I've decided I want to design a pattern of sorts for my blog background, as it feels really empty and I've always been a fan of personalized backgrounds, especially for old ask blogs and such. This has led me to question what exactly it should be. I'm thinking I could include motifs that often enter my stories and artwork, but I'm at a total loss of what those are XD

Regardless, I'll try to blog the process here, since pattern design is an interesting avenue that I rarely see artists like me go down. Hopefully I'll be able to do a few more after this, since I've dreamed of having tricked out websites for all sorts of things ^_^

You're the only one who has to love your fic. Kudos, comments, re-blogs...those are all deliciously, wonderfully validating and we all love to receive that positive feedback.

But if you have an idea, a spark that inspires you, that you're passionate about...write it. Even if you think you're the only one who wants to read it...WRITE IT. Take all of that excitement you feel right now, the neat little plot devices that keep coming to you and turn it into something amazing.

Maybe you're right, and no one loves it like you do. But YOU love it. And when you pour all of that love and passion into a project it shows. And someone else will love it too.
