I want to talk about! and possible head cannon of mine now! 👀

Is that Narfi is the father to Natt/Nótt the personification of night. But why is that? And how is it even possible!

Now I actually don't believe in this theory, but I do think it's fun to make theories and think of every possible connection. I'm certainly not the first right?!

Here's the evidence I have on why I even ended up with this thoery in the first place:

In Norse mythology, Nótt is the night itself personified. She is listed as the daughter of a figure by the name of Narfi/Nörvi/Nari (There are variant spellings).

Who else goes by the name Narfi or Nari, Loki and Sigyn's son!

I know characters sharing names in the myths doesn't always mean they're the same, but what a coincidence that they both use two of the same names, am I right?!

If that's not enough to support the theory, let's have a look at Narfi and his connections to Hel.

Some of Hel's kennings suggest a connection to Narfi, them being:

"The sister of the Wolf and of Narfi"

"The sister of Nari"

It isn't much but those are the only things to reference Narfi at all, which I do find suspicious! But what does this have to do with Natt?

Well we all know what Narfi's fate was in Loki's punishment and I don't doubt he went down to helheim. But the way they describe Natt's appearance reminds me of something.

Natt is described as "Black and shwarty"

The only other person to be described anything like this, is Hel.

Hel is sometimes described as either blue or black, which we know was a way for the norse to describe corpses.

But that's all I have on this theory! The only reason I don't fully stand by it is because Jord, sometimes said to be Natt's daughter is Thor's mother.

Which then wouldn't make any sense timeline or family tree wise. 😅

I’ve noticed that I use the phrase ‘couldn’t help but __’ a lot. I know that I also use nature themes a lot, but generally I’m really bad at noticing these kinds of things 😅 Have any of you noticed patterns that keep reappearing in my fics? 👀👀

72. What’s your favorite writing compliment you’ve gotten?

I’ve gotten quite a few sweet comments like ‘didn’t know I needed this’ and ‘omg you should all read this!!’ but one of the ones that really sticks out to me is a comment that my writing was (partially) the reason a reader started writing again. The feeling that I’ve inspired someone that much - even if I was only one part of a bigger bout of inspiration - really makes me happy 🥹

7. Post a snippet from a wip.

Okay, so this needs a little bit of explanation. It’s from an upcoming fic called ‘Dragon’s Heart’, a fantasy fic with human!reader and dragon!Kirishima. The reader has been poisoned and has been suffering from high fevers and delirium and Kiri has been taking care of them for several days at this point.

「The first thing you noticed, as you fought to pull your mind from the depth of sleep, was Eijirou’s soft voice. It rose and fell, repeating the same pattern again and again. It took your addled mind a while to realize that he was singing to himself, and even longer before you could make out the words of his song.

Frigid winds are howling Ravens cry and wolves are prowling Seeking food and seeking rest Snowflakes fall, the cold is stinging In the trees no birds are singing Taking shelter in their nests

It slowly dawned on you why your fever dreams were full of the cries of birds and wolves, he must have been singing this exact song while you slept. Staying still, you listened as he drew in a deep breath, then continued,

All around are yearning For the warmth, yet frost is burning Still the wind blows from the North Come South-West who bests the winter Earth will thaw and ice will splinter  As she guides the springtime forth

Springtime. You could barely wait for spring. Eyes slowly closing again, you fell back asleep, your mind filled with the image of dots of vibrant green and yellow peeking out through the snow.」

Not sure when I’ll get this finished, I’ve been working on it for years at this point 😅

The song is a very loose translation of a Danish folk song called ‘It Is White Outside’ (‘Det Er Hvidt Herude’ by St. St. Blicher). I’m so sad that I couldn’t include the part about South-West and their wings of fog. It literally goes ‘come South-West who bests the frost / come with your wings of fog / come and release the bound earth’ (Kom sydvest som frosten tvinger / kom med dine tågevinger / kom og løs den bundne jord)

It was late into the night and most of the camp retired to sleep. Damen and Jord would take turns keeping watch, it was almost time to switch out, so Damen lay awake.

The creak of the mattress followed by small coughs compelled Damen to glance over at Laurent.

His beloved was sat at the edge of the bed, clutching his chest. Even from his obscured vantage, Damen could tell something was wrong.

Cautiously he sat up, as Laurent’s eyes met his.

After a few moments, Damen said,

“What’s wrong?”

When Laurent didn’t respond, Damen rose to his feet and walked over, his stomach sank at the sight.

His beloved’s lips were turning blue, he was shivering, uncontrollably.

Damen was utterly perplexed, for it was the spring season in Vere, he even found it mildly hot.

He tried again.

“What’s happening? What’s wrong?”

