So I have an request
I need in my life sort of grumpy/ sunshine and enemies to lovers trope!
Of course Arthur being grumpy and Reader teasing and annoying him for fun!
Might be with smut, with angry Arthur showing reader that her teasing must come to an end. 😏 tho I really need how their relationship would develop 🙏🙏
Hello, I hope this is ok :) I've only done a bit of fluff and a short hc. I'm going to pace myself with smut writing, so this is just the beginning of the relationship. Hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
When Arthur meets you for the first time he’s not in the best of moods. He had slept poorly the night before, hadn’t eaten well all day, been pissed off by Micah and because he got back late, he didn’t even get a decent serving of stew - just the burnt bit at the bottom.
So safe to say he’s a grumpy boy who isn’t interested in entertaining folk and plans to just sulk rest on his cot.
But he’s grabbed by Mary-Beth and Tilly who insist he has to meet the new gang member.
Arthur grumbles mightily, but is eventually forced over to where you were chatting with Sean. He immediately notices your big grin and eyes sparkling with mirth. He does his best to ignore the swooping sensation in his chest, when he hears you laugh.
Mary-Beth introduces you both and you offer him a hand to shake. Arthur scowls and gives it a half-hearted shake, more to hide the fact he is immediately intrigued by you than actual contempt or dislike.
‘Let me guess, they keep you around for your sense of humour and winning smile?’ you tease.
Sean cackles, Arthur scowls further and stomps off to his cot. He does his best to write in his journal and focuses on the previous events of the day, but he can’t help his eyes drifting over to you and writing just a very small paragraph.
‘If they’re making Sean and Uncle laugh like that, then I fear we have collected another fool for their entertainment, rather than someone who could be useful!’ he writes. He does feel a bit bad about it come the morning, but the writing remains in his journal.
Annoyingly, over the next few weeks you prove yourself beyond useful. You’re a quick, accurate shot, a keen thief with light fingers and, more importantly to Arthur, an excellent horse rider who cares for their horse a good deal.
Not that he gives you a lot of praise. Arthur scolds and dismisses your work, not wanting you to get cocky or arrogant. The fact that you don’t even let his barbs and comments bother you irritates him more.
You’re constantly making jokes and quips at his expense, though he’s fortunate the rest of the gang never seem to be around when you do.
‘You know, if you keep frowning like that the wind might change and then you’ll be stuck- Ah, I think it might be too late actually!’
‘Beans, beans and more beans isn’t actually the full three course meal you seem to think it is!’
‘You can laugh at my jokes, you know. It’s probably causing you great internal harm to not do so!’
‘Tell a funny one then and I’ll think about it!’
‘Uncle’s ass?’
‘That ain’t a joke.’
‘Yeah, it’s a crime against humanity!’
He actually manages a snort of laughter after that.
‘But seriously, why are you always so grumpy? Whatever did I do?’ You flutter your eyelashes at him in a pretence of innocence and Arthur ignores the little flip his stomach does.
‘You waste everyone’s time with yer nattering and jokes and nonsense!’
‘Oh, but Arthur, nattering and jokes and nonsense are all I have! You can’t take it away from me.’
‘Get enough of it from Sean, don’ need more of tha’!’
‘I think you enjoy it really!’ a teasing smirk on your face.
‘I don’t,’ he mutters. Secretly wishing he had it in him to kiss that stupid smile on your face. ‘C’mon, let’s get back to camp.’
He quickly kicks his horse into a trot, so he doesn’t have to look at your stupid, lovely face and admit to himself that your quick remarks and jokes really do make his day and he always looks forward to spending time with you.

Since I'm wearing my shipper goggles anyway, here are some canon examples of Kakuzu and Hidan making gestures or requests and then having the implied or stated need met by their partner, which strikes me as unusual in the broader context of their characters being complete monsters.
Hidan says that he thinks only caring about money is unethical, personally; he is still convinced to come with Kakuzu and attack the temple even though it is for Chiriku's bounty.
Similarly, Kakuzu seems to dislike the time wasted in Hidan's praying and rituals and so on, but he waits them out and waits around for him after they attack the temple and acquire Chiriku's body? He could go ahead. Hidan doesn't even come in with him to collect his bounty. He waits, though. It's not like we never see partners split up—so why?
When Ino scouts them out by posessing a bird, Kakuzu stops in his tracks and looks up at it, clearly having sensed some mysterious ninja thing. Hidan immediately stops too, turns to him and asks what it might be. Kakuzu decides it's nothing (oops) but it's always interesting to me that someone as rude, unpleasant and disrespectful as Hidan doesn't try to tease him or make fun of him; he's just like 'oh, Kakuzu noticed something?' even though clearly Hidan did not notice anything. He believes him when he thinks he's noticed something, and he believes him when he says it's nothing.
When Hidan says he wants to be the one to fight, Kakuzu goes along with it. As I said in the earlier post, Kakuzu dislikes the way Hidan fights, both in terms of watching him make stupid arrogant mistakes and in terms of waiting for his drawn-out death ritual. But he lets him.
Kakuzu tells the Konoha ninja that they are underestimating Hidan when Shikamaru draws him off. He has a weirdly high amount of faith in him (and his ability to murder. still. faith.)
After Hidan's fight with Asuma, Kakuzu picks up his forehead protector and keeps it to give back to him. I know a lot of people bring this up as proof that Kakuzu likes him, which is fair enough, but what's actually more interesting to me is that regardless of whether or not he likes him Kakuzu is making a gesture that shows he is in some way invested, which seems like it could be scorned or rejected. Hidan's response is about as gentle as you could write him: he jokes that Kakuzu isn't as bad or hostile as he likes to seem. Huh.
Regrettably, they have highly limited screen time.
From an external view, some of these serve a mechanical purpose. You could say, "they stay together because Kishimoto wants them to be together when Team Asuma catches up," for example. That's a reasonable framework, but I am choosing to interpret the events internally to the story.
What do these things mean for these characters? Probably that they actually get along just fine, and do in fact like each other. 😳
Weirdos.

Do you have any opinions on the lodge stories so far? Whose lodge story is your favorite? Or, do you have some sort of Top 3 Lodge Story?
So, as soon as I got this, I was like...oh shit.  I can't remember most of the Lodge stories.  Like I do not remember anything of over half of these.  Which is probably telling of how...kinda uninteresting a lot of these are. A lot of them tread old ground or are pretty bare bones; very few give new information or really delve into something.
As an easy top three from memory: Gladion, Adaman, Irida.  Gladion actually ended on a really interesting note, with his internal fear of losing people close to him being driven by the events of the main game.  It's actually really interesting and one of the better stories for a character.  Adaman because he gets fixated on his iPhone and is a menace, Irida for the comedy of learning about virtual reality.  Those two were great.  That said, I had to revisit these so I could remember what the hell they even talked about, so to go over each:
Blue: Kinda bland, being focused on him training you and all that.  Currently the most infuriating one by miles because we openly acknowledge that he's a better teacher than Red because Red's silent and doesn't mesh well with people, only for fourth anniversary to shit all over that.  Thanks, DeNA.  2/10
Leaf: Benign but somewhat cute.  I do love the bit in the second half about Blue teasing her about the cuddling thing.  Like of course people cuddle, but if you tell her no she gets really dejected.  It's really cute.  7/10.
Giovanni: Stupid.  "Ooh, I'm so ambiguously evil despite never accomplishing anything, you'd risk yourself to save this Pokemon."  Fuck off.  1/10.
Silver: Friendship Hour.  Benign but cute enough.  I have an affinity for this character type so it's endearing to me.  6/10.
Morty: Lunatic hour.  Let's go meet up with ghosts.  Excitedly tells you about ghosts and jokes about dying.  Fun character in general.  6/10.
May: Benign and kinda bland.  Did you know May does field work and makes secret bases?  3/10.
Steven: Relatively cute.  Talks about potential and what excites him about his interests in a way that isn't just talking about rocks again.  Not the most exciting, but fine.  6/10.
Cynthia: Cynthia's my girl, and I do actually like this one more than I remembered.  She talks about how champions change, and that being someone significant isn't intrinsic to the title, then you get the introduction of Cynthia liking piano and having a deep interesting in music as a new angle to her character.  I think these events are best when they have something new that we don't already know, and this is a good one, even if it's not the deepest.  8/10.
Dawn: I kinda like this one too.  Dawn's interested in all sorts of things, and it starts with stuff we know, like performances and the sweets from Palentine's.  But the focus on not knowing what to make Her Thing in that sense is endearing, and it's a neat presentation for her character that isn't seen outside of this conversation.  8/10.
Adaman: Honestly I love this one.  Just calling you up at like 5am to demand your presence because he made you breakfast, and the recognition of the phone being used to take up people's time.  This one's fun, and it has a nice blend of what we know about Adaman (impatient) with fun new stuff (phone, he can cook apparently).  9/10.
Irida: Similar to Adaman, a good blend of what we know (flute, focus on space), and new (virtual reality, her response to needing all sensations of a place).  9/10.
Rosa: Similar to Dawn, in that her focus is on doing something else she loves in addition to the Champion thing.  Lands on movies, as a thing we already knew, so I don't feel as much impact from it, but it's fine.  5/10.
N: Admittedly kinda boring?  Like it's fine, but it's all fixation on stuff we know: that he was raised how Ghetsis wanted, that he loves the ferris wheel, that he wants to change the world and how people and pokemon interact, etc.  Nothing new or exciting in that sense.  4/10.
Elesa: On the one hand, this is a fairly neat approach, focusing on how fans are intimidated to meet Elesa directly, and what she's like outside of the limelight.  It's fine, but this is one of the heaviest "MC is such a special person for no reason" ones yet.  Like she even mentions Skyla, who doesn't count for some reason.  3/10.
Sycamore: Benign but fine.  I do like his research topic but they don't push much we don't know already.  The cafe is also very in line with what's known.  4/10.
Serena: Similar to Leaf, it's a lot we know, focusing on her fashion and PR video fixation.  But it's fairly cute so it's fine.  5/10.
Calem: Very similar, Calem's into style, but we do get that he worked with Furfrou grooming so there's something.  5/10.
Lillie: Lillie's coasting on being cute.  She makes you a doll even though she's not great at sewing and wants to thank you for...something.  Like the lesson she'd learned was in the main games, but MC fixation I guess.  It's cute though.  6/10.
Acerola: Actually kinda sweet.  Starts with the known focus of her getting stuff for the kids at Aether House, pivots into what she wants to do and you taking her around and letting her be a kid.  It's fairly sweet.  8/10.
Gladion: Actually super good, I wasn't expecting anything from him, but they swung with the fear of losing his family and how connection can break and he'll lose people and how fearful he is of that.  It's fantastic character building that goes beyond the other top performers, focusing on an actual aspect of him as a person rather than an interest or encountering a new thing and seeing the reaction.  10/10.
Marnie: It's fine.  I feel like I should have more attachment to Marnie than I do.  The difficulty expressing is an interesting angle, and including expressing anger here was a good move, even if it falls back on the smile practice thing that I think I just find weird.  I dunno.  I'm all about unemotional characters learning emotions but usually by organic means, rather than trying to push the smile physically up.  5/10.
Raihan: Again, fine.  The discussion around Leon's attitude against his is neat, the knowledge that he's actually pretty good at figuring out outfits is new.  I dunno, it's fine.  I may be tiring out on these, or I'm just being pissy about Galar again.  6/10.
Gloria: Camping, curry, I do like the focus on "this is a good way to get people to open up," feels very in the style of that guy who gets people back to his place by talking about his stew.  Nothing too exciting.  5/10.

Some thoughts on each season of my Lego Ninjago watch through so far up to and including season seven and the movie:
Golden Weapon Pilots: They're fine, but not very interesting. There's a few fun moments, but I while watching I genuinely wondered if I was going to continue with the rest of the show.
The role of the only girl in the cast was to be kidnapped and rescued, and to be liked by a character who hasn't even met her yet. That's greeeeeeat. Loooove that.
It's very funny in later seasons when they try to pretend that anyone cared about Samukai. Or knew his name.
Season 1: This season's a good time. The writing's pretty messy, but charming enough to keep me watching.
The Zane-is-a-robot plot twist was everything ten year old me hoped it would be, and Cole's relationship with his dad was an interesting episode.
Lloyd's at his best in this season. I'll talk about it more in the season two part, but Lloyd's character was only really interesting when he was a child.
Some of the best jokes are in this season. "I have butterflies in my stomach" is probably still my favourite joke in the series. Either that or Nya getting bodied by a road sign. Sorry Nya, I love you, but I think I rewound that bit seven times.
Speaking of, Nya you really deserve better writing.
Season 2: The first half's pretty fun. I liked it when the plot was just Garmadon and his pirates figuring out random ways to mess with the ninja. It gives us a fun plot and I enjoy watching how the ninja solve problems, and the villains being their charming selves. The stuff on the dark island get's a bit boring. I don't care about The Overlord.
Dino Garmadon is a true beauty, though.
I like Misako. Can't wait to see what they do with her in later seasons.
Very sad that Nya gets sidelined hard. I think the writers actually forgot about her. Except for the occasional time they couldn't think of a way for the ninja to wrap things up and needed Samurai X to take care of things. Oh, and at the end when they needed someone to be mind controlled and have demeaning remarks slung at them.
You really deserve better Nya.
Aging up Lloyd was a mistake. Everything notable about him stems from the fact that he's a child. Watching him grow as the Ninja teach him was a good time, and having him be so young balanced out his overpoweredness nicely. Now all he's got left is being the super powerful chosen one, which isn't really a personality.
Season 3: Boring. Nothing interesting happens, and the stupid terrible 'love triangle' makes me want to stab my eyeballs out. Once again Nya, you deserve better.
The best part of this season is that it's the shortest.
Season 4: Hooray! Quality!
This one's much funner. Especially in the first half.
Skylor seems cool, but unfortunately they spend the first half of the season keeping her shrouded in 'mystery' so we don't really get to know her. We can't develop her and Kai's relationship, because that would mean revealing information about Skylor before the big plot twist. We also can't go into how she feels about helping her dad because we don't know Chen's her dad until halfway through the season. The conversation with Kai in the roller rink implies that this is the only life she's ever known and she hasn't really questioned it before, but because the reveal of her relation to Chen happens so late and there's so many other things going on, Skylor's arc about breaking away from Chen ends up being very rushed.
That being said I did still cheer internally when she told her dad off. Go Skylar! Tell him where to stick it!
Speaking of Chen, very enjoyable villain. Probably my favourite so far. The oscillation between 'ugh, screw this whiny child' and 'oh yeah, he's powerful enough to kill anyone on a whim and no one can stop him' makes him a perfect blend of intimidation, hatable, and fun. Clouse is a pretty decent second-in-command too. I like how petty he is.
Very good season for Cole. He started the tournament by eating enough cake to make him sluggish and still did better than Kai, then he made friends with Karloff and brought hope back to the factory workers, that was great. Zane's reunion with him made me very happy. Cole just has such a great energy as a character, and that really comes through in this season.
Good Garmadon's not bad. I like watching him cringe about all the bad decisions he made when he was evil-drunk, and he has good insights for the team on Chen and the other contestants. Much better than the weird boring lessons he was giving Lloyd last season.
The letter story line was...not handled great. It's built up to be this big bombshell, but it's really more awkward than anything. Also kind of pointless since Garmadon dies at the end of the season. The whole Misako love triangle is just very awkward, and the Ninjago writers really don't know how to write romance or women, huh?
Also speed's and element, I guess. And poison. 10/10
Why'd they leave the blind guy on the island though? Seems mean.
Season 5: Oh hey, Nya finally gets to be a ninja. Took long enough.
History of terrible writing choices aside, her arc this season was great. You really feel for Nya, watching her figure out her elemental power and how to deal with her perfectionism. I'm glad we got to really dig into one of the Ninja's journey facing their greatest weakness more deeply (I like the true potential episodes, but devoting more time to them probably wouldn't have gone amiss). Watching Nya's take out a giant monster with her freshly unlocked tsunami powers after an entire season of struggling with her powers was just so freaking awesome. Go Nya! Woo! True potential!
The picking a new leader subplot's pretty fun. I like exploring the characters by putting them all in the leader position and seeing how they all react. That's the good stuff, even if Lloyd's position as the leader is debatable (more on that later).
I like how Misako and Wu work together and bounce off each other and have differing ideas on what direction the team should go in. It's more interesting than Wu just being the one with all the answers. Wish they'd give Lloyd and Misako's relationship a bit more development, though.
Cole's ghost transformation is sending me. I like ghosts. They're cool. Ghost Cole makes brain happy.
The episode right after where we watch Cole struggle to adjust to his new form while his friends support him (showcasing how building up your teammates is way more effective than trying to bring them down) is actually the best. The moral is set up really well, and I think that's actually a great lesson for kids. Also d'awwwwww :) fwiends.
And the conversation between Cole and Nya is so sweet. I friendship them so hard. See writers? This is why you should let Nya react with the team more, it's great. Also let the Ninja be nicer to each other. Favourite episode.
Unfortunately for Lloyd, kicking him out of most of this season really worked in it's favour. That's probably not a great thing to say about the main character, but I honestly haven't found Lloyd all that interesting since he aged up. He doesn't really feel like he has a place on the team outside of 'chosen one'. They say they're missing a leader without him, but he's never really led. Usually it's one of the adults (are the ninja teenagers? I can't really tell) giving commands and on the field they all kind of work together and it's never felt like there was an official leader.
Ooh, Jay's vision of the future...oh that does not bode well. I hate that. Ninjago, you were doing so good this season, why are you like this?
I love this season so much. It's got my favourite episode and it's my favourite so far. By a lot. Good luck topping that season six. Bet your theme song won't slap as hard.
Season 6: And coming right off of the high of season five, we have-
"I just want to be given a fair shot."
"Why? To make things easier?"
Misako, wtf?
"Nya made it clear there was no way we'd ever end up together. But I know for a fact from seeing my future that we do. Maybe a wish is what it takes. Maybe this is how she falls for me!"
JAY, WTF?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Nya you really deserve better.
The worst part is, unlike season three, this season actually has a lot of intriguing elements. The sky pirate crew is crew charming, Nadakhan's wish manipulation thing is fun to watch, and Jay's storyline is...well...a lot of it is actually really interesting, and this is the first time the show has dug into an individual character so deeply, but the endgame being Jay 'earning' a relationship with Nya for completing his arch leaves a very sour taste on the whole thing.
Speaking of Nya...oh boy. Okay, so I do appreciate the writer's trying to acknowledge their writing mistakes with her in previous seasons, and the lighthouse monologue was pretty cathartic, but maybe try talking to some women before you slap the feminist badge on yourself so proudly, yeah? Also you gotta put your money where your mouth is. You've shown you're aware that Nya never getting a choice is problem, then you destiny-bind her to another character and kill her for his development.
I could complain about this season and Nya's treatment throughout the show for ages. One day I may lose my sanity and try to rewrite a nicer season seven that doesn't completely screw Nya over.
The Ninjago really do not know how to write romance or women.
At least Cole's still a ghost. That's fun.
Day of the Departed: I love the atmosphere. Being in the dark forest and house, surrounded by the monochrome transparent ghosts really emphasizes Cole's feeling of isolation. It just gives off the perfect vibes for a children's Halloween special. It just looks so cold. I can practically feel the wind as Cole punches ghosts on the roof.
I've heard some people say the pacing was rushed and it's bad writing that the ninja defeated villains in one night that took them whole seasons to beat, but I disagree. They're a lot more experienced now, and those villains had whole armies and time to plan.
The only gripes I had were that ending to the Zane and Cryptor fight was weird because Zane...pretends to surrender... and then Cryptor...trips and dies? Also the Lloyd and Pythor fight was pretty underwhelming. It was just very floaty and awkward. I think they forgot that Misako is a skilled fighter too, so she just stands there being frustratingly useless. Other than that the fights were good. Especially Jay's with commentary from his delightful parents, and Nya reversing a rocket back at Chen.
Of course, the special's not really about the fights is it? Cole's fear as his friends start to forget him is incredibly gripping and you're really sold on how desperate he is as he fights through the haunted house.
And when his friends show up and give him the hope when he's about to give up? YESSS! it's such a triumphant moment when he gets his body back that I'm not even sad that my beloved ghost Cole is gone. That ghost story line had a great run, and this was a banger of a conclusion.
Season 7: Not bad, but drags a lot in the first half. I wish I had a nickel for every time a character was cut off before they can say something important. I also wish I had a nickel for every time a character acted like a plot twist was more shocking than it actually was. Or was clearly on stupid pills (Kai forgot his father's blacksmithing symbol? Really?) I was on episode seven when I originally wrote this, but it honestly felt like episode three. None of the other seasons had such a pronounced pacing issue.
While I'm glad they're finally trying to do something with PIXAL, I'm sad that she comes off as a huge jerk because of this season's obsessive mystery mongering. Hey writers, we all know she's Samurai X. You're not building intrigue, you're just dragging things out and making PIXAL be really mean to Nya for no reason.
Crux and Acronix are pretty fun, but there's something off about them. It might be the voice acting, I'm honestly not sure. I do like how they squabble about technology and how intimidating they get when they it's time for business and they put their childish bickering on the shelf.
I like how they've started to do some digging into Wu's psyche and are exploring how years of working alone after losing so many friends has affected him negatively. It's a shame they won't really be able to go further with that next season, since he'll be lost in the time stream.
Also at one point Wu and Lloyd tell everyone to stop having fun and it's terrible. Yeah, why would a kid's show be fun? I hope this isn't an indication of where the future tone of the series is going.
2017 Movie: Oh my gosh, it's hilarious please watch it. Even if you're not a Ninjago fan, it's just so goofy and the characters are so loveable, and they had to stack two body pieces on Garmadon to properly give him four arms.
There's some scenes where the natural character chemistry flows so well, that the jokes just keep coming so naturally one after the other. I found myself rewinding quite often.
I've seen some complaints that the other ninjas didn't get as much focus as Lloyd, but for a standalone movie I think it's fine to mainly focus on one person. Their characters may have been reduced, but everyone feels like they have a place in the team and they all get some great lines. Honestly nobody really feels left out of favouritized.
I love that Wu's kind of a weird jerk. I love how energetic but inexperienced the ninja feel. I love that Nya's on a motorcycle the whole time they're at school, including in the secret locker elevator. I love that Zane's an adrenaline junkie and is trying his very best to fit in as a human. I love that Jay somehow became the best ninja despite being the worst ninja in the show (he's just such an incompetent loser, and he's aware of this fact and has decided that he's just going to try his best anyway, I love him, Kumail Nanjiani is so charming and killing it).
This film does have one major flaw, sadly. I do like Lloyd, but the conflict he has with Garmadon is bad. This guy has caused him nothing but trouble, and he has a lovely mother and a supportive friend group, so why is he so desperate for a relationship with Garmadon? In the show the two of them actually having a decent relationship and the conflict is driven by the tragic fact that Garmadon doesn't want to be doing the evil things he's doing, and Lloyd is hesitant to be fighting against someone who genuinely cares for him and vice versa. Movie Garmadon is just generically evil of his own accord and shows no interest in Lloyd.
Dave Franco is giving quite the performance during the serious bits, but there just isn't a relationship to sell. You know who Lloyd does have an interesting parental relationship to explore with? His mother. And the writers know this too, since Lloyd thanks his mom for being the one who was actually there for him all those years. Why wasn't this the relationship we were focusing on? It's just better in every way (I know the answer).
My problem with this movie is pretty similar with MCU Peter and Aunt May.
Despite the weakness of the main conflict, it's a really charming goofy movie, and I already want to watch it again.

