It's weird when you start wondering if everything someone told you was a lie - someone you care deeply about. If they only told you these things to keep you in line and keep you close. "This person doesn't like you, that one doesn't get it. They must wonder how I put up with you."

And you feel down, and you feel worthless, and you wonder if you're just an object of flesh to them because they don't see how badly that hurts but what can you do for them?

But even in this dark pit when you feel like you're never gonna get out, you're gonna continue in this cycle, you're never gonna live in the Light because it's more convenient for people if you live in the dark and are bound by the chains of their expectations. You will climb out.

God is working something in your life for the good and for His glory and you will make it out and you will be okay. Yes, His answer is yes. Maybe not right now, not right away but His answer is yes and you have to believe on that. It's a time for miracles.

You want to be good.

You want to be better.

But sit back, let Him do.

And you'll see what's to come.

And it will be so much better than you can ever imagine.

Whatever you're going through. He sees you.

Confess and Believe

In the Old Testament, the Jewish people had a very different relationship with God than we have today. Because Adam and Eve went against Him, a divide was formed between humans and God. Years later, God gave Moses a long list of rules—the law—for His followers to live by. A relationship with God was based on how well believers followed the law. In order to become right with God, they would have to regularly go through a series of rituals and follow His list of rules perfectly.

Because this relationship was complicated and challenging—many people had a hard time following the Law. But regardless of the mistakes they made, God still loved His people—and He wanted to make things right with them. So God sent His Son, Jesus, to live a life on earth as a man, and take the punishment humans deserved.

Because of Jesus, we no longer have to follow the law perfectly in order to become right with God. Instead, Paul tells us in Romans:

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Romans 10:10 NIV

Because of Jesus, becoming right with God is much simpler than it was in the Old Testament. If we believe Jesus is God and declare our faith in Him, we are saved. It can sometimes be hard to believe this, but because of Jesus, God invites us into a relationship with Him just as we are. We don’t have to be perfect. We don't have to do anything to deserve it—we just have to be willing to accept it.

But although we no longer have to follow the law, this doesn’t mean we should do whatever we like. Through a relationship with Jesus, we’re encouraged to become more like Him each day. It’s not always easy, and we won’t always be perfect—but like a loving parent teaching His child to walk, Jesus is forgiving—He will help us after we fall, and encourage us to keep going.

If you don’t have a relationship with Jesus—know that He loves you and will meet you where you are. He doesn’t expect perfection. Instead, all He asks for is your belief in Him. Take a moment to tell Him now that you believe in Him, and ask Him to guide your life. The offer is open, all you have to do is accept it.

Idk, do you think Jesus would like it if I, and every other Christian, had his picture hanging on the wall?

My gut says he wouldn’t be a fan. And the “Christians” who question your faith because you don’t are very irritating.

No, I don’t, because the Lesbian pastor who looks like the preacher from the Simpsons is very likely lost. Or the male pastor who pushed everyone to get vaccinated is a tool and liar. All that and Acts 17:24.

And I’m no theologian, but Catholics should read Matthew. There’s scripture in chapter 6 or 7 that is very specific on how one should pray. Just saying. And it seems on that alone, most churches contradict the Bible. Even if it’s just that one thing.

Idk, I’m annoyed because as I was walking into my house with my hands full, 2 Mormon girls stopped me and started grilling me and I got real short with them real quick. I shouldn’t have done that but, I am far from the good Christian I want to be. I will try to make amends when I see them again.
