it's. 3 AM so. excuse this post for being A Mess

but someone give jamie lee curtis a goddamn fucking emmy for her portrayal of donna berzatto. holy fuck. the alcoholic spiral, her hot & cold volatile moods, her connection to her boys but not to her daughter, her batshit unhinged behavior, her overwhelming depression...."no one would fucking miss me" "maybe if i took a gun to my head and shot myself" "do you know how much i fucking hate it when you ask if i'm okay?"

she's violent and it's all rubbed off on mikey. she's violent and it's fucked irrevocably with nat's head. she's violent and it's driven carmy away yet left him feeling guilty for getting the fuck out of there.

it's the way the chaos in the kitchen at the Beef was an extension of her legacy. generational trauma dripping down from her to mikey to carmy until the Beef's shutdown death. donna berzatto is entropy in the kitchen — the metaphorical space for interpersonal relationships, for closeness — and she justified the turmoil by the outcome she achieved. the seven fishes. the seven different meals. the ends justified the means, so don't you dare ask if she's okay because look! look! there are seven different meals cooked on the table that she's done! she's a provider all she ever does is provide but does anyone ever pause to say thank you? could a Not Okay person cook this complex meal? she's fucking fine just look at the seven goddamn fishes.

it's all right there in the food, she's burying herself in the food. it's this overcompensation to mask her shot mental state.

"just because i love it doesn't mean i enjoy it" = just because i love my family doesn't mean i enjoy them.

and it's becoming so clear that the gutting of the Beef is a purging of the past. they honor where they came from by naming the new restaurant The Bear, but they will move forward with new tools and a new outlook. it's breaking the messy, toxic kitchen cycle with better equipment and better people and a better foundation. doing it right this time right down to the licenses

The Tharils' world in Warrior's Gate.

The statue garden in The Keeper of Traken, the Master's poisonous influence at the heart of the otherwise-beautiful world, and the story's happy ending being subverted as he re-emerges at the end.

The Doctor and the Master rushing to stop the accidentally-unleashed entropy wave in the latter part of Logopolis as it destroys half the universe.

The first episode of Terminus as it builds in tension from the skull materialising behind Nyssa at the beginning to the final revelation of their location at the end.

All of the setting and set design in Enlightenment.

The dialogue-free scene of Omega returning to the universe in Arc of Infinity and stumbling dazedly throughout Amsterdam and watching a puppet show before he begins to disintegrate.

The ending of Mindwarp as the structure of the story is sent off the rails by the Time Lords pulling the Doctor out of time before the climax and sending Yrcanos to assassinate Peri within their visually-warped time-bubble.

The ending of Ace's arc in Curse of Fenric as she dives into the sea and emerges having confronted her lingering fears from her old life, as well as her earlier fight with the Doctor and the idea of her confronting her mixed feelings about her mother through meeting and loving her as a baby.

The Doctor confronting and rejecting the survival-of-the-fittest worldview in Survival, and the show's final scene as Ace declares the TARDIS her home and the Doctor makes his speech.

Somewhere, far beyond the cosmic horizons of Earth-73326, in an inter-dimensional realm no mortal has ever set foot to called the Nexus of All Realities—a place beyond spacetime in which all universes to ever exist is accessible—is one being, seeing, watching it all.

He had intervened once, and it is imperative that he shall not break his oath again.

“You can’t keep her there for long,” he says, “It won’t be long until she realizes the potential of that universe.”

“I’m counting on it. Your job is to keep her there until I command otherwise.”

“And what if I disobey?” He says defiantly.

“May I remind you that you’re not the only Watcher, Uatu? Perhaps I should instill someone else to the position more loyal to me.”

He grimaces. “Sooner or later, the multiverse will find a way to balance itself out. Entropy rules all.”

“Entropy will be no match for me once I get what I want, and I will.”

“You are truly lost.” Uatu shakes his head, but he is powerless. “I only hope that you come to see the faults of your ways before it’s too late.”

Wanda woke up with a searing headache. The blinding sun piercing through the slits of the blinds didn’t help either. She barely recalled the details of the previous night; she was watching back her life, reached Endgame and . . . no, there was something else there, something after Endgame. Why couldn’t she remember what it was?

Then she remembered that someone rewound time. She felt dizzy for a second, as if she was experiencing déjà vu. Then you came to get her.

She knew the information she suddenly dumped on you was absolutely ludicrous. You avoided her for the next few days; you thought you were being sneaky, but she knew you, you were not. You went from tending to her every need and bringing her things before she could even think to want them, to avoiding her gaze and giving one-worded answers to everything.