PURE [5] - Corpse Husband x Fem!Reader
A/N: It’s been a while.
part 1
part 2
part 3
part 4
PURE [5]
“Did you guys find anybody?” Felix’s voice sounded out when the man repeated the same question for what seemed like the third time since he joined the call. The number of players showed 7 of them, which meant that they were still missing three people. Sure, they could start the game now, but it would be way more enjoyable and funny with a full lobby.
“Yeah, Toast will be here any moment. “Sykkuno replied right away. “He just texted me; he should join us in a few.”
“Cool. Anyone else?”
“I think Corpse was also supposed to join us, right? Not sure though why he isn’t here yet.”
“Oh, yeah, Corpse will be here soon too!” Jack suddenly chimed in with an explanation. “He said he needed to take care of something first, but he’ll be here before we start.”
“Great. But that means we’re still one person short.” Felix hummed when Toast’s little astronaut appeared in the lobby “Hey Toast."
“Hey man.”
“Do you have anyone coming?”
“I’m afraid not. I asked MrBeast, but he’s busy, so...”
“Well then, we can just start when Corpse is here, and maybe we’ll find someone in the meantime?” Dave suggested, earning a few hums of approval from the other players.
“Yeah, I think that’s the best option...” Jack agreed. But then his voice blared out in everyone’s headphones with excitement. “Ha! Corpse is bringing someone!”
“Who?”
“I dunno, he just texted me he has one coming and that’s all.”
“Hm, all right. Let’s wait then.”
***
Corpse fidgeted with his phone, glancing between its screen and the chat in his stream. People were already asking countless questions, but rather than answering them, he was waiting for Y/N to call him. He was nervous - the girl still hadn’t commented on his request.
The idea to invite her to the lobby wasn’t spontaneous. In fact, he’d been thinking about it for quite some time now, but never found the courage to actually ask if she would like to join them for the game.
It’s been almost a month now since that memorable phone call. A month since Y/N last played with her friends; a month since she considerably reduced her social media usage.
Sure, she was still active on her youtube channel, but not as much as before the whole haters situation. No matter how hard she tried to just ignore them and simply continue her career, she just couldn’t. There were still these nagging thoughts at the back of her mind, reminding her of all those people and their comments, their messages. It seemed like a good idea to take a short break and sort everything out.
Her fans understood it. They were obviously sad that her videos weren’t as frequent as before, but everyone knew what the situation looked like and that Y/N needed some time for herself.
Her audience knew it, and so did her friends. Especially Corpse.
The man kept his word and talked to the girl whenever she wanted to. Which, in the end, was almost everyday. Although at the beginning their conversations mostly focused on her current problem and dealing with it, their topics broadened over the time.
At one point though, Y/N started worrying that maybe she’s annoying him with her so frequent calls. She thought that she shouldn’t bother him that much - even if talking to him was what really helped her cope with her problems. He already had enough on his plate, and sharing her own concerns with him suddenly seemed like a very selfish thing to do.
But she quickly realized how wrong she was for thinking like that. When one day she didn’t call, figuring out that she should stop troubling him with her own issues, she was very surprised when Corpse reached out to her himself. He expressed how worried he got when she didn’t call, and when she explained what was the reason, he spent the next fifteen minutes lecturing her that she should never think she’s bothering him.
From that day on, they talked every single day. And they talked about almost everything.
Corpse enjoyed their late night-talks more than anything. He liked to listen to Y/N talk about the things she finds exciting, her hobbies, and her dreams. Hell, she could talk about what she ate for breakfast, and he would still listen with interest.
And even though they haven’t seen each other in person, even though she still hasn’t seen his face, they managed to get really close during those past weeks. For an outside observer (who also didn’t have access to Twitter) they would seem like a couple of very good friends.
But not for Corpse.
He couldn’t pinpoint when exactly did it happen. They were talking one evening and Y/N was telling him about the TV series she had finished watching recently. He listened intently and watched as her facial expressions changed from excited to frustrated, as she was enumerating everything she liked and disliked about the series finale.
And then he suddenly got this weird feeling in the pit of his stomach, and simply couldn’t take his eyes off her.
He tried to play it off and act as if nothing changed, but he couldn’t stop his heart from doing backflips whenever she laughed at one of his dumb jokes or called him partner. It was still a running joke between them and among the group of their friends, but there was something in the way she said it that made him instantly smile like an idiot.
He also started paying more attention to the hashtags on Twitter and Instagram. #PartnersInCrime was still rather popular, even though it was a month since anyone last used this phrase on stream. Corpse also found out that #Y/Nforthebride was trending for some time; he even managed to stumble across a few fanarts.
There was this urge to send them to Y/N, but he was too nervous that it would make things awkward between them... After all, he didn’t know how she felt about that whole shipping thing.
That’s why he decided to just leave things between them as they are, and be happy that he’s at least her friend.
Corpse nearly jumped out of his skin, when he was brought back to reality by the sound of an upcoming FaceTime call. Y/N’s photo appeared on his screen, her smiley face which he had assigned as her contact photo. His lips corners curled up in a smile almost unwittingly.
“Hey Y/N/N” he said after answering the call.
“Hi Corpse” she smiled softly upon hearing his voice. Although the screen on her side was dark, she didn’t mind not seeing Corpse’s face. She respected his wish to remain faceless and enjoyed their conversations anyway.
“Whatcha doin’?”
“Just editing the new video. I guess I’ll upload it in the morning... but I’m not sure yet.”
“Well let me know then, I wanna be the first one to see it.”
“Sure thing, Corpse” she chuckled, lowering her gaze bashfully. Corpse just looked at her face for a moment, unable to stop smiling to himself. Then he remembered why they were talking in the first place.
“So... have you seen my text?” Y/N sighed at his question but nodded her head slowly. “And what do you think?”
“I don’t know, Corpse...” she ran a hand through her hair in a nervous gesture. “...if that’s a good idea, I mean.”
“Well, it’s been a while. No pressure though, if you don’t wanna play then it’s totally fine.” he quickly clarified. “I just thought it would be fun if you joined us, even if just for a moment. I’m sure everyone would go crazy.”
Her smile widened slightly at his words, but she still didn’t look convinced. Sure, it was tempting to join them. She wanted to do it each time Sean or Felix bombarded her with messages and codes to the lobby, both inviting her to join the group in the game. But then she remembered how people reacted to her appearance in their streams... and suddenly it didn’t seem like such a good idea anymore.
“We’re gonna play on Polus...” he added after a moment when she still didn’t say anything. “That one map with the planetary base... there’s a lava pit, y’know. Just saying...”
She laughed wholeheartedly at his words, remembering their last game when Corpse jumped into the lava for her.
“Sykkuno’s gonna be there as well” Corpse continued. “And I promise I won’t kill you this time.”
“Even if I’m the last player alive?” she joked.
“Even then, Y/N.”
Corpse stifled a laugh, as she cocked her head to the side and narrowed her eyes slightly as if trying to spot him in the darkness.
“Are you streaming, Corpse?” she then asked.
“Not yet. I’m gonna start the stream as soon as you say yes, though.”
“Oh c’mon” she laughed at his words “That’s emotional blackmail!”
“Maybe. Is it working?” he asked.
Y/N let out a heavy breath and ran a hand down her face. Corpse watched in anticipation as she seemed to have some internal battle with herself. He hoped that she’s gonna agree, he really missed playing with her.
“All right, then.” she suddenly said, and his breath hitched in his throat. “I’m gonna stay for a few rounds I guess...”
“Wait, really?” he asked, a smile on his face only widening.
“Well, yeah, partner.” she replied, which made his cheeks go warm “Your imposter techniques haven’t been very effective lately... Someone needs to help you out, or you’re gonna lose your title of the king of the Imposters.”
“Oh, is that’s how it is now?” he laughed in fake shock. “I wouldn’t have to worry about losing the title if my accomplice hadn’t left me all alone!”
“All right, all right.” she giggled at his accusations. “Your accomplice is on her way to support you.”
Corpse smiled even wider at the sound of her laughter. Her eyes shined with happiness when she was giggling, which only brought out their E/C color. The fact that his stupid babbling was the reason for her smile was making him feel extremely proud of himself.
“But just so you know... I still have no idea how this map works, so I’m afraid I’m gonna need you to guide me around it...”
“Y’know you could as well just say you want to hang out with me...”
“Corpse!” she laughed, her cheeks blushing in embarrassment.
“Just kidding Y/N” he chuckled at her reaction. “Of course I’m gonna guide you, don’t worry.”
“Okay then...” she said after a moment, looking at the screen again. “I’ll be there in a few minutes. Will you send me the code, please?”
“Sure I will, Y/N”
“Okay. See you later, partner” she smiled brightly.
“See you, partner.”
When Y/N ended the call, Corpse let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding. He sighed in relief and ran a hand through his hair, before moving to sit behind his desk.
It was only after he started the stream that he realized he was blushing. Not only because Y/N would join them, but because there was also another thing he wanted to ask her about, but didn’t find the courage to yet...
***
By the time Y/N turned on her computer and started the game, Corpse has already sent her the code, and there was a Discord invite waiting for her as well. She bit her lip nervously as her heartbeat quickened.
Was she nervous? As hell.
She did everything she could to avoid being in unnecessary spotlight since she started receiving those hate messages. Perhaps escaping the problem wasn’t the best solution, but it definitely was a comfortable one. People wouldn’t have a reason to hate on her if she disappeared.
But then she couldn’t say no to Corpse. And truth to be said - she really missed playing with her friends. From what she’d seen on Twitter, the lobby would be filled with those she’d already played with, so she wasn’t that nervous before the game. What she was nervous about though, was how people would react.
Accepting Corpse’s request was something she did due to the sudden rush of courage. And now there was no coming back.
She knew Corpse would understand if she changed her mind... but she heard how excited he was when she had agreed. She couldn’t do it to him.
So, once she’d taken a deep breath and put her headphones on, Y/N accepted the invite and braced herself for the inevitable chaos that was bound to take place in the call. She decided to wait with joining the lobby though - at least until they realize she’s with them.
“..the fuck you’re talking about?!” Felix’s voice was the first thing she heard, which made her roll her eyes with a smile. “It’s not my fault I sound like that! At least I don’t have a liar voice like Rae!”
“HEY!” the girl yelled “I don’t have a liar voice!”
“You do, you’re using it even now!” Jack argued, much to Rae’s dismay.
“What is going on here” Corpse’s deep voice sounded out suddenly.
“Oh, you’re here! Finally” Sykkuno immediately welcomed him with his always happy voice.
“Yeah, sorry that I’m late guys.”
“No worries, man” Pewdiepie spoke up again. “We were just talking about playing the voice card and that you’re basically the only one who can do it.”
“Not fair at all!” Rae chimed in, making Corpse chuckle.
“The voice card...” he hummed after a moment, before adding. “I wouldn’t really say I’m the only one though...”
“Well who else then? Everyone else either starts laughing or have a liar voice” Dave asked, and Rae scoffed at the last words.
“Well what about my guest?”
Y/N inhaled sharply, realizing that now she should probably reveal herself.
“Oh, right! Who you’re bringing man?” Sean asked with curiosity.
That’s when Y/N typed in the game code, and her white astronaut appeared in the lobby.
“Wait, who’s- HOLY SHIT” Sean all but yelled, when realization hit him. Y/N laughed loudly at his reaction, and her voice only seemed to prove to everyone that she really was there.
“KIDDO WHAT THE FUCK” Felix reflected Jack’s response, yelling over his friend.
“Oh my god, hi!”
“What a surprise!” Y/N managed to catch Sykkuno’s words. “It’s so amazing to have you here, Y/N/N!”
“As I live and breathe.” another voice spoke up, and Toast’s little astronaut came face to face with her white bean. “My lifelong nemesis. Back here snap my neck again, huh?”
“Yeah, happy to hear you too, Toast” Y/N giggled at his words, then she adressed the whole group. “Hi guys.”
“Okay I did not expect that in the slightest” Sean laughed happily “You’re here kiddo!”
“I am” she smiled from ear to ear, even though they couldn’t see her.
“Wait- Corpse, is that the thing you had to take care of?” her best friend asked Corpse with suspicious voice.
“Well...” he trailed off and cleared his throat, making everyone laugh.
“That’s so great Y/N! We missed you so much!” Rae thundered over the bickering of the boys. “The game hasn’t been the same without you...”
“Agreed. I suddenly stopped dying.” Toast commented, making her roll her eyes with a laugh.
“I don’t know if I should be happy or fucking scared right now.” Felix laughed nervously. “With Corpse and Y/N? We’re fucked now, guys.”
“I promise I’ll go easy on you, I haven’t played in so long I think I forgot all my strategies...”
“Yeah, sure.” Toast’s forever suspicious voice made her smile wider. “Just don’t kill me in the first roung, okay? I won’t vote you off just stay the fuck away from me you little murderer.”
“Okay, I promise I won’t kill you...”
She couldn’t stop herself from laughing, and the smile remained on her face even when they started the game. It only seemed to widen, when she saw the sign Imposter on her screen.
Only to giggle hysterically when she realized that Toast was the other imposter...
And so the game went on with Y/N and Toast cooperating like perfect serial killers. Corpse did as he promised and guided her through the map, both of them being closely followed by Sykkuno. Because of that she’d just sabotage the map most of the time to give Toast opportunities to kill their friends, but eventually managed to sneak out when her two fellow crewmates were doing their tasks. It just so happen that Pewds was walking past her, and she might’ve accidentally snapped his neck...
“Goddamnit! I knew it! I fucking knew it was you!” Sean yelled once the game was over and Y/N saw the sign VICTORY on her screen, her small character standing next to Toast’s one. He was ejected at some point because Poki managed to walk in on him killing Rae, but Y/N remained undetected until the very end. Perhaps the fact that Corpse was one of the two crewmates who were left alive had something to do wtih it...
“That was rude” Pewds said in a whiny voice, clearly referring to their encounter which led to his death. “I was just happily walking around, doing my tasks like a good crewmate, and then boom! Y/N happened”
“I would say I’m sorry... but I’m really not” she laughed, making Felix gasp in shock.
“That’s what happens when you work with Toast!”
“Good game, Y/N. That was amazing” the man in question said appreciatively.
“Will you finally forgive me for killing you that one time if I say that being imposters with you was cool?” she laughed nervously.
“Actually... Yeah, I guess we can bury the hatchet now. AND we should team up more in the future.”
“Great!”
“Excuse me, what?” Corpse’s voice made the whole lobby laugh. “I don’t remember us cancelling our partnership, Y/N.”
“Corpse...”
“Are you trying to steal my accomplice from me Toast?”
“Well she’s a great partner in crime after all...” Toast deliberately used the phrase, making Corpse gasp.
“Hey! She’s my partner! Find yourself your own, Toast” Corpse joked, making Y/N laugh bashfully, her cheeks warming up at his words.
“Yeah yeah, I remember, don’t worry man. No one’s gonna take your partner in crime away from you...” Toast’s teasing voice made them all laugh, Corpse and Y/N included.
For the next few rounds Y/N played as a crewmate, running around the map with either Corpse or Sykkuno and doing her tasks. During meetings they joked and laughed, and for a moment, she stopped thinking about what people watching her friend’s streams might think about her presence. After all, there was at least a small chance that they didn’t think about it at all, and simply enjoyed watching their favoirte youtubers. Just as she enjoyed playing with her friends.
Oh, and by the way, Corpse kept his promise and didn’t kill her even when she was the last player alive...
It was soon time when everyone started slowly leaving the lobby, having played for over three hours. Y/N also said her goodbyes to the others and promised that she’d join them to play a game called Raft next week.
When she turned her computer off and threw herself on her bed, Y/N immediately grabbed her phone to call Corpse. He answered right away.
“Well hello, partner...” she rolled her eyes with a smile when he accented the last word. “Or should I say, traitor, instead?”
“Corpse... you know I would never betray you...”
“Well how can I be so sure, now that I know how cool it is to be imposters with Toast?” she knew he was joking, she could almost hear the smile in his voice.
“Not nearly as cool as it is with you, Corpse” Y/N grinned from ear to ear when Corpse scoffed.
“I spare your life so many times and that’s what I get in return? You cheat on me with Toast?” he said in disbelief “I’m disappointed, Y/N, I really am.”
“I would never!” she laughed through her words, even though her cheeks were now red because of Corpse’s words. “You’re the best partner in crime, Corpse, I wouldn’t trade you for anyone else!”
Not only in the game, she thought.
“Hmm, alright. Let’s say I believe you.” he said after a moment of thinking.
“I mean it, Corpse...” Y/N said after calming down from her laughter. “I... I really wanted to thank you.”
“Thank me? For what?” he asked, genuinely surprised.
“Well, first of all for inviting me to today’s game... I really had lots of fun, it was great to play and talk with the others. And I wouldn’t be in the lobby if not for you...” Y/N mumbled, before verbalizing her previous thoughts. “And I also wanted to thank you for just... you know... being my friend. My real life partner in crime. I just wanted you to know I’m really glad I met you...”
Corpse was silent for a good few moments, and Y/N started panicking that maybe she said something wrong, or maybe he found her spontaneous confession funny, or worse, dumb. She was almost ready to somehow laugh it all off, when his voice cut her off.
“Thank you, Y/N. It really means a lot to me too.” he sounded like he had some troubles with speaking, which made Y/N furrow her brows in worry.
“Is everything okay, Corpse?”
“Yeah, I...” he stuttered, then laughed nervously. “I just didn’t expect that and... yeah. It’s not something I hear on a daily basis, especially from someone like you.”
Someone like me?
“But what you said... it’s mutual.” he said after a moment, and Y/N couldn’t stop herself from grinning like an idiot. “You’re the best partner in crime I could ask for. And not only in the game.”
She could as well just pass out there and there...
“So uhm... there was one thing I wanted to ask you...”
“Yeah?”
“I was wondering if maybe... you know, if you’d have some time... and if you’d want to of course... would you maybe like to visit me here in San Diego?”
Yeah, passing out seems like a good idea.

