Arthur? Arthur Fleck? Is that you?

It's me, hi. It's a very bad, really bad way to say "hello" as nothing after 5 years later, don't you think so?

It's hard to explain what is in my head now, in my heart and even in my lungs. I wanted to ask what happened to those years. How have you been? I hope better than the last time we saw each other. Something inside me wants to beliv you're better now, I want to belive it, help me to belive in it.

You're still in the same old city? I am right in my own old and sad town. A lot of friends of mine aren't my friends now. That narcisist guy who you hated to death is ruinning the life of another girl, hope she's okay and she'll be okay. I'm still in the same job I hate, but I try to make it better.

Speaking about it, do you remember the social worker who don't help you? I think what would happen if she could help you since the first moment... And you know what? Today I'm studying to be a Social Worker too. Everybody thinks was to get a better job and it's true in a strange way. But the real reason was you... I'm studying that career because I want to help, that help was deny to you, to help others like you.

I try to found relief and cure in music as you, I found a blonde and beautiful woman who writes songs of love, pain, girlhood, anxiety, sadness, freedom and poetry. I've heard her songs and I even go to her concert, was one of the best nights in my life.

And you know something funny? When you come back, all her songs about love started to come to life and make sense to me.

Do you remember "California"? That song we listened for hours and hours in midnights? You finally come back, and I want to take you yo California, forever.

It's kind of funny you back after I go on with my life, I have new friends, some of my old friends, a new partner who help me as you did it in the past. He treats me so well, so tender and gives me peace, sometimes I think both of you have the same soul.

I see you found love for your way, she's the character I've played for months and wanted to be, to convert myself to her. She looks like so interested on you, and I hope she treats you and loves you as I do. I hope you have her picture in your journal, I hope you dance with her with emotion and hold her hand with passion, I hope she laughs with your jokes as I did, I hope she helps you as I try to do in the past.

I never thought you'll come back again to my life, you were in my mind, my daydreams and my lungs after you showed in my eyes again. It's funny that I use "lungs" and not "heart", but since you come back, your name is in my breathing. Heart has envy to lungs now.

There's a lyric in a song who makes me think about you since I've heard it, "In a world of boys, he's a gentleman". Be a gentleman with her as you was with me before.

I think I'll bought a chain with your initial, and I'll use it for the rest of the year until our next date in October. I'll use it and you'll know I'm still owns you and you really knows me. I take this from a song of the blonde singer I've tell you.

I'm starting to think I'll never stop to love you, you show me after the darkest period in my life I can back to love again, to take me to the dark and scary night and bring me to the golden daylight. Maybe you know that I need to be saved again, and you're here to take me to daylight again... Thank you again, Artie...

Arthur Fleck (Arkham Joker) x reader: Deranged

Summary: You’re a therapist seeing Arthur, or as he’s now known, Joker. Angered by your compassion, he goes on a deranged rant about his plans for Gotham.

A/N: Hey guys. Just a short one shot about an idea for Arkham Joker (the name I use for the persona in the last scene in the movie). The reader has a therapy session with him and he goes on a rant to her about his plans for Gotham. She wonders if she made the right choice. Warnings: Mild violence towards reader, Arthur being condescending I hope you like it :)

You recently began working at Arkham as a therapist. You had worked with several inmates, and you enjoyed it. This was the first time you would be working with an inmate who was on the floor for the criminally insane. You were a little nervous, but you didn’t think it would be too much to handle. Oh, how wrong you were.

You remembered reading about Arthur, now Joker. That’s what he called himself. You read about him shooting the TV show host Murray Franklin years ago. It was live, so everyone saw it. You couldn’t imagine how horrifying it was for viewers to see. He was also suspected of other murders, but there was no real proof he committed them. You still had some hope you could help him.

You made your way down the hallway to the room Arthur was in. He wasn’t in handcuffs. The orderlies removed them. You knew about the panic button under the table, so the orderlies must’ve felt comfortable removing Arthur’s handcuffs. He sat in his chair, smoking a cigarette. He was either ignoring you or didn’t notice you were there. He was dressed in white scrubs, he had bits of gray in his hair and stubble on his face. His hair was combed back. He looked like an ordinary man. but his presence made you feel threatened.

