First, I just want to excuse because English is not my first language. So my question is what can you say about why Yuan Qi (Gu Jin) accidentally kills A Yin due to the reason that A Yin let the Fox Prince escape (although her reasoning is right) I think her just deciding to free Hong Yi even though there's really a Devil that controlled him, just felt disrespectful to the immortals who died but also risked her life who Hong Ri, Yuan Qi (Gu Jin), and Yan Shuang tried so hard to extend. Because as I watched and I saw a lot of reviews supporting to not forgive Yuan Qi for accidentally killing A Yin when they can clearly see the Point of View of Yuan Qi that he is also in pain. The one accused of the murder of those in Daze Mountain and the Heavenly Emperor is someone who he got close to at some point even though they don't get along much but they accompany each other in travelling in order to collect Feng Yin's scattered spiritual energy and extend A Yin's life. On the other hand, the immortals in Daze Mountain, A Yin and Yuan Qi (Gu jin) they are close to them and it makes it difficult to decide on sentencing the accused (Hong Yi) because they are close to him.

I just don't get all the hate to the character of Yuan Qi (Gu Jin) and why even other entity is opposed to him when he just followed through what is right. He even made changes to make the punishment to A Yin a bit lighter and they also shown the despair in his face after he realized that A Yin cannot take it. The pointers I got from Yuan Qi's parents Shanggu and Bai Jui that being a True God means they still need to follow through on what's right and not what they feel they should do, like taking note on how Shanggu and Bai Jue's relationship it's also chaotic. Being a True Gods/ddesses means Duty then Love.

hi anon! apologies for not getting to this sooner. have you watched the recent episodes? i'm not sure if that already answered your questions or not, but here's my take.

I think her just deciding to free Hong Yi even though there's really a Devil that controlled him, just felt disrespectful to the immortals who died but also risked her life who Hong Ri, Yuan Qi (Gu Jin), and Yan Shuang tried so hard to extend.

what's important to remember here is that the devils had already made hong yi their scapegoat. if he had gone through the trial/punishment, he would've died. there was a lack of time to prove everything so a yin had no choice. it would've been more disrespectful to the immortals if they had punished the wrong person and let the devils get away. also, don't forget! a yin and gu jin's senior brothers already knew that hong yi was not the one doing the murders! they already asked a yin to reveal the real truth and essentially help hong yi.

for your other point: we the audience saw that yong yi, gu jin, and yan shuang spent a lot of time and effort to help a yin, but a yin does not know. and i don't think her friends want her to know. as friends, they are willing to help each other, not because they expect gratefulness or gifts.

in true xianxia genre style, there are sacrifices made for each other without the other person knowing--which leads to unintentional consequences. that's kind of the whole point.

for example: gu jin, in trying to save a yin from death, gives his command seal to hua shu--who later uses it to deceives a yin, making a yin think that gu jin doesn't care about her. in trying to save a yin, gu jin indirectly harms her ! it's tragic.

i also personally don't understand all the hate for gu jin/yuan qi, but i can see why some people are frustrated, especially on the point of gu jin not being more honest/transparent and communicative with a yin. his whole personality in the beginning of the drama was that he was very straightforward and always tried to clear any confusion with a yin. but after he got his emotional threads back (and after he had that one talk from his aunt), he started to keep things from a yin and then tried to shoulder everything on his own. it felt jarring to see him act like this. if he had just talked to a yin and if they could've just worked through some of the obstacles together, then a yin wouldn't have been kept in the dark for so long and wouldn't have suffered so much.

though it's true that gu jin suffered physically for a yin, he was willing. it was his choice. but for a yin, she never had choices. she suffered from other people's actions and from being kept in the dark. this makes it very frustrating/sad to watch a yin who faced injustice over and over.

but personally, i think this is the tragedy of the entire show.

gu jin, forced to become True God yuan qi through the death of his entire sect, forced to take on responsibilities he never wanted, forced to do a job he was never trained for. (We have to remember that Bai Jue and Shanggue grew in the God Realm, with other Gods. Yuan Qi, on the other hand, was pretty much a child in the God Realm briefly before he was brought to the Immortals Realm). He's forced to focus on Duty before Love, but he's trying to have it all--and he's failing.