Happier|Part Three
A/N: Here is part 3!! Sorry it had taken so long, I had gone back and forth on deciding if this would be the last part or not. I decided to make it an even four so there will be a Part Four! Hope you enjoy. It’s another chapter of angst! (What’s new) All mistakes are my own!
Part One|Part Two
Word Count: 1800
Warnings: swearing, angst
Tumblr media
You sat awkwardly between Scott and Lisa as they continued to have a conversation that you were trying your hardest to pay attention to but you were having no such luck. Your gaze and your mind kept wandering over to your best friend who was currently standing in the corner talking with a buddy. Chris’s eyes darted towards yours and you immediately diverted your eyes anywhere else.
You had been doing this for the last two hours. Neither of you is willing to make the first move to go over and talk to each other. It had been three weeks since the incident during the girls night. Chris had texted you about twenty minutes after you left, but you didn’t respond. That became a trend for about two weeks before he just stopped texting you all together. Quite frankly you had forgotten about the bitch incident two days after the fact. But you kept telling yourself that putting space between the two of you was what you needed to get over these feelings that you just couldn’t get rid of.
Because six months of being in a different country wasn’t space enough.
And you know what they say: distance makes the heart grow fonder.
But Carissa had insisted that you come to her little birthday gathering that she was having at the house. So now here you were, being completely miserable in a room full of party goers.
You turned your focus back on the other Evans’ in your life and smiled when Lisa made a joke, but still contributed very little to the conversation.
“I’m going to go get a refill.” You wiggled your half empty cup for emphasis before excusing yourself.
You let out a sigh of relief when you noticed the kitchen was fairly empty, only a couple that you didn’t recognize talking in the corner. You grabbed the pitcher of margaritas and filled your glass before taking a huge sip and then filling it again.
“Margaritas that good?” You spun around at the unfamiliar voice. Your face grew hot as you came face to chest with a very tall, very handsome man. His dark eyes were raised in question but his lips were settled in a knowing smirk. “Or are they just bad enough to make you forget something you don’t want to remember?”
“A little bit of both.” You replied, taking another sip. Mystery man laughed and you smiled. He reached past you to grab his own cup to fill up.
“I’m Marcus.” He said simply, his eyes raking up and down your body. You internally rolled your eyes but decided to play along. He was hot and you were lonely.
“Y/N.” You held your hand out to his. “Nice to meet you.”
“Likewise.” He smirked.
“So how do you know Carissa?”
“I don’t, funny enough.” He explained. “I’m here with a friend.”
“Ahh.” You raised your eyebrow asking the silent question.
“His name is Brady.” Marcus laughed.
“I see.” You took another sip of your margarita, a smile hiding behind the cup.
- - - - - - - - - - - -
You were shocked at how much fun you were having talking to Marcus. He was funny and charming and knew all the things to say to make you blush and yet you couldn’t help that your eyes would wander over to where Chris was sitting, Carissa perched on his lap.
Your attention was snapped back to Marcus when you felt his hand rest on your cheek, his thumb brushing against your lips.
“Sorry, you have a little…” He trailed off as he wiped his thumb across your parted lips.
You were sure he was going to kiss you.
And you were sure that you might just kiss him back.
Marcus leaned forward and you felt your eyes flutter close, anticipating the kiss. But it never came.
“Hey.” You and Marcus both turned to see Chris stalking towards you, his eyes narrowed.
“Hey man,” Marcus moved away and reached out his hand but Chris didn’t slow down. You watched in horror as Chris walked right up to the two of you and threw a punch hitting Marcus square in the face.
“Are you fucking crazy?” You cried out as Marcus fell to the ground clutching his nose. Chris stood over him, his shoulders rising with anger and his fists still clenched. “Chris!” His eyes snapped to yours and they softened slightly.
“What the hell dude?” Marcus groaned from the floor.
“I think it’s time for you to go.” Chris growled.
Marcus stood up with the help of some other people before being escorted out of the kitchen, leaving just you and Chris and the small pool of blood on the floor.
You looked down at Chris’s hand which was covered in blood. At first you thought it was just Marcus’s but then you realized that there was a large cut running across his knuckles. Sighing you pushed him out of the kitchen towards his bedroom and to his ensuite.
“Sit down.” You pushed him onto the toilet before going to the cabinet where you knew the first aid kit was. “I can’t believe you.”
“You can’t believe me?” Chris snapped. “What the hell were you doing with that guy? In my goddamn kitchen no less.”
“We were having a conversation, you Neanderthal.” You answered, as you rinsed off his cut. Chris hissed in pain as you ran an alcohol wipe over his knuckle.
“Looked like more than that.”
“So what if it was, Chris. And if I remember correctly, it was only a couple weeks ago that you and Carissa were telling me to get out there and meet someone.” You raised your eyebrow slightly.
“She said that, not me.” Chris looked away from you.
“So what? I’m just supposed to stay single? Is that it? I’m not good enough for your friends? Or do you really think that there’s no one out there that can be with me?”
Chris’s eyes snapped to yours, the blue darkening. “First of all that jackass is not my friend. And second of all, I didn’t say that. If anything you are too good for the losers out there. You’re too good for anybody.”
“Well then who?  Who gets the Chris Evans stamp of approval? Please tell me, so I can go and find him.”
“I don’t know! Just not that guy.” Chris stood up towering over you.
“God, you know you are so fucking annoying.” You pushed against his chest as you turned to walk away from him.  “I’m just trying to be happy. Why can’t you just let me be happy?”
“You’re going to be happy with that jerkoff?” Chris stepped closer to you. He pulled you back towards him, spinning you around so that you were looking at him. He lifted your chin so you were eye to eye. “You think that guy is the one that’s going to give you everything that you need? That you deserve?”
“Well the guy that I want I can’t have, so I guess he’ll have to do.” Your heart fluttered as you realized just how close you and Chris had gotten. Your noses were touching and your lips just a breath away from each other. Chris leaned forward slightly, his mouth open but no words coming out.
“I’m sorry.” Chris sighed, his head dropping.
“For what? Punching out the first guy to take interest in me or calling me a bitch?”
Chris winced, his eyes full of regret. He looked like he was about to respond when a voice interrupted the both of you.
“Chris? Y/N?” You and Chris immediately separated at the sound of Scott’s voice echoing through the bedroom and into the bathroom.
“In here.” Chris cleared his throat as he called out to his brother.
“Jesus Christ, Chris. What was that?” Scott threw his hands up. “Carissa is pissed.”
“I know. I just…” Chris trailed off as he cast a sideways glance in your direction. You refused to look at him, only focusing on the pattern of the floor tile. Chris let out a sigh as he rubbed his face with his good hand. “I’ll go talk to her. Where is she?”
“Last I saw she stepped outside to check on the guy you fucking decked.”
Chris just nodded, looking at you once more before brushing past Scott and out the door.
You and Scott stood there in silence.
“So how long?” He asked, finally breaking the void.
You looked up at the younger Evans brother, whose hands were now on his hips.
“What?”
“How long are you and my idiot older brother going to pretend that you aren’t madly in love with each other.”
Your heart dropped to your stomach at Scott’s words.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You stated incredulously.
“I’m talking about the fact that my brother basically broke some poor guy’s nose for even looking in your direction. Or how you guys have been looking at each other like forlorn lovers this entire night.”
You turned your head away.
“It’s not like that, Scott.” You whispered. “He’s my-he doesn’t look at me like that.”
“Sweetheart, are you dumb or are you stupid.” Scott’s words held a joking air to them. He stepped closer to you and took your hands in his. “You should tell him how you feel.”
“Scott, stop.” Your eyes blurred with tears. “I love him, he’s my best friend and I’m not willing to lose his friendship over a stupid crush that will eventually go away.”
“Honey, if it hasn’t gone away in the last five years it’s not going away anytime soon.”
You stared at him with wide eyes as you processed what he said.
“You think I didn’t know this whole time? Hell, I think the only person who didn’t know was Chris.”
“Oh god.” You groaned, dropping your head. You were officially embarrassed. Had it really been that obvious for so long?
“It’s nothing to be embarrassed about, honey.” Scott soothed as he  grabbed your hands.
“I need to go. I shouldn’t have come anyway.” You mumbled as you pulled away from Scott.
“Y/N...you don’t have to leave.”
“Yes I do.” You shook your head, refusing to look at him. You booked it out of the room and down the hallway, making every effort to avoid anyone and everyone. You walked out to your car and paused as you noticed Chris and Carissa standing by the side of the house. You tried to walk by without them noticing you but as you heard Carissa’s voice call out to you. You had a choice: stop and talk to her or walk the five steps to your car and leave the night behind you.
Before you could truly over think you rushed to your car, got in and drove off.

