Jade West x Fem reader:
R and Jade being gfs, not really keeping it a secret but no one seems to ever notice until the one time R walks up to the group late for lunch since she had to practice a song for a class, Jade has R’s lunch and everything and R gives her a kiss in gratitude like any gf would. Only to be bombarded with questions. Them both being like: we didn’t exactly keep it a secret. Everyone disagreeing which leads to them both pointing out every time they did PDA infront of the group. Them saying they never noticed and R smirking at jade with the ‘I wonder what else they wouldn’t notice’ smirk as she starts to rub Jade’s thigh😭
Jade blushing and Tori pointing it out but before Jade speaks R does. “Tori if you don’t shut up I can show you all the ways i can hurt you using only mg index finger” Eveyone is shocked except Jade bc she knows R is only mean when someone really pisses her off or is rude/pisses off jade and makes her uncomfortable (which Tori did)
Everyone thinking back to moments R would be mean and realising it was only ever bc it would be jade related

Warnings: cussing and fluff :)
“Hey babygirl. Sorry I’m late. I was finishing up on my song I was working on and didn’t see the clock.” You breathed out as you ran from your class to outside to get lunch. “No problem princess. Here I got you your favorite with your favorite soda.” Jade said with a small smile on her face that she only reserves for you. “Thank you baby.” You said as you slide in beside her on the bench and kiss her gratefully on her lips.
“Wait what?” Tori exclaimed as did everyone else. “How did this happen?” “That’s hot.” “Shut up Rex!” “Awwww y’all are so cute!!!” “As long as y’all are happy.” Everyone stated and Jade rolled her eyes at them. “We didn’t exactly keep it a secret guys.” You said confused but enthralled with how they were acting. “Bro ain’t no way we would miss some lesbian action.” Rex said and Jade angrily grabbed Rex from Robbie and tore his head off and threw it in the garbage. “Rex!” Robbie yelled out as he went head first into the trash can. Everyone just looked at Jade shocked but continued on because what Rex said was weird as fuck.
“I mean…Rex was kinda right. How would we have missed it?” Andre said and you rolled your eyes this time and Jade smirked over at you. “Well remember at the full moon jam and jade glared and made comments at anyone who was near me or looked at me?” You explained and they still didn’t look as convinced. “Well maybe it’s because jades such a good friend!” Cat exclaimed happily and you gave her a smile. “Well she is my best friend so I’ll give you that but has she ever done that with y’all?” You said to everyone and they all shook their heads besides Beck but jade and beck had a decent breakup and decided to just stay friends.
“And how we always hold hands when we are together.” You said. “Well we thought that y’all were really close and Jade had a soft spot for you.” Tori said and you thought of more reasons to convince them. “And! When jade literally grabbed my face and kissed me in front of a boy when he kept trying to ask me out and she said “mine!” And the boy scurried off.” You said and everyone said “ohhhh”. “I thought jade was being nice!” Cat said and everyone started laughing and Jade gave everyone glares. “I can be nice! Only to y/n though…and sometimes cat.” Jade admitted and you giggled at her. “Fuck y’all.” Jade said and you smirked at her. “You only need to fuck me.” You said and Jade blushed a little and hid her cheeks by putting both of her hands on them.
“Okay ew we didn’t need to know that.” Robbie said as he came back from receiving Rex “shut the fuck up robbie.” Jade replied and you held back a laugh. “I can’t believe we never noticed that y’all did any pda, let alone dating.” Beck said and you smirked at Jade “I wonder what else they wouldn’t notice.” As you started rubbing jaded thigh under the table and Jade started blushing again. Of course Tori took notice and decided to open her big mouth. “Why Jade blushing so much? What are y’all doing?” Tori said and before Jade could mutter a word you jumped to it. “Tori if you don’t shut up I can show you all the ways I can hurt you only using my index finger.” You threatened her and everyone just looked at you with wide eyes.
“Damn y/n didn’t think you had it in you.” Beck said shocked at your comment and everyone agreed. “Man…y’all are fucking special and not observant at all. My grandparents probably have a higher iq than all of y’all combined.” You said dumbfounded at their obliviousness. “I’m only mean when someone makes Jade upset and uncomfortable. Which Tori clearly did.” You said as you gave Tori a deadly death stare which made her shift in her seat. “Ohhhhh is that why you kicked that guy in his balls when he tore up jades poster she made for one of her plays?” Cat asked you and you giggled nodding. “Yeah she did.” Jade said proudly and put her arm around you.
“and that one time where she punched a girl in the face for making fun of Jade behind her back?” Andre said asked and you nodded. “Yup. I sure did. She got what she deserved. No one talks about my girl like that behind her back.” You said and Jade gives you a loving smile. “Damn…it definitely makes sense now. With how y/n and Jade always protect each other and are so touchy.” Tori said as everyone nodded in agreement. “Can I watch y’all kiss sometime?” Rex said and this time you got Rex and threw him somewhere as Robbie ran to go get him. “That’s my girl.” Jade said proudly as everyone smiled at the both of you together.
A/n: I hope @karsonromanoff likes it and I hope the rest of y’all enjoy it! Remember to stay hydrated and to rest! I love y’all! And happy new year!

this is so cute!
blurb, jade west x fem!reader, victorious
warnings: literally nothing except tiny bit of swearing
jade was forced to walk tori around the school to show her around by the guidance counsellor. apparently it would be good to 'broaden her horizons' by 'welcoming a new student to hollywood arts'. what a joke.
tori was, in short, the most basic girl jade had ever met. she was wearing the latest style, and of course, she carried a vanilla latte. her hair was platted to her face, clothes so bright it made jade want to vomit. disgusting.
"and.... here's the lockers. one last thing, and i swear to god, if you touch my girlfriend, i'll rip you to shreds-" jade was interrupted by a quiet voice.
"hi, baby!" you smiled up at your girlfriend. her usually angry eyes softened when she saw your smile. it never failed to brighten up her day.
"hi, sweetheart," your girlfriend murmured, letting out a small smile.
tori's annoying voice interrupted your conversation. "who's this?" she asked perkily, so cheerful it annoyed jade. in her eyes, you were the only one who could be bubbly in the mornings and she wouldn't get annoyed at you, ever. jade was a softie when it came to you.
jade rolled her eyes and proceeded to not respond, so you did it for her. "um, i'm (y/n), i'm, uh, jade's girlfriend." you stuck out your hand after your introduction, which tori took enthusiastically. "welcome to hollywood arts, i guess," you murmured.
you were kind of anxious introducing yourself to new people. you were scared of what they thought of you, which jade picked up on almost immediately. once people got to know you, they understood the person you really were.
jade grabbed your hand, squeezing it gently. her thumb gently stroked the back of your hand, trying to comfort you without words.
"you okay?" she said quietly.
"yeah, i'm good."
she smiled at you gently. "let's go eat?"
tori interrupted your conversation again. "do you mind if i join you guys? i don't really know anyone else yet, and-"
"sure, loser, you can hang with us."
the tables were crazy crowded, but you managed to find one outside. your table was you, jade, tori, beck, andre and robby.
while eating lunch, jade casually rested her hand on your thigh, and you loved the warmth of it. she always made you feel so safe with her.
tori suddenly stood up. "i'm just gonna go use the bathroom, i'll be right back-"
she got up from the table, but not before the remnants of her vanilla latte spilled all over you. the cup dropped to the floor and tori stood in shock. "oh my god, i am so sorry. here wait-"
she grabbed some tissues from a nearby table and tried to mop up the mess she had made on your clothes.
jade was watching the scene, infuriated with this girl who had just spilled a drink all over her girlfriend. "stop," she said calmly.
jade effortlessly pulled you onto her lap, where you rested comfortably as she tried to remove the stains on your shirt herself. she was so gentle. after trying her best, your shirt still looked like an absolute shit show.
you looked down, giggling at what you saw on your shirt. jade took the opportunity to plant a kiss on your forehead. she mumbled against your forehead, "i swear, i'm gonna kill that girl."
I have another jade west x reader fic coming soon!

𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐭: It's your senior year at Hollywood Arts, and Prome is coming up. You're hanging out with your friend group after rehearsal, before suddenly, Andre asks you out, and your so-called "enemy" blows up in jealousy.
𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐞: enemies - lovers fluff/slight angst
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: enemies to lovers, cursing, yelling, angsty Jade ;)
Tumblr media
"Y/n doesn't have a date to Prome..." Cat would point out, Robbie's arm around her shoulders. Of course, she didn't mean it in a rude way, but ouch, that hurt. I mean, Robbie had a date! You would roll your eyes. "Whatever, I can still go and have fun, right? I mean, I can hang out with you... right, Tori?" You would ask, your voice becoming slightly nervous.
Tori would sigh, sympathy on her face. "I'm sorry Y/n, but I'll be performing, I won't have much time to hang out with you..." She'd say, genuine sympathy in her voice. You would groan, burying your face in your hands. Suddenly, the voice of your childhood best friend would cause your head to shoot up.
"Hey, I'll go with you Y/n." Andre would cooly say, in a tone that felt reassuring, as he always was to you. You would smile, opening your mouth to speak before you were cut off by a rather opposing voice, one that instantly shot down your happiness.
"No, you won't. It's only Y/n's fault she doesn't have a date." Jade would say. She was leaning on the wall, observing her fingers, picking off the already chipped black polish on her short nails. Your eyebrows would instantly furrow. "What's your issue, Jade? Just because Beck broke up with you, I shouldn't be the victim of your anger!" You would snap back, which obviously shocked the dark-haired girl.
Andre did his best to pause this before it got more intense, "Woah there ladies, let's cool this down before-"
"Beck did NOT break up with me! I broke up with HIM! And I could care less about whether you have a date or not!" Jade would yell, her whole body stiffening. You would simply stare at her, saying nothing, as you knew she would easily be able to carry this conversation- or whatever it was- solely on her anger. She would scoff. "I'm leaving." She'd say after a pause, much to your surprise. And she did in fact, leave. She'd storm out of Sikowitz's room, slamming the door behind her, causing Cat to flinch.
"I'll get her." Tori would sigh as she stood before Robbie would suddenly speak. "Maybe... don't?" He'd suggest nervously. Tori would look at Andre, and he would nod. It was known that Jade just really didn't like Tori. "I will. Wish me luck." You'd finally decide, standing up. You'd brush off your jeans, before exiting the room.
You'd quietly walk the empty halls of HA before you came across the janitor's closet, which had its door slightly open. You'd take a deep breath, before approaching the closet, and slowly opening the door, to surely find a crying Jade, her face in her palms as she leaned against the corner of the closet. You weren't sure why, but it felt as if your heart was being tugged in all different directions.
"Jade?" You'd say softly, leaning down, seeing her back shake as she sobbed quietly. You'd bite your lip as you sat down right in front of her, yet keeping a foot or so of space, just in case she was to do something violent. You never knew with her.
"What do you want?" She'd choke out quietly, not showing her face. Her black torn jeans and combat boots looked much less intimidating than they were five minutes ago. You would sigh, and clasp your hands together.
"I just wanted to make sure you're alright. I wanted to know what triggered you and made you upset, so I can know to avoid it later-"
"I love you, Y/n." Jade would suddenly say, cutting you off as she raised her head, her face stained with mascara trails and smudged eyeliner. "That's what made me upset. That I couldn't fucking get it together and ask you out and now I'm mad that anyone else could possibly think about it." She'd say, her voice monotone, yet stern despite the few sobs between her words.
You froze. You felt your face heat up as you listened to her speak. It had always been obvious that there was something between you and her, something when you looked at each other with cold eyes that made the both of you heat up, something that caused you both to get nervous whenever you had to act as a couple for a show. You always knew you had some kind of feelings for West, but you always minimized them to just hatred and annoyance. Now you realize it was more.
"Jade..." You'd say softly. You'd quickly embrace the other in your arms. She would start crying again, heavier now, as you allowed her to sob into your chest. Luckily, you wore a black shirt today, but you wouldn't mind the stains either way. You'd run your fingers through her black and blue hair, as you'd breathe slowly in an attempt to soothe the other. "Jade, can you look at me?" You'd say, in your same soft tone.
Jade would slowly raise her head, looking at you with those eyes. Those eyes. The ones that were soft, warm, and deep when she let them be. You felt yourself tearing up as you gently rubbed her back.
"Be my date to Prome, Okay?" You'd say with a soft smile. Jade's lip would quiver, a single tear cascading down her face.
"Are you sure? Are you sure you want to be seen dancing with me?"
"Yes, more than anything."
"Okay."
"Okay."