For a yin, we know that feng yin will get her justice later in the drama, but the tragedy of a yin's death is that she dies at her lowest of low: no home, seen as an accomplice or helper of the devils, her actions misunderstood, her loved one (gu jin) seemingly not trusting her. she dies believing she is unloved. she dies, wronged.

I think it's super tragic all around.

I'm not comfortable sharing my real face but let me tell you that it was a cute photo with him holding me from behind 😭 and actually I also took a SECOND photo with him during a different convention year. That one, we were actually hugging. 🥰 also I took a photo with Matt Cohen and Osric Chau. They are so so lovely. Matt was a personal fav. I remember his line wasn't too long so I on a whim bought and got a second photo with him and his face lit up when he saw me again 😭 he was so adorable. I love him.

Short answer: I love the love triangle and I honestly can't decide which guy I like better lol I'm kinda on both teams. Also, in my eyes, all 3 actors have awesome chemistry between one another haha

Long Answer: I know not many people are fond of the love triangle (and I get it) and/or the characters, but I'm really invested i just love everything about the drama lol and I wish we could see a bit more of them. I think not showing a lot of them makes people have their own interpretations about the characters and their relationships between one another, like your opinion, which is very interesting to me because I never thought JooIk was acting out of envy or that he doesn't like HyunKyu. But you could be right... although imo, if anything, JooIk is acting out of selfishness, because he likes Jina and wants to get to know her and get her to forget HyunKyu. Drama implied they both met when HyunKyu “broke” (in quotes bc there’s got to be more to the story) her heart, and he kissed her because he “pitied her” but he obviously did it because he felt something else for her. Come to think of it, he MUST know the whole story, including the parts that Jina and HyunKyu ignore (oh yes, I think there’s a BIG miscommunication here), and they both seem pretty bad about how things ended so... like I said, selfishness.

Do I think JooIk dislikes HyunKyu? not really, I think its more like he feels guilty or indebted to him because he gave him a rice cake (?) right before he was going to do something important (swimming competition? entrance exam? leave for another country? my memory fails me) but HyunKyu got sick thanks to it, so his future was “ruined”. It does seem like HyunKyu brings that up everytime he wants something out of JooIk (like his car), and JooIk probably doesn’t enjoy that, who would?

There’s much to think about here, anon... Anyway, this turned out longer than expected, but whenever I start writing I just can't stop! Ooops!

Sure thing anon!  Sorry this took me a while I’ve been kind of busy ^^; Just remember Morgan is @zenoobsessed ‘s ok everyone! This takes place a month after the one shot she did where Morgan cursed Jae-ha

How did she get talked into this? Morgan groaned as she was sitting in the chair, little Ryokuryuu Lina sitting in her lap making sure she couldn’t teleport away. It was just one slip up…. One little mention that she hadn’t had a makeover since Jin-ae and…

 “Oh come on Morgan dear, you’ll look stunning when I’m done.” The former Ryokuryuu, Jae-ha hummed as he placed his comb in his teeth to hold together while brushing his fingers through the mage’s rat’s nest of hair. It was worse than Yona’s who often grumbled about unruly hair but Jae-ha insisted on wanting to this, after all he was utterly grateful this woman had saved his life a month ago by cursing him. In fact he had found out a lot about Morgan in that time, thanks to Zeno and Morgan’s own slip ups.

 “So tell me more about this beautiful past life of mine.” Jae-ha hummed, taking the comb out of his mouth and working on her hair. “You said I was the queen and your adoptive daughter but what else? Zeno mentioned the first Ryokuryuu was my brother.”

 “You were a mess.” Morgan chuckled, playing with Lina’s pigtails. “Always getting into trouble. And swung your axe around at anyone that ticked you off, took three grown men to hold you down since you’d get kidnapped every other week and most times by the time we went to rescue you, you already broke out and beat your kidnappers head’s in.”

