I had the opportunity to be apart of a Julie and the Phantoms zine @jatpzine recently and I’m finally getting to share my piece with you guys! Doing this project was super fun! It was my first time doing a zine and it was a really cool experience!

My piece was a JATP High School Musical AU topic so I drew Julie and Luke as Gabriela and Troy singing Breaking Free (because it’s similar to Finally Free). Super proud of this piece! Hope you guys like it too!

ayyyyyyyyy here’s my piece for the @jatpzine !! my assignment was “fantasy au” which of course means chainmail, horses, and walking through the woods hehe

I had so much fun creating my piece for the JATP Zine, I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this team. Here’s a sneak preview of my piece, which was about the lovely Molinas. 👀

    Carlos is silent for a long moment. His hand beneath hers is shaking so she closes hers and holds on to him, steadying. He draws in a breath. “I wanted—I thought Mom was here. I wanted her to be here.”

    Julie feels her breath catch in her chest. “You’ve been looking for Mom, haven’t you? With your ghost hunting?” Carlos stays silent, and that’s all the confirmation that Julie needs. “Hey, Carlos, it’s a good thing that Mom isn’t a ghost. Did you know—ghosts have something called unfinished business. It means that they still have something that they need to do that they didn’t get to do during their life. But Mamá lived her life. It’s a good thing she’s not a ghost.”

Hey y'all so back in like late April I came up with the idea of a Julie and the Phantoms Cookbook and then I caught up in school but now it's summer and I'm back onto this idea!!! At this time we're unsure what the page count would be; it would depend on the amount of contributors that end up working on the project! I can say we want to aim for lots of art and short fics!

Alex remembers being 15 and sitting on the edge of her bed, her guitar in his arms as she told him where to place his fingers. He also remembers complaining endlessly about how much the strings hurt his hands.