In the last chapter --  «-Enough playing now, you're going to sleep. -B-but ! This wasn't what I asked for....You're really a coward after all...You virgin... » He carried you to his room, putting you on the bed and sitting next to you. «-I'd love to prove you wrong. However, it would be better if you were in a state where you'd be able to recall how good I am. If you want me to fuck you this badly then maybe ask me when you're sober.
Part I - Part II
Part II  -Yeah yeah...Pff..You're no fun Sabo. Things were finally getting interesting ! »
He smiled seeing that you were now calmer. You started to yawn and bury your face in his pillow. He loved to see you getting so comfortable in his room. He really needed a cold shower after your little show.  -Goodnight (Y/N). I'll sleep on the couch. You can get comfortable. -Are you crazyy ? You gonna leave me alone like this ? Let's sleep together~ -Come on (Y/N), you're a big girl. You could sleep alone for one night, would you ? Translation : I don't want to spend the whole night with a semi. And you're dangerously flirty, and I have wanted you for years and now I have to abstain.
-Pleaaaase. You said looking at him with puppy eyes. He rolled his eyes placing a hand in his hair. God.damn.it.
You won again. Like every time. * * *  You opened your eyes hardly next day, feeling something hard against your thigh. You looked at the ceiling
Oh...I am not in my room...Where the fuck am I ?
you turn around only to discover the embodiment of Adonis to your side. A light beam was lighting up Sabo's face. He looked like an angel as his beauty couldn't be that of a human.
Was he always this handsome ?
You didn't know, in fact, you have never had the occasion to wake up in his bed. Wait, in his bed ? This realization came slowly as your head was still foggy from yesterday's consumption.
You looked down, the thing that was pressing against your leg was indeed :
his thing.
You frowned, blushed, pulled away, put a hand on your lips repressing an internal scream, all of this in around three seconds. You then tried to calm down, telling yourself that it was very normal for a man to experience this kind of morning unconviniences, and that Sabo was a man, after all. Even if  you have always seen him as a bestfriend, he was still a man that is capable of physical attraction.
Now that this internal monologue was done with, you felt a bit calmer, but that didn't answer your question. You got out of bed, trying to recall what happened after going in the bar. And it came back. All of it. Without any mercy for your feelings.
You wanted the ground to swallow you whole. Your only wish was to disappear which meant : calling Nami. You headed out of the house, not even having the courage to face your bestfriend.
« Namiiiii -Uh ? What's the matter ? -I fucked up. I fucked up really bad. -Oh yeah ? Tell me about it. -Wait, why do you seem excited ? -O-oh I'm not excited. Come on tell me. What else could you have possibly done ? -I asked Sabo to fuck me. -Wait what ? You could hear Vivi ask Nami about what happened and her answering « She asked Sabo to fuck her ». -Nami ! Don't go on telling everyone about this. I'm on my way. -For starters, Vivi isn't « everyone », she's my girlfriend. And I'm here waiting for you to tell me what happened. -Wait, I'll come at your place. This can't be discussed over the phone. »
You hung up on her. Ten minutes later, you were at her place. Extremely confused. Nami was painting her nails bright red on the bed while Vivi was sitting comfortably on a chair. You let your whole body weight fall on a lounge pug, tourmented.  «-So tell me how you and Sabo ended up fucking. She emphasized the last word in a way that made you almost choke on air.  -We didn't actually. Nami and Vivi both sighed in a synchronized « Ah » of disappointment. -So hmm...I don't remember clearly. I was really drunk-- well that you're aware of and...And Sabo didn't want to leave me alone so we went to his place. Ace was at Thatch's so we were alone. We hugged and he comforted me. Then I started teasing him, and I don't know what I was thinking, but I kissed him, and then I asked him to fuck me. -Wow that escalated quickly. Said Nami as she continued painting her nails.
-Well, I was heartbroken, I needed something, someone, and he was there, and you know Sabo, he's a good guy ! I don't know what's worse, the fact that I asked him to fuck me or the fact that he said no.
-Oh god I'm so so sorry
- Nami please don't make things worse for me.
-No offense, but you're so dense. Sabo has always been into you. Do you want him, or do you not ? I know that going right into a relationship after a breakup is a bad idea. But honestly it's worth giving it a shot. He's a really good guy. Try dating someone nice for once.
-I don't know, he has something unsettling about him. Like « almost too good to be true » you know ? Added Vivi.
-Ohhh~ I see. Honestly, I always thought that he was a bit prude and hella vanilla. I mean, yes, he's my best friend. But he has never talked about girls to me or about sexual stuff. So I just assumed that. I never thought that he'd be packin' like that. You said as you popped a lollipop in your mouth.
-Ah ? Was it really that impressive ? asked Nami, genuinely curious.
-Yeah. On a scale from 0 to doflamingo he's a solid eight point seventy five. (*)
-Oh gosh. I understand why you're so worked up now.
-That's really...precise. Added Vivi, a bit horrified.
(*) [ The dear reader might need this clarification ; Doflamingo was Law's uncle, he sometimes came to pick him up after uni with his luxurious lamborghini. He wore extremely tight pants that left little to the imagination. And he was most known among your clique for having a nine incher. It was a running joke wether to know if Law got his uncle's genes. Needless to say that this joke wasn't to Law's taste. Now back to our adorable Y/N. ]
-So. I really don't know what to do. I am still heartbroken. -And horny. Added the ginger. -Yeah, that too. I'm afraid of ruining our friendship. -Listen dear, said Nami as she was closing the nail polish bottle, if you're not going for it, someone else would. And trust me, that girl Koala is upping her game. She's going to steal him right in front of your eyes, just like this - and she snapped her fingers. -Oh, and then, you can forget about being « best friends ». Said Vivi adding fuel to the fire. -Yeah, once he's gonna start dating, he won't have too much time for you-- and then, that Koala girl, my god, she seems extremely possessive ! -No way, your voice was detached, trying to act is if you weren't worried, Sabo has never dated any girl before.- -Yes but he seems to get along with that girl. And to be honest, she's kinda cute.
-Nami ! Vivi pinched her forearm playfully, pretending to be jealous.
-That hurt ! And don't be jealous, you know that you're my only one~
-Hmm...I prefer that. Vivi laughed. You started caughing reclaiming for their attention.
-Attention please ! We're discussing my dick-appointment here.
-Jesus you're really annoying, (Y/N), just go for it already.
-How much did he pay you to tell me this huh ?
-What ? He didn't pay me ! You're just always getting your heart broken. I'm just trying to be a good friend.
-Say that you are trying to get rid of her~ Jokes Vivi.
-Vivi, don't expose me like this- Nami plays along while laughing.
-I hate you girls ! You say as you throw a pillow on Nami. The ginger starts complaining that you messed her Nail polish, and the whole scene metamorphosed into a pillow fight.
* * *
You spent the whole day with the girls, chit-chatting about boys and girls and playing stupid games. You felt way more comfortable now, less ashamed. However, you were surprised because you didn't get a message from your bestfriend. You wondered wether he was mad at you, it wasn't in his habits.
You decided to message Ace [click for conversation] [ (Y/N) : Heyy amigo is Sabo ok ? Did he tell u smth abt yesterday ? Ace : Ouch, your hurting my feelings, </3 Only talking to me to ask about my brother~ Yea hes okay why tho ? (Y/N) : Ooo kay. He's home ? Ace : He is. Why don't u directly text him ? (Y/N) : Don't tell him I asked. Btw I didn't forget about those 10 bucks you « borrowed » from me. Give it back.] He didn't answer. You sighed and decided to go see Sabo to settle things down. It was the first time that you were embarrassed to see your best friend. You dressed up in a black skirt and t shirt. You didn't usually pay attention to your looks when you went to hang out at Sabo's, but you were really stressed out and what the girls have said about Koala made you scared of losing him. After all, you had some abandonment issues. You had to settle this down once and forever. You arrived at the guy's place, it was an apartment not so far from your own student flat. You knocked on the door and Ace opened : -Ohhh, (Y/N), he whistles, lookin' like a girl today huh ? -What are you implying you dumbass ? Where's Sabo ? -He's in his room with Koala.- -Wait what ? Koala ? What is she doing here ? Ace raised an eyebrow then said amused ; -I don't know, go ask him yourself. -You're useless as usual. -Always so sweet. You on your period or something ? -I didn't forget about my twenty bucks by the way. -I said I'm goin' to pay you back alright ? Now go talk to Sabo. You and Ace were always teasing each other in a brotherly way, but in reality, he really cared for you, it was just your usual way of communication. But it was true that knowing that Koala was in Sabo's room put you in a bad mood. You knocked on the door with a knot in your stomach. Did they start dating ? Was Sabo interested in her ? These ideas were torturing you. But why did you care anyways ? It was none of your business. He could date whoever he wants. You opened the door but there was only Sabo relaxing on his bed, still fully clothed. « - Sabo ?-Oh, (Y/N), what brings you here ? -Why ? Do I need a reason to see my best friend ? He sits on bed looking at you. He doesn't fail to notice your cute outfit, it was different from your usual sweatpants and hoodies, the way it complemented your figure was almost too much for him. Just that sight was driving him insane, but his face didn't betray his emotions, like always, he acted friendly, not an ounce of lust in his dark ebony eyes. You took place next to him. He smelled good, you thought. The same fresh minty smell as last time. Did he always smell this good ? -(Y/N) ?Huh ? Is everything okay ? His voice seemed concerned. He cared for you. And you had those stupid immature and posessive thoughts. Get a grip of yourself, (Y/N), you thought. -Oh yea-- wasn't Koala here ? Ace told me you were with her.
You tried so hard to act like you didn't care, but he knew you like the back of his hand. But still, he played along. -Hmm..Yes. She just left. I was going out as well. He says with a sweet smile, looking at his watch. You couldn't help but make a disappointed face. -But Sabo I wanted to - I'm really sorry (Y/N), let's talk later. He ruffles your hair and you close your eyes as he does so. You felt stressed out. What happened exactly ? You felt intimidated in his presence for the first time. You wanted him to stay and talk this out. It was a bit awkward for you now. You never thought too much. As he was going out of the room you held the fabric of his coat tight in your hand ; -Sabo- -Hum ? Need me to drop you somewhere ? -N-no. You let his sleeve go, realizing what you have just done, I'll stay a bit then go back home. Don't worry about me. -Alright then. See you later ? -Yeah. See ya. ]
You looked at Sabo go away and you followed him shortly after. Meanwhile Ace was sitting on the couch and watching some movies. You went back home and was quite tormented. It wasn't the right time to worry as you had your assignments and studies to deal with. On one hand, you didn't even have the time to think of your ex boyfriend and his cheating but on the other, you felt like you were let down by Sabo. But why ? He didn't do anything. He just found himself a new friend and a potential new girlfriend.
He didn't even talk about her, but why where you so upset by him meeting her ? After all, he had the right to date just like you always did.
A few days have passed and you didn't get the chance to talk to Sabo. Your exams were getting closer and closer and you didn't feel ready.
Usually, Sabo would help you with your assignments but you were too scared to ask. You realized how much you relied on him and how he has been always there for you.
Who were you exactly to him ?
Maybe you took him for granted.
As you were on your bed looking at the ceiling and trying to collect every drop of motivation in your system to study, you heard your phone ring. It was Sabo's ringtone ! ----- Tag list : @vemuabhi @chloe-abbacchio @mwls-garden @soanywaysistartedsimping If you wanna get tagged just ask for it :)

Ignorance is Bliss
Pairing: Kageyama x reader, One-sided Atsumu x reader
Genre/Warnings: Yandere Kageyama, NSFW, Toxic Relationship, Misogynistic Behavior and Thoughts, Mind Break, Implied Manipulation
Summary: Atsumu learns the hard way how true the saying ‘ignorance is bliss’ is and he wonders how much simpler life would have been if he had never gotten involved with you.
From what Atsumu knows of Kageyama Tobio from their high school tournament interactions, from what his cheerful orange-haired teammate tells him, and from their encounters in the professional circuit, he thinks he has a pretty clear picture of who the blue eyed setter is. So imagine his surprise when he meets you at a hangout Hinata has organized.
You’re not the only female at the event, with many other attendees choosing to bring their significant others, and Atsumu has a blast trying to pair up all the unfamiliar faces with past and present opponents and teammates based on appearances and personalities alone. He’s on a roll, but pauses when he gets to you.
There’s a wide grin spread across your face, your eyes excitedly shining as you vigorously nod at something Hinata is saying before you erupt into a boisterous, stomach busting laughter that echoes throughout the entire room. You’re wild, cheerful, fun, and if he didn’t know Bokuto was single, he’d automatically assume the two of you might be a couple with your similar radiant and untamed personalities.
Maybe Tanaka, the baldy from Karasuno? No, he’s married to that pretty manager he was always obsessed with since highschool.
Kuroo? The messy haired businessman seems like someone who wouldn’t mind a wild lover, but it seems unlikely from the way the cat-like man hasn’t even looked your way once the entire time.
Before he can think of another guess, he freezes at the sight of Kageyama walking to your side, intimately pressed against you as he moves some food from his plate to yours, a slight upward twitch of his lips and an unfamiliar softness in his eyes as he gazes at you.
No freaking way.
When Atsumu thinks of the type of woman Kageyama would date, he thinks of sweet, well-mannered girls, caring and nurturing motherly types who would be patient enough to deal with the admittedly emotionally and socially challenged athlete and take of their idiotic, but well-meaning boyfriend.
He doesn’t think of women like you. A woman loud enough to rival both Bokuto and Hinata. A woman as warm as the sun. A woman who can so easily ignore the stubborn setter’s barked commands for Hinata and her to quiet down and behave properly.
Atsumu doesn’t miss the scowl, the hint of disappointment in blue eyes when you ignore the dark-haired setter.
Looks like even though Kageyama’s “King of the Court” title hasn’t been used or brought up in years, some things never change. And Atsumu wonders how long the two of you will stay together before Kageyama’s need to be in complete control and authority destroys everything between the two of you.
Not long, he thinks, as he weasels his way into the conversation, intent on getting to know you better so that when you come crashing down from Kageyama’s tyrannical rule, he can be the one to catch you and show you a life, a relationship where you can truly be loved and appreciated for exactly who you are, a kindred wild spirit like himself.
Atsumu doesn’t see you much after that since both the Adlers and Jackals are incredibly busy with pro season, practicing, and traveling, but the two of you text back and forth constantly, hitting it off right away just as Atsumu knew you would. He’s quick to lunge for his phone with every ping, eyes constantly checking for new messages, chortling and smiling like a giddy fool in love with every text you send his way.
The conversations start off amazingly, no usual awkward small talk or niceties usually associated with getting to know someone, and Atsumu feels like he can truly be himself, unfiltered as he rants to you about something stupid Osamu did that annoyed him, sends a dumb inappropriate joke your way, shyly tells you about his hopes and dreams. And his heart soars as you match his sincerity and openness, revealing more and more of who you are to him, making it harder and harder for him not to fall in love with you.
But as time goes on, he swears you’re changing, and he’s not sure if it’s for the better.
When you see him at events, practice games, and real matches, your ear-splitting grin turns into tiny demure smiles, your bone-crushing bear hugs you greet him with become polite bows, your rowdy laughter that could rival Kuroo’s hyena howls become soft giggles hidden behind a hand you raise to cover your mouth.
Even your messages are changing and he glares at the properly punctuated and grammatically correct sentences you send him now, his crass jokes responded to with a boring and safe “haha” or completely ignored.
You’re different now and Atsumu hates it.
He hates the way Kageyama seems to proudly beam at your politer mannerisms. He hates what a perfect polished couple the two of you make. But mostly, he hates how he can feel you slipping further and further away from him.
It’s not a surprise when he receives the expensive, high-quality letter in the mail, but it doesn’t mean it hurts any less as the blond setter stares down at the beautiful winding cursive scrawled across the card in front of him, grimacing at the picture perfect engagement photos Kageyama and you had taken together and chosen to incorporate in the wedding invitation.
The selfish child inside of him has half a mind to toss it all into the garbage, forget about it, forget about you. But then he remembers that fateful day and he knows he owes it to that raucous laughter and toothy grin he memorializes and reminisces on to suck it up and celebrate your big day, usher in the next chapter of your life while you end the portion of your story with him.
The wedding venue is disgustingly cookie cutter perfect and Atsumu internally retches at how boring and normal everything is, so unlike the woman who had intrigued him and who he thought he knew.
What happened to your dreams of eloping in a jaw dropping national park?
What happened to your disdain towards getting married in a church by a pastor?
He grimaces as he stiffly stalks down the aisle and plops down in a pew, waiting for the ceremony to start, waiting for this whole thing to be over, waiting to go home and forget any of this ever happened.
It’s easy to zone out as the background music plays, as the speaker drones on and on, and he only looks on in mild interest as the groomsmen and bridesmaids make their way down the aisle, some familiar faces walking past him. But nonchalance turns to something nauseating, something terrifying within Atsumu when he stands up with the rest of the guests as you make your way down the red carpet.
Is that really you?
Logically he knows it must be you, facial features, body, and every other physical attribute matching exactly what he remembers of you. But your eyes…
Had they always been so empty?
No. He knows they hadn’t and he briefly closes his eyes, remembering how vibrant, how fiery those two orbs used to be, feeling sick to his stomach when he opens his eyes and truly looks at you, looks at how vacant and lifeless your eyes are, looks at how perfectly trained and almost robotic your prim and proper steps are.
It’s like you’re nothing more than a living and breathing doll and a sinking suspicion begins to build in his gut as he scrutinizes the black-haired setter carefully watching you as you make your way towards him. And Atsumu thinks he might throw up when he can’t help but notice how similar the look Kageyama is giving you is to the look Kita had given his German Shepherd when the dog had obediently performed a trick for his master.
He knows it might be a crapshoot, knows it might be too late now that the ring around your fourth finger chains you to the blue-eyed setter, but regret and guilt for not noticing earlier and love for the woman he remembers drives him and he continuously messages you in earnest long after the wedding. He talks to you like nothing’s changed, hoping one of his awful jokes will elicit some type of reaction from you, praying that the photo he snaps of your favorite onigiri from Osamu’s restaurant sparks something in you, ignoring the painful sting he feels at your politely austere responses, not letting your emotionless replies deter him.
But it’s no good and he can’t help how off his game he is when they play a practice match against the Adlers, can’t help the way his temper is even shorter than normal, can’t help how he lets his emotions inhibit his skills every time he sees Kageyama across the net. And when he’s finally benched and told to cool his head, all he can think of is what awful things had Kageyama done to break you down so thoroughly, slumping down in his seat with a towel over his head, mind spinning with its wild imagination.
He’s so lost in his head that he doesn’t notice the sound of a whistle marking the end of the match, doesn’t notice the slight commotion as the two teams bow to each other, doesn’t notice the figure making its way towards him. But he does notice the way another pair of shoes enters his field of vision and he lifts his head, body instantly tensing as blue eyes regard him.
“Come over for dinner tonight. She misses you.”
You missed him?
Hope blossoms in Atsumu’s chest and his heart is racing as he rings your doorbell, a bouquet of your favorite flowers in his hands. But he droops a bit at the impersonal cheery greeting you welcome him with as you beckon him in, graciously taking the flowers from him without even a second glance or spark in your eyes when you see the assortment he had painstakingly chosen, treating him like he’s just any visitor and not a close friend who you haven’t seen for months.
And suddenly Atsumu wonders if he really should have come, feeling lightheaded and disoriented as he watches you flutter around the kitchen, a pretty pink pristine apron wrapped around you as you hum to yourself as you slave over the stove, urging the two men to catch up while you cook dinner.
It all feels surreal, like a dream. Bad or good? He can’t decide. It’s jarring to see the woman who always insisted on ordering in greasy junk food, who did everything in her power to never step foot in the kitchen, who always went on and on about equal rights for men and women, become a perfect stay at home housewife, tending to the needs of her husband before hers, serving Kageyama and him so obediently, so submissively. And yet, there’s something oddly...enticing about the whole scene playing out in front of him as twisted as he knows it sounds and he feels disgust at himself when bitter pangs of jealousy strike him.
How can he be jealous of Kageyama? How can he even entertain the idea of being okay with this role you’ve been forced into? How can he be jealous when deep down he knows something’s not right? Knows that you would never have easily or willingly let yourself be molded into something so against everything you believed or thought? Knows that your spirit and mind have been thrashed and tweaked so much that you’re completely broken and mindless, a docile little puppet for Kageyama to completely control?
But he can’t deny the longing and awe he feels as you gracefully set the table, ladling plates with piping hot delicious food, charmingly smiling as both men compliment the meal, fawning and hovering over them as you make sure their cups and plates are always filled, shooing them over to the comfy living room as you prepare dessert and coffee for them and wash the dishes.
Atsumu’s throat goes dry when you literally kneel in front of both of them as you place the tray laden with mouth watering pastries you had just baked, coffee, milk, and sugar in front of both of them, eyes unable to look away from the way your neck naturally arches downwards in submission. And he almost whines when you stand up from your humble position on the floor.
But he’s jolted back to his senses at the brisk command Kageyama directs at you, disbelief and fury grounding him when you don’t hesitate to obediently kiss your husband good night and retire to your room as ordered after wishing Atsumu a pleasant evening
The door to your bedroom has barely closed before he’s lunging at Kageyama, fists bunched up in the front of his shirt.
“What the fuck did you to her?! She’s a grown woman. You can’t just order her around like a slave-”
He’s cut off as he’s abruptly shoved away and there’s a tense silence in the air as Kageyama scoffs and straightens out his shirt.
“She isn’t just any woman. She is my wife. All I did was bring out her true potential, which is why you are going to stop talking to her. I didn’t put all this work and effort into perfecting her for you to come and ruin all her progress. She isn’t the same woman you knew, Miya. She’s a married woman now. A woman married to me. So do us all a favor and forget about her.”
Panic builds in a frenzy inside the blonde setter’s chest. No no no. He can’t just give up so easily. He needs proof. He needs to help you.
“There’s no way she willingly just changed. What the fuck did you do?”
Bone chilling tension once again floods the room and Atsumu nervously shudders at the cruel smirk that spreads across Kageyama’s face.
“Does it matter? The results are all that matters. Isn’t that what you used to say when Kita-san used to talk about process? Plus, it didn’t seem like you minded all that much when my ‘slave’ was kneeling in front of you.”
Bile rises in Atsumu’s throat and he can’t think, can’t breathe as he’s forcefully shoved out the front door, unable to deny the harsh truth of Kageyama’s words, unable to stop imagining the horrors you must have gone through. The rest of the night is a blur as he somehow makes it back home, shaky hands washing his face, brushing his teeth, body shivering and trembling from something other than the cold as he curls up under his covers.
But safe in his own environment, his own home, his own bed, his mind wanders and he thinks back on the night. He thinks about how perfectly the back tie of your frilly apron accentuated the curve of your waist, hips, ass. He thinks about how nice it felt to be taken care of, to have everything being done for him as he sat back and relaxed. And his hand slips underneath his briefs as he thinks about how utterly angelic you looked on your knees in front of him, head and eyes demurely turned down, as he wonders if Kageyama has you trained just as well in the bedroom.
If he had simply asked, would you have crawled between his thighs?
He groans as his hand wraps around his cock, thumb playing with his tip as he imagines your tongue swirling around his head, spreading his pre-cum and your saliva everywhere as you greedily taste and lap at his length. And as he begins to stroke himself, he imagines it’s your throat taking him all the way in, he imagines your doey eyes peering up at him from underneath fluttering lashes, seeking approval, making sure you’re pleasuring your lover, your husband.
God, it’s so easy to imagine replacing Kageyama, imagine being your husband, imagine having you as his perfect slutwife and his back arches, eyes seeing only white and stars, body pulsating with pleasure as he cums harder than he’s ever had before at the thought of using your body as he pleases every night, at the thought of you eagerly serving him day in and day out, at the thought of fucking you raw, breeding you, impregnating you with his seed, letting everyone know exactly who you belong to with your swollen pregnant stomach and leaking tits as your bear his children.
But he chokes out a sob as thick white spurts splatter across his hand, a few teardrops leaking from the corner of his eyes as he buries his face in his pillow, self-loathing and disgust curling inside of him at his traitorous thoughts, a silent plea for forgiveness and a desperate prayer for you to at least be at peace echoing in his head as he cries himself to sleep.