 Lina giggled. “Daddy sounds like he was silly as a girl!”

 “You once walked in on an important meeting Hiryuu had with the nobles, sat on his lap and gave him a hickey right there.” Morgan snickered. “I thought Abi was going to have a heart attack.”

 Jae-ha started laughing at that one. “Oh my, I so could see myself doing that to Yona dear. And I guess I couldn’t be a damsel in distress.”

 “You got a little carried away and nicked me once with it, you wouldn’t stop apologizing over it.” Morgan shrugged, unconsciously rubbing at her shoulder.

 Jae-ha frowned for a moment. “Oh I’m sorry dear, I’m sure I didn’t mean-“ he was cut off as Morgan placed a finger over his lips.

 “I literally had a lifetime of you apologizing so don’t start.” She rolled her eyes.

 The former Green Dragon smirked. “Mmmm I must have been cute apologizing for it.”

 That made Morgan laugh. “You were adorable. Hiryuu couldn’t ever stay mad or frustrated at you.”

 “The little miss still can’t get mad at her husband for long, even when he does stupid things.” Zeno said in passing, coming into the room of the inn they were staying in. “But then Hiryuu didn’t even get mad that time the queen and Shu-ten broke his crown.”

 “Wait what?” Jae-ha snorted. “You gotta tell me this Zeno!”

 Morgan groaned. “You stole all of Shu-ten’s beer and he decided to use the crown like a flipping frisbee throwing it at you.”

 Lina giggled. “Uncle Zeno said before Ryokuryuu loooove to drink a lot!”

 “Wasn’t my fault he didn’t hide it well.” Morgan shrugged. “But he totally thought I helped you find it with magic when really anyone could have found that easily it was a bad hiding spot.”

 “Well he should have hidden it from his lovely sister better.” Jae-ha hummed, then stopped brushing at Morgan’s hair for a moment to think about what he just said when he saw the look on Zeno’s face. “Please don’t tell me I said that to him.”

 The Ouryuu nodded. “You did and Shu-ten tried to hit you as you ran off with Lady Zoe.”

 Morgan smiled at the memory. “Hm, he was always leaving someone on the roof of the castle. He had such a bad attitude.”

 “Zeno seems to recall you two didn’t help.” Zeno replied rather deadpan.

 “Jin-ae only got worse because he kept calling Hiryuu a dumbass and she didn’t like that.” Morgan shrugged.

 “Well of course I wouldn't just stand by with a brother calling my lovely husband an idiot.” Jae-ha chuckled. “I imagine he only got away with that being a dragon and the queen's brother?”

 Morgan nodded. “Hiryuu was pretty easygoing anyway. Forgave people easily and understood they made mistakes. About that time was when a lot of unrest and distrust for mages started surfacing. He really drew people to him and having a mage like me in his court and serving beside him, well. That eased tensions a little…. Until I answered that damn letter…” she looked down, suddenly going silent.

 “Auntie….?” Lina looked up at her worried, the little girl had gotten so attached to the mage since she saved Jae-ha so Lina had come to start calling her auntie lately.

 Jae-ha twisted his mouth, Morgan didn’t like to talk much about her darker parts of her past and he didn’t press… After all he was similar in that sense so the group didn’t press her or ask too many questions how or why she lost her core when they met, just that Yona insisted they help her find it especially after Morgan saved Jae-ha’s life. That’s why they were traveling to Awa to take a ship out to Morgan’s home country in hopes of finding said orb. He did know from Zeno there was a mage war after Hiryuu’s time and that Morgan could have been part of that, but the Yellow Dragon didn’t know all the details. “Well that’s all in the past, all we can do is move forward yes?” he hummed, still combing through her hair. “Now stay still as I make my finishing touches please.”

 Morgan sighed, clutching Lina a bit tight now as she did stay still and stopped fidgeting as he continued to work on her. Jae-ha hummed a tune as he finished her hair, putting a clip in to hold it in place and stepping back to admire his handiwork. “I didn’t stay stiff as a board dear, really you didn’t have to take it to heart.” He chuckled. “All done, you can let Lina go now.”