i was made for loving you — e. munson
pairings: eddie munson x jade west!reader
word count: 5k
synopsis: you’re the new kid at hawkins high-goth, intimidating;a true femme fatale incarnate. and eddie munson is undoubtedly smitten.
warnings: fem!reader, jade west is not meant to be an oc/faceclaim just inspiration for the readers personality therefore reader is kind of rude to all characters including eddie, you probably won’t understand this as well if you haven’t watched victorious, kind of love at first sight but its really just eddie being dramatic, reader is hot and she knows it, slight sexual implications (blink and you’ll miss it), mediocre writing, fluff!
a/n: jade west was one of my many bisexual awakenings and i’ve always wanted to write something with a character inspired by her. like I said in the warnings, this may not make as much sense if you haven’t seen victorious but its still readable! also pls pls pls send requests/concepts about jade west!reader because I wanna write more of her so badly! as always, feedback is treating appreciated <3

Eddie had noticed the murmurs as soon as he stepped into the school, just in time for his third period.
He was trying to be better this year, he really was, but his late night smoke session the night before had relaxed a little too much, and he’d slept right through his alarm clock. Eddie only woke up once Wayne got home at around 8, yelling at his nephew to get his ass up and to school unless he wanted to go through a fourth senior year. The threat was enough to get him out of bed, stumbling as he attempted to put his white reeboks on while simultaneously hopping into his van.
Now, strolling down the hallway to his locker, trusty black “lunch” tin in his hands, he realized he forgot to grab his denim vest from the backseat where he’d haphazardly thrown it the day before. He groaned and glanced at his watch-9:27, three minutes before he had to be in English. He could risk being a couple minutes late.
Eddie, ignoring the usual dirty looks he received from his peers by just existing, pivoted on his heels, making his way back out to the parking lot. It was then that he initially noticed the whispers as people emerged from the front doors of the school.
Now, Eddie was very much used to such things in his wake, however, these weren’t for him. As he neared the exit, he noticed all of the students that were whispering were also pointing outside. Letting his curiosity get the best of him, Eddie sped up his steps, eyes squinting as he adjusting to the sunlight and looking around for the source of the gossip.
It didn’t take long to find you–you stuck out like a sore thumb.
In your hair were streaks of blue and purple jewel tones, a tight fitting black top that did wonders for your chest, a black skirt that Eddie was sure was far too short for school. Your shapely legs were encased with black fishnets and as his eyes traveled further down your figure, knee high black boots that had silver buckles running down the length of them and a platform that added a good couple of inches to your height sat on your feet.
Murmurs of gossip followed you as you weaved through the parking lot, but Eddie was frozen in his place, certain he’d just seen an angel. An angel clad in all black–a demon, maybe? Either way, he was entranced.
It wasn’t until he realized that you were heading straight towards him that he snapped out of his stupor. He had to say something–introduce himself, right? Eddie could feel his heart racing as you came closer to reaching him. What should he say? And–oh god, you were even prettier close up–
“Hi!” He didn’t even realize he blurted the word out until his ears picked up on it a few seconds too late.
Your steps never faltered as you passed him, but he did see your eyes rake over his figure, the corner of your lips lifting into a smirk. “Interesting.” You muttered, just loud enough for him to hear.
By then, Eddie’s mission to retrieve his vest had long since been forgotten. It wasn’t until the bell rang that the metal head realized he was stood frozen at the entrance, the other kids around him sending him weird looks. He practically floated to his next two classes, little images of you occupying his every thought.
Eddie didn’t even realize he’d left his class until he landed on the hard plastic of the cafeteria seats. The rest of the Hellfire Club was already seated, heads snapping to attention at their dungeon masters abrupt appearance. They were all quick to notice his dazed expression, Gareth taking the initiative to snap his fingers in front of his face.
“Yo, Eddie? You okay, man?”.
He did seem to return back to reality, but the dopey smile on his face stayed put. “Gentlemen,” He spoke indirectly. “I’m in love.”
The boys perked up in interest. “In love? With who?” Dustin asked, nearly pushing his lunch tray aside.
Eddie didn’t get the chance to answer before a hush fell over the hoard of students in the cafeteria. They didn’t know why until Eddie heard the tell tale sound of your boots hitting the floor, the whispers as murmurs picking back up as you passed by.
He could see the moments his friends also laid eyes on you, jaws falling slack as the girl of all of their little metal head dreams walked in. Eddie couldn’t help but smirk.
“With her.” He grinned. He couldn’t take his eyes off you as you walked right up to the lunch line, the queue of teenagers parting for you like the Red Sea. Not a single person protested as you skipped in front of all of them, paying for your lunch without a care in the world.
They watched you make your way down the middle of the rows of tables, only stopping once a letterman clad arm flung itself across your shoulders.
You tensed, eyes narrowing in anger. Jason Carver gave you what you assumed he thought was a charming smirk, jerking his head in greeting. “Hi, there. You’re new, right?”
You glared at arm and then moved your gaze to his. “Hand. Off.”
Jason’s grin faltered, but he was quick to recover. “Oh, c’mon, new girl. Don’t be like that. Why don’t you come sit with me and my buddies, huh?” He spoke while bring his free hand to your other shoulder, attempting to steer you towards his table.
“I would rather slam my tongue in a car door.” You replied monotonously. “And if you don’t get your hands off me in the next two seconds, you won’t have hands.”
The jock seemed to finally realize that you were not going to be relenting anytime soon and scoffed. “Whatever. You don’t have to be such a–“
Jason cut himself off, realizing your glare on him had become deadly and you were practically white knuckling the tray of food in your hands. You tilted your head challengingly. “A what? Do you wanna finish that sentence?”
He clenched his jaw, the only thing keeping the blonde teen from cowering in front of his peers being his pride. Clearly his throat, he stepped away, hands raising in surrender and returning to his table with his tail between his legs.
You hummed in satisfaction, resuming your search for a table to sit at. Most new kids would probably find an empty table or maybe even a group of friendly enough looking kids to sit with. You, however, refused to let anyone think you were some kind of loser.
Finally your eyes landed on a table full of boys. They all wore variations of black clothing, save for the three younger looking ones who had a bit more color on them. Each had on matching white shirts with words you couldn’t read from your spot and a cartoon demon on them. You grew curious, especially after you realized the boy at the head of the table was the one you’d seen this morning.
You remember him standing at the entrance of the school, looking at you like a kid in a candy store. He was quite cute, clad in leather with an attractively disheveled look to him.
Making your decision, you changed course to the group of boys who’d all been previously looking at your until they realized you were staring back, wide eyes shifting to their food.
It’s clear they were a tad bit frightened, none of them looking up to acknowledge your presence when you stopped behind them. Rolling your eyes, you loudly cleared your throat, making them jump in their seats.
“H-hi.” The supposed leader of them spoke, looking just as flustered as his did that morning. “What, um–what can we do for you?”
“I’m gonna sit here.” You announced, glancing down at the blonde boy with curly hair in front of you. “Move over.”
“Yes, ma’am.” He squeaked, shoving at the boy next to him until they had both scooted over a seat.
The spot allowed you to sit next to the long haired boy from that morning. He kept stealing quick glances at you, the skin on his cheeks shifting from ivory to red at your burning gaze.
“Um…m-miss?” Your head snapped to the boy in front of you, curly brunette hair and slightly tan skin clad in a colorful cap and the same shirt as his friends, which you could now see read Hellfire Club.
“It’s Y/N.” You corrected.
The boy visibly gulped. “Right. Y/N. Its um-it’s great to meet you, really. And not that we mind you sitting with us–we really don’t!” He almost yelled, startling when you narrowed your eyes at him. “But, w-why…are you sitting with us?” He asked in a high voice.
You popped one of the french fries from your plate into your mouth. “You losers seem like the coolest people here.”
The oxymoron wasn’t lost on them, but they were admittedly too frightened to point it out.
“What’s hellfire club?” You asked, pointing your black painted fingernail at their shirts.
“It’s a DnD club.” The long haired boy spoke up. There was a tremble in his voice. “Dungeons and Dragons? Ever h-heard of it?”
The beginnings of your eyebrows moved closer together, the fire in your gaze making Eddie feel simultaneously afraid and a little turned on. “Do I look like a nerd to you?”
His eyes widened a bit, the depth of his brown eyes making him resembled a baby cow. “No, of course not! You look like the exact opposite of a nerd, in fact! You’re like the coolest person i’ve ever seen!”
The other boys had never seen Eddie act so flustered, yet they couldn’t blame him. Your presence alone was enough to bring a grown man to his knees, that much was evident. Eddie looked about three seconds away from passing out and they were sure he was already willing to bend to your will.
You only tilted your head curiously at the boy. There was no one at your old school that seemed to be as affected as this guy was. Even your ex boyfriend, who swore up and down that he was in love with you, never had the same twinkle in his eye as the cute metal head in front of you.
“What’s you’re name?”
If you gave credit where credit was due, the boy never broke his stare from yours. That also never happened. You were surprised at how much you enjoyed it.
He perked up, a little grin forming. “Eddie.” You raised your eyebrows. “Munson! Eddie Munson.” He added breathlessly.
The deep berry shade painted on your lips was so alluring that Eddie was practically leaning forward. The younger boys in Hellfire were half surprised he wasn’t drooling.
“I like you, Eddie Munson.” You nodded at your own words, going back to eating your lunch nonchalantly.
Oh yeah. Eddie thought. In love was an understatement.
-
“You’re in a band?”
Eddie jumped, startled by your voice. He’d made an offhand comment at lunch that Hellfire was held in the Drama Club room, but he hadn’t actually expected you to show up.
You weren’t even sure why you had, truthfully. Maybe it was the his big, chocolate doe eyes, or the way he looked at you like you were sent from heaven, despite the fact that not only had you only had a couple of conversations, but also that you were as far from an angel as anyone could possibly be.
And, maybe, because you had no friends.
Getting ripped from your old school where you were comfortable with your group of friends was difficult, not that you’d ever let it be known. This little group of misfit kids already looked at you like you were their savior, so you feel it’s justified to claim them as your new friends. And you weren’t too concerned about their low position in the social hierarchy of Hawkins–you had enough of a social standing to keep their heads above the water.
You were facing the wall adjacent to the door, staring at one of the many handmade posters throughout the school that read CORRODED COFFIN. There was a picture of Eddie, Gareth, Jeff and Kevin, all posed with their respective instruments and smaller letters at the bottom saying to go see them Tuesdays at The Hideout.
“Uh-yeah. Me and some of the guys from Hellfire you met the other day. Jeff, Gareth and Kev.” He explained, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck. Eddie couldn’t fathom why he was feeling embarrassed right now-as if your approval of his band would make or break anything.
You let your lips form a tiny smirk, looking over your shoulder at him. “Sick name.”
Eddie could feel his heart skip, heat rushing back to his cheeks. “T-thanks. Came up with it myself.” He chuckled. “We actually play at the Hideout on Tuesdays.”
He noticed your eyebrow raised expectantly. “The Hideout! It’s a bar just outside of town. The crowds not that big, but you gotta start somewhere, right?”
You hummed in agreement, strolling over to where he was setting up the table. Eddie’s breath hitched as you stopped next to him, standing so close that he could smell your vanilla perfume, almost making him lightheaded.  Did you even have a clue of what you were doing to him?
Of course, you did. You’d been trying to get Eddie to take the hint that you were into him for the past week. Five whole days of lingering touches, sultry stares and being extra pleasant just to see his cheeks and the tips of his ears turn red.
You bent over the table to pluck one of the little figures from the game board, ensuring that you back was perfectly straight to feed fuel to Eddie’s fantasies.
Judging by the nearly inaudible groan that escaped him, you’d say you were successful.
“What are these?” You allow the tone of your voice to drop an octave, the sound more alluring than Eddie could handle.
His brain seems to short circuit for a second, glazed over eyes staring back at you blankly, jaw hanging open slightly. Smirking, your lift a finger, pushing up the bottom of his chin until his lips met. The action seemed to pull him back into reality, clearing his throat once he realized what he opened.
“Tho-those? Those are-um…figurines! I made them for my campaign.” He choked out, backing up a little. “Helps the players feel more immersed into the story.”
You held the little figure out for him to grab, making sure to graze your fingers against his palm as you gave it to him. A shiver visibly went down his spine.