Even across the multiverse, even when bearing a different name, even when the starting conditions were different, there were still certain traits that made you the basis of who you were. The multiverse was funny like that. That was when Wanda realized that she loved Jamie, all the same, the way she loved the you from her universe, and there might be a chance at happiness for her here, that was if she figured out how to talk to you about it.

Wanda heard you say those three words one night when the entire team had gone to bed. You were with her on her bed, laying on your side with your arm propping you up as she sat crisscrossed in front of you.

She couldn’t stop laughing because you couldn’t get the pronunciation to a phrase in Sokovian right, despite Wanda’s persistence.

“You’re gonna wake everybody up!” You whined and held onto her arms to keep her from falling backwards with laughter.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry. It’s just,” she snorted, “you said ‘I am very beautiful’ instead of ‘it is beautiful’. I mean you are—“

“Okay, okay, alright, alright.” You rolled your eyes. “How about this. Ye lub-loo vas.”

You sounded absolutely ridiculous, but Wanda didn’t care. She felt like her throat was going to close up by how much love she was feeling for you.

“Oh god, did I say it right? Ye lyub-lyoo vas? Is that right?”

“я тоже тебя люблю.” She whispered breathlessly. (I love you too.)

“What does that mean?” You chuckled.

Wanda pushed you back into the bed with a firm kiss, her hands coming up to cup your cheeks.

“In case I absolutely butchered that, I love you.” You smiled.

“I love you.”

You had said those last words without ever moving your lips, which were occupied with kissing her own. She heard them in her head when you said it back to her, your fingers massaging her scalp and scrambling her thoughts.

She preferred the non-verbal conversations you two had that your powers permitted, together like a hypnotic dance in both of your subconscious.

She missed the late-night conversations with you in which you two would just hold each other and talked in your heads.

Wanda entered the kitchen to see you there, making eggs. You didn’t make an effort to let her know that you acknowledged her presence. Your mind was quiet, eerily so.

“Hey.” She said softly and came by your side. “I feel like you’ve been avoiding me.”

You stopped stirring the pancake mix, eyes trained on the spot where the counter met the wall and pursed your lips.

“I’m sorry. I’ve just been processing.” You sighed. “I thought you weren’t in your right mind, but . . .”

Wanda was beginning to get worried the more you sighed. “I kinda believe it, but it’s just difficult to wrap my brain around it.”

“I know.”

“I guess, um . . . there are so many things that humans still don’t know about, and after all the multiverse stuff Marvel has been putting out, I actually read a research paper about parallel universes out of curiosity and . . . how impossible can it be, you know? I’m actually kind of a nerd about these things. I overthink a lot . . . but you wouldn’t know that, I guess.”

“What was that?” Wanda felt her breath shorten.

“What was what?”

“That. Why is there a link? How is that even possible?”

“Liz—Wanda, are you sure you’re okay?” You grabbed her arms gently with an alarming look.

Wanda stopped herself. Something was definitively very wrong, but she didn’t elaborate on it further. Though your concern was visible, there was also a lot of confusion, and she didn’t want to burden you any longer with things that you should have never needed to worry about. She would find a way to leave this reality and give you your life back with Lizzie. Then? Then, she would find somewhere where she belonged.

So she faked a smile. “It’s all good. Don’t worry.”

“Somehow, I don’t believe you.” You grimaced. “Where is Lizzie? What happened to her?”

“She’s okay, I promise.” She grasped your fidgeting hands, assuring you. “She’s in here.” Wanda pointed at her temple.

“Can I see her, please?” You said with an edge of desperation in your voice. “Please, I just want to see my wife, only for a bit.”

She admired the love you two had for each other. Even in the face of danger, you thought of Lizzie first, as she you. Guiding your hands towards her palm (skin-to-skin contact made the process easier, as this body was a novice in magic), she took a deep breath and let you in.

Wanda felt you in her mind, hesitating, but searching. Once Lizzie had found you, she wasted no time in bringing you into her arms tearfully. You gripped her back tightly.

“Hi.” The actress sobbed, but she smiled. “I missed you.”

She touched your face, but it was cold. You let her hands caress your skin, imagining it was Wanda holding you and touching you instead. But it wasn’t.

“You don’t know how powerful you are. It’s a shame, really.”

Everything was happening in Wanda’s mind, in her mind. She should have been able to stop it, but she could only watch in horror. Without a trace of emotion on your face, you picked Lizzie up with magic, green like angry wildfire, squeezed her around the throat so hard the woman started turning blue. And when she finally limped in your grasp, did you let her go.

“I’m sorry, sweetheart.” You said, tilting your head.

