I love that you shoot Bode with his own blaster that he gave you.

I love that when Bode gave you that blaster, Cal pointed out that it was not a Jedi weapon and that his Jedi master would have disapproved of it.

I love that when Denvik makes assumptions about Cal based on him being a Jedi, Cal pulls that blaster on him.

I love that Cal didn't kill Bode with his Jedi weapon.

I also love that Cal's Jedi weapon, his lightsaber, was his master's lightsaber, because his own was lost at the same time Cal's master was killed.

(And I love that when Saw Guerrera asks Cal which Jedi he took this lightsaber from, we do not know yet the circumstances under which it was given.)

I love this even more because this lightsaber was still broken at the start of the first game.

I love that Cal didn't fix his Jedi weapon until he was well on his quest to (presumably) restore the Jedi order.

I love that when the saber broke a second time, Cere gave Cal her (empty) lightsaber hilt to fix it.

(And I love that the weapon of Cere's original apprentice was so imbued with pain that Cal couldn't even hold it without a strong physical reaction.)

I love that Bode didn't have his own lightsaber with him when he revealed his true nature.

I love that he picked up the lightsaber of a Fallen Jedi instead.

In short: I love the weapons in this series and the journeys they go on. I love the statements they make. I love their breaking and fixing and the ways in which they are given.

I love their symmetry.

I love their poetry.

(But I also love that you can make every one of them purple.)

Watched everyone in his new crew get killed by the empire

More little, perfect things in Jedi: Fallen Order because we’re starting chapter 6 and it’s getting even better (Spoilers ahead!):

When Cal breathes on Ilum, his breath fogs when he speaks/breathes!

BD-1′s little antennae move like an animal’s ears (ex: when he’s scared they fold down and when he’s happy they shoot up) and it’s so cuuuuute!!

Literally everything about Cal back on the Matis after his first flashback of his master on Danthomir. I cannot get over the fact that he gets to safety and immediately collapses; he’s physically and mentally exhausted, and all he wants to do is curl up and cope with the pain. There’s a lot of awesome story stuff that happens here too, but the attention put into finally showing Cal falling apart under its weight makes it that much more immersive. (Respawn, let me hug him please--)

Little Cal!! Everything about him! His teeny voice, his more open expression, his little celebratory jumps, he’s so cute! Makes a wonderful contrast against present Cal. (Also, I wasn’t playing the game myself, but it looked like young Cal had less stamina and less control than older Cal which makes perfect sense!)

Merrin’s posture on the Mantis?? Again, it’s so unimportant but her posture is impeccable, and it just adds so much character to her for me, especially when the developers go out of their way to show how both Cere and Cal tend to hunch over.

TRILLA’S. WALK. I have no idea what makes it so powerful, but man, does it make me nervous!

Just noticed this, but Cal has two run animations!! One is a more casual jog where he’s upright, and then there’s another where he’s outright sprinting and bent over to let the momentum carry him. I just love that someone acknowledged the difference because seeing it made the motions feel very different and enhance mood changes more!

When Cal and Cere have their heart to heart after Trilla gets the holocron and Cere is struggling with the guilt of being “responsible”, she kinda laughs at times despite clearly being stressed and it’s such a human reaction, I love it.

SPEAKING OF WHICH, when Cere knights Cal, she pulls Trilla’s saber to her uSING THE FORCE, PROBABLY FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE SHE GAVE UP BEING A JEDI HHHHHHHHH--

The Vader reveal in FO is second most terrifying in my opinion, next to Rogue One. The closeup of Trilla’s face to then have her suddenly stop talking, revealing she’s being force choked, and having the scene like that for a few seconds before the breathing is heard. Each breathe is louder and soon accompanied by the infamous sound of his boots, each step closer and closer. To then have the camera slowly pan out to show him appear out of the mist behind Trilla.

Been playing Fallen Order, and I really love what they’ve done with the villains. Like, in Rebels the Inquisitors were weakass laughingstocks (at least after s1) and they really didn’t do anything in Kenobi, so I was expecting more of that, but damn. They really go hard—these guys are real threats—and they actually acknowledge just how fucked up their backstory is.

On Kashyyyk, when you defeat Ninth Sister it doesn’t really feel like a victory. There was no other way to do it, she was never going to give up, but it doesn’t feel great to kill her when our whole goal is to rebuild the Jedi, and she was one. She didn’t choose this, she didn’t volunteer like the stormtroopers, she was tortured until she broke, she explicitly says she’s lost herself. She’s very much a victim of the empire, and they hammer that in. Isolation. Torture. Mutilation.

Even the ‘achievement’ is hollow. Her name was Masana Tide. She was a person. She was a Jedi. She had a name. We killed her.

I'm such a dumb fucking bitch.

I've clocked just barely 10 hours into JFO and literally just started working on putting my skills points into my, you know, lightsaber abilities--(don't fucking ask why I wasted all my skill points on force and survival skills-I have no fucking clue why I didn't think to unlock lightsaber skills until now wtf)--AND right before I revisited Zeffo to get my ass handed to me by the Second Sister once again, I decided that I was going to visit Dathomir. Because HOLY FUCK from the very second the game told me I could visit Dathomir, my dumb bitch brain was like:

And it took literally everything in me not to immediately book it there straight from Bogano. I made the decision to first visit Zeffo, but figured that once I leveled up my force and survival skills fully then that would be the time to finally visit the home planet of the galaxy's (arguably) moodiest bitches in all of existence.

So my dumb fucking stupid ass decided to finally make the trip and W O W, what do you fucking know? It's Dathomir, alright. Ya know ... the home planet of the Nightsisters ... who can literally raise a whole ass fucking zombie army to beat my poncho wearing ass into the ground five minutes into my exploring.

A part of me wants to pretend that it would be perfectly in character for Cal to just stroll up to the Nightsisters's front door, politely knock and ask to be let inside with barely anything more than the basic common sense not to point a lightsaber hilt at his eye before turning it on, but W O W .... I really did just .... land the ship and walk across Merrin's front lawn and just expected things to be, I don't know, fine!!!