“I gotta get going.” You inform, already making your way to the door.
Eddie chased you a few steps. “Wait! Are you sure you have to go? You can always stay and watch us play. Or we can teach you and you can join our next campaign.”
You’d never admit how much the offer warmed your heart. The boys were sweet-Eddie even sweeter. It’s like you could feel them slowly taking an ice pick to your frozen heart.
“No can do.” You tsked. “I have an audition to get to.”
Eddie’s eyebrows furrowed under his curly fringe. “Audition? For what?”
“Spring musical.” You shrugged.
You could almost feel the surprised wafting off of Eddie. “Really?” He asked incredulously. “Didn’t really peg you for a theatre type.”
A chuckle left your lips. “Well, I’m a woman of many talents, Eddie. And you don’t know me.” You reminded him, trying not to let the assumption upset you.
The culture shock of moving from a performing arts high school in Los Angeles to a normal high school in the middle of nowhere Indiana was truly jarring. Not only were peoples differences accepted back home, but they were encouraged. It didn’t matter what you looked like or what your interests were as long as you weren’t hurting anyone.
You’d possessed a gift for the performing arts since you were a kid, so it was a no brainer for your parents to enroll you into a performing arts high school, despite it being an hour drive. Your mother just wanted was your best for you and your father wanted what was best for your families reputation.
They’d split up halfway through your sophomore year, and while your father still sent monthly checks to help pay for school fees, your mother was struggling to pay the rent for your new two bedroom house.
She’d always wanted you to be successful when you got older especially after the divorce. Having to depend on someone else just to live was fine and dandy until you were kicked to the curb, left to fend for yourself with only a couple thousand dollars to your name.
Your incident at school only gave your mother a reason to leave California, choosing instead to move to Hawkins which had both a few family members and a lower cost of living.
Eddie’s chin dropped as he grinned at the floor. “Guess you’re right about that one. We could change that?”
Both of you seemed equally surprised at the suaveness of his offer and the fact that he got through it without stuttering.
You smirked. “We could. Not tonight.”
The heavy steps of your boots echoed as you made your way out of the room, Eddie left to watch your hips sway with flushed cheeks and a racing heart.
-
You were becoming impatient.
Two weeks had gone by and yet Eddie still hadn’t made a move. It was a bit infuriating, to say the least. You were practically always all over him, and while it was obvious he welcomed the attention, he still hadn’t gotten passed being flustered.
You really didn’t know what else to do, never having been in this situation before.
You didn’t ask people out, people asked you. With past boyfriends, they’d ask you out within a couple of days if you showing interest. But you’d met Eddie’s friends, you’d attended both Hellfire meetings and Corroded Coffin shows, he practically melted into the floor anytime you said his name. What was holding him back?
These questions were constantly on your mind, especially during times like these, when you walked through the school hallways together, so close that your knuckles grazed his as you walked.
Eddie and you share a fifth period, as you discovered on that fateful first day. You’re nearly to the classroom when you both spot a crowd forming in the middle of the hallway, murmurs of ‘cheerleaders’ and ‘hellfire freaks’. It’s enough to send you stomping towards them.
Sure enough, once you’ve shoved your way past the crowd, you spot a trio of cheerleaders cornering Dustin and Mike against the row of lockers. There’s a singular jock standing a few feet away and it takes you a second to realize he’s holding back Lucas by his biceps.
You don’t bother to listen to what the main cheerleader is cackling about before you slide yourself in between her and the freshman.
“Hello.” You interject. Her face calls for a second and you detect a bit of fear before she sticks up her chin with feigned indifference.
“Hi!” She grins back, like she hadn’t just been terrorizing a couple of fourteen year olds. “You’re the new girl, right? I’m Victoria.”
You smirk back and introduce yourself, reveling in the way her cronies seem to tremble in your presence. Even the jock had let go of Lucas, though neither of them moved.
“What seems to be the problem here?” You asked politely. You heard Eddie snicker.
“Oh, nothing really.” She replied, waving her hand dismissively. “Just had to remind the freshman of their place. You get it, right?”
You had no doubt that the confrontation stemmed from a smart remark by Dustin, maybe even Mike. But you’d taken Eddie and his band of losers under your wing, and you were nothing if not loyal.
“Can I just say,” You ignore her question. “You’re really pretty.”
She seemed surprised, but still held a hand to her heart like it was the sweetest compliment she’d ever received. “Oh, my gosh, really? Thanks.”
It didn’t escape you that she hadn’t bothered to return the compliment, not that you needed it. “Totally. And your hair is just so nice.” You say, gesturing to her long, clearly unnatural, blonde ponytail. “It would really be a shame if something happened to it, huh?”
Her face fell. “What?”
“Yeah. Like if someone, I don’t know, took a pair of scissors and just-“ You made a cutting motion with your fingers. “Chopped it all off.”
Victoria scowled, suddenly realizing the insincerity of your kindness. “Are you threatening me?”
You tilted your head to the side, shrugging. “Do I need to be?”
The cheerleader huffed. “Look. I don’t know what your problem is-“
“Oh, don’t worry. We’re getting there.” You assure. “You’re gonna leave these boys alone. Do you understand me?“
Victoria scoffed, looking back to her friends for help. One of them had witnessed your collection of scissors after asking you for a pencil. She rapidly shook her head at her friend.
“And what’s gonna happen if I don’t?” She challenged. The roll of your eyes was almost involuntary.
“Oh, my god.” You groaned. “Did you not just hear me? Did all that bleach in your hair burn the little brain cells you had?” Your face neared hers threateningly. Her eyes widened in fear and you could hear her breathing pick up. “Leave these kids alone, or I will be forced to make good on my promise. Do you understand me?”
She hesitantly nodded. “Good. Now get out of my face.” She seemed frozen in her spot. “Now!” Your voice boomed, startling everyone in the crowd that had gathered around you. Christina sprinted away, her friends not far behind her.
You sighed. “I’m gonna go to the bathroom before class.” You turn to Eddie, amusingly aware of the dazed look in his eyes as he stared at you. “I’ll meet you in there?”
You were walking away before Eddie could respond.
Eddie, along with Dustin, Lucas and Mike watched as you glided away, mouths hung open and hearts in their eyes.
“Eddie?” The metal head responded with a half-assed noise of acknowledgment. “If you don’t make a move, I will.” Dustin said.
“Not a chance, Henderson.”
-
Eddie didn’t think his day could get any worse.
He’d already bombed his history test, forgotten his money for lunch, had chocolate milk spilled on his shirt, and now his piece of shit van wasn’t starting.
Wayne had been telling him for days to go to the garage to get it looked at after Eddie told him it had been taking a few seconds too long to start up. His uncle had worked there before leaving to work at the plant, but they still gave the Munson’s discounts whenever they came in.
But Eddie had been swamped with homework and his new campaign for Hellfire, and it had just slipped his mind.
Unfortunately, there would be no time for another reminder as his engine pitifully sputtered before eventually shutting down.
“Shit!” Eddie cursed, slamming his hands down on the steering wheel angrily.
He would call the garage to come tow the van, but he didn’t know the number by heart. He’d stayed after school for mandatory tutoring forced upon him by the counselor, so it was well passed 6.
Wayne had probably already left for work, which left Eddie to try and think of literally anyone’s number until he found someone who could pick him up.
Eddie begrudgingly left the van, dragging his feet to the schools outside phone. He only made it about halfway when he heard the double doors open. He was surprised to see you walk out, and he made his surprise known by calling out your name.
“Y/N?”
Your head shot up, eyebrows furrowing when you realized it was him. “Eddie? What are still doing here?”
“Uh,” He chuckled a little, kicking a bit of gravel. “I had to stay after for tutoring, and now my van won’t start, so…” He glanced up, clearing his throat. You were gazing at him with an unreadable look in your eyes, and it was difficult for him not to squirm. “What-um…what are you doing here so late?”
You pointed your thumb behind you, gesturing to the doors that a few other students were now exiting. “Callbacks.”
“Oh, yeah! You had auditions the other day.” He grinned, snapping his fingers in recognition.
You couldn’t help the way your lips turned up, not in a smirk, but a genuine show of bashfulness. You’d be lying if you said Eddie’s presence was beginning to have an affect on you as well. At first it was just nice to have someone so blatantly infatuated with you, but it wasn’t long before you realized just how easy it was to enjoy everything about Eddie.
He was sweet, even when you couldn’t help but snap and say something rude or defensive. Old habits die hard and your abandonment issues made some of them even harder to shake. Still, Eddie never even flinched, and in just a few weeks of knowing each other, he’d easily figured out exactly what to say to calm you down.
Eddie was also deeply misunderstood, which you connected with on a deeper level that most even knew. When you claimed the Hellfire boys as your new friends, you were none the wiser of the rumors of them being a satanic cult. It wasn’t until later that same day that you heard it for the first time and you almost laughed out loud. None of those boys had the capability to hurt even a fly, much less perform a human sacrifice.
“What was the musical again?” He asked, rocking back and forth on his heels.
You chuckled, “Grease.” Neither of you realized that you had both subconsciously moved closer to each other.
“Right! You make it in?” Eddie had yet to hear you sing, but he had a feeling you were most likely extremely talented. You just had that air about you-something he could recognize as a musician himself.
He was slightly surprised to see a genuine smile appear on your face. “Yeah,” You replied, your heeled left foot crossing over your right to hold your weight. “Rizzo.”
Eddie nodded but you could see the bit of confusion swimming in his eyes. Not shocking–Eddie didn’t really seem like the type to enjoy musical theater.
“You have no idea what I’m talking about.” The words came out more like a statement than a question and the two of you laughed a little. The sound that you made nearly made his knees buckle.
“Honestly, no.” Eddie grinned. The little scrunch of his nose and the flush across his cheeks sent a funny feeling floating through your tummy. “But I have no doubt you deserve the role more than anyone. And I can’t wait to watch.”
The amused expression hadn’t left your face and you lowered your chin, eyes slightly narrowed. “You would willingly go watch a school musical?”
Eddie shrugged nonchalantly. “If you’re in it? ‘Course. I wouldn’t miss that for the world.”
In that moment, it was like a switch flipped in your brain. From the outside, Eddie couldn’t tell that there were a million thoughts swarming around in your brain. Suddenly, any morsel of patience you had left waiting for Eddie to make a move vanished.
“You said your van won’t start?” He looked a little confused at the subject change, but nodded regardless.
“Yeah, that’s what I came over here for.” Eddie told you, pointing back at the schools phone. “Was gonna call someone to come get me.”
You silently weighed your options, before making a decision.
“I could give you a ride.” You said, eyes peering at Eddie with thinly veiled mischief.
Eddie’s eyebrows raised and he smiled in surprise. “Really? Yeah, that would be great, thanks.” He hoped he didn’t look as nervous to be in a small, enclosed space alone with you, even for just the few minutes it would take to get to the trailer park.
He followed you to your car, hesitating a bit to climb into the passenger seat. The first couple minutes of the ride were silent, but not uncomfortable, until he spoke up. “I can get you some gas money. Just need to do a few more sales.”
You frowned and shook your head, waving a dismissive hand at him. “You don’t need to do that. I offered to give you a ride, I don’t need gas money.”
Eddie opened his mouth to respond when you suddenly pulled over to the side of the road. “What are you doing?”
“Speaking of gas.” You say, calm as ever. “Looks like we’re out.”
Eddie looked a little panicked and instinctively glanced at the dashboard. His eyebrows furrowed. “The gauge says you have a full tank.”
“Yeah, try not to talk.”
He didn’t have time to even be confused before he felt your hand grasp his chin, pulling his face towards you and pressing your lips to his. A moan of surprise came from the back of his throat, but his lips were quick to move against yours.
Eddie reluctantly pried himself away, breathing heavily. “I-I’m sorry. Not that I’m like, complaining-because I’m not at all, trust me-but wha-what is happening right now?”
Your thumb softly stroked against where it rested on his cheek. “I’m kissing you, Eddie.”
The metal head nodded rapidly in agreement. “Yeah, yeah, no, I get that.” His hand raised to wind around your wrist. “I’m just-uh…” His chest still raised and fell, lips swollen and tinted with your burgundy lipstick. “Just a little confused, I guess.”
You pressed another searing kiss to his lips before you answered. “I like you Eddie. And know you like me too. I was just tired of waiting for you to make a move.”
Eddie was the one to initiate the next kiss, scooting as close as possible to the center console to lean into you.
You let him pul away briefly, “I’m really sorry about that-“ Kiss. He whimpered. “-I gotta say, though-“ Kiss. “-I’m kinda glad-“ Kiss. “You had to make the first move.”
A content hum left your throat. “Me too.”

