Okay so we’ve already covered the fact that “-iel” means “of God”, so when Dean called Castiel “Cas” for the first time, he removed the claim God had on him. Remember that our universe Cas was the only one who didn’t follow orders like daddy wanted him to. 

NOW:

In Spanish “Des” implies the action of undoing something, either in a literal or a metaphorical sense.  (The fact that this is in Spanish just makes me go feral because of the Spanish dub) Putting together what we now know “Destiel” can be interpreted to mean “The undoing of God” THE UNDOING OF GOD. DEANCAS WAS LITERALLY THE UNDOING OF GOD.