Museum Shenanigans
For Bio Dad Bruce Wayne Month Day 2: Family/Friends
ao3
@maribat-bdbwm
Marinette and her class were at the Louvre for a project. They’d been randomly divided into groups of four, Marinette was with Alix, Nino and Juleka. The whole class was spread out throughout the museum but Alix had wanted to check in with her dad and the three of them had joined her, joking that she was their guide for the museum and that they’d be lost without her. Alix had gone with it and the four of them were headed to her father’s office.
They could hear two voices as they neared his office. Alix had stopped in confusion, probably because she couldn’t recognise the voice since they weren’t someone from the museum. Unfortunately, Marinette did. This was bound to be interesting. The four of them walked into the office to find M. Kubdel speaking to a black-haired blue-eyed boy in a suit.
“Isn’t that Tim Wayne?” Alix whispers from besides her. Nino nods, gaping.
The two of them turn to look at her group, she sees the exact moment her brother recognises her and wishes she could sink into the floor.
“M. Wayne. My daughter, Alix, and her friends.”
Marinette glares at him silently as he shakes hands with all of them.
“Maybe we can join your daughter and her friends, I’m sure you have a lot of work to be done. We won’t be a bother at all,” Tim suggests.
We?
“If they’re fine with it, you can join them.”
When the others nod, Alix tells her father that the Waynes can join them.
As they leave the room together, she whispers, “I will kill you if this goes wrong,”.
He smirks and whispers, “Do I look like I wanna get on Tam’s bad side?”
“Don’t you somehow always manage to?”
He just grins and says, louder this time, “my brothers, Duke and Damian are here too, they should be by the entrance.”
They find Damian and Duke where Tim says they should be. They must have gotten there after her class had arrived at the Louvre, there’s no way she would’ve missed them if they had been there.
Duke spots them first and waves at them, and then he’s grinning and telling Damian something. Damian looks up and locks his gaze on their group. Whatever it is they’re going to do, Marinette wants in, it’s always better to be on the side of chaos.
As Alix leads them throughout the museum, they do actually try to work on their project. But her brothers have fallen behind and are probably planning something. Letting her friends go ahead, she falls in line with her siblings.
“So…are you here on a mission or just normal PR stuff?”
“Both. Some case Diana and B were working on together for which Diana said there was information her but since she can’t come, we’re here instead,” Duke says, “Anyway, what’s the plan?”
“Tt, we already have the plan. Father reviewed it with us several times before we left.”
“Not that plan. The plan for how we’re going to mess with Nette’s friends.”
Marinette grins, “I may have an idea.”

“Marinette, I’d like to go the wing with the pre-classical Greece artifacts,” Damian stated.
“You’ll have to ask Alix, Dami. I’m not the one who knows the museum like the back of my hand,” she replies casually.
Her friends are staring at the two of them open mouthed. “Marinette, you know the Waynes?” Nino asks.
“Don’t be asinine, I’ve never met Dupain-Cheng before today.”
“You literally called her Marinette two seconds ago and she called you Dami,” Alix spluttered.
“You must have misheard, Alix. There's no way I would know the Waynes”
None of them let their masks slip. The rest of her siblings would be proud of their excellent use of Bat training.
“Fine,” Alix mutters, “the artifacts you want to look at are in the lower ground floor which is where we’re headed.”
 .oOo.
 “Hey Nette?”
She hums in response as Duke joins her and her friends where they’ve been for the past fifteen minutes staring at the Egyptian artifacts.
“What’s your project about?
“Well, glowstick, we were just told to look around the museum and make a presentation about some of the artifacts tomorrow.”
“Sounds fun, I’m gonna go back to Damian and Tim before something goes wrong.”
“I don’t think they’ve been alone long enough to destroy anything yet.”
“You never know Mari,” he says in fake solemn voice and heads back.
Marinette tries not to grin as she turns back to her friends who are yet again looking at her like someone completely different.
“I thought you said you didn’t know the Waynes,” Juleka says quietly.
“I don’t.”
Alix’s eye twitches, “He called you Mari and Nette.”
“You could have simply missed the other half of my name.”
“You called him glowstick!”
“Hmm. Did I? Don’t remember doing that. We should get back to our project.”
 .oOo.
They finish in another half an hour and return to next room where they left her brothers. They’re just casually standing around. Probably got whatever it was they came for. And then there’s a rumble and the floors are shaking. Her brothers tense into a fighting stance and Marinette just sighs. Akuma attack. She can see her friends come to the same conclusion.
Nino whispers, “we’re not all going, are we? We can’t just leave the Waynes here.”
“But Adrien wasn’t allowed to come, something about a photo shoot. We'll need more people,” Juleka points out.
“We don’t know what the situation even is yet and Alix obviously can’t come but the remaining two of you come with me.”
“And the Waynes?” Nino asks.
“We’re right here,” Tim says from behind them.
“So, here’s the plan: Alix head back to your dad, Juleka and Nino come with me and the three of you can help civilians and not get involved at all in the fighting. And since I haven’t created a PR mess, I’m not in trouble with Tam.”
“You could still get in trouble with B about revealing everyone’s identities,” Tim replies.
“There’s no one in this room I don’t trust. Now go!”
“Fine,” Damian grumbles, “only because it’s your city.” And the three of them run off.
“You actually do know each other?” Nino screeches.
“Explanations later. Akuma now.”
 .oOo.
The three of them, she’d told the others it wasn’t necessary for them to come, handle the akuma pretty quickly. Her siblings helping with getting the civilians out of the way simplified it a lot more and let the three of them focus on the akuma.
Now they’re at her room and she’s trying to explain the whole thing to her friends. They’ve already gone through the whole keeping each other’s identities a secret. Marinette’s sure it won’t be an issue.
Roaar and Fluff certainly found it funny, Tikki had long since stopped trying to advise her when she was around her siblings and Wayzz was eating peacefully.
“So, the Waynes are the Bats?” Alix repeats for the tenth time.
“Yes.”
“Bruce Wayne is Batman? The man who made international news last month because of something stupid he did at a high coverage event is Batman?”
The four of them wince. Galas are always painfully embarrassing for them. Not that they aren’t equally as chaotic but they’re not the ones who look like idiots.
She sighs, "yes."
"Huh. Who would've thought?"
Her friends leave soon after. Once they're gone she flops onto her chaise, “so what was it that Dad and Diana wanted?”

Notes: This is in “Changbin’s POV” although written as Self-insert
This is going to be a miniseries, I guess. I’m not sure how many chapters I want to make. I’d like if you guys could vote on this:
Minho as BFF to lovers for the Triangle
Han as Friends to lovers for the Triangle
No Love Triangle at all
                                                        ///
Everyone but you wanted to be the popular guy.
Not because you were above things like wanting to fit on the wild battlefield that high school was or because you didn’t need people’s approval to feel like a whole person, and even less because you hated being under everyone’s eyes… No. You were petty enough to admit that you loved the attention. The reason why you weren’t like everybody else was that you were the popular guy that everyone wanted to be. That’s right… You were what every single one of those kids wanted to become and you didn’t need to do anything to have your way.
At least, that was what you believed exactly thirty seconds ago.
The silent pause following your invitation wasn’t expected, and neither was the way her judgmental eyes scanned you from head to toes. There was this foreign feeling of being embarrassed, and that sudden urge to shrink and hide from the crowd that you didn’t allow to show on the surface. You were too cool for this. So you settled for clearing your throat, leaning on her table in what you hoped to be a flirty way, and glanced at your friends’ table in search of some sort of silent moral support that you were so in need of right now.
You could say that you weren’t the most subtle human being in the world or else her eyes wouldn’t have snapped right to where you were looking at. As the bunch of overly stealthy people that you definitely were used to be with popularity clogging your better judgment, the four of your friends stared right into her eyes; the expression of a deer caught in headlights plastered over their face. If you had any hopes of not humiliating yourself to that strange girl in the corner ─ who you happened to have a big, fat crush on for at least one year now ─, they were immediately crushed by your own best friends.
     Very well.
At least, it couldn’t get any worse than this, right?
Then you learned the valuable lesson of not speaking too soon.
“You want to go out with me?” That wasn’t the kind of incredulous tone that was meant to hide one’s excitement… It was more like that bewildered contempt that one cannot hide at all.
She couldn’t even process the fact that you were bold enough to believe that the mere thought of dating you could ever have crossed her mind… And once more, the humiliation hit you like cold water coming directly from an angry, merciless waterfall. Was that how normal people felt in their daily lives? Jeez… It was so much better to be popular! How do those kids even handle that? Definitely not the life for you.
Your internal rambling had you missing the slow shift on her expression; rejection dissolving to give way to some kind of resigned interest: “How much?” She spoke up in curious confidence, and you must have been too lost on your thoughts because you had no idea of what she was talking about.
“Excuse me?” You blurted out ever so eloquently.
“How much is into this bet?” She asked as if it was the most reasonable thing in this world, and the lack of response had her scoffing, to further prove your point, “Really? You expect me to believe that the most popular guy in school would come all the way to my table, conveniently under his friends’ eyes, just to ask me out on a date with no second intention?” She raised her brows amusedly, chuckling at what seemed to be the best joke she had ever told anyone “Right” She huffed, crossing her arms and tilting her head to take a better look at you.
That was the moment of the truth.
You could either tell her that she misunderstood everything and explain how much you really liked her ─ which would put everything at risk because she clearly didn’t believe you could like someone like her ─ or you could play along with it and score a chance to win her heart on a date.
The answer seemed to be pretty obvious to you.
“Yeah, right” You laughed dismissively, pulling out the chair so you could sit down beside her. There was no sign of resistance in her face; moreover, there was a shimmering curiosity dancing in her expectant eyes, “You totally caught me…” You admitted grudgingly, shrugging to show her how much you didn’t care about it. Fun Fact: You actually did! And you would very much appreciate her to know that… Damn it! What the hell were you getting yourself into?! “So… Should we split it?” You suggested nonchalantly ─ just like the smooth son of a bitch you were.
“What about fifty-fifty?” She proposed shamelessly; face twisting in a funny expression that tried to say that she didn’t care about it either but giving it away that she did, “How much is in for me? Like… A hundred bucks or something?” She leaned back on her chair before shrugging, not willing to admit that she was interested in this.
“You’re good” You chuckled while nodding in agreement; mimicking her as you leaned back on your chair, “Sounds great, right? Getting a hundred bucks to date this hot stuff here?” You grinned as you gestured at yourself, getting nothing but an unimpressed look from her.
“Look, Changbin…” She began hesitantly “If we’re going to make this work, it might be better for you to let me do the talking, okay?” She smiled sarcastically, looking at you with a mix of… You weren’t even sure what. Was constipation considered a feeling? If so, she looked constipated by your existence, “I’m not gonna lie… I want the money, and as long as we don’t have to do anything stupid like kissing or having sex, I think I’m in” She simply agreed while looking into your eyes.
She had such pretty eyes… The most beautiful eyes you have ever seen… The type of eyes to hold so many emotions that you couldn’t help but wonder if those would ever be directed at you. Right now, you could see they were. However, the usually captivating trait wasn’t that heartwarming now… Not when there was nothing but pained resignation in them… Not when they made so damn obvious that she didn’t like you back… Not when they shift to sheer excitement to the sound of someone else’s voice.
“Hey” Was the single word that brought her to such a state of happiness; eyes twinkling and a genuine smile cracking on her face as she looked to the guy talking to her “What’s this?” He asked while gesturing to the both of you before squinting his eyes in suspicion “This table has always been our, shortie, fuck off” He scoffed; sitting down as if it didn’t even cross his mind that you could stand up against him.
     “Short—?!”
“Shut up, Minho” She rolled her eyes, even though you could see the amusement in them, “He’s here to ask me out on a date” She clarified nonchalantly; eyes attentive to his reaction.
“Of course he is” He snorted, shaking his head in disbelief while poking his food.
“I am” You stated seriously while boldly offering him The Look, “Is that a problem?” You arched your brow in a silent challenge.
“I don’t know…” He dropped his fork; eyes connecting to yours with such a murderer intention that for a second you considered just playing it off as a joke “Is that a problem?” He asked back, studying your face.
Thank Lord you were a proud Leo or else the “No, Sir” on the tip of your tongue would have slipped just like that from your mouth. Instead, you just returned his glare, choosing to be silent so you would not show him how much he scared the shit out of you. The silent battle was promptly cut off by the damsel in distress herself, a not-so-subtle kick under the table that had Minho wincing on his seat.
“No, that’s not a problem” She stated firmly enough to end the discussion “I’m going out with him” Even though you were aware of that, it still made your stomach flutter.
“Okay” He said bitterly; lips twitching slightly “So that’s not a problem” He forced a smile, picking his fork and scrambling his food mindlessly.
“Great!” You offered her a bright smile, too excited to hide your true feelings.
“Great” She stated monotonously “So… See you later?” She arched her brows as if to say that it was time for you to walk away.
“Of course” You agreed promptly “I can walk you home later… So… We can arrange the details” You suggested hopefully, and she seemed to embrace the idea.
“Sounds like a date” She smiled.
“Yeah” You chuckled; rubbing your arm before waving at her and heading to your friends’ table.
     Well… Getting a date: Checked.
Having your feelings reciprocicated: Hm… On progress?
First confession meeting any of your expectations: Hell no...