Chapter One: Sunlight (Donna's POV)
Roy arranged flowers in my hair for a picture once. He leaned over me, chuckling as he worked. His wheezy laugh was grating to most, but it made me smile. Actually, it made me laugh. “Roy, please don’t make a d—.”
“Lay still, you’re gonna mess it up… And stop breathing on me. It tickles,” Roy warned me as he wheeze-laughed. And no, it wasn’t asthma. It was more—. It was a snicker. A raspy snicker. He smelled great. It was probably the best he ever smelled since I knew him. Notes of something baked and sweet complemented by a smoky wood. I pulled his shirt to my nose, and he leaned backward on his knees. Smiling. His mouth formed cute parenthetical folds on freckled canvas. Roy was sunlight.
“Roy, we’ve been here an hour—.”
“I’m almost done. Trust the process,” Roy whispered. His voice seemed more serious at that point. “Donna, you said you already set your Polaroid—?”
“You’re done?” I asked. He nodded and stood over me with his camera. “How do I look?”
“Like a goddess,” Roy whispered, and I felt my cheeks redden as I shut my eyes. Roy snapped three pictures before kneeling beside me and removing the flowers. “Do you have a brush?”
I laughed and shook the rest of the flowers out of my hair as I sat up. “Roy, you’re stalling. Let me see—.” He held them to his chest, protecting them from me. “What? What is it?”
“Donna, if you don’t like them, would it be weird if I kept them anyway?” Roy asked. I gently pried the pictures from his hands, and the flowers spelled out I-L-Y in my hair. I looked at him, and he rubbed the back of his neck.
I laid my head on his shoulder. I was speechless, and he didn’t expect anything, but I wish I said something that day in the field. Roy was like that. He loved and never expected to be loved back. That’s what made him special to me. I could never say what I wanted to, but he didn’t force me to try. Roy pressed kisses to the side of my face and my neck. “Roy,” I whispered.
“You’ve gotta go away… I know you do, but I want you to know I’ll wait for you if you want me to,” Roy whispered.
It felt selfish to make him wait for me, but I couldn’t look at him and tell him to go. I couldn’t speak. I wish I could’ve said something, but my throat ached. I kissed him, and I think he knew. “Let me keep one picture,” Roy whispered. I nodded, and Roy returned to my cheeks and neck. I craned into his touch but could feel his pain through my flesh. It hurt, but I needed him close. I pulled him in by his shirt, and he shook his head. “Wait… Wait, I’m shaking.” Roy pulled away from me, and I turned to him. I reached to touch his arm, and he stood up. “Let me take you home before I say something dumb—.”
“You can say whatever you want, Roy. I won’t get mad,” I whispered as he took my hand and helped me stand. “Roy? Please?”
“I want ya to go. I do. Don’t get me wrong, but I don’t wanna—. I wanna—. Come on, let me take you home,” Roy sighed. He seemed irritated. Not with me, but the temperature between us changed. “You’ve got packing to do, Princess.”
His smile disappeared, and I held onto his hand, desperately squeezing for the warmth and safety it offered only moments ago. I held onto him like a child holding onto a teddy bear. “Roy, are you mad at me?” I asked.
“No, I could never—. I’m a little mixed up right now, but I’ll be okay. This is your big moment, Donna, and I’ve got a present for you back at your place,” Roy whispered, “I’m sorry… I’m gonna miss you a ton. I guess-. It didn’t feel real until today.”
He opened the door for me, and we stared at each other for a while. I wanted him to ask me to stay. I know that sounds cliche, but I hoped he would at least try. Or hell—. I don’t know. I wish he would’ve asked to go with me. We drove to my place in silence, and when I got to the door, I wanted to say everything I’d held inside—. “Surprise!” they yelled. I backed into Roy, and he offered a gentle push toward our friends.
Dick punched Roy’s shoulder. “Hey, chump, what took you so long?” Dick half-joked. Roy forced a smile.
“I had to take a quick detour to spend time with my favorite girl,” Roy replied as he slipped into the crowd. Everyone seemed so happy for me, but I couldn’t help but feel lonely.
The night droned on, and I slipped into my bedroom for a break before running into Roy. He sat on my bed with a gift box on his lap. “Roy—.”
“I know you don’t like people in your room, but I’m—. I thought you’d make an exception this one time,” Roy smiled as he gave me the box. I carefully unwrapped my gift and smiled. A plush lamb in a replica of my first drama class costume. I held it close to my chest. “I know we’re a little old for that stuff, but I—.”
I embraced him, and then there was silence. Then there was longing. Then there were lips… My lips against his warm, peach-fuzzy cheeks. Then there were lips. His lips against mine. And his scent was sweet and smoky, luring me in. I kissed his neck, and he laughed his wheezy laugh. “Donna, the party—.”
“Will you stay until after they’re gone?” I interrupted. He lifted my chin with his knuckle.
“Well, I’ve got a lot of free time with Ollie gone, so I don’t mind waiting around tonight,” Roy grinned. We partied that night, and after everyone left, Roy curled up in my bed and reached for me.
We were quiet. It was so quiet it scared us when the bed made a noise… or Roy bumped into the wall. He was gentle. “This is goodbye, isn’t it?” Roy whispered afterward. I frowned. “Maybe one day it’ll be hello again… But we’ll always be friends, right?”
“Nothing will change that,” I replied. Roy was sunlight. Far too bright to look at. Hot to the touch. He cried that night. He waited until he thought I was asleep, but I heard him. I didn’t speak because I didn’t want to hurt his pride. Still, I wish he would’ve come with me. I wondered if we would’ve stayed together if he’d simply asked to come along. I would’ve said yes. I would’ve done anything to make space for him there.