When you returned to your body—Jamie’s body—the look on your face had changed completely. It was cold, calculating, and a hungry look of someone who had just completed another part of their plan and was longing for what’s next.

“Who are you?” Wanda gritted her teeth.

“Oh, don’t be like that, baby. It’s me.” You grinned. “It’s Y/N. I’m not from your reality, or this one, no, I’m from somewhere else, and I’ve been waiting for you.”

She slowly took a step back, and was met with the kitchen isle. “Why did you kill her? What did she do to you?”

“Ah yes, poor Elizabeth. Wonderful woman, not enough to control the magic that she has flowing in her veins.” You looked up with a mischievous look. “Check your magic. It’s back on.”

Wanda looked down at her hands. Her fingers curled, and soon enough, red, bright and powerful glaring back at her.

but yeah i have a super fucked up ortega!mancer called jamie who's an extremely dissociative and regretful 'entropy,' and then i unexpectedly fell so in love with herald in book 2 that my herald!mancer amber has become a mainstay as well but her personality/path r currently pretty similar to jamie's so im still working on developing her. i also played argent's route and it was fucking awesome as a ruthless!sidestep but that mc isn't quite as near and dear to my heart <3333

1. harry styles >>>>> taylor swift. harry was the best member of one direction

2. taylor swift is immensely overrated and peaked like 5-10 years ago. her past couple albums aren’t even good stfu. music was better in like 2014

3. billie eilish only has like 2 good songs but they are RLLY good.

4. beach bunny is objectively the best indie pop artist. honeymoon is objectively her best album but 6 weeks and entropy are two of her best songs.

5. queen, the beatles, and elton, are the best artists of all time, no criticism taken

6. still listen to one direction, that shit went hard

7. music peaked in the 1960s-80s. 1940s-50s had great music it’s rlly cute okay.

8. u can seperate the artists from their music like if u dont like the artist u can still listen to their music!!! (i still listen to a couple kanye songs and i’m jewish)

9. heathers is my favorite musical not the "best” musical. hamilton is one of the “best” objectively but so middle school theater kid, everyone’s first musical. “i say no” from west end cast of heathers is underrateddddd also jamie muscato is hot but barrett was def the better veronica

10. ppl who play the ukulele, guitar, and drums are hot. but in high school band, ppl who play woodwinds are objectively better than ppl who play brass.

hello um, if you're comfortable answering how did you figure out youre a system? ive been questioning it recently.

Oh, our system journey was rather in-our-face than other experiences might be.

This is a long post.

For us, we found out we were a system in 2015-2016. Jaiden split off in the middle of a terrible long term incident, and the first thing he did, without even introducing himself, was co-fronting and taking care of our old host, spoke to her gently, saying everything will be alright. Our experience is probably more lucky and calmer than others, when I think about it too much. We did not realize what a system was back then. Jamie just called us her imaginary friends or "her people", a term she took from a childhood friend of hers who was also a system, but we didn't have words like "system" or "alters/headmates/system members" back then. She (and her friend) did not know what DID was.

Her first experiences with systemhood outside of ours was from thoughtforms. She thought Jaiden was one, but he wasn't. But it was because of someone else that she found out what DID and OSDD1 was. Jamie barely did research even after being told that but she slowly did over time. She eventually found The Entropy system and DissociaDID on Youtube and then The Rings System a year after that. There was a lot of denial, but she eventually accepted we were here. (We have since stopped watching or following them except for The Rings System).

In short, we found out because we had members split, front, and communicate with her.

We are not professionals, so do not treat this as a checklist, haha. But some ways to help figure out if you are a system, are if you "hear voices". That is a common suggestion, but some members do not talk, so please keep that in mind. Sometimes they may communicate via feelings, pictures, colours, and anything else. Do these thoughts feel different from what you would think or believe in? Do they feel separate? Some signs are that you have "outer body experiences" sometimes, like you are watching yourself move but you are not in control. Dissociation in general might be something to consider. Try communicating with them. (Here is a somewhat unrelated yet related post we made a long time ago that may also give some insight? It is regarding “fronting” and trigger warning for talk on dormancy)

And of course, if you are a system, there is nothing to be afraid of. You can live a happy and vibrant life as a system. and if you are not a system, that is also okay. We can never give advice on how to tell if you are a system, but I will say this: Take your time figuring it out. It is scary, I know. There is no rush to this. Because if you are a system, speeding things up in your discovery can hurt you and/or scare the members who are hiding or feel safer in hiding. We have accidentally awoken some systems before because we talk about our system, and it "kickstarted their system discovery". Please be patient with yourself and potential system members.