"Prowl?" Barricade knocked on the door frame of Prowl's office door. "Can I have a klik?"
"Of course," Prowl replied. He beckoned his foster brother to come in, the door sealed behind Barrcade, and locked. "What do you need?"
"A favour," Barricade said.
"Flatfoot is doing the schedule for the next quartex," Prowl said. "So we both know it will be a disaster."
"No, it's not about work," Barricade said. "Those dumbaft Nightstalker and Garboil set me up on a blind date even after I said I wasn't interested. I was hoping... could you go instead of me... scare him off so I don't hear anymore of that slag?"
"What mega-cycle?"
"Octav-tur," Barricade replied. "I'll owe you. Big."
"I will do it," Prowl replied. "I have the ornend off as it stands."
"Thank you, Prowl!"
"I assume you have plans with your paramour?" Prowl asked. Barricade flushed. Prowl was not supposed to know about Barricade's dalliance but as his forge had started to swell, he had not been able to hide it from his foster brother.
"Yeah, we're going away for the ornend," Barricade replied.
"Are you planning on telling him?" Prowl asked, gesturing to Barricade's forge, hidden by the conservative cut of his armour.
"Not yet," Barricade said. "I'm just... I'm still trying to get a feel about it, him. He's not the commitment type."
"He could surprise you," Prowl said.
"I'm not ready for if he doesn't."
"You know you are not alone," Prowl said. "You will always have me."
"Same, Prowl."
"Do you have the logistics?" Prowl asked.
"Just the location and the time," Barricade replied. "They wouldn't give me his designation. Said I'd run a background check and find some reason to skip the date."
"They probably picked someone that appeals to them," Prowl guessed and Barricade nodded, obviously thinking the same. "I will not appeal, I do not believe.
***
Jazz liked pranks. There was something satisfying about pulling a fast one on Ricochet's buddies. They were annoying his twin so they were annoying Jazz. The fact that they had refused to give Rico the designation made Jazz feel this was some sort of stupid joke. He did not know what the point was, or what the joke would be but he polished himself to a shine. At worse, Jazz would have a few drinks at one of his favourite bars, after chasing off tall dark and handsome as Ricochet's friends had called goon. Sorry, not goon, enforcer, at first glance. At best, the enforcer would put up a bit of a fight, and Jazz would have those drinks with a little entertainment on the side.
Tall? Sure, Jazz would allow that the Praxian was a helm taller than him. But dark? The mech Jazz's, or rather Rico's, receiver had link to was not dark at all. His paint was more white than black with the black serving more as an accent to play up the white. As the mech's transponder answered the link, Jazz walked towards his... Rico's date and as he did, the Praxian turned.
Tall, only compared to Jazz. Dark, not really. Handome?  Devastatingly so. Jazz was rarely at a lost for glyphs but the Praxian took his ventilations away.  Pale blue optics landed on Jazz and Jazz thought he saw a flush of approval before the mech's countenance schooled. What a shame that this pretty face had come lookng for Ricochet. At least, Jazz might have a little fun with him first.
"'M Ricochet," he lied, extending his servo. "Rico to my friends."
"Barricade." The designation might have suited the Praxian. He oozed priority, business through and through. Still, he was pretty and Jazz would not mind looking into those pale optics for a joor or two."
"Can I buy ya a drink?" Jazz asked.
"If you would like."
***
“Oh! Oh! Oh!”
Prowl tossed his helm back against the pillow as he arched his back. His peds were on Jazz’s shoulders and his knees bend to his chassis. Ricochet crouched over him, his spiking drilling deep into Prowl’s valve. It had been so long since he had interfaced, Ricochet’s thick spike had his gyros spinning. He clung to Ricochet’s elbows and moaned urgently as he bucked his hips to meet Ricochet’s every time. He felt the tip of Ricochet’s spike against his internal seal and Prowl’s servos left Ricochet’s elbows to clutch at his aft and to pull him in, urging him on.
Ricochet obeyed and plowed through the seal and Prowl wailed, overloading. Nothing, nothing made him cum as hard as having his gestation tank pierced. Charge crackled over his plating and his whole frame drew taunt. He squeezed Ricochet’s strong aft as his valve flexed intently over the Polihexian’s spike. A he urged Ricochet with his frame and his moans, the Polihexian drove Prowl’s overload on as he drove his spike into his fluttering valve over and over.
“Ric... Ricochet,”  Prowl whined as pleasured scorched his inner workings. Pleasure burned and burned. “Unh.”
“Frag,” Ricochet cursed as he buried his spike in Prowl’s core a final time and overloading with a grunt.
Prowl’s optics  reset as the superconductive fluid splattered against the walls of his gestation tank and he went blissfully limp. Ricochet sagged over him and they laid that way for a while. The Polihexian proved to be a pleasant weight. Sooner than Prowl was really happy with, Ricochet withdrew his discharged spike and collapsed beside him on the berth. He was still panting. Prowl was still panting.
“That was great, Cade,” Ricochet purred. He stroked his servo over Prowl’s bumper and kneaded the erogenous plating. “We should do it again sometime.”
“How about in two breams?” Prowl suggested. “In the shower. Two breams should be enough time for me to feel my legs again.”

KITTY’S BNHA HEADCANONS PART FOUR:
“How would Dabi/Shigaraki/Overhaul react to news of you being pregnant?”
TW: MENTIONS OF ABORTION! If this bothers you, please do not read!
(If you guys enjoy this one and want a male!y/n, I can write one for someone who is a godfather and their friend passes away and they have to take in the child. If that’s something everyone wants please send me a message/anon and let me know! I never want anyone to feel left out ❤️)
Dabi:
Dabi had told you months ago when you asked that he didn’t want kids. And he would always make sure you were on birth control so he can cum inside (since you both enjoy it, but he would wear condoms if asked) without the worry of producing a screaming crying...thing. So when you tell him, you’re terrified. He would stare at you for a moment, silent. ‘Did you forget to take your birth control?’ You would nod and he would go silent once again, running a hand over his face and just...thinking. The silence in between his answers would terrify you. ‘Would you consider an abortion? Or adoption?’
If you say yes to abortion, he would stand and hug you. He would kiss your cheek and say ‘I know that this is hard but we’re gonna figure it out, okay? I’ll make you an appointment. Go lay down, I’ll bring you some breakfast or something. Love you, y/n.’ And that would be that. He would make your appointment and pamper you the entire day/week before your appointment. He would do his best to show you how grateful he is that you’re going through with this. Dabi would go into the room with you and hold your hand the entire time, telling you jokes and teasing you. When it’s all done and you go home, be prepared for scary movies (of your choice), cuddles, and Dabi feeding you your favorite junk food. And expect him to start wearing condoms on top of you using your birth control. He might still cum in you on special occasions, but he would make sure to always be cautious from that point on.
If you said yes to adoption, he would be a little hesitant just because he’s seen his the childcare system is. And even though he doesn’t want this kid...he doesn’t want his kid to be adopted by someone who’s not gonna give him or her the best care. So he would talk to you about looking into a couple specifically and hand picking them. But...there would be a problem. Dabi would say no to EVERYONE. No one would be good enough. No one. By month six you’re getting worried. You’re running out of a window of time to hand pick someone and Dabi is still turning down everybody. On top of that, he’s started behaving...strangely. He kisses your tummy a lot, he starts speaking to it and singing to it. He comes up behind you while you cook and rubs your tummy. And the first time he feels the baby kick, the look on his face makes you wanna cry. And by month nine, Dabi says it. You’re looking at couples and you show him another very nice couple, but he just sighs and shakes his head. You get upset and you start to fight with him, but he stays silent and raises a hand, interrupting you. ‘No, y/n. There’s only one couple that’s gonna be able to handle this kid...’ he would look at you and smile softly, in a way that you rarely see, ‘Us. Let’s face it, y/n, with my genes and potentially my quirk? This kid is gonna be a complete handful. I’m willing to bet he burns down a city by nine. And if he gets my personality or my mouth...he’ll probably be arrested by twelve. We’re the only people who are gonna be able to handle that and you know it, alright? I’m tired of fighting it. I want this baby with you, y/n. I’m ready. Let’s raise this little bastard so I can show my father what a real dad is supposed to fucking be.’ Dabi would definitely be the calmest out of the three when you go into labor. He read up on how long labor takes, so he even does a good job of calming you down while you’re freaking out. He explains that you have time, he knows it hurts but to just focus on your breathing while he gets the bag and the car. He helps you into the passenger seat and speeds the whole way, still calm but just not giving a fuck about traffic laws. When you arrive at the hospital he helps you inside and calls for a nurse. If they don’t help you right away, he’ll make sure they get off their asses and help. Once in the room, Dabi would be a tad more nervous but he would hide it well. The only real sign is the way he rubs his hands together and takes deep breaths. He would hold your hand the whole time, never leaving your side. He would be incredibly encouraging. ‘Come on. Come on, baby girl! You’ve got this shit. You’re such a fuckin’ badass...no no, don’t apologize for squeezing my hand. Squeeze it as hard as you can, break the damn thing. Anything you need to do, alright? I’m right here.’ When all is said and done, and the doctor holds up your screaming newborn boy, Dabi grins so wide you think he’ll split a few staples. He cuts the chord and when the baby is placed on your chest, he can’t stop himself from playing with the baby’s fluffy white hair. ‘Are they supposed to have this much hair when they’re born? Damn.’ You just laugh, to exhausted to say much. As the nurse takes your baby fo clean him, you hiss suddenly and grab Dabi’s hand. Somethings wrong. You tel the doctor you feel another contraction and he feels your tummy, laughing with a dumbfound look. He explains that this is rare, but the boy most have been covering up a twin in the womb. You and Dabi both just about faint. One mini-Dabi is a handful on its own...a second one? Your house would be burned down the second they got their quirks. The whole time you’re pushing you just internally pray for a girl. But of course...’another boy...y/n...we’re fucked.’ You both share a laugh and he cuts the chord again. The nurse hands they first born boy to Dabi, and the second to you. They’re identical. White hair, one of Dabi’s blue eyes and one of your e/c eyes...absolutely stunning. They’d be heartbreakers alright. But god help whoever breaks THEIR hearts...
Shigaraki:
You and Shigaraki never would have discussed kids. But it would be pretty apparent from the fact that he himself is essentially a big man-child that he didn’t want them. What would he even do with a kid? He barely took care of himself. You’re the one who gets him out of bed in the morning, makes him practice basic hygiene, makes him eat three meals a day that DON’T consist of just straight up junk, and gets him into bed before four AM. And some of those you still had to fight him on every single day. So a child? Out of the question...until you pee on that stupid damn stick and dread fills your heart. You walk into the bedroom, Shigaraki playing games on his PC. You would sit on the bed and just cry, silently as to not alert him while he plays his game. But when Shiggy plays, he always checks on you at some point no matter what. And after one of his rounds, when he sees you sobbing, he would throw his headset off and be at your side right away. ‘Player two? Baby? What is it, what’s wrong? Tell me. Did someone hurt you? Who fucking did it? I’ll kill them!’ You would sniffle and shake your head, just handing him the test with a shaking hand. He would take it and stare at it, brows furrowed. ‘No. It’s wrong. You take birth control, I wear condoms, this can’t be right’ You would say that you already took three tests, all with the same result. And then you had to explain to him that sometimes, even with contraception, mistakes happen. There was a week where you missed your dose, so Shigaraki thought he was being smart by putting two condoms on at once. But unfortunately, when you looked into it you realized that doing that causes the condoms to rub together and become weak before snapping. Neither of you had even noticed, you must have both been exhausted. When you finish explaining, Shigaraki stands up and throws the test down. He would storm out of the room and slam the door, leaving you alone. You cry your eyes out for hours, passing out sometime in the afternoon. You’re shaken awake by him sometime after dark. ‘y/n...I spoke to Father and he said we have some options. I also spoke to Kurogiri sho gave me advice...you could get an abortion, or Father offered to take the child and raise it as his own. But...Kurogiri made a fair point’ he would sigh, ‘I will need an heir soon enough. And this experience could...help me...mature. Maybe this could be a way to level up my character. Gain some new skill points.’
Shigaraki and Father wouldn’t allow you to have the abortion. After all, the child would be a powerful one most likely. If you decide not to keep it, you would carry the child for nine months and once he or she is born, Father would show up and take the baby before you even had a chance to hold him/her. It would be extremely traumatic for you, and you would worry for the baby everyday even if you didn’t say it outloud. You knew how he had raised Tomura, saw the damage that had been done. It pained you to know that your child would be suffering the same fate. Shigaraki was unbothered but comforted you none the less, trying to understand even though he truly didn’t. You would do everything in your power to never have another accidental pregnancy. You would rather die than ever hand another child to the man Tomura calls a father, but you know to be nothing more than a child abuser.
If you decided to keep the baby and Tomura agreed, it would be a big change for him. As the months go by and you the baby starts growing, you’d be able to do less and less of the things that you normally did for Shigaraki. He didn’t like it. He’d hear you singing to your bump and find himself jealous that you aren’t singing to him. Essentially he would be jealous because if there’s a new baby, then he won’t be the baby anymore. You won’t be able to take care of his every need, and he finally realizes that he truly is going to have to start acting like an adult. By month nine he would have gotten the hang of caring for himself, but still resents the baby. When you go into labor it shocks him at how much pain you’re in. Sure he’d heard labor was bad, but you were screaming like you were being torn apart. He shoves the doctor aside and peeks between your legs once when they baby is partially out. Shigaraki passes out cold. By the time he comes to, the baby is already here. Just as they’re cleaning him off, he gets to cut the chord and they lay the baby on your chest. Shigaraki doesn’t feel hate for the squealing infant anymore. Just...protectiveness. Adoration. A desire to keep them safe. He strokes the baby’s soft h/c hair, careful of his quirk, and looks into their red eyes that match his own. Maybe being an adult sucked, but you and this little one could make it a bit easier.
Overhaul:
He would definitely want a child at some point. Chisaki would need an heir after all, someone to lead the Hassaikai when he eventually steps down. So once you’re past a certain point and have been dating for a good amount of time (when he knows he’s got you and it’s too late for you to back out or leave) he would have no problem letting you know what’s expected of you. He would want at least one child, but he would want it when HE is ready, not you. Any sooner or any accidental pregnancies and he would use his quirk on you to correct the small imperfection in his usually pure significant other.
Once he’s deemed it’s time, he would put every effort into making sure you two conceived. He would track your cycle, feed you whatever new and safe fertility drugs were on the market, keep you eating healthy and eating things that can help bring on pregnancy. Not a single opportunity, even down to the smallest detail, would be missed. When you share the good news and give him the baggie containing the positive test, he would be be ecstatic. He would use the medical equipment to give you a proper urine test just to be sure, and from that day on you had better prepare to be micromanaged every single second. Everything you eat would have to be nutritious for the baby and even if you didn’t enjoy eating it, he would make you eat it one way or another. ‘Think of our baby, darling. He’s going to need all of the nutrients he can get, we can’t risk a miscarriage. Okay? You understand...’ He would replace your usual reading material with books on motherhood and how to be a proper mother and raise a child with good manners. You’d have a checkup weekly, and Kai would have you keep a daily journal talking about how you were feeling and your experience. This would not be a private journal, he would come into your room every day and you’d lay together and read it to him while he rubbed your small bump. Kai would be a lot more affectionate during this time, to your surprise and his. It couldn’t be helped, he decided. He just enjoyed the thought of you carrying his child and wanted his hands on you at all times. Normally when he’s working in his office, you know not to intrude, but now Kai would personally request you to come to his office and sit in his lap while you read and he works. The pregnancy would truly work wonders for your relationship if it wasn’t already going well. When he’s finally able to truly see the baby on the ultrasounds, see their fingers and toes and shape of their head, you can see an excitement in his eyes that you’ve never seen. When the day comes for the gender reveal, you’re scared. You know he wants a boy and you can’t deny that you’re terrified he’ll try to use his quirk to ‘fix’ your child. So when he does the ultrasound and finds a girl, you tear up right away. But to your surprise, his excitement never dims. He still had a bright smile on his face. Kai simply cleans you off and kisses your head. ‘Next time, dearest. Next time we’ll have an heir. We’ll try as often as we have to, alright?’ Part of you prays that you have a boy next time, because as much as you were enjoying seeing this side of Kai, you weren’t enjoying the problems of pregnancy and you know the pain of childbirth would not be something you’d want to rush into again. The day you go into labor, you finally see a side of Kai you truly never thought you would...he’s nervous. He hides it well, but you know him enough to see that he is truly nervous. He has the room set up and he has a few of his men in the room to assist with the birth. The thing that sucks is that he won’t allow you an epidural. He said that a natural birth is the healthiest option for his daughter, and you know that arguing won’t change anything. So the process is long and painful, but he makes it better. He’s by your side every moment, holding your hand and kissing your sweaty forehead through his medical mask. Finally you both hear a cry and there she is...your daughter. She’s exactly like Kai in every way, with dark auburn hair and golden eyes. He cuts the chord and cleans her himself, wrapping her in a baby blanket and bringing her to you. You’re both so content, just holding her and looking down at her. She would likely be the first of many, and you didn’t even mind. Not when you saw that look on your husband’s face. ‘She’s perfect in every way...completely pure. You did so well, y/n...I’m so proud of you.’
Hi! I hope you guys like this one, it took me quite a bit to write! I was going to write what they would be like as fathers but I think I’ll save that for a different post! If you guys like this one and want to see me write that one, just let me know! If the post gets to 15-20 notes I’ll definitely write it but I might end up doing it just for fun even if this isn’t well received. I also considered writing one for if the birth goes wrong? I have so many ideas but I don’t know if anyone is interested or not. *sigh* Thank you all for reading! :3
PS: sorry for the weird spacing, I’m on mobile and my phone never wants to work with me -.-

