Hot take but i don't actually care for the push anti alignment. d&d is a combat focused game i think its fine to have monsters you know you're going to fight. I think the actual problem is specific races rooted in racist caricatures but everyone frames it round alignment instead? Whats really wrong with wotc generalising gnolls as evil? Evil is a tangible primordial force in the d&d universe, devils and demons exist, a paladin whose corruption is so pervasive it has actual force is a cool idea! (and works mechanically)
If you don't want that in your game thats your perogative but I don't see why its so important to tear it down completely