You took a breath to steady yourself and sat down in the chair across from him. “Hello, Arthur. I’m Y/N. I’m here to have a session with you.” He didn’t say anything. He just sat there looking at the floor. “I just want to talk.” He took another drag from his cigarette, still not looking at you. “Sure, sweetheart, let’s talk. Tell me, what do you think of Gotham and the people in it?” That question caught you off guard. “Well, it’s not a very good place, and some people have done awful things.” Arthur chuckled to himself, believing someone else felt the same way he did. “But I still think there are people worth helping.”

The dynamic completely shifted. Arthur was now glaring at you. His eyes were completely dark. He suddenly jumped up from his chair and grabbed your shirt collar, pulling you toward him. “People worth helping, huh? Let me tell you something, sweetheart. This city would just love to have a pretty little thing like you for lunch. My whole fucking life, people living here in Gotham made me feel small. I tried to do everything right. I tried to get help, but they didn’t give a shit.” He shook you. “Where where you when I needed help? I can’t stand people like you, people who have hope. You always go the holy route. See where that got you? You know what I’m gonna do, sweetheart? I’m gonna make them feel even smaller until they give me the respect I deserve!”

You felt a little dizzy from Arthur shaking you, but you managed to press the panic button, and push him away. “Hey! I’m talking to you!” You just barely made it out the door before he could grab you. You heard him screaming at you to get back in there, screaming that you better not ignore him. As two orderlies ran inside a third stayed behind to see if you were okay. Your supervisor was more than understanding about your desire to take a half day. You went home, hoping to calm your nerves.

Insisting that there's only one good MCU film can be a much more effective way of winding up MCU fans than insisting that they all suck, but you've gotta pick the right one. If you claim Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the only good MCU film, they'll probably just be like "I disagree, but I can understand how you'd feel that way"; if you insist with a straight face that Thor: The Dark World is the only good MCU film you can get them to write entire essays about how wrong you are.

Who's your fav versions of the Joker?

I really like the btas version (is it weird that I find him pretty he's literally a drawing 🤣 and he's an asshole) and the Valeskas, I'm actually at a loss for words as to why on earth the Valeskas haven't been used for anything else, they could each have thier own animated movie or a comic mini series at least! 😢 Also it goes without saying but Ledger!Joker is phenomenal though I did once have an awful nightmare about him when I was younger 🤣 was legit terrified of him, unpopular opinion but I'm kinda indifferent to Phoenix!Joker

Also just for kicks, do you have a favorite batman?

My absolute NUMBER ONE favorite forever until I die is Heath Ledger's Joker!!!

I hopped onto the Joker train when I was 16 bc I found a gameplay of Batman: Arkham Origins, which leads me to any video game Joker! Honestly when I say this I also mean BtAS!Joker bc Mark Hamill voices them both and he's A LEGEND

Jerome is tied with second place bc I still remember his switch up in the interrogation room after he killed his mother like it was yesterday 😭😭 I stood from my couch and literally screamed I was so excited! Cameron Monaghan took that character and made it his own (Jeremiah too, he grew on me) and that alone made me watch Shameless and any other show/movie he was in LMAO

My third favorite is definitely Arthur Fleck! I don't think your opinion is unpopular, honestly I've heard quite a few people say that or that they just don't like it lmao. I really enjoyed it for what it was, it was nothing I was expecting but somehow still everything I was expecting and more once I caught on to how the story was going. Now what I AM slightly skeptical about is the sequel, but I won't lie and say I'm not gonna see it in theaters still lmao

As for the Bats, I wouldn't say I have a favorite. In The Dark Night, I really enjoyed Bruce Wayne more than Batman if that makes sense 💀

I would have to pick baby boy Bruce from Gotham! I feel like that counts 😂

EDIT: I place Scott McClure's portrayal as The Joker in his web series The Joker Blogs as my favorite as well because it was supposed to be a continuation of The Dark Knight :)