Mommy!Jade west x Little!Cat Valentine
Warnings: Mentioned R @ pe, Murder, gun, Crying, Angst, Fluff, yelling, Scared Cat.
“Why the fuck did you do it!?” Cat wondered where the loud, scary voice came from. She got up from her bed, remembering why she was there in the first place, her brother. He did, scary things, cat couldn’t explain it. All she felt was pain, and sadness. Her mascara running down her face and being hurt. She walked down, following the voices, “I- I’m sorry!, let me go Jade! Please!” Cat got happy when she heard her Girlfriends name. ‘Mommy’s home!!’ She thought, running down to the basement, she softly creeped down the stairs before stopping at the sight of her brother being tied to a chair, only in his boxers, bringing back what happened last night after Jade left. She looked to the left, seeing Jade, holding a gun at her brothers chest. “One more sentence Jason.” Jade whispered, cocking the gun, and aiming, “Ple-.” He stopped, and looked at Cat, trying to hide a smile, “Shoot me bitch.” Jade rolled her eyes and shot him In the chest twice, moving to his temple. “Jesus.” She whispered, feeling blood on her hands and her T-shirt. Cat ran back upstairs, not even caring to be quite, she was scared, not of Jade, the noise, her brother. Jade looked behind her; seeing Cat slam the door. “Kitty?” Jade yelled, dropping the gun, running up the stairs that seemed to never end, when she got upstairs she went to look for her baby, who she found without effort, due to Cats sobs in the kitchen while she was curled in a corner. “Hey Princess. Shh, it’s okay Mommy’s not gonna hurt you.” Jade whispered, trying not to touch Cat which her brothers blood on her hands. “No. I know..Noise. Scary.” Cat said, covering her ears, trying to get her brothers voice and the shots out of her head. Jade nodded, taking off her shirt, and washing her hands in the sink, she glanced at Cat who was staring at Jade. As Jade was drying her hands with a white towel, Cat pulled on her sweats, looking up at her girlfriend. “Wan go to mommy’s house..” She whispered, kissing Jades legs to suck up to her, having a feeling she’d say yes. “Mommy’s gotta clean something up. You wanna go to Tori’s while I do it?” Cat nodded, tears streaming down her face, Jade helped Cat stand, she kissed her forehead and grabbed a towel, cleaning her baby’s face. “There you go Kitty. No more crying. Everything’s gonna be alright.” Cat nodded and sat on the counter, trying not to look at her bedroom door that was across from her. Jade picked up her Cell, god IPhones were much better than the shit Pear phones they had in high school. “Hey Tor, I need you to come get Cat while I clean this mess.” Cat heard Toris’ muffled voice before Jade hung up. She took Cat off the counter and took her outside, it was a beautiful morning, birds were out, no clouds, big beautiful blue Sky. “Mommy!! Look at the birdies!!” Cat giggled, Jade smiled, “I see them Cat, they’re Mockingbirds.” Cat smiled, they were so pretty!! Jade laughed at Cats antics, just in a few minutes Tori pulled up and Cat Waved and Kissed Jade goodbye. “Hey Cat. Are you okay?” Cat nodded slowly, Tori knew this, She knew she wasn’t okay, “You can talk about it..” “Wan tell mama.” Tori nodded, Cat didn’t trust anyone but Jade, Jade was soft and gentle with her, which was silly because Jade was mean to everyone else.
Cat stared out the window, “Will mommy come get me soon?” Cat asked. Tori nodded, not actually know when Jade would be done cleaning, but anything to make Cat happy. Tori slowly pulled in, making sure not to hit Trina’s car, she got out and opened Cats door, Undoing her seatbelt. Cat ran to the door wanting to See if Trina was home. Trina always took such good care of Cat when Jade couldn’t, even if Jade hated Trina, she knew how happy she made Cat. The redhead fiddled with the door, groaning when she couldn’t open it. She whined loud and pointed at the door knob while hoping up and down. Tori chuckled, going and unlocking the door, and when she did Cat ran inside and saw Trina on the couch. “Hey Cat.” She said, without looking at her,
Focusing on the TV, Cat frowned, she whined, shaking Trina’s shoulder, Trina still didn’t look at her, tears formed in her eyes, did Trina not like her anymore? She backed away and sit on the other couch, Trina looked over and immediately rushed to her, “No, no, no, don’t cry Kitty. I was just playing.” Cat looked up and wiped her tears with her shirt, Trina kissed Cats forehead, promising her that she was just being silly, she didn’t mean to hurt the younger girls feelings. Cat, Trina, and Tori played with Barbies, even beck came over to play with her! She was so happy, until she hadn’t been, she got all quiet, checking her phone every minute, waiting on a text from Her girlfriend. When her phone made a noise she looked over and smiled, her smile dropped when she realized it was Sam, she didn’t bother to read it, she didn’t care enough. Eventually she fell asleep in Trina’s lap, she dreamed of Puppies and Rainbows, but there was one more thing, Jade. Her dream soon turned sad, her mind playing tricks on her, It was Jade blaming her for what happened. “Well? What the fuck were you wearing?” “You fucking whore.” “I can’t believe you. You’re disgusting.” Cat began to cry, not only in her dream, but on the outside, Trina felt tears drop on her jeans, looking at Cat, she immediately felt bad, Jade told Trina and Tori what happened, they understood and took Cat, hoping to make her feel better while Jade “fixed it.” Cat jumped awake when she heard a knock at the door, Tori went for it and let Jade in, Beck looked up, and Cat went to her faster than the speed of light, “Hey! My eyes are up here.” She yelled at Beck, who’d been very obviously staring, if only he knew what she does to men who objectify women. Cat scrunched her eyebrows and shielded Jades body up to her neck with the front of her body. “My Jadey.” She said loud enough for Beck to hear, “Yes baby. Your mommy.” She smiled, rubbing Cats back. She took Cat to the guest room and laid her down, kissing her quickly before laying behind her, she wrapped her arms around her girlfriend. Kissing her back, whispering soft lullabies. “Hush little baby, don’t say a word, Mommy’s gonna buy you a mockingbird, and if that Mockingbird bird don’t sing Mamas gonna buy you a diamond ring…” and so on. The two of them laid there, the only sound was Jades voice trying to get her baby to sleep. “Mama..What if someone else gets me again.” Cat asked, Turing to face Jade. Jade grabbed the smaller girls chin. Kissing her, and putting Cats head in her own chest, “No body will. I’m never leaving your side, ever.” She said quietly in Cats ear, kissing it softly. She softly rubbed Cats back, hearing Cat whimper, she pulled off of Cat and asked her to turn and sit up, when Cat did, she asked if Cat was okay to take off her shirt, Cat had a look of worry. “You- you’re not gonna hurt me, right?” She whispered, Jade was astonished, she’d never even dream, she’d never even think in the darkest part of her mind to hurt her beautiful girlfriend. “I just wanna check honey. Don’t do it if you don’t want to.” Jade said, kissing her shoulder, Cat pulled her shirt over her head, “There’s my girl.” Jade whispered, glad Cat trusted her. She looked at the many, many, bruises on Cats back, along with a few small cuts. She gently ran over them, hearing Cat wince softly, “Easy Mama. Please.” Jade moved her head up and down slowly, she hated that he did this to her, she took Cat, and laid her on her stomach. “Can you kiss it Mommy? Hurts bad..” she mumbled. Jade softly moved her lips down, being as easy and slow as she could, careful not to hurt her fragile girl. Kissing each bruise twice. Promising Cat that she’d get something to make them better.

Cat!Jade
This genuinely made me very happy to write, especially the end.
Enjoy <3
Tori brought home some groceries, she was a bit excited cause of what she bought. She unlocked the front door and opened it, smelling the lit cinnamon candle in the kitchen. Once she walked in, she bumped the door shut with her hip and went over to the kitchen. Setting the bags down on the counter and hearing Jade running over.
Jade was already down the stairs and over into the kitchen, grabbing at the bags and trying to look through. Tori slapped her hands and clicked her tongue. "Jade, calm it." She said smiling and taking out the stuff to put in the fridge. Jade huffed and sat down on a stool. "Did you get me candy?" She asked, getting impatient, her tail swished hard. Tori nodded. "Yes ma'am, don't worry." She said shutting the fridge and turning to her. "And other things." She added and grabbed a bag of catnip out.
Jade's eyes lit up and tried to grab it from out of Tori's hands. Tori brought the bag back and smirked. "You have to wait." She said holding the bag tightly, while Jade got off of the stool and tried to wrestle for it. Tori knew how Jade acted once catnip was introduced. So, Jade ended up on her back on the floor and was pinned. Tori kissed her forehead. "You. Need. To. Wait. Please." She said getting up, going through the bags again. Pulling out a plush mouse and ripping the tag off, tossing it to the living room that was a few feet over.
Jade looked at Tori deadpan. "I'm a grown woman, I don't-" she got cut off by smelling the catnip in the toy, she immediately went after it and got busy. Tori giggled and kept getting everything prepared. She pulled out other cat toys and had set them on the counter and got all the food and drinks in the cabinets or fridge. She loved pampering her girl, it just felt so nice to her. She loved showing her affection. She took all the tags off of the toys and grabbed the laser pointer, smirking. She pressed the button and shined it around the floor, Jade looked over and was enthralled.
She ran over and tried to get the red dot. She was in hunting mode. Tori was happy, she turned the light off and went over to the front door, taking her shoes off and setting them down. She slid her coat off and hung it on the hook. She looked over to see Jade getting to all of the toys and tried to open the catnip bag. Tori made her way over and took the bag. "Hold on a little longer." She said taking the bag to another room and putting it in a safe, she did this because pure catnip really fucked with Jade.
Catnip toys were only a little better for Jade than just pure catnip. So Tori had to keep it in her safe. She walked out to see Jade with her face pressed into one of the toys as she laid on the floor. Tori laughed and went upstairs, she went into their bedroom and saw that it was way cleaner than this morning. Jade had cleaned the room and organized everything. The books looked neater, their desk had a shine to it, the room smelled like lemons, she assumed it was from some febreze. Tori smiled and sat down on the bed then laid back, sprawling out. She loved the feeling of a fresh bed.
She didn't know how tired she was until she woke up two hours later, she groaned softly as she looked at the clock on their nightstand. "9:39pm. Great." She sighed as she sat up, stretching, rubbing her eyes. She was in that state where she didn't completely understand where she was, but she also did. It was dark, except for the moon shining and lighting the space up. She heard the doorbell and pouted, she wasn't ready to talk to anyone yet. She was tired and had just woken up. Most importantly, she was still in her jeans. After 30 seconds, she got off the bed and gradually went downstairs. She was met with Jade taking a pizza from some delivery guy and paying. Once Jade shut the door and turned to the kitchen, Tori spoke up. "You could have woken me up to make dinner." She mumbled, walking over to Jade and sleepily cuddling her from behind.
Jade smiled softly and set the pizza box down on the counter and opened it, taking a slice out and looking at Tori. "I could have, but you work too hard for me to do that. I want you to be rested up and feeling ok. I'll only wake you up if I have to." She said taking a bite and getting comfortable in her girlfriend's arms, her tail lightly swaying. Tori hummed in response before pressing her face into Jade's neck and sighing. "Thank you for dinner." She whispered and kept her hold. Jade purred softly, taking another slice and holding it for Tori. "No problem, baby. Now, would you want to watch a movie or TV while eating?" She asked, liking the feeling of Tori's breath on her scent glands.
Tori took the slice from her and bit into it. She nodded, letting go and walking back upstairs. Jade could tell that she was tired, she grabbed the pizza box and moved it to the coffee table in their living room. She started to get the couch comfortable with their blankets and pillows and turned the TV on, trying to think of what all to watch.
Tori wanted to change first before cuddling and watching TV. She decided to eat her slice of pizza first though. Once she was finished with the slice and had changed, she went back downstairs. Jade had gotten the couch all set up and the TV had some options of what to watch on it. She had set out the cinnamon candle that was in the kitchen to on the coffee table. Two glasses of wine were set out and two water bottles. Jade really did care for this girl, she would do anything to make her feel at ease.
Tori smiled and teared up a little, feeling strong emotions while tired was difficult. She got over to Jade and hugged her from the front, wrapping her arms around her neck and burying her face into her hair. She whimpered and just held on tight. Jade rubbed her back and kissed her head, she has had to deal with this situation more than once. She swayed them gently and combed her fingers through Tori's hair, making sure everything was going to be alright.
Jade reached down a bit and picked Tori up, making her way to the couch and sitting down with Tori on her lap. She leaned back and just held the girl, she waited for Tori to get comfortable enough to talk. A minute passed, Tori loosened her grip and pulled back a bit, looking into Jade's eyes. A smile formed and she laughed softly. "Sorry, I just love you." She whispered. Jade smiled with her and rubbed her back. "There is nothing to be sorry about, I love you too." She then gestured to the space next to her. "Want to sit so we can watch TV and eat?" She asked.
Tori raised her brows, nodding. "Oh yeah, I forgot." She giggled and slid off of Jade's lap and cuddled up next to her. She reached over and grabbed another slice of pizza, her gaze making her way to the TV. "Can we watch..." she thought about it. "Friends?" She said, taking a bite. Jade nodding, grabbing the remote. "I would have never watched this show without you demanding it so much." She joked, sort of. Tori scoffed a bit. "I don't demand." She said looking at her, ready for a playful argument. Jade laughed and nodded. "Sure, Mrs Bossy. You are very demanding." Jade said turning the show on and looking at her.
Tori smiled, playfully punching Jade's shoulder. "Maybe that's why you are always moaning my name." She teased, taking a bite and watching the show. Jade stuttered before laughing. "Oh, so we're going there?" She was so ready, she was prepared for every response. Tori nodded. "Mhm." She hummed triumphantly. Jade let her have this one, she grabbed a slice of pizza and bit into it as she cuddled into Tori. They got through a few episodes before they were both asleep on the couch, cuddled up in each other's arms and were happy.