 Morgan just gave him a weak smile. “Just playing.” She released the little Ryokuryuu, petting her on the head. “So how do I look? Ridiculous right?”

 Jae-ha snorted. “Whatever makes you say that?”

 “Because as Jin-ae that’s exactly what you’d do, luckily you don’t have access to poofy dresses or else I’d be poured into one.” Morgan rolled her eyes.

 “You could teach me how to get one here with magic.” Jae-ha hummed, his mischievous grin showing.

 “Nope, I am so saving that lesson until I have to show you.” Morgan snickered, getting up onto her feet. “Because otherwise who knows what you’ll teleport to your side.”

 “Oh? Maybe I’ll just tickle your mark until you scream.” Jae-ha grinned, brushing her hair to the side and focusing his hand right on that curse mark of hers, concentrating a tickle spell there that made her yelp, teleporting behind Lina and holding onto the little Ryokuryuu.

 “Lina protect me from your daddy!” Morgan whined, still giggling from the tickle spell. She shook her head, laughing also at the fact Jae-ha used that old threat that Jin-ae used constantly when she wanted something or was trying to make Morgan sleep.

 Lina giggled as she was held by the mage. “I’ll protect you auntie! I’m a dragon warrior after all!”

 Jae-ha laughed. “Oohhh really? Look treasure! Grandma Yoon has rice balls!” he pointed off in a random direction.

 “Oh? Zeno’s hungry!” Zeno looked up immediately.

 “Silly daddy I won’t fall for that!” Lina stuck her tongue out at him.

 Morgan’s stomach though growled reminding her she was reminded she hadn’t eaten in several days. “Maybe we should go check anyway huh Lina? We can go together.”

 Yona right then had come running up. “Are you guys done? Lunch is ready!”

 “Ooohhh just in time my darling.” Jae-ha hummed, picking up his wife and twirling around with her before laying a kiss on her lips. He had gotten twice as affectionate with Yona if that was even possible after getting new life in him. Thanking everyday for more time with his family since Morgan came into their lives. “Mmm maybe I should give you a makeover next as we plan the next baby…” he hummed as he put her down, rubbing her stomach that only had a small bump as of now.

 “Later.” Yona bopped his nose before pulling away to come over to Morgan. “Sorry if he got carried away.”

 “It’s ok, no worse than how he was as Jin-ae.” Morgan chuckled.

 “Mommy I found this pretty flower out here in the woods earlier!” Lina cheered, holding up a snapdragon flower and smiled wide. “Auntie said this flower you used to call daddy back when you were Hiryuu!”

 “Oh? Yona giggled. “That looks like a dragon flower, isn’t it?”

 “Antirrhinum.” Morgan answered with a nod. “Lord Hiryuu had a thing with giving people nicknames after flowers. Mine was Amaryllis.”

 “Such a beautiful nickname, you should use it sometime, princess of my heart.” Jae-ha purred into Yona’s ear from behind, sending a shudder through her body as she blushed.

 “My memories are jumbled enough as it is.” Morgan made a face. “God you two are so like Jin and Hiryuu it’s scary, I mean it makes sense but seriously.”

 “Well then maybe I should start calling you mom then!” Jae-ha purred, offering a hand to Morgan as they were heading back to their campfire. “Since you did adopt me in that past life you said.”

 Morgan snorted. “You only called me mother whenever you wanted something or when you were in trouble.”

 “More reason to make up for it!” Jae-ha hummed. “Besides I welcome it, never got the chance to call anyone that before.”

 That made Morgan wilt, she had some idea about Jae-ha’s past but hearing about it made her heart ache. “… If you want to, just don’t be surprised if I start calling you Jin-ae then, sexy trouble.”