Laurent let out an exasperated sigh through chattering teeth as he let out shakily,

“It’s mid-year, I’m supposed to be turning, but my venal uncle took my powers, so I’m left here to freeze until sunrise,”

It was t-minus two minutes until your fiancé known by his teammates as ‘Hendo’ at both Liverpool and England, got home from a late evening training session. Before he had left the house earlier that day, you had got into a bit of an altercation over dirty laundry with him, causing him to say something he probably could have gone without. So in order to get him back, you decided instead of continuing the argument, you were going to have some fun with him by teasing him ever so slightly.

Hearing the front door of your lavish home unlock, you quickly tied the cords of your silky black Victoria’s Secret dressing gown and placed your feet in your matching sliders. Meeting you at the door frame of your bedroom was the near-six-foot midfielder, hair looking rather dishevelled as he ran his fingers through it, still as attractive as ever. “Alright.” he mumbled in his thick accent.

“Mhmm.” You nodded, tucking a hair of your own behind your ear. “How was training?” You asked confidently, sitting on the edge of the bed.

“Good yeah. You look nice, are you going out?” He crossed his arms.

“Nope. Just thought I’d make myself look half decent for the man I’m going to be marrying after he got home from a tiring day at work.” You bit your lip, eyeing his bulge in his tight tracksuit bottoms.

Standing up as he walked towards you, he licked his lips towering over you. “Oh.” He smirked. “So what’s underneath this then?” He began to try unraveling the fabric covering you. Snapping his hands away, you pursed your lips.

“Absolutely nothing.” You teased, walking away from him towards the en-suite. Tilting his head upwards, eyes closed, he breathed deeply. You knew he was turned on.

“I take it you’re still annoyed about earlier?” He turned to face you, as you rested your head against the doorframe, mimicking his initial position upon entering the room.

“And why would you think that?” You beamed, fingers trailing against your thighs.

“Because you’re doing that Y/N. To get revenge at me. You know what you do to me baby.” He was now the one biting his lower lip.

“No I’m not annoyed anymore Jords. It’s in the past. But I’m not doing anything I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

He shook his head whilst kissing his teeth, letting out a groan. You began untying the silk, now standing there flashing him. He let out a small ‘fuck’ on exhale.

“What’s wrong daddy?” you smirked. He was now in front of you, unable to resist you. Scooping up the side of your face with his right hand, he went in for a kiss, but you stopped his lips with your finger. You shook your head, indicating that he wasn’t getting any action.

“I’m sorry about what I said earlier, but you know I hate these little games of yours Y/N. You don’t know the things I want to do to you right now.” His chest now rising up and down from the heavy breathing.

“You’re forgiven.” You smiled, your hands now around his bulge feeling him growing. Before you knew it, he had turned your body and placed his arms above you, pinning you to the door beside you. “Doesn’t mean you aren’t getting punished and reprimanded for it though.”

He trailed your neck with soft kisses, his breath warm. “The only punishment and reprimanding that will be happening tonight is to you darling.” He moaned.

You wanted to kiss him right there and then, but decided to try and continue to poke fun at him. Feeling his grip on your wrists loosen, you pushed him slightly backwards. Removing the piece of clothing altogether, you nodded towards the glass door of the shower.

“Coming?” You winked at him nodding as he followed you inside. Warm water was now trickling down both bodies, as he towered over you again, softly feeling your opening.

“Stop Jords.” You told him gently. “I’m not done playing yet.” You could see him craving you so badly.

Bending down so that you were directly facing his erect member, you began feeling him throbbing in your hands.

“Jesus Christ.” He muttered.

Licking him from either side and tip, you took him inside your mouth as he grabbed your now wet hair, indicating for you to take all of him. After a few minutes, you stood up and wiped your lips, licking them before draining the water out of your hair and began to get out.

“Enjoy your shower babe.” You smiled once again with a rather smug look, knowing he hadn’t finished, longing to be inside you. Pulling you back by your hair and catching you, he flipped you so that you were now facing the tiled walled of the shower, water beginning to run down your body again. He grabbed your hands and put them behind your back, before getting your consent to inch inside you. Nodding, you gasped on his entrance.

You knew how good he always felt during sex but something about those initial few pumps never ceased to surprise you.

“Don’t ever tease me like that again gorgeous. You hear me?” He exclaimed, each thrust getting harder and deeper each time. It felt as though he had a needle and was injecting pleasure into your veins continuously, except you could feel it in all the right places.

“Then don’t annoy me daddy. You know not to test me.” You groaned. Something about hearing you say that was sending him over the edge.

“Fuckk, I’m gonna cum Y/N.” He announced. You were nearly at your climax too.

“Me too.” You pressed your face against the cold wall. With that, you both released at the same time, your legs shaking. Taking a minute to breathe, you stood up properly turning to face him.

He traced your lips with his finger and began kissing you, tongues exploring each other. Pulling apart, he rested his head against yours, eyes twitching with the water running between you both.

“I can’t wait to marry you.” He grinned earning him a soft smile back.

“I can’t wait either Jords.”