a drabble for jade where reader always calls her pet names like baby or darling, but for once calls her by her actual name and she gets upset and is like no I’m baby 😡?
Tumblr media
“I am baby!”
Jade west x fem!reader
Warnings: cussing and fluff :)
It was a sunny, fall day when the group, Including you and your girlfriend decided to go pick some pumpkins out. The wind was blowing and you felt yourself shiver at how cold the wind is. Jade felt you shake and with a grumble, took of her leather jacket and put it around your shoulders.
You smiled up at her and said “thank you jade.” Jade turned her head to face you so fast, you thought it was going to snap. She gave you a death glare as she pulled you away from the others to a secluded area and crossed her arms.
“I am baby! Not jade. Baby.” She grumbled as she silently confessed to you. You only smiled up at her and giggled to which she snarled at. “What’s so fucking funny?” She snapped at you. You playfully rolled your eyes at her and continued to giggle as you push a piece of her hair behind her ear. “You silly! You act all badass but really you are just a little puppy! You are too cute!” You squealed. She shushed you and looked down embarrassed.
You pouted and lifted her chin up at you so you can look into her eyes. “I’m sorry baby. I know you like to keep a hold of your badass reputation and not show off all of the mushy stuff just yet. I’ll wait whenever you are ready. And I promise I’ll keep calling you pet names as I have in the past. No using your real name unless you are in deep shit.” You smiled at her innocently.
She gave you a little soft smile that she only lets you see and gives you a long forehead kiss as a way of saying thank you. She wraps her right arm around the back of your neck and y’all start walking back to your friends.
“I hope you meant it when you say that you will continue to just call me baby and other pet names. It just sounds wrong when you say “jade” or “jade west.” grumbles. “Can I say jadey?” You asked her.
She rolls her eyes at the question and the name and whispers out a “I guess…”. You smiled triumphantly and laid your head on her shoulder as y’all continued walking through the pumpkin patch with your friends to find the perfect pumpkin for you and your girlfriend.
A/n: hallo! I don’t think this was very good, it’s been awhile since I wrote but I wanted to push myself to get back into it because I miss writing :(
But I hope y’all enjoy anyway and keep a look out for more fics to come :)
Remember to rest and to stay hydrated <3

Hiiiii would you be able to write another Jade WestxFemReader story? I had an idea for stories where Jade and reader like each other for a long time, but both are afraid to make the first move. They're at Cat's girls' sleepover, it's late at night, and the topics of conversation are getting more intimate. As a result of the conversation, reader embarrassedly confesses that she has never kissed or been in a relationship with anyone. Jade listens carefully but pretends to be uninterested. A few days later at school she drags reader to the janitor's locker and kisses... Please I'm desperate for more Jade stories. sorry for such a long description
hi baby! this has been collecting dust in my drafts for a while and i finally posted it, sorry for the wait<3
you were at a sleepover at cat's place. you'd been over there so many times, but normally it was just the two of you. this time, she'd invited your mutual friend, jade, to come along too. although you enjoyed having jade around, you sometimes felt extremely nervous around her. after a while, you realised you were crushing on her. really hard. and you had no idea if she liked you back. it was becoming really hard to pretend that you were just friends, and you had no clue what to do about it.
"cat!" you squealed, as the redhead threw a pillow at your face, distracting you from your thoughts.
"focus! it's your turn," she said, a huge smile on her face. you were playing truth or dare, a must at one of cat's sleepovers. "truth or dare?" she asked you.
you decided on truth because you were scared of the devious glint in cat's eyes. you knew that if you said dare she would have immediately told you to do something either hilarious or embarrassingly stupid. and you didn't want to be embarrassed around jade.
"truth," cat repeated after you. after thinking for a while, she gave up, asking jade what would be a good question to ask you.
"i have one," jade finally spoke up. you turned your attention to her, a pink blush coating your cheeks once she didn't move her eyes away. "have you ever had your first kiss?"
you looked down, fidgeting with the rings on your fingers. why did she have to ask that question? you hesitated, then decided on telling her. "no," you murmured, glancing back and forth between the two of them.
cat's mouth opened wide. she didn't know how you, one of the prettiest girls at school, had never had her first kiss.
jade made her face look as blank as possible, but she was smiling on the inside. she knew that she was going to give you your first kiss.
*:・゚✧*:・゚*:・゚✧*:・゚*:・゚✧*:・゚*:・゚✧*:・゚*:・゚✧*:・゚*:・゚✧*:・゚*:・゚✧*:・゚
a few days after the sleepover, you were still thinking about your confession to jade and cat. they didn't tease you about it, or bring it up again, but it still lingered in your mind for the rest of the night.
you were walking to your next class when jade spotted you. she quickly shut her locker and walked up to you.
grabbing your arm lightly, she pulled you into the janitor's closet, locking the door behind the two of you.
your heart sped up, already nervous even though you had no idea what was going on. being in a small space with her made you feel like your heart was going to explode out of your chest. you blinked yourself out of your thoughts, noticing that jade was staring at you almost adoringly. "jade?" you whisper-shouted. "what's going on? why are we-"
she cut you off, cupping your cheeks with her silver-ringed hands, and then she pressed her lips to yours.
and it was perfect. you lost yourself in her, your hands coming around her to play with her hair, which you loved. you loved everything about her. one of her hands stayed cupping your cheek, the other one encircling your back, pulling you as close to her as possible.
when she finally pulled away, you whined against her lips. she smiled, giving you a small peck on your lips and then one on your forehead. your head fell against her chest, and she started stroking your hair lightly.
"i love you," she confessed, words muffled by your hair. "and i wanted to be the one to give you your first kiss."
you stilled, warmth flooding through every part of your body. "i love you too, jadey," you murmured, high on the feeling of her kiss.
she laughed quietly, loving the way that nickname made her feel. "sweetheart, we should probably get to class," she mumbled, the petname falling from her lips as if it was a second nature.
you blushed, then whispered, "one more kiss?"
she smiled, a bright one that made you forget your name. "always."

𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐭: Jade has invited Tori over to work on an assignment for Sikowitz, but the two get distracted, and end up having a pillow fight, ending with flirty remarks.

