his  new  favourite  pastime  is  discovering  every  delicate  sound  jackie  offers  him.  arms  caging  the  blonde  against  the  back  of  the  bus,  they  remain  just  enough  out  of  sight  to  form  some  imagination  when  it  comes  to  privacy.  each  kiss  feels  as  if  there's  the  intent  to  devour,  her  taste  coating  his  tongue  with  every  brush  against  hers.  they're  being  reckless,  connor  still  coming  down  from  his  post-performance  high  as  he  indulges  in  the  only  person  he  finds  can  offer  him  something  similar. 

one  hand  finds  home  on  the  delicate  column  of  her  throat,  keeping  her  head  still  to  make  it  that  much  easier  to  nip  and  tug  at  the  plush  of  her  lower  lip.  a  delicious  vision  of  red  rushes  to  the  surface  of  her  already  kiss-bitten  maw,  a  curious  finger  brushing  against  it  with  the  threat  of  entry.  only  then  does  he  take  a  moment  to  bask  in  the  reality  that  she's  his  —  at  least  for  right  now.  

so  distracted  by  the  vision  before  him,  connor  barely  registers  what  she  says.  each  word  is  spoken  in  a  breath,  both  their  lungs  working  in  unison  to  make  up  for  the  last  few  minutes  of  doing  nothing  but  breathing  each  other  in  as  if  they  were  their  reason  for  being.  dramatic,  perhaps.  but  connor's  always  had  a  thing  for  theatrics.  it's  only  when  he  feels  her  palm  brush  against  the  seam  of  his  jeans,  hears  the  clink  of  his  belt  that  he  realizes  just  what  she's  asking  of  him.

❝  baby  — ❞  he's  cut  off  by  her  lips  finding  his  once  again,  claiming  and  hungry  as  he  returns  in  kind.  the  hand  on  her  throat  tightens  its  grip,  allowing  more  pressure  as  his  free  hand  moves  to  grip  behind  her  thigh,  bringing  her  leg  up  against  his  hip.  any  resolve  he  thought  he  might  have  dissipates  into  nothing  the  longer  he  indulges  in  her,  eventually  releasing  his  hold  on  her  throat  to  grip  the  opposite  thigh.  in  one  swift  motion,  he's  lifting  her  from  her  feet,  encouraging  her  to  wrap  her  legs  around  his  waist  as  he  presses  his  hips  hard  against  her  own,  ❝  you  gunna  be  quiet? ❞  he  breathes  between  kisses,  words  hot  and  hollow  as  his  nose  brushes  against  her,  ❝  be  a  good  girl  and  put  it  in  for  me?   ❞

Significant Jother Prelims!

The prelims for Jacket 4 will come in two waves after the winner’s bonus poll ends on Sunday, so get your votes in there.

First, there will be the prelims to decide between love interests for Johns/Jacks/Variants who had multiple submitted. There are eight of those matches, and they will be released throughout the day on Monday, July 10.

Then, there will be the prelims to decide which single nomination significant jothers will make the bracket. If a nomination was submitted multiple times as the only love interest, they are already in. There are 11 polls of four significant jothers, and the winner of each will make the bracket. I really relate to Jack Torrance. Not because I'm a writer who struggles with their own self image and sometimes has that reflect negatively on things as my own negativity eats me inside no it's really just because this is the exact face I make whenever I've got a head cold.

Character Research: Jack Torrance

Jack was the husband of Wendy Torrance, the father of Danny Torrance and Lucy Stone, the son of Mark Anthony Torrance and an unnamed mother, brother to Becky Torrance and two unnamed brothers, uncle of Jackie Torrance, and the grandfather of Abra Stone. Jack was an author and a former teacher who accepted a position as the winter caretaker of the Overlook Hotel in Colorado, and had an opportunity to write a play.

This trait would develop into a deep misogyny as Jack grew older, despising women for appearing weak, while also detesting his wife whenever she would stand up for herself.

After developing a liking for alcohol, his taste grew into full alcoholism in his 20s. Eventually, the only incident truly capable of shocking Jack into quitting drinking is an incident in which he harmed his son, Danny, during one of his binges.

The evil spirits that inhabited the Overlook Hotel would eventually drive Jack insane by way of drowning him in his alcoholism, past trauma, and fears of becoming as abusive as his father.

Lastly, I went through the same process with Jack Torrance- gathering information from different databases. What I found most interesting with this character was the depth of his alcoholism and anger- something that is crucial to his character development.

This made me see how the weapon he bears (axe or sledgehammer) is a really crucial part of his character, as he tries to kill his family. Alongside this, I found his favourite drink was rum- which I thought would be the perfect object to symbolise his character.
