The mcu didn't spend enough time on Steve Rogers' character over 10 years.
His screentime was largely wasted reacting to the narrative and the actions of other characters (such as IM/RDJ taking over CA:CW, for example).
So now the mcu is in this pickle it created for itself trying to fill in holes re: Steve.
But the points mcu is CHOOSING to focus on are not only stupid but also kinda gross.
Obsessing over another person's virginity; how is this ok? In 2022!
If this were a female character, would it be OK?
No.
So why is the mcu being gross about this?
Because the mcu has always mocked Steve Rogers and it shows no signs of stopping, even though he left in 2019.
Steve Rogers deserves better. So do his fans.
Jennifer Walters also deserves better! And so do her fans. Why must this character's mcu introduction be her obsessing over another character's virginity? Ew.
Can we please raise the bar on this garbage writing?
Lately the mcu has drawn reviews citing it is 'adrift', 'aimless', and that the shows and movies in phase four contradict each other, and it's true.
The mcu has landed directly into the dumpster.

Something tells me that Kevin Feige and the writers of the She Hulk show need to read this and dismantle their toxic masculinity regarding the concept of male virginity:
Kevin Feige: please stop perpetuating toxic masculinity by obsessing over another man's virginity.
It is 2022!!
