this is a response to the guy who hates jfgogh, fully agree. Van Gogh is mischaracterised so often, he’s not a “UwU misunderstood femboy” . If anything he’s a maniacal little animal. He got revenge on Gandhi for putting him on speakerphone by painting a massive mural of Gandhi NUDE infront of the whole school. He ripped up a stop sign and smashed a window. His whole personality is definitely not just chaotic little weirdo, but he also isn’t just sad uwu baby

Sometime people write mlm ships with the same dynamics over and over which perpetuates harmful stereotypes.

They stereotypes characters into a “dominant” and “submissive” role. In the process these characters are pushed into heteronormative ideals.

This could be the case with jfgogh. that could be why Van Gogh’s character is butchered. Although, I wouldn’t know since I haven’t seen it happen first hand so this is all an assumption. Please let me know if I am wrong!

i accidentally read every single take on this blog and it made me remember how iconic jfgogh was. the 2020 fandom was something else. jfgogh fanfiction has brought me so much joy. ive thought of a few clone high aus as jokes, and hands down the most developed and my favorite one was my jfgogh werewolf au, which was made to be a joke about the strange amount of jfk werewolf fanfiction on ao3 at the time (tell me if i can bother everyone who looks at this blog about my au because its WILD and i LOVE IT). wanna know the reason i think ive been in this fandom since 2021? there was apparently a jfgogh comic someone made on instagram that was deleted for some reason (i found out the au was called jfgogh amnesia if anyone knows anything about it PLEASE tell me im dying to know what the plot was) and i got obsessed with figuring out what happens in it and ever since then i cant escape the fandom, even if i move onto another one it ALWAYS comes back like william afton. sometimes when i see posts about van gogh i groan, but i really dont hate him. hes probably my favorite background character purely because of how goofy the fandom made him. in like every jfgogh fanfiction, jfk's character has to be butchered a bit to make him want to date a nerd. youd think itd be annoying, but i actually love it. i love everyone's small different details about van gogh. i love all of the tiny headcanons they incorporate into jfk. i love jfgogh, and i am proud to say i stan it. thank you for your time.