Closer to Fine
A PRIDE fic babyyyyyyy.
Sylvaina meet-cute at a college campus Pride parade because I felt like writing a light-hearted gay thing full of lots of gay people.
4365 Words
Read it on Ao3!
“Are you sure?”
Jaina kept asking the question in the first place because she wasn’t. Not yet. She wasn’t certain when she would be.
“Yes,” Anduin sighed yet again. He was spread across her couch, taking up more space than it seemed he possibly could. “I’m sure. You’ll have a great time. Otherwise, why would I have bought you this shirt that you look so cute in?”
Said shirt was already on, already confirmed to fit--a cute tie dye tank top with the colors of the bi flag. Anduin had even helped her pick out a pair of jean shorts to match. Jaina stood before him, just on the other side of the coffee table, having received his enthusiastic approval of her outfit, but unsure whether or not she wanted to be seen in it.
Jaina had only just become comfortable with the idea of people knowing that she was bi. Going to the campus Pride parade and wearing a shirt about it? Well, she wasn’t sure she was that comfortable yet.
Anduin sported a matching tank in rainbow, and wasn’t taking no for an answer. “Besides,” he went on, putting up sandaled feet on what little space on the coffee table wasn’t taken up by her books and papers. “Everyone is going to be there. I got shirts for Shaw and Chromie too.”
“I just...I don’t want to bring you all down. Everyone’s just going to look at me and think I’m trying to get attention or something. ‘Oh there goes Jaina, she’s only dated guys, but thinks she deserves to be here too.’”
Her queer friends had, of course, been infinitely supportive of her since she’d told them she was just as interested in women as she was men. But Jaina was not worried about them. She was never worried about them. She was worried about the same type of people that would judge her for her terrible taste in ex boyfriends, and from her experience, said people outnumbered the amount of supportive queer friends she had by quite a lot.
“Fuck that,” Anduin spat. “If anything even remotely like that happens, I’ll be the first to tell whoever says anything that stupid to shut the hell up. Besides, you’re not going to find a better concentration of girls who might be into you than you will there. And then you’ll have nothing else to worry about, and maybe get a girlfriend out of it.”
“You know I don’t have time to date right now,” Jaina told him.
She didn’t, really. Not between conditioning for swim season, her lifeguarding job, summer classes she picked up for more credit hours she didn’t really need, and all of her volunteer work. She barely had time to toss something into the microwave to warm up for dinner before collapsing into bed most evenings. But if she played her cards right and kept it up, she’d be able to spend her second semester next year interning. And the experience was invaluable for someone in her--
“You could make time, if you wanted to,” Anduin told her, rousing her from her usual spiral of planning. “And I know you’re not working this afternoon, so don’t try it. I know because I made Genn switch shifts with you.”
“You had our grouchy and very straight friend take my normal shift at the pool on this exact day specifically so I would be free for you to guilt me into going to Pride with you?” Jaina asked him.
Anduin was already grinning as he answered, “Of course. And also because you need to get out and do something fun for once. Pride is fun. Good clean gay fun. Come be gay with me Jaina.”
“But I’m bi,” she offered as one last weak protest, but at the same time bent to pile her notes into a stack to be gone through later.
“It’s June. Everyone is gay for a month,” Anduin informed her. “So, are you coming with me or not?”
Jaina sighed. “Let me just...let me find some shoes.”
“Wear the Birkenstocks,” Anduin suggested.
“I already don’t feel gay enough and you starting on these jokes I don’t fully get doesn’t help,” she reminded him.
“Sorry!”
---
“No,” was Sylvanas’ answer. I had been the first time, the second time, and this third time.
“Fine, I’m telling Lor’themar and Rommath that you’re too full of internalized homophobia today to support them,” Valeera offered, arms crossed, but making no move to leave.
“You’re sure you won’t come see our friends make fools of themselves?” Liadrin asked next to her, somehow more imposing even as she kept her stance loose and friendly.
They were gathered in their shared galley kitchen, having cornered Sylvanas at the end of it. Well, technically she only shared it with Liadrin. Valeera’s name wasn’t on the lease, and she didn’t consider herself Liadrin’s girlfriend, but still somehow ended up sleeping there most nights. Sylvanas wasn’t about to complain, but Lor’themar whined that the lesbian quotient of their shared aparment was already far too high, and adding another to the already unbalanced number was far too much for him to bear.
Valeera had shut him up by saying she didn’t live here and wasn’t Liadrin’s girlfriend and identified as pansexual, thank you.
“What float are they even on? If you say leather, then I’m definitely not coming,” Sylvanas informed them.
She would have much rather spent her Saturday sleeping late. The fact that she was still in her pajamas, and had been ambushed just trying to get a bottle of water out of the fridge to take back to her room should have been evidence enough. But clearly, this was a planned attack. Clearly, Lor’themar had somehow paid off Liadrin and Valeera to lay in wait under the guise of making out on the couch, only to pounce when Sylvanas showed her face.
Her face had looked better. She still had runny makeup on her cheeks from last night’s gig. She’d gotten home so late that she couldn’t be bothered to shower to get it off. Her pillows were smudged with black, but it would hardly be the first time, or the last, that she'd let that happen.
“Correction,” Liadrin offered in her deep voice. “If I say leather, I think you’d definitely come just so you could take pictures and harass Lor’themar with them until the end of time.”
There were worse ideas, that’s for certain.
“It’s the leather float, isn’t it?” Sylvanas pressed.
“You know it is,” Valeera told her with a smirk. “So are you coming?”
“Ugh,” Sylvanas sighed. She took a deep drink from the water bottle in her hand to delay and give herself a few more moments to think. That still didn’t result in a decision, though. “I’m gross. I need to shower and do laundry and shit.”
“You have time to shower,” Liadrin informed her. “And even to prim, if you wanted to. As for the wardrobe, I might have something.”
Her hands had been clasped behind her back this whole time. She brought the right one forward, revealing a folded v-neck t-shirt. It was tie-dyed in various shades of pink, orange, and white.
“When was the last time you saw me wearing pink?” Sylvanas asked her incredulously. She gestured to her body as it currently was, bedecked in a faded black tee with two sizes too big for her--the white lettering of the metal band it was meant to promote long having begun to crack and peel away--and a pair of grey and purple flannel pajama pants.
“It’s Pride,” Liadrin said. “And unless something has changed, I recall that you’re a lesbian. Sorry, but you’d have to be asexual to match your usual aesthetic, and I’ve seen you bring home too many girls to qualify for that.”
“How do you know we’re not just cuddling and watching movies?” Sylvanas teased.
“Our rooms share a wall, lest you forget,” Liadrin told her.
“Lest I forget,” Sylvanas said with a knowing glance in Valeera’s direction. Her not-relationship with Liadrin had been quite the nightly reminder of just how thin that wall was. Sylvanas had invested in earplugs for the first time in her life because of it.
Valeera just smirked and shrugged. “Get in the shower. Go see your roommate be a half-naked idiot and give me an excuse to have socially acceptable PDA with your other roommate.”
“Disgusting,” Sylvanas snorted. She took the shirt from Liadrin anyway, then asked her, “Am I allowed to at least wear black jeans with this?”
“It’s your funeral,” Liadrin offered with a shrug. “It’s hot as hell out there today. You’re not gonna find a girl to take home if you’re just standing there sweating.”
She was certainly dressed for it, her muscled arms on display from the white tank top she wore over a pair of men’s cargo shorts. Her idea of her own representation was much more subtle than what she offered Sylvanas, coming only in the form of a few pins that she’d fastened to the tank. Valeera, in contrast, was a picture of colorful vomit, cascading in the pink, blue, and yellow of her orientation in every possible combination across her clothing and accessories.
“I don’t want to take a girl home,” Sylvanas said. “I want to sleep and for you people to all be out of my apartment while I do just that.”
“And I want you to get out of this apartment during the day sometimes,” Liadrin told her, putting on her best mom voice. It was easy enough for her, being the designated mom friend of their group. If that mom friend was also a youth soccer coach in all the literal and metaphorical ways one could imagine. “You could use some sun. Look how pale you are.”
“Ugh,” was Sylvanas’ answer to that, but she still brushed past them, obnoxious tie-dyed shirt in hand, and made her way to the bathroom she and Liadrin shared.
“Don’t primp too long!” Liadrin called after her. “We gotta leave in an hour if we’re going to make it.”
And hour? That would barely be enough time to dry and straighten her hair properly. Why was she doing this again?
Oh right, to torture Lor’themar. A day in the heat would be worth that, maybe.
And maybe it would be good for her to go somewhere that wasn’t just another gig, or the classes she dragged herself to during the regular school year. Only one more year now, and she’d have to figure out what she was going to do with that Biology degree.
But not yet. Not quite yet.
---
Jaina’s first Pride parade was more than she imagined it to be in every way. More in that there were so many people here, so many more than she thought would be even remotely interested in supporting such a thing. Yet there was the shy tauren man from her Organic Chem class, with two different guys, who might have both been his boyfriends for all they were touching one another. There was the night elf girl she would often see eating alone in the student union cafeteria, smiling and surrounded by friends as she proudly waved a large Asexual flag.
More in that it was loud and colorful and just so celebratory. More in that no one seemed to have anything bad to say about her and her shirt. More in that there were so many more people wearing her same combination of colors. Men and women alike with all manner of partners, or even just with friends, were all decked proudly in pink, blue, and purple. And no one was bothering them.
And Jaina was having a great time.
“When does the parade start?” she asked Anduin as he came back with an armload of water bottles for the group.
Chromie jumped up to snatch hers from his arms first, with the trans flag she wore as an oversized cape trailing behind her. “Any minute now,” she said as she landed. “And someone better be putting me on their shoulders so I can see it!”
“If I can get rid of this water, then I’ll be your first volunteer,” Anduin offered.
Jaina took that as her cue to pass some of the bottles out. She tossed them down the line to their friends as they lined the curb of Main Street.
Shaw and his new boyfriend, whom she’d just met for the first time. She thought she heard his name was Flynn, but wasn’t sure with the noise of the crowd. Wrathion, of course, she knew as Anduin’s “guy I’m sort of seeing”. One day, he’d graduate to the title of actual boyfriend, eventually. Maybe when they were a bit more mature. Chromie had brought along someone none of them knew, a cousin of hers she called “Noz”, short for Nozdorumu apparently, who sported a non-binary pin on their t-shirt and looked even more nervous than Jaina to be there. But even they were smiling now as she passed them the last bottle of water.
Hands now free, Anduin reached down to pick up Chromie and set her on his shoulders. “Can you see anything from up there?” he asked.
The gnome shaded her eyes and peered down the street. “I think they’re moving now!” she reported.
If Jaina thought the crowd was invigorating, then she was hardly prepared for the floats. Even a low budget college parade like this was filled with spectacle. Drag queens graced the first float, tossing out rainbow mardi gras beads to the screaming crowd as they danced. Jaina was pretty sure she went to high school with one of them, but it was hard to tell when he was caked with makeup and wearing five inch heels. But he looked amazing. He looked like he was having the time of his life.
Anduin and Chromie caught three of the necklaces with him using the gnome as an extension to play a game of ring toss, except they were getting the rings tossed at them, and not the other way around. Chromie cackled the whole time, loving every second of it.
Come to think of it, she was also much happier now that Jaina remembered her ever being. Much happier than when they met in their freshman year, when she still went by Chronormu.
After that, each float just got more and more ostentatious, somehow, than even the drag queens had been. Gay guys with a big sequeined rainbow on the flatbed of a truck. Lesbians rocking out in cutoff denim vests on a rock and roll themed float. And then of course, a float Jaina hadn’t expected, for all her hesitancy. Men and women in blue and purple and pink, blowing kisses to the crowd and showering them in glitter from a bi pride float.
“See?” Anduin shouted at her as he and Chromie got a fist full of glitter dumped on them. “You’re plenty gay enough, Jaina! You belong here as much as we do!”
She grinned up at him as she too got a glitter shower, along with Shaw, Flynn, and Noz as they cheered on next to her. “I guess I am!”
---
“Work it, big boy!” Sylvanas shouted from her place on the curb, making sure to every once of the vocal strength that singing in a metal band for the last three years had given her, just so Lor’themar could hear her.
It was more than enough to get him to turn to face her. He was confused at first, and seemed to mouth something like, “What are you doing out here?” at her before he grinned, then thrust black leather codpiece in her direction.
Only for Sylvanas to give him a thumbs up and take a picture with her phone.
That only made Lor’themar go snatch Rommath from the other end of the float so he could pose with his boyfriend.
“Keep it PG!” Liadrin reminded them as she watched him bend Rommath over. “Or we’ll get banned from doing this again!”
Lor’themar responded by flipping her off, all while Sylvanas snapped more pictures of them and laughed.
“Okay, that was kind of worth me sweating my ass off and watching you two make out for the last hour,” Sylvanas told Liadrin and Valeera as the float began to drift out of view.
“More than seeing Anya on the lesbian float?” Liadrin asked.
“Mmm, maybe equal, but only because it was a surprise,” Sylvanas agreed, flipping through her pictures to remind herself of the look on Anya’s face when her band mate caught her. “And because she just looks utterly stunning in denim.”
“You’re not going to let her live that down, are you?” Valeera asked. She was even more of a mess than when they’d first gotten here, bedecked in so much glitter and at least one of every sort of beads that were being thrown.
“Absolutely not,” Sylvanas said. “Just as she’ll never let me live down this pink shirt.”
“You look good in bright colors,” Liadrin noted. “Maybe you should consider wearing something that isn’t black or black-adjacent once in a while.”
“Okay mom,” Sylvanas spat back at that. “What are we doing after this?”
“Oh look at you, Ms. Social Butterfly now,” Valeera pointed out, twirling one of her strings of rainbow beads between her fingers. “Liadrin and I were gonna go to my friend’s after party. Anduin Wrynn, if you know him. You’re of course welcomed to tag along, and tell the boys to join us, but maybe not in their leather.”
“Afraid that they’d be the most noticeable thing in the room instead of you?” Sylvanas questioned.
Valeera answered that with a little glare, but then turned her attention to the next float.
Sylvanas didn’t even have a chance to follow her gaze before she heard a familiar scream. “Hey! Hey guys! That’s my lesbian sister! Sylvanas! Over here!”
Sure enough, little freshmen Vereesa was there, jumping up and down on the Allies float, pointing at her.
“You look pretty in pink!” Vereesa screamed and waved furiously at her.
“See?” Liadrin said. “Your sister agrees with me.”
“Please don’t tell me you secretly flew the other one in to ride the alumni float,” Sylvanas groaned as she begrudgingly waved at her little sister.
“I thought about it,” Liadrin confessed. “I even called her to suggest it, but then got a huge lecture about how Pride is just about corporate greed now and that she was too busy anyway. Apparently Alleria is very busy being a grown up.”
“Imagine,” Sylvanas sighed.
“What, her grown up? I know. It’s scary,” Liadrin said.
It was. So scary. So close for Sylvanas now too. Her mother expected so much of her children. Alleria had a rough enough road to her graduation the year before, having taken five years to get there in the first place. Lireesa had threatened to have her sign up for the army more than once.
And Sylvanas still had no idea what she wanted to do when she graduated. She was surely going to get the military threat soon enough, if she didn’t come up with some ideas.
But it was Pride. She was wearing obnoxious pink and pretty girls were smiling at her and covering her in glitter. She didn’t want to think about that.
Not now. Not yet.
So she smiled for Vereesa, who still had a few more years to admit she probably didn’t belong on that Allies float. Maybe next year she’d ride that Bi float, if Sylvanas’ suspicions were right.
---
“I think there’s only a few more floats,” Chromie reported from her new position on Noz’s shoulders. They’d offered to give Anduin a break about half-way through the parade.
“That’s probably for the best,” Shaw noted. “I think my mustache is more glitter than moustache at this point.” He tried brushing some of said glitter out of it, but just ended up fanning more into his boyfriend’s very similar moustache.
“That’s what you get for having a moustache in the first place,” Anduin told him. “Oh Jaina, I don’t think I told you before we got here. I’m having a party after the parade at my place. You should totally come.”
Jaina wanted to say no to that immediately, but she also didn’t. She knew Anduin was expecting her to. She could see him thinking up excuses and reasons for her already, his blue eyes wide and earnest in the summer sun.
So instead she said, “Sure. Maybe not all night, but for a little bit--”
“Yes!” Anduin cheered as he hung an arm over Wrathion’s shoulders. “Good! Have more good gay fun with me, Jaina. All of us, actually, if you guys are still coming.”
The group all answered in the positive, from a few quiet nods to a roaring “Hell yeah!” from Chromie.
The last few floats made their way by all too quickly. Even the finale float, a fantastic combination of people from every orientation dancing along to a techno version of “All You Need Is Love” was gone all too fast.
Jaina knew for sure that this wouldn’t be her last Pride parade. She was sweaty, covered and in glitter, and hoarse from all the screaming, but hadn’t had fun like this in a long, long time.
So yeah, she could go to a party. She could skip studying for a night. It wouldn’t kill her, would it?
“Okay, let’s get out of here before it gets too crazy. I have margaritas to mix,” Anduin offered as he motioned for them to fill into the street behind the last float and make their way back to where he’d parked.
So many colors mingled as the crowd spilled into the street from either side. Jaina was still riding the high of it all, grinning at everyone. All these people, big and small, every race she could imagine--all of them were here to be as gay as they could be, or to support those who were. It was such a wholesome and powerful feeling, being a part of something so big, when she usually felt so alone in her longings.
Maybe Anduin was right. She really did want to find herself a girlfriend. If she could make time to sneak away for a Pride parade, she could make time for a girl.
“Hey!” Andruin called as he waved over the crowd. “Valeera! Hey! Do you need a ride?”
“Andy!” a voice shrieked as an elf bedazzled with more plastic jewelry and glitter than anyone else in the crowd ran up and hugged Anduin. “I was wondering if I’d see you here,” she said.
Jaina had never seen her before, but knew of her. Anduin had a lot of friends, more so than he could usually overlap. It would be nice to meet more of them. Jaina was sure she would tonight.
“I’m kind of hard to miss, but you’re even harder to right now. Maybe I shouldn’t give you a ride. You’re going to get glitter all over my car,” Anduin told her as he lifted her up all the same.
Valeera laughed as he set her back down on the pavement. “Liadrin drove us, so don’t worry about your snazzy interior.”
“Us, eh? Who else did you drag with you?” Anduin asked.
Valeera pointed behind her. A red-headed elven woman appeared to scoop her up in her muscular arms, waving to Anduin as she did. The crowd parted before another elf followed after them.
“That’s Sylvanas, Liadrin’s roommate. I hope you don’t mind, we sort of invited her to your party,” Valeera explained.
“The more the merrier!” Anduin told her with a nod and waved back toward the crowd.
Sylvanas turned out to perhaps be the most beautiful elf Jaina had ever seen, with her long platinum blonde hair and soft grey eyes. She wore a tie-dyed shirt as well, which seemed to be all the rage for this year’s Pride, but in the colors of the lesbian flag. This didn’t seem to go with her black skinny jeans and boots, but she was smiling all the same.
And fuck, that smile. That lopsided, toothy smile. How was she so gorgeous, all sweat-slicked and covered in glitter?
Jaina instantly felt self-concious of her own messy state, at least, until she realized that Sylvanas was looking at her. Staring at her, even. Just like she’d been staring at her.
“Uh...hi,” Jaina offered, with a sheer amount of bravery that she could only explain as coming from the rush of this very gay day she was having.
“Oh, um, hey,” Sylvanas replied with a little wave. “What’s up?”
She winced as soon as the words came out of her mouth.
But then Jaina laughed, and she laughed with her. And Jaina got to see that smile again.
She wanted to see it a whole lot more.
“Are you coming to the party?” Sylvanas asked her.
“Yes. I’m...yeah. My name’s Jaina,” she offered. She almost stuck her hand out to be shaken, but decided that would be way too cringey, even for her.
But Sylvanas didn’t seem to mind. “Cool...yeah...that’s really cool. Your name, I mean. And that you’re going to the party.”
“This is the gayest thing I’ve ever seen,” Anduin commented. “And I just watched a fucking Pride parade. You’re riding with us, Ms. Sylvanas. In the back seat, next to Jaina. I insist.”
“I, uh, okay,” Sylvanas said.
Jaina never really thought to describe herself as a bold person. Confident? Sure. Compentetant? Definitely. But, well, usually in other areas. Books and lap lanes. Tests and presenting group projects.
But with women? Never. She’d only just come to terms with how she felt about them in this last year or so.
But today, she could be all of those things. Today, she was just as gay as everyone else here, and just as ready to love as freely as they did.
So she held out her hand for Sylvanas to hold as they walked to the car.
And Sylvanas gave her another one of those smiles as she took it.