 Jae-ha winked at her. “I more than welcome it, maybe we can get into some trouble together~”

Y/n waddled back with her hair sticking out in every direction. As she rounded the corner into their shared room she let out a heavy sigh. Yoongi laid on his side of the bed, The lamp on his end table giving him a harsh shadow. He was scrolling through his countless emails. As soon as he laid eyes on hers he clicked it off and set it on his end table next to the baby monitor. He patted the empty space next to him and y/n slithered onto the bed and plopped herself down next to him. Naturally, his hand gravitated over to her and he stroked down the flyaway hairs. “I told you I could’ve put her down to sleep.”

Y/n groaned tucking herself closer to her husband’s side. “I know, but I wanted to. You’ve been doing it every night for the past few weeks.”

She brought up her leg and draped it over his. Her fluffy tail naturally curling around his. The angle helped her compensate for her heavy stomach.

He smiled, “You know you can take on less hours, we’re going to be fine if you do.”

She nodded, “I know, but I want to work until I can’t. I did it when I was pregnant with Jin-ae.”

He chuckled finished with smoothing her hair down and cupped her cheek, “I know you’re capable. But think of yourself sometimes.”

She nodded in reply. Hearing the curious question, Y/n smiled, “We’re good. Jinae’s going to kindergarten in the Fall. Our little buddy,” she rubbed her basketball of a stomach, “is going to be due here in three months, so that’s exciting. Crazy how time flies by so fast.”

The curious ask, “With one on the way, do you plan on having more?”

Y/n was quick to answer, “Just two. I don’t think my body can handle another. Dragon genes really put a toll on the body. I’m a giant balloon.”

Yoongi chuckled, “That’s your hormones speaking.”

He looked over to the curious with a wink and mouthed, “There’s always room for one more.”

The curious spoke up covering a giggle behind their hand, “How about that wolf guy, what happened to him?”

Yoongi sighed, ”Well, he’s gone. The rogue was arrested and sent to a rehab center off in the countryside somewhere. Last I heard he was integrated into a pack of misfits.”

Y/n smiled, “I can still remember it like it happened yesterday.” Yoongi leaned down and kissed her forehead in an act of comfort. She hummed and continued. “After it all happened though, Namjoon really explained to me what happened. The kid was only nineteen and was abandoned by his pack and was left rogue for too long. When he went into heat because of the lack of a pack his instincts went feral. He didn’t deserve the charges so I told Namjoon to sent him to rehab, get the kid some help.”

Yoongi rumbled slightly annoyed, “You’re too nice sometimes.”

Y/n hummed, “My scars healed, but the mental scars he may have won’t...unless he gets help.”

Yoongi tipped her chin up to look her in the eyes. “What did I do in my past life to get such a gentle, beautiful soul like you?” He leaned down and pecked her lips. She returned the kiss and when she did he deepened it. His soft lips melted into hers as he pressed himself into her. A moan escaped her lips as he pulled back for a second, he swallowed the sound returning the noise with a pleased growl. She reached up and tangled her hand in his hair trying to get him closer. 

A cry broke through and instantly stilled them. “Mommy! Daddy!” Jinae’s whimpers buzzed through the monitor. Yoongi leaned in one last time and kissed his wife’s lips. “I’ll take care of it. Go to sleep.”

She nodded dreamily falling back on the bed. With a smirk, he slipped off the bed and jogged out of the room. Over the monitor, y/n listened in hearing Jinae’s door open and her crying come to a halt. Yoongi approached their daughter and eased her of her nightmare. He assured her nothing would ever hurt her, not on his watch. To ease her back to sleep he began singing in a raspy voice a lullaby he wrote her. 

Y/n settled in and listened to his singing the words lulling her to sleep. Stroking her stomach lightly, his voice eventually lulled her to sleep as well.

I pulled the Varjadakini: The Dakini of Varjas. Varjadakini is the manifestation of Aksobhya. She holds his varja in her right hand (Aksobhya favors wrathful manifestations). She is the manifestation if wisdom in one’s psyche. She is a good idea or a clear, unobstructed thinking.

