For those of you who've been saying in the tags that you didn't know white henna existed, it's not really "henna" lol. Its just cosmetic grade body art adhesive and titanium dioxide white cosmetic pigment.

omg no some (only 2) of y’all are MEAN!!!! coming to my askbox asking me if i photoshop my selfies 😭 i don’t, i use a filter but this time i had to this bc i got jagua gel henna tat and i took such good care of removing it and sleeping with it overnight but it still stained on my face!!!! so i downloaded an app and used the concealer thing to cover it up!!! i don’t have smooth skin i have v textured skin….anyway look at my henna

Doing henna with my left hand results in shaky lines, a bit messy, but the alternative is no henna....so, I'll take it! I am seeing so many new henna businesses popping up in my area...by the dozens every month...and they are using the chemical henna. ☠ Its lazy. Its dangerous. Its against the law as a business. BLACK HENNA IS POISON. Before the internet it was ok to be ignorant of the dangers. It's now everywhere to see, its NOT OK to put black henna on people because it can scar you 5 days LATER, it sinks into your skin and causes liver and kidney damage, and the scariest part - YOU CAN USE IT WITH NO PROBLEM SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE HAVING A LIFETHREATING REACTION. Black henna isnt henna at all. Its gooey,inky,shiny blackish reddish gel like chemicals . Plants LOOK like plants. My stuff is green, thick, smells like plants. My stuff has the recipe available at all times. Henna powder. Lemon juice. Lavender oil. Cajaput oil. Frankincense oil. Người dân bộ tộc Embera sống tại phía Nam Panama, có cách làm đẹp khác lạ là xăm kín người từ mực quả jagua.

hồ hết người dân trong bộ tộc Embera đều xăm hình dọc thân thể. Người trưởng thành chuộng các hình xăm hình học như những đường kẻ thẳng, tam giác, trong khi trẻ con có thể xăm hình con rắn, con bướm.

Loại mực để tạo nên những hình xăm này được lấy từ quả jagua. Do cây này rất cao nên việc hái quả jagua làm mực thuộc về đàn ông, còn công đoạn sẵn sàng mực là của phụ nữ.

Jaguar có nguồn gốc từ Nam Mỹ, Panama và miền nam Mexico. Nó có rất nhiều trong các khu rừng nhiệt đới ở Nam Mỹ và được tiêu thụ vì những bộ tộc phiên bản địa.

Khi chín, quả có thể ăn và làm đồ uống. Theo truyền thống, những trái chưa chín được sử dụng làm sơn phủ cho các buổi lễ của bộ tộc.

Nước ép từ quả jaguar chưa chín có độ sệt. Những người phụ nữ sẽ thêm tinh dầu, chất phụ gia để biến nó thành gel sử dụng cho nghệ thuật xăm mình.

Người Embera sử dụng que tre dài để vẽ các hình xăm lên thân thể. Hình có màu xanh đen hoặc màu chàm. Nó có thể lưu giữ trên thân thể trong 1-2 tuần.

Được biết, lý do quan yếu nhất nhưng người Embera xăm mình vì đây là truyền thống của tổ tiên họ. Tổ tiên người Embera đã truyền lại kỹ thuật làm mực từ jagua và xăm mình qua nhiều thế hệ. Họ tự hào vì sở hữu những hình xăm đẹp và kỹ thuật làm mực lạ mắt.

Trước kia, chỉ thầy pháp mới có thể xăm hình cho mọi người. Họ sử dụng các hình xăm trong nghi lễ cầu sức khỏe. Ngoài ra, người Embera sử dụng mực này để nguỵ trang trong rừng khi có xung đột với bộ tộc khác.

Ngày nay, họ sử dụng loại mực này như kem chống nắng, dầu gội hoặc “vũ khí” xua đuổi sâu bọ.

Bộ tộc Embera có nguồn gốc từ vùng Darien ở Panama và vùng Choco ở Colombia. Hiện nay, có khoảng 30.000 người Embera sống tại Panama.

Tuy nhiên vì vùng Darien tương đối hẻo lánh, cách TP Panama 6-10 tiếng vận chuyển nên phần lớn người dân bộ tộc đã chuyển tới sống gần Công viên quốc gia Chagres.

Vì không được phép săn bắn động vật, người Embera sống nhờ vào du lịch. Du lịch cũng khuyến khích người dân nơi đây duy trì truyền thống, văn hoá và tiếng nói riêng.