GREY'S ANATOMY PREFERENCE: THE MOMENT THEY REALIZE THEY ARE IN LOVE WITH YOU
A/N: I've been rewatching grey's and fell in love with the characters all over again. I'm thinking about doing a female edition to this so let me know what you guys think 💖
Tumblr media
Derek Shepherd → he would realize he loved you when he found you on an on call room, crying because of a patient’s diagnosis. You had gotten too close to that case, too involved even though he had warned you not to. To see you in such pain over someone else’s future, your compassion and the amount of care you showed to all of your patients, it made him see just how much he himself cared about you. How much he wanted to be the one by your side to comfort you when you needed.
“It’s so unfair, Derek. So unfair” you tried to contain your sobs, as he sat by your side at the floor, leaning his back against the bed. He had locked the door behind him, knowing you wouldn’t want anyone to see you like that. “She’s had cancer four times. Her children won’t come to visit. Her husband died years ago. She’s going to die all alone and there’s nothing I can do about it”
“Come here” he passed one of his arms around your shoulders and pulled you close, until you laid your head on his shoulder and he could hug you tightly. “She’s not going to be alone. You and I, we’ll be here for her” he kissed the top of your head, coming to terms with his feelings at last. “You and I” he mumbled, sighting.
Tumblr media
Mark Sloan → he would realize he loved you when after a long shift, he saw you drinking at Joe’s with your closest friends. From across the bar he heard you laugh and tell jokes, having real fun. That with the talent you showed at the hospital everyday would make him see that you were an amazing person, someone he would really like to be together with. Someone he could love deeply.
“Is this seat taken?” he asked while approaching the table you were on, having just gotten the courage to do so, as your friends had just left together. He couldn’t help but find beautiful the surprised look on your face.
You pointed to the said seat with your right hand, that held the drink. “What do I owe the pleasure, Doctor Sloan?” the small smile on your lips got to him.
“I thought you could use some company” he shrugged, sitting down and asking two more drinks to be delivered. His eyes were intensely focused on yours. “And please, call me Mark”
Tumblr media
Alex Karev → he would figure out his feelings for you because of a fight you two have. You were colleagues working on the same case and the fight would happen at the hospital, arguing in the corridors loudly enough for the nurses and other doctors around to have to come near and calm you both down. To see your determination, your fierceness in fighting him for what you thought was right, made him see how much of a strong person you were and it awakened things in him.
“You’re such a child! Did you know that, Alex Karev?” you shout at him, your fierce look locked in his eyes as you did so.
“And you're stupid, seems like we’re even” he had a smile on his lips and his hands on his waist, and the tone on his voice made your roll your eyes and turn around to leave. You could feel the eyes of all the members of the staff on you both. “So you’re walking away now? That’s mature” he spoke up.
“When you decide to see reason, page me” you said, without turning around. Your confidence made him actually laugh.
Tumblr media
Jackson Avery → he would realize he was in love with you when you stood up to him during a patient’s case, where he was making a mistake on purpose in a diagnosis, to test the interns and no one else in your class had the nerve to tell him so. You faced him in front of everyone else, with politeness and yet, confidence. He was so admired and proud of your attitude, that he later went to compliment you personally in private.
“It was a good thing, what you did back there” he said with a little smile on his lips, his hands inside the pockets of his jacket, since he had ended his shift and was about to leave. “None of the others dared to say anything, but you did”
“I had to” you looked down at your feet, embarrassed for receiving such a compliment from an attending. “The others wouldn’t say anything, so I couldn’t let the patient at risk just because you’re my boss”
“And that is why you’re scrubbing in with me tomorrow” he said, the smile on his lips getting bigger because of your words.
“Really? Thank you, doctor Avery!” you smiled brightly at him, finally looking him in the eye, letting your embarrassment aside.
“Perhaps after the surgery, I could take you to dinner” the plastic surgeon continued, and your eyes widened at that. Jackson Avery couldn’t just have asked you out. He chuckled by your expression, licking his lips for a brief moment. “I’ll see you tomorrow, (Y/N)” he turned around, and then walked away.
Tumblr media
Owen Hunt → he would realize he had feelings for you that went beyond friendship when he saw you speaking up to a patient that had been disrespecting you. He would notice your educated arguing, the patience and your responsibility and that would make him respect you even more. Afterwards, he would see how you had been hurt by the patients words though, and the pain it caused him would make him notice just how much and strongly he really liked you.
“It was quite rough in there” he got close to you in the corridor, leaning his back against the wall as yourself did. “You did good, in defending yourself”
“I had to” you sighted, arms crossed over your chest. “I’m doing my job just like everyone else here, I don’t deserve to be treated like that when all I’m doing is trying to help”
“Of course you didn’t deserve that. Some people they’re just…” Owen sighted, shrugging slightly.
“Stupid” you completed.
He chuckled, putting a hand on your shoulder and squeezing it lightly. “Yes, stupid. Don’t let them get to you”
Tumblr media
Atticus Lincoln → he would realize how he felt about you as you two were scrubbing into a long surgery together, washing your hands side by side and you would admit to be going through a rough time in your personal life, outside the hospital. The fact that you trusted him enough to tell him that, made him happy and proud of himself. He loved the idea of being close to you, of making you feel good and that’s what he intended to do.
“If you want, we could do something together tonight” he suggested, looking at you with warmth in his bright eyes. “Maybe watch a game, order some food or grab some drinks if you prefer”
You smiled at him, continuing to wash your hands. “I would love that, Link. Any of those things would be really great”
“Great” he replied, averting his eyes from yours as he could feel his cheeks burning a little. The fact that you would love those things with him made his day. “That’s really great”
As you two walked into the OR, all he wanted was the end of that shift so that he could spend time with you.
Tumblr media
Andrew Deluca → he would notice he had feelings for you when he has a nervous breakdown after a 48 hour shift, unstoppably trying to find a diagnosis for his patient, but having no success. You were the one who helped him, who made him eat and stood by him when others judged him for not being himself. You understood that he wanted to help, to be useful. And that meant the world to him.
“I-I have to find something, anything. I have to figure out what’s happening, (Y/N)” he stumbled on his words, hands on his hair as he took deep breaths, eyes running around the room as he felt like he was going to suffocate.
“Andrew, look at me” you got his hands in yours and made him look deeply into your eyes, smiling to try to give him some comfort. You hated to see him like that, so nervous. “We’re going to figure out what’s wrong. I'll help you. I’m here for you”
“Thank you, thank you” he passed his arms around you and hugged you tightly. You could feel his breath on your neck as you tightly hugged him back. He silently promised himself that after that craziness ended, he would tell you how he felt.
Tumblr media
Nathan Riggs → he would realize he had feelings for you when he would overhear you saying to Jackson that you felt slightly jealous of Meredith because of him. Because he had been asking her out. It shocked him, to know you felt that way. He had always thought you considered him like nothing more than a friend. But to know that you in fact wanted to go out with him, to know that you had interest, it changed everything.
“I overheard you speaking with Jackson” he said, when you entered the on call room he had just paged you to. Your eyes widened and you wanted to run away and he continued to speak. “You said you were jealous of Meredith”
“You weren’t supposed to hear that” you sighted heavily, embarrassment filling your whole being.
“I’m glad I did, though” he walked towards you, standing now just a few steps away. His proximity made a chill run through your spine. “Do you want to go out with me, (Y/N)?”
You smiled to yourself, still not believing that was actually happening. “You know I do”

It was yet another bright and sunny day with you and Levi sparring with one another, a common practice between you both since the two of you rivaled each other in strength.
“Haha, I won again!” you spoke, helping Levi up to his feet
“You’re getting much better” Levi spoke as he dusted his clothes with a sour expression.
“Praise from shorty?!” you gasped “Wow, you’re definitely a softie on the inside” you chuckled as his expression turned dark and you told him that you were just joking.
He clicked his tongue and you both walked over to the mess hall to get water in comfortable silence. Once you arrived at the mess hall, you noticed many people looking at Levi with hearts in their eyes. Though you knew Levi was popular among the new recruits and had many adoring fans, you could never really see why they’d fallen for him since there were many more interesting people to fall for, an example of which was your very own crush, Hange Zoe.
“Aww, shorty’s popular. You should say hi to your fans,” you chirped and snickered lightly when he glared at you, eyeing you to shut up which made you laugh even more. “You’re fun to tease y’know?” you said, now calm from your fit of laughter and when you saw Hange, your heart fluttered as you began to get panicky because you didn’t know what to do whenever they were in front of you or just near you.
You looked back to Hange’s direction and some part of you immediately knew they’d been dragged to the hall by Moblit, their assistant because otherwise, they wouldn’t willingly go by themselves seeing as they were always too focused on experiments. You gulped quietly and felt heat slowly creep on your face.
Hange was resting their head on the table while Moblit scolded them for neglecting themselves and you heard them groan, now getting up to face Moblit and tell him everything was fine and that they had better things to do with their time. They stopped and looked around before meeting your gaze which seemed to brighten their mood as they waved frantically in your direction.
“Y/N!!” Hange smiled, and you thought they looked so precious, but then the panic set in and you realized your crush was waving at you and calling your name ‘Shit, aahh what am I gonna do’ you internally panicked and turned to Levi who noticed your panic but chose to be silent.
“Levi, help me..” you whispered silently as you looked to see Hange who’s smile dimmed before they slightly glared at Levi, which was something he noticed.
“Handle it yourself. I’m going somewhere,” he continued “I think they like you too” was all he spoke and you looked at him in shock and disbelief.
“I know you’re just going to Erwin, now shut up and don’t give me false hope, shorty” you glared and he chuckled slightly which also surprised you at that moment since Levi wasn’t the most expressive person. “Wow, I got you to laugh” you genuinely felt oddly proud but you were going to take it.
“Your stupidity makes me laugh” he chided and you felt a comical arrow stab you as the insult truly hurt you and you pouted.
“You’re mean, shorty. If your fans knew how you really were I think the number would dwindle” you said, still pouting and he scoffed in return.
“It’s much better than a four-eyed scientist who has an obsession with titans, doesn’t eat or sleep because of experiments, and doesn’t shower at all” he deadpanned and you glared at him, how dare he insult Hange, the most amazing being in this world.
“Hey! Don’t insult them like that, and for the record, they’re way better than you!” you stuck your tongue out and Levi was simply not fazed as he walked out saying something about how he had better things to do than deal with your ‘silly crush’
‘Yeah right. By things to do you mean Erwin..’ you grumbled softly as you knew Levi and Erwin were keeping their relationship a secret. You looked to where Hange’s direction was and saw they weren’t there anymore, so you decided to leave the hall since there was no more reason to stay any longer.

You and Levi were back in the training grounds going about your daily sparring, however, you noticed something was off about Levi and ended your sparring session.
“Shorty, you okay? Your movements are a bit slow and you seem unfocused..” you pointed out and he looked at you as he slightly froze in place.
“..Let’s go one more round” he said, changing the subject which failed miserably as you began to approach him, and when you did you immediately blew over in laughter.
“You and Erwin..! Man, I can’t believe it-! You guys actually fu—“ before you could finish, Levi covered your mouth and growled for you to shut up but you laughed and sighed, letting him win. “So you two really did it, huh?” you spoke, really glad your best friend found someone he liked and you smiled when you saw him nod with a very slight blush on his face.
“Good for you, getting laid and all” you patted his back
“So, now it’s your turn” he said and you froze over. “Wh-what..? That’s..that’s such a good joke, Levi” you stammered as you immediately knew what he was talking about. You being laid by Hange which isn't something you’d complain about, but the chances of that ever happening were little to none, and it was always going to be that way.
“How could one person be so smart yet so stupid at the same time. We’re done, let’s continue where we left off tomorrow.” Levi walked off and you now had nothing else to do so you decided to casually walk around until you had something you could do.
As you walked the halls, you saw a group of people run in the direction of the training grounds, and before you could ask them what was going on, one of the cadets had announced a fight was happening which piqued your interest and you really had nothing else to do so you joined them in going to the training grounds.
Once you got there, you noticed many people crowding around in a circle and so you moved forward to get a clearer picture, wondering who could be initiating a fight and when you saw who it was, your eyes widened. It was Hange--
Their button-up shirt was riddled with dirt and their hair was much more of a mess than it usually was as they panted heavily, trying to land an attack on Levi who was able to dodge it just by a slight margin.
“Why? Why’re they always staring at you?! Why can’t it be me that they stare at!” Hange grunted as they swung their fist at Levi who took the hit and groaned in pain “Just what is it that you have and I don’t?! You already have all your adoring fans and Erwin, and I- I just want to have them..!” they yelled proceeding to land yet another blow on Levi, and you decided you had to stop it now.
“Hange, stop! That’s enough he’s already hurt as it is-!” you spoke, running and opening your arms wide to stop them from further approaching Levi.
“Y/N I- why can’t I be the one you choose..?” they spoke underneath their breath and if you weren’t in your spot you wouldn’t have heard them but you did and your eyes slightly widened in surprise.
“Hange, what are you talking abou-“
“I love you, Y/N..! I always have-! Seeing you joking and laughing around with Levi hurts and I just- I wanna be the one that’s making you laugh, I want you to look at me, not him! Please, Y/N..what can I do to get your attention? What can I do to make me the only one you look at..?” Hange confessed, looking into your eyes with their now glassy light brown eyes before facing down the ground, their confidence now faltered as you stood in shock.
“..I was right. You don’t like me the way I like you..” they muttered softly as they walked a few steps away from you.
“..It’s always been you, Hange, I’ll always choose you. So please..don’t leave.” you said as you caught up to them and grabbed their wrist, keeping them in place.
Hange’s eyes widened in shock as they immediately turned to face you and move closer. “You- you really mean that?” they said in disbelief and you nodded.
“I love you, Hange.” you looked into their still glassy eyes, seeing a tear fall from the corner of their eyes, you moved your thumb to wipe at the tear.
“Are you sure? Do you really love me, or am I just dreaming this moment?” they breathed out, and you chuckled softly before grabbing at the collar of their shirt, clashing your lips with theirs in a sweet kiss which made their eyes briefly widen before returning the kiss.
And just for a few seconds, everything around you seemed to disappear, leaving you to see Hange, and only Hange. Once you pulled away for air, both your foreheads touched as you were still close to each other, feeling one another smile against your lips.
The two of stayed closer to each other as you whispered sweet nothings into their ear and the occasional ‘I love you’ which made them smile wide in the feeling of their love being reciprocated, something they thought would never happen in a million years.
“Now let’s go get you cleaned up” you said while Hange nodded and you two walked away from the training grounds leaving everyone to either be in shock or in utter confusion.