The Visvadakini is the other card. She holds the varja of Amoghasiddhi the Jina of fearlessness and his Dakinis is deep inside of everyone. IN times of stress and turmoil when life seems threatening, we can call on Visvadakini and find our inner confidence and fearlessness. omg I forgot to reply to this! so sorry. I was going to reply once I got on my laptop, but then I went weeks without using Tumblr on it, sorry!

I mainly watch Chinese short dramas (I think they're the only country that's actually producing a bunch of short ones anyway) so here are my favs:

-Queen of Attack (season 1) (2021) - One of my favs of all times!! I would mark this drama as the beginning of short dramas becoming better acted and directed. Season 1 was the best. Season 2 was just OK, so not a huge deal if you don't watch it. Fun fact: This was one of Cheng Lei's early dramas that I would say propelled him to more dramas! Well, this one and also...

-A Familiar Stranger (2022): This drama really made Cheng Lei more famous as it's got all the good stuff: good acting, good directing, good soundtrack, interesting storyline.

-Night of Love with You (2022): this was such a fun modern drama! It's funny, it's got a couple interesting plot twists, and the leads look really good together!

Yess ahhh came late to read the reply for in blossom ending but yes it was way better than my journey to you because wth that was the most annoying ending ever😭 HOW COULD THEY and will that ever get a second season after that ending💀

it was so dramatic, haha, but interesting since they open themselves to a potential second season. considering that the jiang clan is still this big conspiracy group that is trying to take control of the empire, a second season could keep exploring that. of course, the hard part is that most shows don't get a second season unless it made a huge splash, and if the actors are available.

regardless, i think that was a fun way to end the show!

honestly I just noticed this in my rewatch of Love between Fairy and Devil but the earlier episodes really made me laugh with the "Live Shangque reaction" faces his actor would make every time Dongfang Qingcang would be (in his own way) nice to Xiao Lanhua. Like episode 8 when Xiao Lanhua's power is fully recovered and Dongfang Qingcang still says to just let her sleep

Hi! So my mom's been watching "The Starry Love" and I've been following along semi-passively. Romance and comedy aside, the overarching plot seems pretty interesting. I don't really want to go back and watch it myself, so if it's not too much trouble, could you please explain the lore (e.g., the flower and how it relates to the sisters, plus the Dongqiu? tribe's role)? Idk why, I just find that part of the plot super intriguing. :D Thank you!

second, answering your question below! (spoilers, of course)

In the very first episode, they give a quick prologue:

"At the origin of time, every creature from the four realms was given life by purity and impurity. Chaos, however, wished to destroy the world. Fortunately, the immortals in the Heavenly Realm risked their lives and sealed Chaos in Guixu. Unbeknownst to everyone, the sacred tree of Dongqiu, Ganoderma Vein, had its roots so deep into the ground that it nourished itself with Chaos. Thus blossomed a Twin Flower that can absorb both purity and impurity, and who doubles as a key to Guixu.

For peace and harmony, the four realms worked together and razed Dongqui to the ground in an attempt to destroy the Twin Flower. However, the spiritual essence of the Twin Flower survived. After ten thousand years, it reincarnated as the descendants of a human empress..."

Does that make sense? That's actually really all you need to know throughout most of the drama because it doesn't quite come back until 2/3 of the way into the drama.

Essentially, the Dongqiu tribe were, uhhh, massacred in the goal to destroy the sacred tree Ganoderma Vein. (That'll play a part later. Very tragic.) The four realms are: Heavenly Realm (where immortals are), Void Realm (where Voidwalkers are), Beast Realm, and Mortal Realm. The twin sisters, born in the Mortal Realm, are the reincarnations of the Twin Flower! One is the impurity; one is the purity. Our main female lead is Yetan, the impurity twin. The second female lead is Qingkui, the purity twin--but they don't know this about themselves yet. They're just human.

So the biggest fear of the Four Realms is that whenever there is trouble in Guixu, that means that the seal is probably weakening, and will lead to Chaos escaping. So they always have the most powerful person (like the Empyrean) go into the ocean underground to re-seal it. That person always die in this effort.

And the Four Realms fear the Twin Flower because the Twin Flower is can open Guixu/release Chaos.
