i should know better than to allow myself to feel hope and yet the acolyte trailer's inclusion of so much jedi content, the training of the younglings at the beginning, all shaded in peaceful, golden light, and the group of knights and masters all igniting their sabers together, it makes my heart feel warm. i know the show will doubtless center the the dark side and use the jedi as the background context to be rebelled against, but regardless, the fact that we are going to get to see the temple closer to the height of the republic and the jedi as a flourishing culture makes me genuinely excited
I love that you shoot Bode with his own blaster that he gave you.
I love that when Bode gave you that blaster, Cal pointed out that it was not a Jedi weapon and that his Jedi master would have disapproved of it.
I love that when Denvik makes assumptions about Cal based on him being a Jedi, Cal pulls that blaster on him.
I love that Cal didn't kill Bode with his Jedi weapon.
I also love that Cal's Jedi weapon, his lightsaber, was his master's lightsaber, because his own was lost at the same time Cal's master was killed.
(And I love that when Saw Guerrera asks Cal which Jedi he took this lightsaber from, we do not know yet the circumstances under which it was given.)
I love this even more because this lightsaber was still broken at the start of the first game.
I love that Cal didn't fix his Jedi weapon until he was well on his quest to (presumably) restore the Jedi order.
I love that when the saber broke a second time, Cere gave Cal her (empty) lightsaber hilt to fix it.
(And I love that the weapon of Cere's original apprentice was so imbued with pain that Cal couldn't even hold it without a strong physical reaction.)
I love that Bode didn't have his own lightsaber with him when he revealed his true nature.
I love that he picked up the lightsaber of a Fallen Jedi instead.
In short: I love the weapons in this series and the journeys they go on. I love the statements they make. I love their breaking and fixing and the ways in which they are given.
I love their symmetry.
I love their poetry.
(But I also love that you can make every one of them purple.)
(btw i started posting my star wars doodles over at @redbean-nom! definitely not leaving here but i did want to separate my star wars/dnd stuff for ease of organization)
As you may recall I made a drawing of Louis as a magical girl here! That game didn't end up being able to happen and I DO want to spiff up his outfit again, but I am now in a new game with Will this round and he's got a magical girl outfit too >:)
William James Rowe belongs to @peachnewt and her series, Getting in Deep!
I don't think that kind of hidden blade is a good idea, Ezio.
I feel like this is a Star Wars AU and the Jedi Council is gonna have a headache with the creation of the Hidden Saber (Hidden Lightsaber?) and Ezio is one of the Jedi Masters that’s totally game using this experimental weaponry.
Yusuf is definitely the Jedi Master who introduced this to Ezio.
And now it’s the Jedi Council’s problem because Ezio and Yusuf are both charismatic Master who can sweet talk any veteran Jedi to, at worst, try it and, at best, be more open to the idea. All the Padawans and younglings think Ezio is cool though so they’re definitely interested in trying it out.
please have a young guardian Alek, a distressed Revan regretting her choice to be a consular and a poor sentinel Phebe already eyeing her next victim.
a completely self indulgent thing I did that doubled as a lineart experiment as well. The coloring was a bit hard since i didn't want the lines to disappear, but fun nonetheless.
Every once in a while I remember that Rian Johnson invented Rose Tico because he originally had Finn (child soldier who was brought up with propaganda and any attempts at identity stomped out recently escaped the people that enslaved him) and Poe (child of the New Republic, grew up in peacetime) at Canto Bight together and saw no potential for conflict or real difference between them. And then I stare into the distance and contemplate what could have been.
I desperately need the Thrawn stans (specifically novel Thrawn Stans) to remember that Thrawns whole deal is rebuilding the Empire and fighting the New Republic.
Have you ever watched the show Bones? Lots of good banter. It definitely reminds me of my two favorite idiots. I'm finally watching it all in order and just saw the episode where the main characters have to see a therapist. It's work mandated; they're not together yet. And all I can see is the couples counseling au. They even get a questionnaire for homework. This was me when that bad boy came out. I was like I saw this in a fanfic!
Omg I’ve seen a few seasons of Bones, but I don’t think I’ve seen the season that episode is in but yesss absolute vibes but also only if the therapist was then like so now you guys need to hold hands when you’re not holding your government issued weapons
Verred and Kuru are with Latros on Coruscant when the order comes out. Verred leaves Kuru with Latros and runs to the Jedi Temple to see what's going on and help people escape. She doesn't come back.
Latros takes Kuru and escapes Coruscant before ships start to get pulled over and checked for hidden jedi
Master Apos was with the younglings, and that's another reason for Verred to go to the temple: to try to help her master one last time
Dji survives by letting its ship get blown up and hiding in the debris until the clones got tired of searching for a corpse. No one ever remembers givins can survive in vacuum.
When he's sure the clones have left he sends a distress signal and hopes for the best. It gets rescued by the Da'ali twins, and asks to stay with them until it can find one of its people
(It doesn't know yet what happened to master Apos and Verred and pretty much every other member of their lineage. He suspects, but he doesn't know.)
The three of them eventually track down and find Kuru (and Latros) so Dji can reunite with the only other survivor of their little family.
Latros and the twins are both bounty hunters, and Dji is a great pilot, so they're like. hey why go our separate ways. why not become a crew.
So in my mind they become something kinda like the Ghost crew from Rebels but with two ships, three pilots, and a decade earlier
bonus thought. Latros is a kinda acquaintance of Maul (he worked for him on occasion before the Siege of Mandalore) and I think it would be very funny for them to meet him, considering the crew is composed of two jedi (bad thoughts on Maul) two mandalorians (complex thoughts on Maul) and Latros (no thoughts whatsoever)