Tumblr media
Rain tapped against the windows gently, which would have put Tori right to sleep, if it weren’t for the screaming and sounds of knives slicing skin interrupting the peace. Not real skin and screams, of course, just “The Scissoring.” Normally, Tori wouldn’t have watched this movie in her free time, and she wasn’t- she was at Jade’s house - solely for the purpose of homework though (which Jade insists).
The reason why Tori was in her enemy’s house was that Sikowitz assigned them to write a short story together for homework and act it out the next class. Normally, this would be easy for the two girls, but because they need to work together it has proven to be more difficult. What wasn’t part of the homework, however, was to be cuddled up next to each other while one was on the verge of tears from fear. That one being Tori, of course. The only reason why Jade was currently tolerating this is because Tori was watching the movie with her, which took enough convincing in the first place.
Tori’s face was nuzzled into the crook of Jade’s neck, her hand grasping onto the other black, lacy shirt. Jade, on the other hand, was just laughing under her breath, teasing Tori as she cowered.
“Really, Vega, I’d assume you would have seen at least some slashers in the 18 years of your pathetic life?” She’d comment teasingly, which resulted in Tori gasping in an overdramatic, teasing manner. She’d release Jade from her grasp and would grasp a pillow, quickly hitting Jade’s shoulder with it.
“Hey! Don’t be talking so much smack when I’m the one who wrote the whole paper!” She’d say, instantly regretting the words as Jade shot her an icy, terrifying glare as she picked up the pillow again. Tori would instantly attempt to scramble away, flailing wildly, and failing. “Jade! J-“ She was cut off as the pillow hit her repeatedly, Jade smacking her as if there was no tomorrow.
Surprisingly, Tori just started laughing. She’d grin wildly as Jade continued her weak assault, “Hey!!” She’d laugh, which resulted in a little smile tugging at Jade’s lips, which were painted in black lipstick. The two girls would spend another minute or so aimlessly wrestling with pillows, laughter and small thuds filling the room joyously.
Eventually, Jade would surrender, falling back down onto her messy sheets, breathing heavily as she giggled breathily. Tori soon collapsed next to her, laughing much more boisterously. They were both a mess, their hair everywhere, clothes all twisted, makeup smudged, but they didn’t care about that right now. “Sorry about your…” Tori spoke, “Everything,” She’d finish, before chuckling as she turned to look at Jade, a little flustered to see that the dark-haired girl was looking at her already.
“It’s fine, payback, I guess,” the raven would say, nodding to the TV screen. Tori would laugh a bit, and just find herself looking at Jade. The way her messed up hair spread on the pillows, her smudged mascara made her eyes look sleepier, and her black lipstick chipped in some places. A smile would cross her face. “What??” Jade would say skeptically, narrowing her eyes.
“You’re just pretty, is all.”
“Oh.” Jade would flush, pursing her lips and looking in the other direction. Tori would giggle, before hearing what sounded like a mumble from Jade.
“Hm?” The brunette would ask, moving a bit closer in an attempt to hear what the other said.
“youreprettytoo.” She’d say a little louder, her words slurred. Tori felt her face heat up, now aware of what Jade had said, but she decided to tease Jade a little more.
“Sorry, what was that??” She’d chirp. Jade would suddenly turn to face the brunette. The girls lay on their sides, their faces only inches apart as they looked at each other, silent for a moment.
“You’re pretty too, Vega.” Jade would say in her normal tone of voice, yet her words wavering a bit. Something that Tori noticed was that whenever Jade complimented her, she would never make eye contact, like, for instance, right now, Jade’s fingers were fidgeting with the black bedsheets idly. Tori would smile dumbly as if she’d never been complimented before.
“Thank you, Jade.”
“yeah, whatever. Fix your hair..” Jade would mumble, before she reached forward, gently pushing a bit of Tori’s hair behind her ear. Tori knew her face was red. She never experienced such gentleness from Jade.
“ah…” She’d mutter, smiling softly.
“I’d rather see your face than your dead ends sometimes.” Jade would murmur. There she was again, Tori would muse, rolling her eyes.
“Goodnight Jade.” She’d say as she pulled the blankets up to her shoulders.
“Goodnight, Vega.” Jade would mock Tori in her stupid impression voice as she leaned over, turning off the lamp on her bedside table.
“That doesn’t sound like me, Jade.” Tori would mumble sassily, despite the smile she was burying in Jade’s velvety pillow sheets.

loverboy — e. munson
pairings: eddie munson x jade west!reader
word count: 1k
synopsis: your new boyfriend eddie seems to be allergic to studying and is insistent on taking a break. thankfully, you have the perfect way to pass the time. part two to i was made for loving you!
warnings: fem!reader, jade west is not meant to be an oc/faceclaim just inspiration for the readers personality, short little piece about the new relationship, is a continuation of the fic linked above but can be read as a standalone, reader is a little softer now that eddie is her man, eddie is a massive simp.
a/n: this was posted as a blurb WEEKS AGO but it got lost in the tags so I’m reposting :)))) the anon who requested this asked for reader to sing a song from the heathers musical but since reader is playing rizzo in grease I chose a different song because I like for my fics to be historically accurate. once again send in any jade west!reader requests you have. pls don't let this flop for a second time <3

“C’mon, sweetheart!”
Eddie whined once again for what seemed like the millionth time in the past hour. You’d been insistent on helping him study, not wanting to graduate without your now boyfriend. He didn’t even make it a whole hour of studying before he started to complain.
“Eddie-“ You cut yourself off, brows furrowing. “Sweetheart? Really?”
The metal head shrugged, a sheepish smile spreading across his lips. “What? I’m still trying to find the perfect pet name for you.”
The little scrunch of your nose was subtle, but to Eddie it was heartwarming. Just knowing that there was a softer side to you that only he ever got to witness made him awfully special. “Yeah, but sweetheart? Kind of ironic isn’t it?”
“I don’t know,” Eddie replied coyly, taking a chance and gently grabbing your chin in his hands. As dominant as your personality was, you did occasionally let your guard down enough to melt into his touch. “I think you’re a sweetheart, sweetheart.”
You rolled your eyes lightheartedly, grabbing his wrist and using it to pull him towards you. Eddie let out a little yelp before his lips met yours, the noise turning into a muffled one of content.
The kiss didn’t last long, much to Eddie’s dismay. He whined a little, huffing like a child when you pulled away. “Y/N…”
“Eddie, seriously. We need to study.” You said sternly, slapping away the hand that tried to reach for you. “Your government test is in two days and you will pass it.”
He groaned dramatically, falling backwards onto his bed. Eddie said your name like a petulant child, grabbing your forearm and tugging on it gently.
“Can we just take a break? Please.” The pout on his face, while cute, did little to deter your urge to help him improve his grades. “Just a few minutes, okay? Then we can keep studying and I promise I won’t complain for the rest of the night.”
You cocked an eyebrow at him, knowing him better than he’d like to admit. But something about those big doe eyes of his gazing back at you was making it hard for you to deny his wishes.
“Fine.” You sighed, biting back the smile that threatened to appear on your face when he whooped and threw his fist in the air triumphantly. “But only for a few minutes okay? As soon as I say so we’re going back to studying.”
Eddie nodded dismissively, grinning from ear to ear. “Yeah, whatever you say, lovely.”
You chuckled at the, once again, ironic nickname for you but said nothing. The kiss he planted on your lips was welcomed, but you didn’t let it get too carried away. “I have an idea.” You spoke a little breathlessly.
“And what’s that?” Eddie mumbled, trailing kisses from your lips down to your neck.
Your fingers grasped his chin, peeling him away from you. “You could help me rehearse?”
Eddie lights up at the suggestion. He’d yet to hear you sing save for the few times he’d heard you hum along to a song when he played a tape in his car.
The black backpack that sat on the floor was snatched up by your hand, digging in there for the instrumental sheet music and the singing sheet music that’d been given to you by the theater director.
“There Are Worse Things I Could Do” from Grease was broken down into notes on the page. You’d been given a tape of the music but had left it in your locker earlier that day. Luckily, your boyfriend was very musically inclined.
“Here,” You handed him the instrumental paper. Thank god you’d asked the director for the copy to practice with your own guitar at home. “Think you could play this for me so I can practice.”
“I can do whatever you want me to, baby.” The cheesy like caused you to make a face, pushing Eddie away from you as he cackled at your reaction. “Just play the damn song, Edward.”
He reached over to grab his acoustic guitar, a beautiful dark brown color with the words THIS MACHINE SLAYS DRAGONS painted on in white. Eddie set the sheet music in front of him, humming the notes to himself as one hand fiddled with the tuning keys, the other hand plucking and strumming at the strings until it sounded right.
“Right,” He grinned. “I’m ready.”
You nodded, grabbing your own sheet of music. He began to strum the song, eyes flickering between the music and you.
A deep breath entered your chest before you began to sing.
“There are worse things I could do,” Eddie’s eyes widened, plucking a couple of wrong notes in surprise. “Then go with a boy or two,” There was a natural vibrato in your voice and he could tell there was little effort in how flawless you sounded.
“Even though the neighborhood thinks I'm trashy and no good, I suppose it could be true. But there are worse things I could do.” Your eyes had shut to allow yourself to be immersed into the song. This meant that you missed the look of awe that Eddie wore. He had to keep reminding himself to look down at the music so as not to mess you up, but it took all his strength to tear his eyes away from you.
“I could flirt with all the guys. Smile at them and bat my eyes.” The corner of Eddie’s mouth quirked up when he noticed you subtly swaying to the music. Another little detail about you that added fuel to the fire of his heart.
“Press against them when we dance, make them think they stand a chance, then refuse to see it through. That's a thing I'd never do.” The abrupt halt of Eddie’s guitar ripped you from your flow, eyes flying open to glare at him.
Yet Eddie’s face was face was everything but scared, as most people on the receiving end of your glares usually were. Instead, Eddie was wearing the biggest, goofiest grin you’d ever seen.
The amusement on your own face was thinly veiled, not that you needed to hide it. “What happened?”
“If I got on one knee right now would you say yes?” The boy asked, a dreamy look in his eyes.
You’re smirked, glancing down at the way he squirmed in his seat. “Why? My singing make you wanna marry me?”
He nodded dumbly and you couldn’t help but let a grin of your own spread. You snapped your fingers in front of his face. “C’mon, loverboy. Let me finish the song and then we’ll see.”

