Fact #1: My favorite form of art is pointillism art! It’s the art form where you create an entire piece using only dots and no brush strokes or anything else! It’s very time consuming, but not only is it worth it to create something cool, it also lets me space out and do some thinking while I just place dots everywhere lol

Fact #2: When I was younger (like between 5-10), I didn’t know that Dragonball Z, Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, and One Piece was anime because my family always watched it around the time of morning cartoons so I just thought they were cartoons lol! Because of that, I thought the first anime I’ve watched was Soul Eater, but it was actually Naruto!

Fact #3: Y’all know about the type of friend thing??? Like the “Mom” or “Dad” of the friends??? I consider myself the “Grandma” of my friends because 1) it’s mostly ironic since I’m always the youngest of my friends, 2) I’ve always brought homemade goods and/or food for my friends and always made sure they ate if they were hungry, and 3) there’s never been a moment in my life where you don’t see me sewing/patching someone’s clothing or anything alsakxjakznzksn

"I DO."

The white, pristine shiromuku trailed behind you as you walked up the aisle. The veil on your hair was flowing beautifully.

Everything had to be perfect.

Your father's wife made sure of that. The shiromuku you had picked out with her had gotten a speck of dirt on it on the day of your wedding, so she pulled strings to get a fitting one, and you were sure it had been taken from another bride who was a similar size to you.

She scrutinized everything. She made sure your nails and cuticles were clean. She made sure your hair was curled and tucked into a tight bun. She made sure heads would turn to witness how beautiful you were, and if they didn't, they would roll.

You weren't born to marry him. You were a teenager who came from a family of sorcerers and non-sorcerers. Being a sorcerer or not didn't determine your status in the family. It all depended on whose child you were.

You weren't fortunate enough. You had been born to your father's mistress, making you an illegitimate child to the family company.

Throwing you away was the easiest choice. But marrying you into one of the three major families was the best choice.

You heard the news of your marriage when you returned home to see your father's wife standing in front of the dainty apartment he paid for each month.

Your mother bid you goodbye with a sad smile on her face. She said that your life would be better if you were to get married. You wouldn't have to work two jobs to support her.

After it was decided you would marry a stranger, you were trained heavily to be perfect for him. You were ridiculed and smacked around if you didn't hold the teacup correctly or walk elegantly enough.

"I do," you whispered.

It was soft and an almost tell-tale sign that you didn't want any of this, but you didn't have a choice.

"I do," said Noritoshi.

Then, the two of you kissed and you sealed your fate to a stranger.

"YOU DON'T KNOW ME AT ALL, DO YOU?"

He tried to get to know you. He didn't have to, but if the two of you were going to spend the rest of your lives together, he didn't want it to be painful.

You appreciated the lengths he was going to, and while you were bitter about being thrown away by your family, you knew it was going to happen either way.

It wasn't Noritoshi's fault. He was older than you by two years, and it didn't matter how old he was because he would always be tied to the Kamo family.

He had things and people he cared for on the line and the safety of those things he loved all depended on how well he acted as the Head of the Kamo clan.

"You don't know me at all, do you?" you questioned.

Today was one of those days where you felt miserable and angry at everyone. Your life had changed dramatically. You were being watched at every turn and breath. You had to be someone you weren't.

He had invited you to eat dinner with him since you usually ate alone.

"No, I don't," he said as if it was obvious.

It was obvious, truthfully. The two of you were still strangers, despite being married for a few months now.

You had yet to have sex with him, and you learned he used your age as an excuse not to, thus saving you from the wrath of the elders.

He was protecting you, and you didn't know if you wanted to cry or laugh because this was your life now and there was no changing it.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?"

Butterscotch ice cream was your favorite ice cream flavor and it was the only thing you ate when you were sad.

The creamy texture always made you feel better and you needed that today.

You had gotten permission to go out today, but you didn't have anything to do in mind. You simply needed the distraction and to be out of the household, away from the suffocating servants and in-laws.

You were sitting on a bench with a cup of butterscotch ice cream you had ordered from an ice cream parlor.

It was a cute little shop that you had never ordered from before because you never had the money to order.

Noritoshi always made sure you had enough money to buy whatever you needed, but because you weren't used to having excess money, you never used it before.

The butterscotch ice cream was the first thing you bought with the money he provided for you.

He was on a mission today and you wondered if he would be back tonight. It was a simple curiosity with no strings attached, but you didn't expect the man you were just thinking of to step into your line of sight.

"What are you doing here?" you asked.

"I came back from my mission early."

"How was it?" you asked.

"Quick," he said. "May I sit?"

"Sure."

He sat next to you and the silence was awkward. There were children and couples out and about, laughing and talking.

You held out your butterscotch ice cream to him and he looked at it.

"Do you want some?" you asked.

"What is it?"

"Butterscotch ice cream."

"I've never had it," he said as he grabbed the plastic spoon.

"It's good. Trust me."

"CAN I SLEEP IN YOUR ROOM? I'M SCARED."

It was the middle of the night when you woke up from your slumber because of the loud clashes of lightning in the sky.

You didn't like lightning. It frightened you because there was a time where you were left alone as a child with no one to console you.

You quickly ran out of your room, footsteps padding against the floorboards as you made your way to Noritoshi's room.

You slid the screen open, poking your head in to see if he was awake or not. He was laying in bed with his eyes closed, so you assumed he was sleeping.

You stood there for a moment, debating if it would be creepy and weird if you climbed into his futon.

"What do you want?" he asked.

You flinched. "Um—Can I sleep in your room? I'm scared."

At the sound of your voice, he immediately sat up straight and opened his eyes.

"Yes, sorry. I thought you were someone else," he said as he opened his covers.

You shuffled into his room and slid the screen shut before crawling into his futon. Your bodies were pressed against each other, but you didn't care. You wanted to feel warm and safe.

"Can I hug you?" you asked, looking up at him.

He nodded slowly. He had never been this close to a girl before and he didn't want to do anything wrong.

You wrapped your arms around his waist and pressed your head to his side, curling up into a ball as you tried to drown out the sound of lightning.

"Thank you," you whispered.

He slowly relaxed in your embrace. "Of course."
