there usual rooftop meeting at yujin's house. they did this every single day before yujin became a trainee.

"damn, i miss our daily golden rooftop time" "me too, sorry" y/n gave him a confused face and laughed. "yujin, no you can't be sorry. i understand being a trainee is hard and you're preparing yourself and your team for boy's planet"

yujin was staring deep into the sunset in front of them, he liked his childhood friend all the time. he kept overthinking that if he didn't become a trainee would he and you become together? sure he love the idea but being an idol was one of his biggest dreams.

"yah! han yujin, are you even listening to me?" yujin was snap back to reality. "ha- what'd you say?"

"i said when you debut at least mention your bestest friend" y/n nudges his sides. "yeah yeah as the bestest friend" he mumbled.

both of them were now staring at the sunset. the pink mix with purple, red, and orange skies above them.

it was clear both of them liked each other, but i guess fate didn't work for them.

yujin ranked 9 in the finals meaning he debuted under the name zerobaseone. of course some episodes, he lowkey mention of y/n when it reminds him about her. and in his final speech he can't help but mention your name.

"y/n, i know you'll pinch me but your best friend debuted! thank you for being with us when were still in our diapers!" as the audience awws at their friendship.

while y/n who can't be on the real live setup as she was the new council president watch from the office on her phone. smiling, crying, and laughing at yujin.

"Will. I'm Will Byers," Will offers. He sticks his hand out awkwardly to the other, like he's seen adults do on tv. He feels very adult right now.

The other takes his hand in his - it's ice cold and as smooth as a marble. He gives it a vigorous shake.

"Aren't you cold?"

The blonde shakes his head. "I was at first, but I've been down here a bit. I think I got used to it."

Will doesn't want to 'get used to it'. Even through his jacket he can feel the nip of a chill. If he's here long enough, breathing in the sickly air, will he turn out like him? Cold to the touch and skin devoid of any color?

He shivers at the thought, rubbing the palm of his hands over his biceps.

"You never told me what your name was."

"You never asked." The boy smiles at him. His lips are dry and cracked, fading into a bluish hue, but his teeth are pearly white. "I never asked for yours either."

"Okay," Will says. He waits patiently for another moment, tapping his foot against the ground. "Aren't you going to tell me now?"

The wind whistles around them, whipping into the tree leaves that audibly dance around them. Will has to hold his hands over his face as the chill cuts through his body.

The other doesn't so much as flinch, however, face cracked in a perfect smile, each of his teeth sparkling in the little light surrounding them. "Henry. My name is Henry Creel."