Teaching You How to Swim
Tumblr media
SUMMARY: You end up revealing that you can't swim/not swim very well, and the OctaTrio offer to teach you how to swim. You choose Azul to teach you. On the day of the lesson he found a secluded small cave to teach you.
CHARACTERS: Azul Ashengrotto x Reader 🐙🦐
TAGS: Fluff; GN Reader; Flirting; Kissing
WORD COUNT: 2.910 words
COMMENTS: This is for the @briarvalleyarchives “Summer Shoreline” event.
To be honest, the initial idea was to write about how each of the three (Azul, Jade and Floyd) would teach you to swim. But I ended up being so inspired and carried away just by Azul's part that I ended up deciding to stick just with him.
BTW: I was born and raised on the coast, so the beach, the ocean, and even rivers, are very close to me. I love swimming and especially diving. I'm just saying this to let you know that I wrote most of this from personal experience.
I hope you enjoy 😉
Tumblr media
One day, you were in the Mostro Lounge talking to the trio and the Tweels comment that they would love to swim with you one day. And you end up revealing that you can't swim/not swim very well. Of course, they saw a deal opportunity.
They offered to teach you how to swim. After all, who better than a merfolk to teach you such a thing? They let you choose which one you would like to be your teacher and then you'll make a deal with him.
THE DEAL
“You want me to teach you?” Azul says “Of course! It will be a pleasure, an honor even.”
Despite all Azul’s confidence, you already know him, and something in his voice, a quick little tremor, made you realize that there was some kind of insecurity behind that answer.
The deal you two ended up making came as no surprise from Azul. You would work at Mostro Lounge for a month. And why a whole month?
“I pledge to teach you everything a landfolk would ever need to learn. After all, I will teach you things that could save your life. Don't you think a month is reasonable for such a thing?”
He had a point. But you wanted one more little thing from him. And you said you'd have a deal if he taught you to swim in his merman form. The Tweels started laughing derisively.
“Two months.” Azul trades back, slightly embarrassed.
“One month and one week.” you trade back
“A month and a half.”
“Deal.” You extend your hand for him to shake. He had that charismatic smile on his face. But when he's about to shake your hand, you take it away. “And what guarantees do I have that what you are going to teach me is really enough?”
The Tweels laugh derisively again. Azul himself cannot hide a small smile from the corner of his mouth. He puts his elbows on the table and laces his fingers in front of his lips. The way he's looking at you. Damn, he really knows what he's doing.
“Maybe we shouldn't spend so much time together. You are starting to learn too much from us.” Azul has an amused smile on his face. “We'll do it like this: If someday, something happens that proves that what I taught you wasn't enough, I'll provide you with underwater breath potions whenever you need them, for free.”
“With no limite? You really are confident in your teaching skills.” you comment.
“Of course I am. Are you, perhaps, the one not confident in my teaching skills? You hurt me.”
His little theatrics make you giggle, but you end up making the deal.
THE DAY OF THE LESSON
Azul found a perfect spot in the north of Sage's Island. Right underneath and behind Night Raven Collage. That beach to the west of the island was too close to the Royal Sword Academy. And a public place where you would risk being seen. Or rather, where he would risk being seen.
He chose a day when the sea was calm, obviously. And the place he found was a small cave.
You had brought your swimsuit under your uniform. You took off your uniform and when you looked back at Azul, he looked... indifferent. The truth is, he came from a place where everyone is practically naked and mermaids only wear a kind of bra. So, nothing much different from having only seen people in a swimsuit all his life.
“I must say that you choose a swimsuit that flatters you.” Azul comments.
“Thank you. How about you?”
“Me?”
“Our deal. You're going to teach me to swim in your merman form, as I recall.”
You see him getting embarrassed. He sighs. “Fine... Go into the water and turn around while I take off my clothes. If you please.”
You start to enter the water, which, surprisingly, is not very cold. The time it took for you to get into the water and get used to the temperature was enough for Azul to take off his clothes and get in the water. You are in an area where you can walk and you only hear someone entering the water. In a deep part to the point where you can't see him. You can see Azul’s clothes neatly folded on a rock.
You start looking around looking for him. You lean against the edge so he doesn't surprise you. You see a huge, dark spot in the water approaching you. And he slowly lifts his head out of the water to look at you.
“Satisfied?” He looks a little sulky.
“Quite.” You smile at him, which makes his embarrassment increase.
“Good... Now... the first thing to learn to swim is to trust the water.”
“What do you mean?”
“From what I've heard, the problem with most landfolks who can't swim is because they're afraid of drowning. They don't trust the water to make them float for example. You need to know how water works in your body to know how to use it.”
“And how do you train your confidence with water?”
“Floating.” He smiles, that smile to make you comfortable. He rises higher in the water, getting the water up to his stomach. “You will lie on the surface, like when you lie on your bed, and I will put my arms behind your back to support you. Merfolk kids love to do this when they go to play on the water surface. And we usually do it to rest.”
You seem not very trustful about it. “This is like how children on earth learn to ride a bicycle then?”
“Bicycles? That two-wheel vehicle? Really, I've always wondered how a person balances on that thing.”
“It also starts with a trust exercise.” you explain “There are bicycles for children to learn to ride that have two small wheels attached to the back wheel, so that the child can get used to the bicycle itself. When the parents think they are ready to remove these two little wheels, the parents hold the seat so that the child isn't afraid of falling. The trick then is to let go when the child is not looking. So when the child sees that they can ride without the help of their parents, they lose their fear and starts to ride alone.”
Azul laughs in amusement. “Interesting. And besides, I'm glad you have the notion that I'm going to let go of you at any moment.” he laughs “But don’t fret. I will only do it when I see that you already feel comfortable in the water. Shall we start?”
You first dive in to get completely wet and get used to the water temperature better. Then Azul places his hands on your back to support you as you lie down. The scary part is getting your feet off the ground. But you feel Azul's hands holding you. You see him above you, partially illuminated by the light from outside the cave.
After a while, you feel more comfortable with your feet on the surface. But you feel like you're still leaning too much on his hands.
“When you float, your ears always end up under the water.” he explains to you. “You must let your head relax. It may seem worrisome when water runs past your ears, but you need to trust that it won't get to your face. Oh, and another thing, try closing your eyes and relaxing. The more rested you are the more easily you will float.”
“It's a bit like quicksand then.”
“I've heard about those. But here you can always get on your feet. So don't be afraid. Water is not your enemy.” He's speaking so gently. So caring.
It's not that friendly tone he uses when talking to customers. Is different. Like he genuinely wants you to learn to swim. That you liked the water. That you liked his world. As if he wants you to, one day, be a part of his world.
You relax your neck, the water rushes past your ears and you no longer hear the outside, just muffled underwater sounds. It's worrying at first, but he was right, the water doesn't reach your face.
You closed your eyes mainly because, although the water doesn't cover your nose or mouth, it reaches a little bit from the tip of your eyes. So it's more comfortable to have them closed.
The sound of underwater is more calming than anyone could imagine. Which helps you to relax. You feel Azul’s hands stop pressing up your back slowly. But the reflex of you raising your head in fear of sinking in the water is inevitable.
“Trust that the water will not let you sink.” he reassures you “If you don't fight it, it won't fight back.”
Take some time until you feel completely confident in the water. But eventually it happens. And when that happens, you don't realize that Azul has let go of you for some time. You only realize when you feel him floating beside you.
You feel his hand holding yours. “Looks like the ocean is starting to fancy you too much.” You hear his voice underwater. You realize that the sea was pulling you a little bit and he’s just holding you for safety.
Or at least that was the case in the beginning. You begin to feel his hand caress yours with his thumb. And when you caress his back, he intertwines his fingers with yours.
You get tired of floating after a while and get back on your feet. The water only reaches your stomach and the same happens with Azul. But when you look down something is strange. You can't see his tentacles. And then you remember a little fun-fact about octopuses.
“Are you camouflaging yourself?”
He gets embarrassed again. “Uh? What? How do you-?... You haven't been researching octopuses, have you?”
Your face says it all. You may or may not have been looking for trivia and facts about octopuses because of him. And additionally about eels because of the twins.
“Wait a second! Does that mean you CAN do that instant camouflage thing?” Your eyes shine with curiosity and wonder, what makes him blush. “That's so cool!”
Despite the blush, he seems slightly upset about it. “Listen, it's just something we're born with. It's nothing special. You shouldn't praise someone for something like that.”
You apologize to him. Were you rude? Did you say something you shouldn't? And he realizes that you felt bad about it.
“I'm sorry. You didn't say anything offensive. It's understandable for a person who has never coexist with merfolks before. Well, to be honest, when I met Jade and Floyd they were a lot more callous about it. And they had no excuse, they are mermen too. But, I understand it can be something cool for those who have never seen it.” he smiles at you so you don't have to worry about it anymore.
“But... why are you doing it now? Are you uncomfortable?”
“*sighs* You know I don't like to show off my merman form. I'm only doing this because it's part of the deal.”
“Sorry.”
“Hmm? For what?”
“For making you do something you're uncomfortable with. It wasn’t my intention. You don't have to do it if you don't want to.”
“And have you working in Mostro Lounge for only one month?” he smiles amused
“Azul, you-”
“If I really was that uncomfortable, do you think I wouldn't have tried harder to modify the deal?” He speaks calmly and smiling. Then he takes a moment, sigh, close his eyes, relax his shoulders and you see something big and dark slowly appear under the water.
“I'm not uncomfortable around you. Don't think that. I just know that most landfolks don't think this is very...” you see a big black and purple tentacle come out of the water next to you. He looks a little sad at that part of him. “...pretty.” but then he looks at you puzzled. “But you already knew. So why ask me this? Why did you want to see me... like this?”
“This is your true form, isn't it? I love to know you. The real you. And to be honest I think you're quite handsome in any form, especially this one.” You make him blush again.
He looks to the side and seems to have seen something underwater. “Would you like to dive in a bit? Don't worry, I know you can't hold your breath for long. I will bring you to the surface as soon as you need to. I just think you'll enjoy to see something.”
He extends his hand to you, you take it. He pulls you in slightly and places his other arm around your waist. he pulls you into a part so deep you can't touch the ground anymore. But Azul is holding you.
“It's down here. Right below us. Don't worry, it's not too deep.” He speaks to you in a soft, affectionate voice. “Take a deep breath and relax, I got you.”
You take a deep breath and the two of you dive in. He holds your hand tightly and guides you just a little deeper. It's dark. Extremely dark. So much so that you would have started to get scared if he hadn't used his magic pen to completely light up that place. And a bunch of beautiful coloured corals appeared. With the surprise you ended up releasing a little more air and you were starting to need to get back to the surface. So you shake Azul's hand and point up. He immediately but gently pulls you to the surface.
“It's beautiful!” you say after catching your breath, hugged him since you were still in the deep water part of the cave. “I just wish I could hold out longer down there.”
“You wish~?” He grabs you around the waist and leads you back to the shallow end of the water. He is smiling charmingly at you. “Well, you know what the rumors say.” He gestures with the magic pen and a potion floats out of one of his coat pockets onto one of his tentacles. “I can grant any wish.”
You recognize the potion, it's the same vial he gave you to breathe underwater when you went to the Atlantica Memorial Museum. You reach up to take the potion, but he takes it out of your reach.
“Too bad this wasn't part of the deal.” he says with a theatrical sadness in his voice.
“Well, technically it was part of the deal.”
“You would not try to drown yourself on purpose. First because I know you're smarter than that, and second if it's done on purpose it's not valid.”
“I know.” you chuckle “Don't worry, I will never do that on purpose. Thought, you planned this didn't you?”
“You say that as if I were some kind of evil mastermind. *sniff* You hurt me.”
“Hu-hum. And you're going to tell me that you haven't already thought about a deal for that potion there?”
“Oh, don't be so mean. I promise it will be a fair deal.”
“If you want me to work one more week at Mostro Lounge, I'll turn down your offer right away.”
“*chuckle* I must admit that in a way it's more fun when your client sees right through you. Fortunately, I also thought you were going to say something along those lines.” He gets closer you, smiling... kinda... seductively. “You know, it may or may not have reached my ears that you have a crush on someone~ Would that be true?”
You don't even know what to answer. Does he know it's him?
“If it is... It may be mutual, you know...” then he gets slightly more serious “The truth. I think that's a more than a fair price for the potion.”
The truth. In fact, he's quite convincing. So you admit that you have a crush and that that crush is him. He gets closer and puts his arms around your waist, breaking the gap between you two. His nose almost touching yours and his eyes looking passionately into yours.
“So maybe you can fulfill a wish of mine. A wish of ours perhaps?”
He lets you kiss his lips and you feel the hug tightening. You feel his kiss needy, as if he can't get enough of you. But he knows when to part from the kiss.
“Maybe I need to start working on an exclusivity deal after this.” he comments, and brings the tentacle that holds the potion closer to you so you can take it.
He breaks the hug for you to drink the potion. And when you're ready, the two of you go back to diving, hand in hand. Now, you even have time to take a good look at Azul's merman form. You don't want to think he's... big. But compared to the two legs of his human form, those eight tentacles took up a lot of space.
You feel your lower body start to rise, and waving your legs to keep yourself upright is starting to wear you out. Azul is grabbing a rock with his tentacles. You pull yourself close to him and thank him to keep you upright.
Seeing you like this, hugging him, in the midst of those beautiful corals and the calming silence of the water, he can't resist kissing you again.
