the show actively turned from “demons are a big deal” to ah it’s a pretty shitty weekend with everyone gone let’s go thanos snap literal god with lucifers child who was born because lucifer possessed the president of the United States then banged his secretary.

also the spawn of Satan got turned into a tiny dog by a 300+ year old witch to sneak into a vet and steal anti-venom to solve a case of a demi-god who was eating gay people while doing that case dean had the ARCHANGEL Michael trapped in a shitty bar inside his noggin.

I edited a video a few years ago featuring Castiel and the 13x01 episode of Supernatural, and it's still one of my favorites. The beginning of the story between Jack and Cas was so beautiful, and the father-son bond that formed between them was heartwarming. I loved every moment of it.

I can help but think about later seasons SPN Mary. I see better why she struggled so much. All her worst fears since she was a little girl came true and happened to her sons, destroying her life long hope of freedom. Not wonder she pulled away. She is just like Dean for real!

And the song they played when Mary broke free from the nightmare! Round and a round they go! Repeating the same story. It’s what Chuck wants. Ultimate tragedy! But Dean, Sam. Cas and Jack are supposed to break it. I’m so excited for the later episodes oh my god!

Also thinking about Mary’a relationship with Cas and Jack and how she called them her boys. How she embraced that family Dean and Sam created. How John would have reacted soooo differently to Jack!
